You have to remember this: Zinogre and Barioth are master rank only in MHW. The reason why they’re easier when you first see them in Rise is because you fight them in low rank first.
@@propheticrain-maker1486 he can be really annoying but once you get use to his move set he gets easy. same with other risen monsters. but they all hit hard now.
As someone has mentioned in the comment section. The list really depends on the weapon you choose. I’ll say this, I was significantly surprised when it came to hunting Jyura. He was one of the easiest monster to deal with in World. In rise, it feels like capcom really pushed for him to be way more sturdier and aggressive than he was comparatively. Having said that, he is still easy. I was just surprised he wasn’t as easy as I remembered. Barrioth was a lot stronger in World for me. He’s a pushover in Rise.
Just started playing MHR on my Series X. This game is freaking awesome!!! I have about close to 300 hours so far and by far Apex Zinogre is my biggest challenge… I have yet to successfully hunt him on my own, and have carted MANY times in co-op. Good stuff👌🏽
Apex rathian surprised me the most, more combo than regular but still extremely predictable. And her spikes puts posion for a very short time so you dont need to heal. Despite that, i pretty much agree with all the rest ahah, nice vid.
Greetings from Germany! The Monster I struggled the most with was in Vanilla Rise Mitsuzune and in Sunbreak was ist Malzeno. I love both, but my good, they were hard haha
I don't have Sunbreak yet as I am on Xbox, but seeing Allmother that low is crazy to me. I've soloed every monster in Rise and she is the only monster that's carted me more than once in one quest. I faced her with a group the first time and I honestly would've agreed with the medium tier ranking if I had only done that but solo wise she was probably the hardest.
As someone who fought Rajang the day he was added into Iceborne for MHW, I get pstd flashbacks every single time I see him in rise, even just in high rank
Haven't played Sunbreak or Rise yet but been wanting to get it for some time now. Also, unless you've made a video on this before, perhaps you could also do a tier list on a few of the previous installments in the franchise for difficulty (World/Iceborne, 4U, etc., etc.)
I find Rathian a lot harder than Rathalos tbh. It may be because I fought both with swaxe in World, but I felt like face tanking a hit or two from rathalos was never that big of a deal, but rathian was constantly stunning, poisoning, and burning me. I also just felt like she was more aggressive in general, but it's very interesting seeing your rankings.
Apex Zinoger and Rathian also seemed much harder cause of the last versions we got on High rank, those were very much a challenge, but with the new gear im sure theyre not as hard now
I have to be honest the hardest monster for me to fight is zinoger and tigrex but they some how made tigrex easier in sunbrake than rise but anyways yeah zinoger and I have beef but crimsonglow is in my opinion not that hard it has like 3 new moves and a modified move with the later doing it 1ns and slaming it again that's all all you have to do is dodge left right and your safe so honestly I would put crimson glow on top of médium or a new rank médium and half
Khezu isn't hard, he's just an a-hole. If it weren't for his amazing theme, the screaming, constant stuns due to thunderblight and unblockable triple bolt would just make this thing so incredibly hatable
for me barioth and seregios was ALOT easier and in noway the same league as scorned. maybe its because of the weapons, idk - but id never think barioth or seregios was as hard
I can kill Raging Brachydios, Ranjang, etc at master rank in Monster Hunter World, but I can't kill a Rathalos or Zinogre at High Rank in Monster Hunter Rise And they still say this game is easy
I think I disagree with majority of this list, and would've placed nearly every single monster differently but to each their own! These tier lists really do show how how one person's challenges can be easy for another and visa versa.
Rakna Kadaki is a weird monster for me. Every time I fight her it’s a coin toss as to whether she’s a nightmare or an absolute cakewalk. Does anyone else have something similar?
Played through base Rise recently and the only monster that messed me up and carted me thrice was surprisingly tobi kadachi didnt remember him hitting that hard in world lmao plus he was fast and stunned me into combos The supposedly harder mons than him like zinogre, teostra etc i must have farmed forever so i was too used to them
I always found rathalos easy but its the full body charge that always get me. Honestly and monster with a fully body charge is a headache to deal with. Sometimes i find myself disagreeing with the hitboxes
Never once carted to Rise/Sunbreak Barioth but I have to Gore. Zinogre is a fight I generally don't enjoy because of his big frame causing weird hitboxes but he's not hard by any means.
