If you are talking about the blue lines along Zinogre's shoulders then they are not porous, it's just a pattern on it's skin At the very least, I specifically haven't seen anything similar to what you are describing on Zinogre's in-game model
@@Casto3924 While it is true the blue lines aren’t it, you can see what’s being described on the yellow scutes along it’s back and on the underside of it’s horns. Those are the Fulgurbug nests being mentioned.
@@lynxfresh5214 Honestly, I may be wrong but for a Chameleos to fight a Kushala Daora, close combat seems like the only option because if the wind stars blowing I don't see how all that poison will reach the metal scaled guy.
Apsolutly fantastic work guys! Loved all the visual call backs to the old official ones like Teo and Kushala geting in an arguments, Rajang and other ivador entering their enraged states as they roar off against eachother, the Palico been in the air to show the bigger monsters, and that classic "roar turns the place dark" with Narga jumping over Zinogre who brings back the light with his charge up roar.
I've always liked how Bazelgeuse's cry is modeled after an air raid siren, and that's why it earned the nickname of the b-52 because that noise is indicative of the bombing run immediately after.
Always love how these videos put the monsters in perspective. Something like jaggi looks so small in game until you realize it's almost the length of 2 doors
I love how you guys tried to imitate the mh3 and mh4 official size comparison videos. The zinogre and nargacuga scene is the biggest nod. Brings back memories. Solid work guys👌🏾

Did they really increase the size of Jyuratodus that much in Rise? IIRC in World it was a bit smaller than a Barroth and could actually crawl on it during the turf war ... Amazing job to both you and the original creator, can't wait to see a version with the Sunbreak roster.
jyuratodus got a glowup in rise, except his design, he still ugly as hell. but his fight, armor, and weapons are pretty good now and his roar flinches, which i thought was cool
@@npc14835 I love its design, honestly prefer it over the other piscine wyverns, jyura is more detailed and the fact they used lobe-finned fish as a base adds to its amphibious lifestyle, Plesioth is literally a wyvern with generic fish texture slapped on.
Man this is amazing! This felt like a sweet recap of all the quirky, weird, funny, annoying, awesome monsters I faced so many times in my Rise 110% playthrough
I usually go quality over quantity not the other way around but at least i appreciate the varation that Rise offers, as such iam glad that leviathans returned in base and crabs are also coming back in expansion, 30 june can't come quickly enough!
I hope that the Gore Mangala, Dalamander, Brachydios, and White and Crimson Fatalis are coming back. Also with improved story and soundtrack like Mh4u.
As large as these monsters are the only monster I ever felt intimidated by as far as size was Ceadues/Goldbeard Ceadeus in MH Tri.. The whale like size while fighting under water really was crazy. The underwater battleground was dope too
Dropping a comment two years later just to say how well done this is. You’ve packed so much personality into it, and it’s so much fun to watch. Rise was my entry into MH, and you guys did it so much justice. Keep on being legends
Here's hoping sunbreak introduces some big lads in the likes of shara, safi, kulve. Hunting extremely large monsters as a group is always a huge highlight of these games
Great video!!! Now that the game allows you to have many monsters together, it would be nice to have quests where several monsters come together to kill you, for example a pack of Great Wroggi and Great Izuchi fighting together against you, or two Royal Ludroth. I remember that for example, the sudden appearance of the Deviljho in MHGU created quite a bit of tension in the game. Also, it would be nice if heavy attacks from monsters take half health off a full bar, I feel like a lot of attacks are weak but on the other hand Apex monsters can kill you in one hit, it would be nice to have something in between. PD: Sorry for my Google english.
Capcom should collab with you to make an actual size comparison like the old days! Although, this is so incredibly well done that you don't need to collab with anyone

This... This is even better than the previous one! Better animations, monsters casually moving to their spot later on in the background, coming in through the ground or from the air... I actually forgot to look at the sizes more often than not! Great job!
the last one LOOKED better, but this one had a few more charming bits, like Lagombi reacting to the Khezu roar and the, although i feel like some areas coud have been better, like Goss Harag not turning red or how some physics seemed to be missing in areas, like the Somnicanths head fin where it looked really stiff besides that really fun video, well done

6:20 Ibushi is... suprisingly plain without its unique lighting effects and particles. in-game it doesn't look like anything Monster Hunter never had done before, but here in this comparison video looks like a Gen 3/4 monster.

