- On a rainy day in Tokyo I hopped on the train headed west to the neighborhood of Akishima to hunt for games in yet another large, well stocked Hard Off!

Wished you'd cover the toy section too, but that'll probably need a separate video.
And I would’ve loved to see that instrument store (looks like just the kind of place that would have gems...) but I suppose that’s another channel altogether 🙂
I can produce some more figure videos at some point. I've done a couple and they were pretty popular.
@@MadPanicGaming do these hard off stores have any Nintendo toys ? Mario ?
This Hard Off is way bigger than the ones I have around me here in Nagoya. Gotta get to Tokyo!
It's nice to see a lot of greenery in Tokyo. Sometime the city blends together but seeing it with a coat of mother nature is a fun change.
Yeah, I love Tokyo, but sometimes I need a break from all the concrete and neon.
These retro game hunts are always so chill and cathartic. Have you ever considered putting the music credits in the video descriptions?
You're doing well, because you are consistent, pretty candid and you don't put up much of a front. That won't result in those crazy click-bait subscribers, but you'll fill out a nice niche and who knows, sky's the limit. Keep it up dawg.
It’s beautiful so beautiful so many games so little money I have
6:50 RIP Jim. You will be missed.
Hey Jim. Thanks for showing us another Hard-Off in Tokyo. Love the music in your videos as well.
I'm sure these take a ton of time to edit but I really like the final product. Much appreciated.
My pleasure. Thanks for watching!
I love famicom carts, I'd like to collect them just for the colours and artwork on them
These videos always makes me miss Japan. Hope I can go again 1 day.
I first watched one of your videos after getting back from a holiday in Tokyo in 2019 just to relive some of the magic of Akihabara. Anyway it’s been a year now and now I’ve seen so many of them I often find myself agreeing with you on prices, sitting at home in Wales going “god that’s way too much for Mother 2 loose”
What a quaint suburb of Tokyo and great store as pure usual
Always in the mood to see Jim's Gaming hunting endeavors. Worthwhile for sure. 8^)
Anthony..
19:24 Kamen Rider: Battride War Genesis for the PS4 which is also available for the PS3 and Vita. If you are a fan of Kamen Rider, you will definitely like it because it has all of the Showa era Kamen Riders.
I like the game hunting videos. Very chill.
Nice one. Always nice to see you come out with some goodies.
Always like seeing these, so interesting to see the layout and the way everything is organized.
I went to Japan Akihabara HardOff (dec 2019) And it didn't had 1/10 of those... I wish I could knew that HardOff sooner so I could pay a visit. Keep sending us those recomendations! I´ll keep track and see if i can visit the next time I go to Japan!
Loved the vids and seeing you go to remote areas of Tokyo! Keep them coming! I’m taking notes for the next trip to Japan of where to game hunt. Could you visit the gundam sections when you head to hard off or book off as well?
I know you don't do handhelds but I'd love to see the handheld consoles in more detail. Not gonna bitch about it since it's your channel but you're the only guy making good shop tours. Glad your channel is growing, bud. You deserve it.
I absolutely love Hard Off definitely going to visit one next time I'm in Japan ☺ ♥ 🇯🇵
I love your videos keep up the great work and I also love that japan streets are so clean compared to the states
loving your gaming hunting videos always looking forward to your game hunting videos and always think there great to watch keep up the good work and cant wait for the next video as always thanks.
Some nice finds. If at all Possible I'd like to see you do a review of Wonder Project J2 for the N64. It's not a shoot'em up, bullet hell, racing, or even action adventure, but it's a point and click game for the most part.
I've played the first one, pretty interesting game, still never got around to the second one though.
I will say magical tetris is legit! especially if you love arika's 'the grand master' series it basically plays just like that. also wish I had the money for that beatmania controller! these videos are always packed with so much cool stuff!!
Pretty surprised the store owners don't tell you to turn off your camera/phone. Happens quite a bit to me when I go to visit my wife's family in Tokyo and Kochi.
Thank you for panning the camera and not speeding through the store! I miss going to Hardoff in the Kawasaki area... It was my favorite store.
I'm surprised you don't play portables, tons of exclusives.
When you said you’d bought ‘Double ring’ I thought you’d done some off camera rummaging in the adult dvd section.
That stuff is reserved for my channel on PornHub.
All that retro goodness! I need it all!
Johnny (Happy Console Gamer) sent me your way on one of his vids and it wasn't the first time he's directed people to your channel. I'm going to guess that may play a role in your subscriber count shooting up as of late! I'm loving your videos btw!
These videos always bring joy. You're hunting for yourself & others while getting double ads on RUclips. Score. I'll finish watching in hopes that you find one for me too. Thanks for another hunt video.
"Rastan Saga II. I liked the first Rastan Saga..." Prepare to be disappointed.
Ha ha, yeah, I actually laughed while playing it, I enjoyed it in a morbid way.
Hell yeah Jim!! Can't wait to browse around Hard-Offs once again in a few weeks!!
loved to see some countryside for a change
Love your videos. Like seeing everything you show in Japan.
Would love to see some retro computer games and systems.