I feel like Goss should be in hard tier since he hard punishes players who overcommit their offense and get checked, since his blades can scoop you up OTG and basically requires you wirefall out of every attack he connects while enraged (something you can't do if you spent all your bugs on offense). Messing up ONCE against this guy after being on a roll can still get you killed instantaneously.
Man I love being hit by every boss when I'm 15 feet above them :D Hitboxes in games are so hard for programmers to make, hopefully after 15 years of mhw they can finally make good ones for the next mhw game
This list comes from a guy who has sank near endless time into the series. I've only ever played rise and only got 90 hrs in it. This list does not accurately represent difficulty for noobs. Just being honest. I'm sure the game is different when you have everything crafted, but actually trying to rank up solo as a beginner, the game is hard as shit. Except the somnicanth, that was easy.
For me Chamelios,Barrioth and GosHarag are top easy, used to hunt them for quick cash before I knew the mining route... but Almudron is definitely Top medium or bottomHard tier for me 😥😅.
I honestly find Barioth more readable and thus easier then Almudron and Mizu xD Its even easier then Iceborne one I dont like Mizu and Almu...these two are all over the place spinning, bubbling, mudding and jumping and the weps I usually pick dont have much of a counter I even like Zino puppy more then these two :,DD still more readable to me x)
Just curious but are you basing these ranks on solo or multiplayer hunts? Also what part of Germany are you from? At least I'm assuming your from there given the subtitles.
Don't have Sunbreak yet but spamming, hyper aggressive monsters like Magnamalo and Teostra for example are always Extreme for me. They get borderline bullshit with their broke hitboxes when they go Gold Crown during the quest especially. Very frustrating and not fun to fight nor beat. Tigrex, Rajang, Diablos and Nargacuga though are challenging, fun and rewarding for me though. I mainly use Swaxe, CB, LS, and SnS. Maybe my list will be challenged and changed when I commit to the Ranged Weapons and Lance more.
My list would have the following changes: -Apex Zinogre is the only monster in Extreme tier. -Apex Rathian demoted to Hard tier. -Crimson Glow Valstrax demoted to high Hard tier. -Risen Chameleos demoted to the top of Medium tier. -Violet Mizutsune moved to top of Hard tier. -Flaming Espinas moved to mid Hard tier. -Barioth demoted to low Medium tier. -Malzeno demoted to high Medium tier. -Both Rajangs demoted one tier each. -Seregios demoted to mid Medium tier. -Diablos demoted to the top of Easy tier. -Aurora Somnacanth promoted low Medium tier. -Almudron promoted to mid Easy tier. -Garangolm promoted to bottom of Medium tier. -Lunagaron demoted to high Easy tier. -Seething Bazelgeuse moved to the spot above Bazelgeuse in Medium tier.
I… really am not proud to admit it, but I genuinely struggle with Chameleos. I’ve committed myself the past few days to purely learning it’s fight/habits but I can’t seem to understand it and I get frustrated and push it away and go fight Valstrax or something I understand 😅
Gunlance marks him and offers great defense what my favorite thing to use is hunting horn the rampage tree has a heal option that allows healing large it basically gives you infinite health potions with the right switch skill it makes killing it a lot easier
@@chunkywalrusthegamer1450 With the new Title Updates, Ive been able to use the Risen decorations to combat their respective counters, as copium as it is. since I haven’t had to worry about chameleos venom, the fights been less stressful and I have been able to pin down some of its attacks. Kind of a shame but what’s monster hunter without using all the tools your given right
I think you forgot Primordial Malzeno, and by the universe, I was absolutely demolished by that beast of a creature. Even Lucent Nargacuga and Violet Mizu got easier after a while, but, damn, Primordial Malzeno was a hellstorm.
