Now before anyone says it, I know I could've used bowguns to hit the tail. I just never thought of it at the time and even if I did know to use ranged weapons I wouldn't have because they would've trivialized this challenge. I know the concept wasn't that good but this video was an experiment. So there's your answers.
What about Lance? It is a very precise weapon and it dosen't have high damage

Can you beat rise amatsu without using wirebugs of any kind? Everything else is allowed.

nice, very nice! I'd like to ask though, any reason you didn't try using the Bow or Bowgun at close range? They're pretty good at precision attacks, imo. something like the Lance might have worked too, if you could consistently target the tail. after all, iirc, pierce damage doesn't cut tails
In the old version lance can both break parts like a hammer, and also cut tails like an edge weapon. Nowadays I think it can only cut tails.
@@keroro407 is that so? never really used lance, so wouldn't know for sure, but still think gunner weapons(or maybe even some kinsects, if you're insane) could work
@@deathstinger13you can cut tails with Lance, but what I was wondering was why not gunlance on the list too? Hit zones aren’t an issue, you can fly around like Valstrax and if you miss hit, no biggie, not too big of a damage loss + defence. I don’t play GL myself and would’ve gone bow but still think it’d be the best option
After many hunts with Amatsu, I never see the tail get cut off before Valstrax invade in the fight
Yeah. In a few of my hunts, the Wyvern Ride on Valstrax ends up being what severs the tail. But I suspect the tail coming off doesn't happen before that point is because most people go for the head.
I've had it happen a bunch of times, tbh.
I think it's confirmed that you can only cut off the tail at the end part of the hunt, it entirely gets prevented from getting severed before the turf war

This was amazing , but I bet you can't beat Risen Shagaru Mangala or Amatsu with no armor or using high rank weapons.

You could have used a gunner weapon, it would have made it easier to target the hind legs and tail

Eh? Did you really say palamute does less damage than the palico? That isn't even close. They have the higher damage due to not having as much utility for buffs and stuff.
0:04 meanwhile event quests in mh4u adds 1 new monster white fatalis. So yeah i'd say this was good. World also had 2 monsters for an update that being at velkhana and fatalis.
Can't you just return from quest to keep the dragonspire? Don't have to abandon it.

You saying you will quit the whole time isn't a very convincing case of don't quit lol
If you want to keep the materials from an abandoned quest, use the leave quest option. It's basically abandon with your lost and gained items carrying over to the base.
If you played with Luchika more you probably would know that they can break parts. I'm fairly sure that's like one of her things to break parts. :)
This is maybe the most useless and the most worth it thing I've ever saw 😅
