- Today we find out if it's possible to beat Monster Hunter Rise with rules that would make beating the game seem impossible. Yes I ReaverJolt took on this insane challenge.
Challenge Rules:
1. No Armor
2. Rarity 1 weapons Only
3. Must use your least proficient weapon type
4. No items
5. No Buddies
6. No outside help
7. No canteen
8. No Endemic Life (Except Spiribirds)
9. No Wirebug (except in Rampages while mounted on a turret)
10. No Wyvern Riding (Must let Monster shake you off)
11. No Switch Skills (Only Default)

I just got an idea. This Run would also be very possible with Hunting Horn, as it can heal you and has Sound wave attacks.

I feel like, to make this actually POSSIBLE in High Rank, maybe make it so you can use ot to Rarity 2 or 3 weapons and armour?

Just wanna mention that most people that claim that Rise is too easy probably started in mhw and their second monster hunter is never as hard as the first, but they have no valid arguments. Monsters literally make more damage, are faster and most of the combat depends on you, not using clutch claw and flinching the monster. Also because LS is disgustingly OP, but if you play other blade master wep it isn't. Also Isn't the hardest but neither the easiest.
Anyway good job learning insect glaive, it is the best weapon ever apart from charge blade and dual blades
I play all(yes include 1 and Dos) so I can confidently say Rise is the most braindead and easiest Monster Hunter in the series and most low rank monsters only take me 4-8 minutes to kill even without farming for gear meanwhile in first and second gen you'll be f*cked by yian kut ku armor if you don't have green sharpness because in those game it armor is alot thicker and will bounce on every part even in low rank

I think this challenge could become more "accessible" to other weapon types after sunbreak. As they said they wanted to implement a change that allows you to wallrun without using a wirebug so scaling would become a none issue.

As an insect glaive player the lack of pole vault dodges hurts. However you were learning the weapon on the fly. Great video definately subbing for more

as an insect glaive main, the beggining was somehow painful to watch
This challenge is gonna be better once Sunbreak is out because of certain changes so you’ll be able to use more weapons. I wonder if they’ll apply to the base game even without buying the expansion.

I'm glad you completed your challenge.
I want to do a world challenge where everything is the same, but every monster has its stats multiplied by 3. Hopefully, it would be similar to fighting g rank monsters in low rank, and something above that in High. Not that I know how monster stats work… nor do I know how to begin to mod that in… nor am I even that good of a player… but it’s an interesting thought.
It is painful to me how you played insect glaive because it is my main weapon. But what can I do X_X.

was Rise really that easy? Well, I still enjoyed it, at any rate. it's the first Mohun I've gotten past the village quests on, and felt like I actually sorta knew what I was doing
I tried it with the first monster hunter, only first weapon and no gear upgrades. It was a nightmare XD

How to make Rise hard: Literally can't use any mechanics or anything besides weapon and tent.
How to make all the other Monster Hunter games hard: Hit "New Game" on main menu.
Still easy (I haven't even completed one mh game nor played Rise)