It demolished me my first time around. Now, I have 10 of them slayed and they're just easy, but it is still so insanely difficult to understand its patterns your first time around. And, for gunlance players, I feel sorry. Since I use hammer, it was slightly bearable to hit the thing, but it won't sit still for half a millisecond
These lists are always subjective. It all depends on how hardcore or casual a player you are, cause for me as a fashion hunter? Almost every monster pass 3 star on BASE rise is a hassle. Me and my husband cant even beat ANY of the Apex either. Just about every monster pass 3 star monster is extreme imo 🤣🤣🤣
Malzeno was a menace to fight, he's probably the only monster in the game who made me fundamentally change how I play my weapon, honestly he was so much fun, he 100% deserves to be at in hard tier
Considering that Apex Zinogre goes toe to toe with Amatsu and even shakes himself out of wyvern rideable state one time, I agree with him being Extreme difficulty. Guy's a beast.
Gaismagorm is thrashing my ass, I've beaten him several times but almost every other time I try to fight him I get 3 carted by some of his wombo combo explosions and the moves where he swings his whole body around to face you with a giant charged explosion
I fainted only once with this guy and I killed it offline. The key to beat it is to distract him with your Palamute and Florayne while you deal damage to the tail and hindlimbs. Aim the head and forelimbs ONLY if it's stunned.
Aside from the standard factors that go into the game's "threat level" system, a lot depends on your weapon of choice. As someone with hundreds of hunts with most weapons I'll suggest a few general changes here: - Almadron may not be the toughest fight in the world but "Very Easy" is for the mindless punching bag monsters which this is not. Should be Medium. - Apex Rathian should drop down to hard if not medium. For ranged, Balistics and Evade Extender can help if you really have a hard time, but really it's got the amazing raw and dragon hitzone values on the head which is nearly always in clear view, she's easy to stun, and most of her attacks are well telegraphed for a monster of her threat level. She does have range in her tail attacks, but that's why you have evade extender. Dash and pew pew. No problem. - Risen Cameleos' main threat is toxin which can be *disabled* now with a few cheap points of Teo's Blessing (now 1-point decos). Even without/before that, it's a slow, heavy hitting monster that telegraphs all the heavy hits. She's a bit harder than the regular Cameleos, but regular Cameleos was a lamb of an elder dragon. Doesn't deserve top threat distinction. - Khezushould get a nod to Medium. Those paralysis attacks are a 1-2 KO if you're not careful. It's slow, and mostly easy, but deceptive. - Regular Zinogre is very weak to ranged because of the long "howl" animations where you can pummel his face and stop his power-up. You can do this several times a hunt with impunity aside from attacking when he's down, etc. He's CC'd for like most of the fight even without stickys. - Apex Diablos was disappointingly easy. Probably doesn't deserve more than Medium. They should have reduced recovery time between attacks and upper her charging speed. - Bishaden should be moved up to "Easy" because his projectiles, status effects and jump-around nature are annoying for most weapons. Not "hard", but "annoying" which the "very easy" monsters generally aren't. - The Allmother should move up a rank. No way it should be equal to Magma Almadron, meanwhile Almadron is equal to Great Wroggi. - I'd move Rajang to Easy, in part just to emphasize the level of disappointment that they took such a great Iceborn monster and brought him down so low. Such slow recovery times, and practically his whole body is a slicing damage weakpoint...
Yeah different weapons definitely have a effect on difficulty rating. As a lance main, all the fast monsters like zinogre and Valstrax are a casual rhythm game for me. But when I first fought Seething Bagel I carted 2 times from the aoe. Then I called it BS and switched to LS and barely got hit lmao.
Imo monsters who are the only unique in rise are the one who is difficult at first. Monsters like nargacuga, zinogre, barioth, etc, monsters that existed in the older mh gen are the ones I find easy since most of their attack pattern from the old games are still in game so your muscle memory just plays with it
i think it depends on what weapon you wield , like when i use longsword on rathalos or seregios i get trashed so bad but when pull up on them with insect glaive on my back they cant even touch me😂
Sunbreak must make a huge difference because us on system rn are facing some of these monsters & would put them much higher up. Like Zinogre & Barioth I find way easier than Rajang & Baz
Tetranodon was one of the hardest for me Until one fight when I suddenly didn’t get hit again and they’ve been easy ever since No idea what changed but it went from worst thing to fight to I-Would-Probably-OHKO-This-If-I-Used-Anything-Other-Than-Dual-Blades in the span of a day with no training
For me, Tigrex is ridiculously hard when he first becomes available. Up to that point I was only carted a couple times and was mostly just walking through the game. Enter Tigrex and I'm getting carted repeatedly and getting frustrated. CB player.
