"I'm okay with sitting with someone else rage" is such a philosophical concept. A person can use the same energy to express rage as they can love. It took me a long time to accept as a young man. You inspire me. Love you!
I loved when you said this simple thing: "I'm okay with sitting with other people's rage." It is such a validating, compassionate, humanizing concept. My Mom used to speak often about the need to be seen. She was such a champion of the marginalized, the fringe of society. Those are the people (her and you) who will bring comfort, and change to the world. God Bless you, Coco...xoxo
I'm a senior white woman and I hope this period will be a positive experience to teach people to be non judgemental of others. I want everyone to be more progressive and vote out this administration of conmen and thieves.
Ma'am i often stumble across your comments on Coco's videos and they always bring a smile to my face. As long as there are people like you, Coco and everyone protesting right now, humanity is not lost. I hope you, and all of us, continue to find strenght to hope and fight ❤
Magnificent! You shared a very personal and insightful view of what has been going on not only this week but throughout history. The oppressed rise up. In your case you were able to turn that inner rage into that which is positive, true and authentic. I admire you for saying what was on your mind in a thoughtful way in hopes we may sincerely search our hearts and souls to be a better and an empathetic people. This was an incredible 7mins and 45sec that has given me cause to ponder my own feelings on everything you’ve shared. You astound me! 🌈🙏 Stay well. Thank you so much. 😎
I have been enjoying - and been incredibly grateful - for your other Coco Thoughts but this one is so powerful and raw - it moved me deeply. You are a beacon for our collective humanity. Thank you so much for this - it's a lesson that I need to let sink in. Much love to you from Canada!
While this brilliant inspirational talk was forming in your mind and heart, I found that in the latest issue of the New Yorker is the complete James Baldwin essay from 11/17/62, "Letter From A Region In My Mind". What a fantastic mind it was!! It brought me back to when I discoverd Richard Wright and James Baldwin at the same time. And here we still are. Thank you so much for the care you put into offering constructive ways to think, constructive ways to be part of solving this, and acknowledging how we need intelligent leaders, compassion, empathy, the end of dumbing down (yes, I am a teacher). I love you and am grateful for the friend who brought you into my life.
This is the most powerful, honest and revealing message that Coco has shared during her solitude chapter. I encourage everyone to watch it and reflect. I'm new to this channel and have been both enlightened and inspired by it. Sincerely, Louis Nelson | Los Angeles CA.
I was lucky, as a young gay child. My parents willingly let me play with My Little Ponies. I remember I wanted to cut the tail and main off of one of my beloved ponies. I expressed this to my mother, she told me ... “ That’s your decision, but know the hair will Not grow back!” I cut the pony’s hair, and regretted it, to this day! Summary is... Sometimes, we make horrible decisions we regret, and have to live with regret of destroying something. However, you have to learn from that! Knowing some things cannot regrow, after you cut them! Learn from history, or doomed to repeat it! Remember, love is far stronger than hate! I still played with that poor bald pony, after I took her hair! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
You are so lucky to have a family let you evolve into the great person you seem to be today. My family, not so much, but even to this day, I strive to explain and inform them about what they do not understand and that is all I can do! :)
Thank you, Miss Coco (I'll be watching you in Varla's next live streaming show)! 💜 I had to do some errands today (I'm in Chicago's Uptown... a very international nook) and I saw every shade of skin, said, "good morning" to them all... and they were all gracious in return. It's nice to be reminded that amidst chaos there is serenity. 🌱 I do hope the deep wounds in our nation begin to heal (and you're so correct, it won't be easy or fast). Because if *we* do the footwork, we can all live harmoniously. It's the only sustainable way. ☮️ #BlackLivesMatter
This is so powerful. I don't think I've heard anyone articulate and empathize with feelings of rage since Mister Rogers. Thank you for sharing your memories and thoughts, and thank you for being you!! ❤️
I hope you carry on with videos like this when lockdown is over, I’ve been listening to them on my way into work and your voice is so calming before what usually is a stressful day xxx
Thank you Miss Coco, for today's message, very calm but thought provoking, Colin Kaerpernick had the right idea but people didn't really back him up, shame on those who didn't get the message, you Miss Coco are a light during these days, hugs from Orange County, Ca 💞💞💞
You’re such a beautiful person. You talk to us about your fears and struggles and how you have sorted things out for yourself and offer a point of view that perhaps might comfort or even explain how we might better understand ourselves. I sweat it is like therapy. I listen to your thoughts and especially tonight they help me focus for sleep and dreaming of better times - and how we all might get there. Thank You Coco Darling
Thank you, Miss Coco - you remind us we all have rage and we all are uncomfortable - and gave me the wisest response I’ve seen about this current craziness
I am having a very hard time wrapping my mind around what our world is right now so it's so difficult to find right words. All I know is that I am so grateful for constants that are comforting. And that is you, Miss Coco. Thank you so very much ❤️
What you’ve shared today was something that so many people need to hear. Myself included. These tumultuous times seem to be painted as so divisive when there are so many just trying to come together while trying to hold it together. Love you Mama CoCo❤️
Coco you need a few big hugs so know that I have just sent those to you. You are an amazing and gifted person, stay strong and bring that smile and laughter back soon, but don't rush as you are allowed to feel. Miss seeing you but enjoy hearing you. Be well my friend
Lovely Coco, thank you so much for these daily messages. I so admire your openness and honesty. We all have our shadow side. Even though we don't like to acknowledge it, we need to bring our darkness into the light to see it and heal it. I love you and wish you well. See you here tomorrow. 😘
My dear Miss Coco, THANK YOU for your words as always, but especially for recognizing Colin Kaepernick. I have to start by saying that Colin is from the same hometown as I do, in Turlock CA. At the beginning of his career, he was celebrated as the "Hometown Boy" who made good. Sadly, when the world turned on him, and his own President turned on him, several people in his hometown did as well. Just thinking about it makes my blood boil. For all of the talk about how "unpatriotic" his silent protests were, the voice that meant the most to me were from my Dad. I come from a big military family. I don't recall how we got on the subject, but my Dad told me that his own service to this country was to ensure that every person could exercise our freedoms as American citizens, and that peaceful protest and speaking truth to power are exactly what makes Colin Kaepernick a patriot. I will remember that conversation until the day that I die.
bless you miss coco. sitting in the uncomfortable has made me a much better person today than i was 10 years ago. the more you do it, the less uncomfortable you will feel, because you will have the knowledge to empathize with others who don’t have the privilege to go back to their safe bubbles once they’ve had their fill of uncomfortableness.
Thank you!! People want to group all protestors in this huge country as one. People want simple quick answers to a problem that to them is just becoming visable now but was there before it hurt them personally. Thank you for being calm and rational and helping us with your voice. Simple solution leaders are indead very dangerous. We're lucky to have insightful people like you who are also patient enough to try to help others. Love you!
Bless you Coco - thank you for sharing your very important thoughts today! Sometimes it's hard to go through things that we simply just don't understand, or struggle with, but talking about them sure helps!
Dearest Coco, So eloquently expressed with raw, tender, honest emotion & love & understanding for others. Riots are what formed this country & brought about change. Though i do wish there was a peaceful solution, when pushed down, treated less than, held back because of the color of ones skin shade instead of equal opportunities for all, the quiet simmering turn to a slow boil that becomes a rapid boil that then becomes a pot whose lid bangs louder & louder until acknowledged in someway. How incredibly heartbreaking that yet another life was taken by a person wearing a uniform. That monster whose knee squashed out a life, will get whats due. Cant hide behind a badge! Love you Coco! 🌺💖🙏🌼💖🌺
During the Kappernack story I thought his kneeling was a sign of Respect. People kneel in church, in prayer, for engagement, marriage. In times of stress or happiness we say “it brought me to my knees”. We are all humans trying to have our human experience.
Thank you for yet another thought-provoking and emotionally touching presentation. The world needs more thinking along the lines you have shared with us. It takes courage to expose your inner life, but brilliance to make a connection with what we are experiencing today. A simple thank you is just not enough, so I'm sending a big hug and kiss to you Coco. Repeat as needed.
I loved what you have said, unfortunately Coco, we have no leader at this moment ,to guide us and help us to understand. My question is now how do we fix this ? I lived through the sixties and for a while,I thought, it was going to be ok, I want it to be ok again. For my grandchildren 😢
I’m so grateful for your trust, for sharing your stories with us. Listening and sitting with discomfort are selfless ways to love others but also to grow. I love you.
OMG...COCO....You show us ALL, SOOOO MUCH ...EVERY DAY...#WORDSMATTER.. Thank you for your voice. Your vision alone is a giant gift...PLEASE pray we can all love one another...LET HATRED DIE. RIP GEORGE FLOYD...Please let this stop. HATRED stems from the TOP...OUR Country is better than this...VOTE HIM OUT!!!
Thank you, Miss Coco. Silence is violence, and we should all be as honest as you are in these lovely videos. You are truly blessed. Thanks for sharing the harmony of comedy while staying open to the more sensitive memories and issues. Sharing is caring, and I love these "show and tell" (remember those school days?) style videos. Virtual hugs!