I know prices have gone up. But I need to get there and check these stores out. Still cheaper than what you pay on Ebay Australia. It seems even Japanese sellers are asking more then these stores
Weird green sleeve on that Garou Densetsu Special, haven't seen that before
Thanks for the Hard Off as usual!
Nice hunting.
Splashings of cartridge goodness, that W ring is a good pick up super expensive here in UK if it ever comes up for sale. Motoroader is ace theres a CD version too motoroader mc.
Day Off ... Hard Off... Good Day... :-)
Loved this video mr handsome=) Cant wait to see what 2020 brings you=) @KidShoryuken
Saturn and Dreamcast are my favourite two consoles. It’s a shame that there isn’t much in most shops :(
Maybe the AV cables for PSP (2000+) would help you get into handheld gaming. Lots of great games on PSP not available anywhere else.
Love your videos, retro hunting, if possible digging through Junk sections :)
cool video and Nice pick ups i need to go down to that hard-off at some point.
Love these videos, man
Jaywalking? Some role model you are! I think you got a good price on Moto Roader II, wonder how much the Duo R in the glass case cost. Speaking of glass case, Captain Tsubasa III is a display item?! I mean it´s a cool series and all but...
Surprised how few people I see walking around outside there being Tokyo and all. They don't like the rain much?
I certainly wish I could get a Playstation 2 Slim in decent condition for ~$20 since my old PS2 Slim has problems playing some of the more graphically intense games, especially racing games, due to disk reading/streaming issues.
Those Famicom/Super Famicom game prices are far below what Canadian used game stores and thrift stores charge for the western releases of the very same NES/SNES games (where applicable, obviously there are a slew of Japanese FC/SFC games that never got a North American release).
gotta head outta the city for those deals!
I ve been to a hobby off once (in Ueno). so much figures related stuff in there. Please show a little bit of the figures next time too
I really like that ending animation, what is it?
I'm actually not sure about that one. It came with a whole bunch of little clips I downloaded.
Do a game hunting video where you stop at the conveni afterwards grab some beers and play the games you buy on camera! Just an idea
Great vid. How would we get you to look out for something while you're out there? I'm not on Facebook btw. Looking for a really nice complete psp 1000 in white and maybe some games. Keep up the great work.
You can also contact me on Instagram, Twitter and Gmail. all of the are kidshoryuken.
Great video Jim have you come across any big box PC games in these Hard Off stores lately?
Next manga shop bro 👍🏿
i played that spriggan lunar verse game on PS1 and sadly it sucks balls lol but atleats it was cheap but hopefully you can find some enjoyment out of it
Nice
Are you rocking a Pantera hat in this vid bro?
Can u pls share the parappa add at : 7:23

Thx buddy 👍👍👍👍
10:43 Hey, Shin Megami Tensei: If! I don't think I've seen that in one of these video before.
I'm curious: has anyone ever come across either of the Sword World games for the Super Famicom? I only really know about them for their connection to the Tabletalk RPG of the same name (and, by extension, Lodoss) but I was wondering if they were any good.
Pretty sure I've run across them but never actually played them.
Don't they have many different collored gameboy and GBA cartridges?
Hey Jim, what's the name of bgm on 7:41 ?
How about showing used TV's that are sold to play retro games?
I'm currently looking for a Neo Geo CDZ and that seems like a much better price than what I'm finding online. Is that the going rate in Japan or was that one particularly cheap?
uh oh. jims buying $50+ games. life is good!
what camera do you use just asking, I use a Canon camera and its small and it uses an SD card, do you use a hands free camera 📷, am CyberGod and I subscribed to your channel 😀...
Canon G5X is being used here. I also occasionally use a Sony HD Handycam, and my phone on rare occasions, a Galaxy S9 edge.
cool 😎, I like the galaxy s9, I have a s4 tablet and a s7 smartphone...
What is the address for this place? Trying to find it on google maps has been a nightmare lol
Might be a dumb question but do some people in Tokyo have Amercian cars? Is that even a thing? Thanks.
I know it's weird... But the Lowrider subculture has a niche following in Japan. I believe the New York Times has a vid about it. I even remember reading about car shows in Tokyo in my dad's "Lowrider" magazine in the late 90's as a kid. They even dress like so-cal cholos lol
Snatcher please
What was the music @04:14?
7:40
Is the Neo-Geo CD a good system? I always heard that the loading times were terrible and the systems failed sometimes?
yes the neo-Geo CD is a great system and the load times can be a pain but you would need to get a CDZ it cuts the load times in half i have one and its a great system and less hassle on load time i would say pick one up if you get the opportunity
@@tonyhayden9453 Yeah thats what I have heard. Thanks for the feedback.
What music is that at the 7:39 mark?
It's one of the stage themes from Cyberbots, the space colony I think.
@@MadPanicGaming thanks man! Actually added that & Asuka 120% to my list just from hearing the music in your videos at this point
Name’s music please
how much for a white ps3 fat that can play ps1 & ps2
Can you just live in Japan forever and never stop making videos? That's all I'm asking. Awesome stuff as usual.