Black Diablos still strikes fear into me even now, it's a shame since Monster Hunter World, I'm sure when she is going to make an appearance in future games, as honestly it was a pleasant surprise, except in the guiding lands where it was hell to hunt her! XD
I think you have played this so much that you are not looking at it through a casual game player spectrum and i have not been playing MHR that long and some of these monsters are a lot harder than u are giving them credit for
I'm not too sure about your placement of Rajang, and Barioth... In my opinion these monsters are SEVERELY NERFED compared to any other gen, they were in... Like, I almost feel bad hunting them... Definitely would not put Barioth in A Class, maybe just "Easy" (As well as Rajang...) As for the others, with slight differences in opinion, I wouldn't argue too greatly one way or another... As it is Rise/Sunbreak is just simply put the most Noob-Friendly MH Game ever produced... I still very much crave that Wall, that I've desperately been waiting for that REALLY makes you have to stop, come up with proper tactics, and builds to deal with them... I can probably count the total times I've carted on both hands and feet, to be honest... and I'm not even that defensive of a player, and opt for aggression over retreat most times...(Especially with Anomaly Monsters...) I'm just really saddened that we STILL DO NOT HAVE PROPER SIEGE MONSTERS, to be perfectly honest... Ahtal-ka would be AMAZING with Wirebugs... (but I'm sure that dream of mine will never come into fruition...) One Can Hope Tho, but I am Not Holding My Breath... It does really make me wonder tho, WHY HAVEN'T WE HAD PROPER SIEGE MONSTERS, YET??? (and don't give me that crap that Narwa/Ibushi/Almother, Count as that category...) Side-Note:I really miss grinding for good stuff... Kulve Taroth, and Safi'jiva weapons, in particular... Even Rare Combination Level 4 Talismans I miss receiving at the end of the hunt to better optimize and create a multitude of build options... But I am getting way off topic from the conversation at hand... Anyways, I enjoy your videos, keep up the good work, I shall keep on watching... Happy Hunting!

Lol when i fought Zinogre in Rise i was stumped how easy it was compared to Iceborne. So i would put him instead in medium.
You have to remember this: Zinogre and Barioth are master rank only in MHW. The reason why they’re easier when you first see them in Rise is because you fight them in low rank first.
22:10
I had more trouble fighting Daimyo than any other monster, so that placement is crazy to me 💀
21:20 welp, we got a Risen Valstrax now XD
the risen chameleos has been the only monster in the game that has made fail a quest... like that dude hits hard.
Chameleos has always been a monster to sneak a cart or two in on me. I don't find his fight difficult but every now and then he one pops me.
Barioth in World was such a crazy difficulty spike out of nowhere. It made me put the game down for weeks. I love being able to pulp them in rise
I sure would love to do another one for MHW + IB
I find Rathian a lot harder than Rathalos tbh. It may be because I fought both with swaxe in World, but I felt like face tanking a hit or two from rathalos was never that big of a deal, but rathian was constantly stunning, poisoning, and burning me. I also just felt like she was more aggressive in general, but it's very interesting seeing your rankings.
Rajang in medium is crazy
For me personally Barioth is one of the easier ones to hunt, eaven went on farming spree just to make sure it was that easy 😅🙌🏻
Apex Zinoger and Rathian also seemed much harder cause of the last versions we got on High rank, those were very much a challenge, but with the new gear im sure theyre not as hard now
Can anyone tell me how at 0:52 he seemed to lasso the creature with the silk bug? That would be amazing.
It's the master rank helper "marionette spider". Yes, you can yank monsta
Liver failure speedrun: take a shot every time this guy says "easy".
Love it my man! Keep it up
I have to be honest the hardest monster for me to fight is zinoger and tigrex but they some how made tigrex easier in sunbrake than rise but anyways yeah zinoger and I have beef but crimsonglow is in my opinion not that hard it has like 3 new moves and a modified move with the later doing it 1ns and slaming it again that's all all you have to do is dodge left right and your safe so honestly I would put crimson glow on top of médium or a new rank médium and half
I can kill Raging Brachydios, Ranjang, etc at master rank in Monster Hunter World, but I can't kill a Rathalos or Zinogre at High Rank in Monster Hunter Rise
And they still say this game is easy
I think I disagree with majority of this list, and would've placed nearly every single monster differently but to each their own!