You're more awesome than you know.
Your lovely voice is all l need to get me through these tough times . My husband made an art studio for me out of one of the rooms in our house and you just complete it,thank you,Coco!
What a beautiful sentiment my friend. I have been struggling trying to find the right words to explain how this time with Miss Coco has brought me such comfort. Your words describe perfectly how I feel. Thank you so much for sharing. What a great gift to know that we're not alone especially at a time that so many are feeling at their loneliest. Stay safe and be well.
What a beautiful, brave, and wise sharing you have given us Coco. I believe that the cruel murder that we have all been witness to, that was bravely shown to us by a 17 year-old girl who had the strength to stand and film that police murder for 10 minutes, is spreading around the world. It's spreading to every corner of the world as a catalyst for people standing up and declaring their intense need to be free from cruelty and corruption in their police forces and governments. We are living through history.Your beautiful story of self examination and growth is needed at this time, as many of us are having to look at ourselves and how we may have contributed to this climate of hatred and the belief that many of us white people have that it is our right to monitor, control and abuse black and brown people. “I have nothing to show you today.” You showed us everything in your heart ❤️
The world has lost its humanity, Miss Coco. I cry all the time.

Beautiful words of truth. Empathy is sorely lacking in the world today.
That was really good advice. Thank you. Today I'm going to read a book, talk to loved ones, and sit with the uncomfortable.

Hi Coco, this is a lovely video and shared memories. Colin is a modern day hero of mine also. You are also, wise one. XOXO
You showed us more than you ever have!
We see change... with a heavy heart. Thank you for you thoughts.
Thank you for holding our hands as we wade in the uncomfortable, Ms. Coco.
What a beautiful sentiment my friend. I have been struggling trying to find the right words to explain how this time with Miss Coco has brought me such comfort. We are being called going to choose again, and to move towards a more fair, inclusive and loving worls. We have many examples of nations that needed the lies and hatred of fascists and dictators. 45 echoes their lies and hatred. His day MUST be done if this nation is to heal and thrive.
I LOVE YOU, Ma Coco ! YOU ARE AMAZING, AWESOME AND BEAUTIFUL! Thank YOU, for making these sad days Brighter! XoXoXo Dee Dee
