    At 4:22 a very important step might be missed. It is how he establishes wash out in a flying wing. This is not necessary in a normal wing.

    Excellent Numa.
    I've been using 6 mm sheet foam (Orange County California) for several years (after 40 years before that using hot wire foam). I picked up lots of tricks watching your video. Thank You so much for putting this video together.
    I find sheet foam makes a pretty nice airfoil without ribs; just the spar.
    I scribe a notch in the foam on the inside of the leading edge, but I'll try your straight edge method.
    I didn't know you can use an iron on packaging tape. I'll try that.
    I use 64th ply a lot to strengthen extended sheets of foam and 1 cm strips on the surface of the wing to make the flange part of a spar.

    • @quadflopper1012
      @quadflopper1012 5 лет назад +1

      what store are you buying the 6mm foam from and what is it originally used for, all we have at home dumpot where i live is that thick pink insulation crap which works great if you want to do the whole airfoil thing but that's way too much work and takes way too long.....

Whenever I go into home hardware or Michaels and ask for depron or extruded polystyrene Nobody knows what I'm talking about, and I'm hesitant to buy normal 5mm foam board because in the video it shows you bending the foam and regular foam board just breaks when you try to bend it. На этом стоит 2S 600mA 39 грамм, подбирается по весу, чтоб центр тяжести не уплыл, лучше чуть нос затяжелить, чем наоборот, для 750 мм размаха подойдёт и грамм 50-80.

      @@NumaVIG Вот спасибо за оперативный ответ. Я планирую подобное крыло на 800мм, хочу как раз использовать 800maH (2S) 50гр и до 1100maH (3S) 80 гр, думаю как раз будет. Сначала хотел KESL 32 делать, но Ваше видео по постройке увидел и передумал. Ещё у Вас оклейка скотчем очень аккуратная, отлично. Ранее я делал Jupiter Duck (моя первая модель) полетел сразу, не смотря на то что никогда не летал, но всегда хотел крылышко, так что буду строить, в том числе благодаря Вашему ролику. Спасибо.

      на больший размах нужно лонжерон более жесткий, обычно клеят деревянные линейки, я для 1000 мм на циркулярке напилил 1,5 мм шпон и приклеил его к пенопласту , и две нервюры центроплана тоже неплохо бы усилить на случай падений, на видео с краштестом это хорошо видно, там крыло 600 мм и весом 170 г , 4 мм потолочка в гармошку сложилась довольно быстро :-), на видео подложка 5 мм

    • @greg0063
      @greg0063 5 лет назад

      You can fly a 3d heli?! You almost have this plane thing down. Wings are easy to fly once tuned especially with the center of gravity. The only drawback for a beginner is that they don't return to level by themselves like a proper trainer type plane would. I would suggest trying out a plane on a simulator and learning it. Then get a trainer. But if your like me and want to start with a wing (I did haha) get an EPP wing TekSumo set it up light and start flying, you will crash alot but it should hold up very well. I'm still flying my original after many crashes and repairs and it's still a great flyer. Good luck!

      @@terranovarain2183 it might be possible but unfortunately not probable. That radio has the dip switches under that front panel correct? You might be able to position them so the servos are mixed. This would be a long shot though. You need an elevon mix for a wing to fly properly. A modern computer radio will have it in there as a preset and it is easy to do. It also makes it easy to tune as far as expo and throws.