Looks like Zinogre has something going on there beyond light emission) but it’s the size that really matters anyway. I started playing Monster Hunter Rise a few months ago, but I knew that the official posted a video in a similar format, so I was very happy when I found out about this video. For some reason, i get more terrified of monsters like Anjanath, Tigrex, and Goss Horag than an Elder Dragon like Gaismagorm... There's something about them that terrifys me. Tigrex and Barioth are so fast and deadly, Anjanath is a literal fire tyrannosaurus rex, and Goss Horag just has such a menacing presence. Watching him slowly walk towards me with his ice sword is just... I don't know, fearful. Even similar monsters like Barroth are nowhere near as bad. Perhaps it's because of how clunky and clumsy they are, compared to Anjanath being precise and devastating per hit, or perhaps because of how many times I've already fought them...
I always loved how MH cms are cm+ or something because I never saw a monster whose size relative to the hunter's makes sense. Based on the video Arzuros is taller than my house.
Most of the monsters are already comparable in size to large dinosaurs and when you reach monsters that as big as Lao Shao Lung (or bigger) you're in Kaiju territory. Pretty sure the serpents are comparable in size to a Blue Whale (just imagine an animal that large swimming through the air?).
length often gets included in the equation too, the Leviathans for example have a long 'snake-like' build so they're often 'bigger' as a result of that even if they don't seem all that tall.
This is awesome!!!! Look at all the detail!!! Instead of Just making the monsters stand in their idle pose you gave them personality and let them free lose!!!! Love It!
I always felt this way, and this just makes it clearer, but there isnt enough variation in size. Sure the biggest monsters are about twice the size of the smaller ones, but I wish they were even bigger still. I want to occasionally fight something truly massive

I love the weapons so much, the glow for weapons with powered up states is incredible!

Yup the references were top notch, I especially enjoyed seeing Khezu crawling on wall in the background as a call back to its cousin Gigginox.

Rampage hast to be one of the best OSTs made for a Monster Hunter title.
Rampage has 3 OSTs... All of them are fun to listen to... I even used them in background when playing other games
The Rampage theme honestly feels like the real Rise theme to me.

For some reason, i get more terrified of monsters like Anjanath, Tigrex, and Goss Horag than an Elder Dragon like Gaismagorm...
There's something about them that terrifys me. Tigrex and Barioth are so fast and deadly, Anjanath is a literal fire tyrannosaurus rex, and Goss Horag just has such a menacing presence. Watching him slowly walk towards me with his ice sword is just... I don't know, fearful.
Even similar monsters like Barroth are nowhere near as bad. Perhaps it's because of how clunky and clumsy they are, compared to Anjanath being precise and devastating per hit, or perhaps because of how many times I've already fought them...

I always loved how MH cms are cm+ or something because I never saw a monster whose size relative to the hunter's makes sense.
Based on the video Arzuros is taller than my house.
Most of the monsters are already comparable in size to large dinosaurs and when you reach monsters that as big as Lao Shao Lung (or bigger) you're in Kaiju territory. Pretty sure the serpents are comparable in size to a Blue Whale (just imagine an animal that large swimming through the air?).
a lot are measured in length, not height, but even still some don't quite add up
length often gets included in the equation too, the Leviathans for example have a long 'snake-like' build so they're often 'bigger' as a result of that even if they don't seem all that tall.
@@taloscal I know not every monster is measured in the same way, but there's no way Arzuros is 5.6 meters.

I think MHW has the more powerful monsters but, WHR has more diversity of monsters. We need a bigger game. Hope they're working on it.

I always felt this way, and this just makes it clearer, but there isnt enough variation in size. Sure the biggest monsters are about twice the size of the smaller ones, but I wish they were even bigger still. I want to occasionally fight something truly massive

Try playing MH4U, some of the gigantic monsters are actually fighting back real hard in comparison to zorah who's just walking