These tier lists really do show how how one person's challenges can be easy for another and visa versa.
Magnamelo probably my fav monster he look real cool and his battle music feel like a epic fight
3:37 Pukei is a bird wyvern
🤓🤓🤓
@@cybersenpai8780 😀👍
I am 22 years old and laughed when you said "giant ass-butt" when talking about Rakna. Thank you
I aim to please^^
Rakna Kadaki is a weird monster for me. Every time I fight her it’s a coin toss as to whether she’s a nightmare or an absolute cakewalk. Does anyone else have something similar?
Played through base Rise recently and the only monster that messed me up and carted me thrice was surprisingly tobi kadachi didnt remember him hitting that hard in world lmao plus he was fast and stunned me into combos
The supposedly harder mons than him like zinogre, teostra etc i must have farmed forever so i was too used to them
I always found rathalos easy but its the full body charge that always get me.
The fact that apex diablos is basically a bay blade for when its enraged doesnt sound fun at all 💀💀
0:12 - 0:17 was probably one of the best transitions I've ever seen.
Man I love being hit by every boss when I'm 15 feet above them :D
Hitboxes in games are so hard for programmers to make, hopefully after 15 years of mhw they can finally make good ones for the next mhw game
How to view the monster models like you did in the videos? They are so cool but I could not find that option ingame
For me Chamelios,Barrioth and GosHarag are top easy, used to hunt them for quick cash before I knew the mining route... but Almudron is definitely Top medium or bottomHard tier for me 😥😅.
I honestly find Barioth more readable and thus easier then Almudron and Mizu xD Its even easier then Iceborne one
I dont like Mizu and Almu...these two are all over the place spinning, bubbling, mudding and jumping and the weps I usually pick dont have much of a counter
I even like Zino puppy more then these two :,DD still more readable to me x)
Just curious but are you basing these ranks on solo or multiplayer hunts?
Also what part of Germany are you from? At least I'm assuming your from there given the subtitles.
I love the Digimon World Soundtrack on 23:00❤️
Don't have Sunbreak yet but spamming, hyper aggressive monsters like Magnamalo and Teostra for example are always Extreme for me.
22:54 I recognise digimon world soundtrack
1000 defense + max stun resistance + max blight resistance = All monsters are super easy, afflicted or not.
My list would have the following changes:
-Apex Zinogre is the only monster in Extreme tier.
Oh don’t be sorry I play Ls and other weapons and I struggle against them too, even tho I know what their gonna do right away.
Even Lucent Nargacuga and Violet Mizu got easier after a while, but, damn, Primordial Malzeno was a hellstorm.
check the date of the video bro...
Fair enough...
haha, I'm an idiot :)
@@theashrebornagain Nah you're fine, the guy in the video is more of an idiot
@@theashrebornagainit is the most predictable monster, but the problem is it attacks too often so you have to not make a mistake for like 500 attacks
Your rathian sticks to the ground? Mine is in the air 70% of the fight doing triple / quadruple backflips
Wait...
I unlocked risen chameleos a week ago...
Do there come the others still or is the game finished?
i am a tetranadon fan so the tetanadon should be a easy s tier
These lists are always subjective. It all depends on how hardcore or casual a player you are, cause for me as a fashion hunter? Almost every monster pass 3 star on BASE rise is a hassle. Me and my husband cant even beat ANY of the Apex either. Just about every monster pass 3 star monster is extreme imo 🤣🤣🤣
Fashion hunter?
Afaik there's what we call layered armor and weapon.
@@jcc4543 Wait, what? Are you asking what a fashion hunter is??
@@AllyJ1141 nope I'm just flabbergasted cause new gen mh have layered armors so no need to fashion hunter.
@@jcc4543 What do you mean? Do you not need the monster parts to make Layered armorin Sunbreak? I didnt beat SB yet.
