    • @5226-p1e
      @5226-p1e Год назад

Something just occurred to me after watching this, something I didn't exactly realize while watching the show.
So when you were talking about in the video the puddle jumper that Janice created for the Milky way, I always thought that he chose that route for his experiments in the original timeline, but then I remembered there was an episode of Atlantis where the first expedition that went there mostly died and it was only Dr Weir that was sent back in time in Janice's lab and that's when he first heard about their story, it does make me wonder that because of his experiment with the Time travel stuff, that he took his learned experience from Dr Weir and her journey while protecting Atlantis, him and his other Atlantean family left Atlantis in her hands, but the reason why the other puddle jumper existed in the Milky way, was because he continued his experiments because of what he learned through Dr Weir with his experiment.
What I'm trying to say here is I believe that the only reason why the puddle jumper in the Milky Way existed, was because of his experience of using the jumper on Atlantis.
I used to believe that he just chose that because he was a very intelligent person within the Latin Society, and that was just one of the routes he went automatically, but now I'm thinking that it was further inspired by his experiment through Dr Weir.
Meaning he left that Time Jumper in the Milky Way galaxy on purpose for us to find, because he knew that within the next 10,000 years us humans would discover it, of course he must have traveled through time himself, and it makes you wonder if he's still out there within time, it makes you wonder if he's still alive, he was probably the most intelligent Latin out of the mall, he was always working on some kind of experiment that he hid from others within his group of scientists, because of course he knew that they would never approve, but because he was so intelligent, he knew how to hide these things from them.
The other thing is it's possible that he also ascended to the higher plane of existence, but I assume he saw the future and how the events unfolded, perhaps he left other things for us lowly humans of Earth to find so that we would have greater success, basically intervention without making it look like he was doing any kind of intervention.
Because think about it, there was another timeline entirely that existed when that first doctor weird went through, that suggests there were a lot of other little things for Janice to pay attention to, and perhaps even see the future himself, as far as I understand it, the ascended beings don't have the capability to no the future, they do have the capability to understand the probabilities of the future, which is why Daniel thought that there was no hope for Jack when he was in balls prison, but then because he was paying attention to what was going on on Earth, he was positive of that information that Sam and tilk would figure it out and break him out of that prison without the need of any divine intervention on his part when he was ascended.
Being an ascended being seems like your experience within the ascended Realm is limited, of course it's limited in the human form as well, but there was a lot more free agency within a human body then there would have been within the ascended realm because they interfere so bloody often even though the claim not to.
Anyway just some stuff to think about.

They could technically build puddle jumper like ships , go steal a bunch of gao'uld tel'tak transport ships , and break the ships down, and make puddle jumper size ships, and use the tel'taks naquadah generator, cloaking, shields, inertia dampenersand metal hull to make new jumpers , idk if we can put a interface to fire drones or not , but you could put railguns or chain guns on them with missiles with naquadah enhanced explosives in the missiles, to still be very effective in combat especially the wraith ships , and can mass produce these if they could, and Atlantis will have more puddle jumper like ships to use and more air support etc

You know what I really expect from the Tauri if a new series come out?
A Stargate capable F-302 *AND* a small transport variant, Puddle jumpers proved they're invaluable, and the Tauri must get this technology.
The F-302 would not be a huge problem, as they already have retractable wings, they just need one of those anti-gravity devices so they can travel through safely until the wings are deployed, but I'd love to see the Tauri vision of a stealth transport.

yeah i agree that makes no sense. i was thinking of an weapon that used hyperspace as a way to bypass shields and then re-enter into another hyperspace window at close proximity to the other ship, effectively tearing that other ship apart into scraps because the hyperspace window would be far to small for the other ship to be pulled in and the other ship wouldn't be ready since it's shields only extended outside the ship.
this wouldn't work for destiny though, because destiny's shields are almost skin tight to the ship when they are on. but it would work for Ori ships as well as goa'uld hattok's and wraith war ships.
however it does make one wonder if they could make them even smaller like microscopic smaller. i always wondered why the replicators never tried this idea, because they would have been the most capable in creating an weapon like this because they are pretty much AI robots and could probably figure out the right programming for such a thing.
funny enough, it's not really even a weapon so much as it's meant for hyperspace travel.

Oh man, it's been so long since I've viewed this topic, I honestly don't remember the context of why I said what I said, you probably could add a zpm to a puddle jumper, but I'm not sure how that would work out, it might fry the circuits on that ship as it was meant for a much larger ship however granted let's say that it could handle it, it would actually probably do a better job and handling anything thrown at it, cuz it could preserve thatpower far better than the city ship as it such a small vessel, although I'm not really sure if power is the Apollo jumpers main problem, I don't know if the shields become stronger on the puddle jumper if they have more power or if they will respond the same way regardless what the power source is.
Edit: well, I went back and read my comment and re-watch the video, and I still don't remember what my reason was for that first half of my response.
But I did gain some more information off of the video then I was able to hypothesize something else unrelated to your comment, but I just thought it was cool that I found more information that I could apply to the lore of this great series to further expand on one of the stories that wasn't immediately realized while watching the show until now.

Why wouldn't they arrive and depart outside, some sort of landing platform, or a dedicated launch bay? It would need a Stargate, though. It was designed and built long before Ancients had any opposition. It was not meant to be in a middle of a warzone. Ancients were not warriors. And when there were Ancients still around there was probable something wormhole schedule for gate so you can´t just randomly decide to go somewhere walk up to DHD and dial. And if you use stargate you are already at destination so you don´t use jumpers going from one city to another. If you are not in destination there is probably transporter close. And if that is not the case then you might be getting a jumper. Gate was probably more of a crosswalk than highway.

Its aerodynamics are impossible for this kind of speed. It would drag the jumper down in Earth atmosphere like crazy. It has to be pointy at least on 2 opposite sides. Air planes have a pointy nose for a very good reason. Not good design. Someone who built the stargate wouldn't make such a dumb mistake. It doesn't matter if the ship has 50000 hp or more.

Well, since it's a sci-fi ship, the antigravity technology kinda takes traditional aerodynamics out of the equation.

@@GateWorldDotNet It's not about the drive. There's always faster. Why would one make the ship less efficient if they can make it faster and more stable in flight in the atmosphere just by making the front of the ship pointy!? Wasn't it the point to make it look realistic!? As a scientist I see things differently. If something looks cool but doesn't work is not interesting to me at all. In this matter I prefer a design that works. The gate ship doesn't😂 I don't like the name jumper either just like McKay.

Disappointed you didn't mention that you can't cloak and go through the stargate

      When did this come up?

Pretty sure that's never stated in the show.
For entertainment purposes we always watch the ship cloak and uncloak, but if you think about it, they must be able to otherwise how did they bring three jumpers to the Genii homeworld but the Genii were unaware of two of them being there?

Would a toilet on a puddle jumper be called the “puddle dumper”?
