This is the first part of the project Atlantis. Here I design and print a model of the Atlantis - City-ship of the Ancients fro the show Stargate Atlantis. In this part I will showcase the 3D model I have designed.

This man is criminally underrated
😀 😀 thanks
Na tohle jsem čekal. Tohle je prostě věc, kterou musí každý fanoušek mít doma.
looks great! and you know where probably everyone has room? on the ceiling! line the underside with led and hang it upside down on the ceiling and you'd have a really cool light fixture
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Martin - it looks quite phenomenal! I’m happy to hear that you’ve incorporated lighting & cable management, and that each building is separate too. I like that stand you did, I could probably make it work too. You could also mKe the stand so it will allow for the city to rotate, either freely or by placing a motor in there? I’m thinking it would be cool to have a table over it, maybe a mirror underneath to show off all the other angles too. GREAT WORK!!
Amazing work Martin, this looks incredible!
Thank you. Yeah I think i managed that one 😉
This is looking incredible, wow
thank you ;)
A big congratulation for this work accomplished, it is beautiful
Just found your work a few weeks ago. Already printed the Daedalus one and am currently assembling it and now Printing the F-302. Sadly couldnt assemble your Stargate with Iris design, since it did not fit with my Enders Tolerances so I will have to do some post processing.
Looking forward to the rest of your work! Keep it up!
Oh boi, thats what I've been waiting for.
I'm moving this month, then I will have space for this beauty.
Bro, this is 🤪 crazy, I am blown away.
Thanks. Yeah, it is quite big...
More great work Martin
Thank you
Martin: I dont want to print a big Donny
Also Martin: I've printed Atlantis and use it as my family's dining table. 😄
Martin. I must say this model is phenomenal! Your engineering is such that any experienced model builder can figure out how to build it just by having the pieces in hand. Your engineering of this appears to be superb! I viewed it piece by piece on my slicer. And the ability to light the model is certainly a huge bonus! As for the size: spot on-perfect! It will need to be 60cm because of the complexity and detail you worked into it.
One question: You did point out the stand is shorter than the angle at which you put the model will "overhang."
I don't know if it was foresight on your part but the stand is in three pieces minus the legs. This was a smart design/engineering choice however you arrived to it. What I need to know is, in the current file, what is the distance between the bottom of the stand to the bottom of the outstretched pylon? By knowing this, I can stretch the center part on my slicer and used the stand while I'm assembling it and to eventually use it for display.
I hope to be done with this by the beginning of May 2023.
Hello there. Thanks for your kind words. I really appreciate them.
I dont know the distance from the top of my gead but tomorrow i will measure it in the files and let you know ;)
the gap (or overhang) is 22mm so if you extend the stand 22 mm or more in Z, you should be ok
Shoutout to Eryone for the past few weeks of constant gray filament sales.
now i need a bigger printer !!!
I love it... I mean I will most likely never print it... but I simply love it .. well maybe I need to print it... not quite sure now, but... I love it !!!
Thank you. Yeah it is a big boy...
What do you think about either scaling or making a new puddle jumper? It would be cool to have a bunch of drones to be able to come out of the spire and attack a hive or other wraith ship - gonna have to binge SG Atlantis again!
The city is some 60cm in diameter. That would make the jumpers so small, the would be measured in microns....
wow, i was expecting this for some time :)
im mounting a Voron 350mm, pearps i will whait to print a bigger citie
Celkove super. Jen se priznam, trosku mi tam chybi ty vyrazne solarni panely kolem centralniho bloku. Jinak super.
This looks amazing!! I cant wait to print this. any plans to some ships from Babylon 5?
Thank you. No i have never seen a single episode of that show. So no.
Paráda! V jakém měřítku je tento model?
já s měřítkama nepracuju takže nevím. Sorry

@@plukovnikokurka2748 no není vlastně za co :D
that would be cool and print a mini BC303 and put it on the land pad
Do you have an ideia of how much Kg of plastic its needed to print?
Nope, not yet.
Weeeelllpp found the next thing I need to print paint and wire....
No jestli jsi tohle sám modeloval tak to jsi naprostej šílenec! Detailně zpracované.. asi začnu šetřit na 3D tiskárnu a tohle si z bastlím taky :D SG-Atlantis mega miluju :)
Dik. No samoze jsem to modeloval sam. Tisknu jen sce vlastmi modely ;)
@@martintaichl Klobouček! Děláš to srdce to je hlavní a ta trpělivost!
Hezké
Mohu vědět průměr?
Jinak super video jako vždy
Dík. Cca 60cm

How many files ?
Where can I get the STL files for this?

Ahoj. Dá se tento model u tebe objednat, jako zakázka?
Jain.
Momentalně zakázky nepříjmám. Jsem naprosto vytížen vlastním tiskem, ale poptám se ti. 😉
