This is a new version of the BC-304 model. The model is improved in every way and has one very nice feature.
Here in this video, we can see the assemble process and the model showcase.

Awesome. IF I ever get into 3D modelling I wanna make something like this
Hey man, I just wanted to say over the last 3 years I have become a huge fan of SG1 and Atlantis and I'm on my third rewatch of the franchise right now. I just bought my first 3D printer and I cannot wait to print some of your projects and paint them up! Thank you for the work you put into these models and making them available to the fans!

@martintaichl I built your old one and now I am doing the new 304. I see at the end you have a spot to add a stand. Did you ever end up doing one? I have looked online and can't seem to find one out there. Looking forward to seeing one. Huge Fan of your work.

Nice, i still know how i struggled with the MKI Version.
Most of the Parts where extremly tight and difficult to fit.
Is the overall print Time the same as the MKI ?
i dont really know. i have 3 printers now and i really do loose sight over the lenght of the print.

most of the parts do not require any supports at all. I orint it in a way so it is most optimal for the printing.
I printed the small version that went with Atlantis to start, one of the first things I printed on my printer, after the inaugural benchy of course. I just finished printed and most of the assembly of your Puddle Jumper, I only did it at 75% size as I was worried about the amount of filament I had at the time, got a really sweet coloured filament for it: Wizard Green by spectrum it was almost a perfect match for the metallic greenish bronze look the jumpers have. I can't wait to print the full scale B304 as the Daedalus class is perhaps my all time fav spaceship and your model is pretty awesome!
Any tips to help limit warping? I had a bit of a problem with it on the jumper
Warping?? Hmm. Well use brim and also ad little film of glue and it should solve it.
@@martintaichl Ill try that glue thing, does it matter which type of stick glue... I did have a brim, think it was 10mm... I'm still excited to print the 304, gonna be sweet! and look awesome hanging in the corner of my room . Thanks for sharing the files and the video on them

Can you recommend a specific filament / color of filament?
When printing this are you printing with supports at all? Especially around the thrusters and what orientation are you printing the parts in.? Thanyou for your help in advance

Hodně pěkné, jen jestli můžu poradit, tak by občas nebylo špatné pohrát si s orientací top solid infillu u pohledových částí. Jak se to tiskne pod úhlem 45 stupňů tak to na můj vkus zbytečně moc řve, že se jedná o tisk. Třeba u té přední části kdyby byl top infill orientovaný paralelně s délkou lodi, tak by to působilo spíš jen jako fajn textura navíc a ne rušivý element :) Jen je potřeba třeba i poupravit šířku extruze specificky pro tyto pohledové vrstvy aby nevznikla na bocích mezera mezi perimetrem a začátkem výplně. Ale s pár pokus-omyl slicováním to jde vychytat.
I ironed all top surfaces on my attempt. It's not perfect as sometimes it leaves rougher looking patches, but it does remove the overall effect of the top layer's pattern. And imo adds a bit of a weathered look to the ship. Makes it feel like she's seen a few battles. Just about to go assemble it now as all the parts are finally printed out. So excited.
If I wanted to scale this down. Is there a limit you would recommend? Fo example would it still work at 50% reduced scale
I am not sure. Certainly the F302s would not and you would definately loose the antennas. Also i think the hangar bay doors would be too small.

Can you specify the longest dimensions of the biggest parts (in mm preferably) so I can make sure I don't send it off to someone whose equipment will be too small?
The longest is almost 25cm
@@martintaichl Beautiful, thanks. Had some spare cash so I just went and bought a 3D printer. It's got a 30cm cubed bed, so should be sufficient.

And the others you mentioned, i am not really interested in those. Maybe the spider ship, but that is just a big maybe...
Are you interested in other franchises. Would you consider doing something like the mass effect ships or halo ships ?
Mass effect maybe (normandy and tempest for sure as i love those ships) but halo not at all i have never played the games and have zero attachment to the IP. Right now i am working on another Expanse ship though.