As someone with hundreds of hunts with most weapons I'll suggest a few general changes here:
- Almadron may not be the toughest fight in the world but "Very Easy" is for the mindless punching bag monsters which this is not.
What armor set is that in the video for Risen Chameleos?
Yeah different weapons definitely have a effect on difficulty rating. As a lance main, all the fast monsters like zinogre and Valstrax are a casual rhythm game for me.
But when I first fought Seething Bagel I carted 2 times from the aoe. Then I called it BS and switched to LS and barely got hit lmao.
Imo monsters who are the only unique in rise are the one who is difficult at first. Monsters like nargacuga, zinogre, barioth, etc, monsters that existed in the older mh gen are the ones I find easy since most of their attack pattern from the old games are still in game so your muscle memory just plays with it
Damn this guy must be a god if almost all the monsters aren’t hard for him lol 😂🧢
That's why I'm saying lol
To this day ill never forget playing world (the 1st MH game i ever played) and ran into deviljho. Took me hours to beat him
i think it depends on what weapon you wield , like when i use longsword on rathalos or seregios i get trashed so bad but when pull up on them with insect glaive on my back they cant even touch me😂
Violet Mizu made life HELL for me when I unlocked the quest. Damn thing burnt through my health faster than a formula 1 car.
Sunbreak must make a huge difference because us on system rn are facing some of these monsters & would put them much higher up. Like Zinogre & Barioth I find way easier than Rajang & Baz
Could I ask what weapons you play?
Tetranodon was one of the hardest for me
Until one fight when I suddenly didn’t get hit again and they’ve been easy ever since
No idea what changed but it went from worst thing to fight to I-Would-Probably-OHKO-This-If-I-Used-Anything-Other-Than-Dual-Blades in the span of a day with no training
For me, Tigrex is ridiculously hard when he first becomes available. Up to that point I was only carted a couple times and was mostly just walking through the game. Enter Tigrex and I'm getting carted repeatedly and getting frustrated. CB player.
Then I switched to hunting horn and wrecked tigrex first try. :p
Wait, did you mean to skip Amatsu or was he accidentally not covered in the show?
This came out before amatsu was added
Black Diablos still strikes fear into me even now, it's a shame since Monster Hunter World, I'm sure when she is going to make an appearance in future games, as honestly it was a pleasant surprise, except in the guiding lands where it was hell to hunt her! XD
Just realized that the subtitels in the Tetranadon cutscene are in german 🤣
and now where did you put primordial malzeno?
Does anyone think that his avatar reminds you of Jocat’s oc.
By the way sweet video 😊
Afflicted Rathalos would destroy me half the time as a bloodlust hammer player.
Interesting to see that your Subtitles in MHR are in German during the Rathian / Rathalos scene
I don't think I ever struggled in this game until primordial malzeno
I think you have played this so much that you are not looking at it through a casual game player spectrum and i have not been playing MHR that long and some of these monsters are a lot harder than u are giving them credit for
This is absolutly dependent on what weapon you're using.
bro needs to realize we aren’t all super good at this game like him💀
Monoblos should be in the next title update right?
I'm not too sure about your placement of Rajang, and Barioth... In my opinion these monsters are SEVERELY NERFED compared to any other gen, they were in... Like, I almost feel bad hunting them... Definitely would not put Barioth in A Class, maybe just "Easy" (As well as Rajang...)
As for the others, with slight differences in opinion, I wouldn't argue too greatly one way or another... As it is Rise/Sunbreak is just simply put the most Noob-Friendly MH Game ever produced... I still very much crave that Wall, that I've desperately been waiting for that REALLY makes you have to stop, come up with proper tactics, and builds to deal with them... I can probably count the total times I've carted on both hands and feet, to be honest... and I'm not even that defensive of a player, and opt for aggression over retreat most times...(Especially with Anomaly Monsters...)
I'm just really saddened that we STILL DO NOT HAVE PROPER SIEGE MONSTERS, to be perfectly honest... (and don't give me that crap that Narwa/Ibushi/Almother, Count as that category...)
Side-Note:I really miss grinding for good stuff...
Malzeno is my favorite monster in monster hunter. Fantastic monster 10/10
I still remember soloing lao san lung on MH1 and that big ass mdfk need almost 40 minutes of constan baraging with HBG...
