Hi Lisa, I've been following you since you're begining on RUclips. I'm one of those who never comments but I'm always here! You peaked my interest with your first video on Carnivore and it got me researching and looking and I realised this is the right path for myself too back in January. Since then I've lost 6% body fat, found out I was insulin resistant and it's getting better and my cycles are so much better and pain free! I've got fibroids which I'm convinced I can shrink eating this way. Cross your fingers for me, I'll be getting my updated ultrasound next month! 🙈
Thank you for being brave enough to share your way of eating with us, u do have a platform and you are making a difference 🙏🏼 xoxo Natalie

@@jillf24 Hope its ok to chime in. I have been studying diet health for a few years. As we eat insulin spiking foods for a period of time it changes the fat cells and makes them hold on to fat even when we consume fewer calories. That is insulin resistance. Even people with "normal" insulin numbers can be IR. What makes our fat change are processed carbs, all breads, cereals, grains, sugar and something few realize is vegetable oils. Those include canola, soybean (hidden in many foods), vegetable oil etc. These oils are high in Linoleic acid and most likely cause IR. Compared to even 50 yrs ago the US consumes 136% more Linoleic acid. It is a lie drs and mostly companies selling veg oil that it is heart healthy, Americans have more chronic disease than ever. Chicken and pork eat soy and grain and are high in linoleic acid. Beef and lamb less problem because they have multiple stomaches to digest food, especially grass fed. They eat grass (no linoleic acid) and not soy and corn (high linoleic acid) To learn more read Ben Bickman's book "Why We Get Sick", teaches everything about IR, he's a PHD who studies IR. Also The Fundamental Health podcast by Dr. Paul Saladino is excellent explains all kinds of studies, and he wrote a book called the Carnivore code. (you don't only have to eat meat and can see what works for you). In the end I have never been healthier, leaner, great lab numbers at 58, including an HDL of 88 than when I started eating grass fed meats, eggs, sardines, salmon, squash, some pressure cooked sweet potato, blue berries, dark cherries, fermented yogurt, kefer and saturated fat like butter, heavy cream, coconut oil and grass fed beef tallow. I never feel hungry or crave carbs, Good luck there is lots of good information out there if you know where to look.

My cholesterol is always high, but my triglycerides are so very low and my good cholesterol (HDL) is extremely high...HDL is what protects your heart..and the LDL is fine as well, but the overall number is over 200...Thomas Delaurer talks about the “fractioned” cholesterol numbers which most doctors will not do. Hi Lisa, just wanted to tell u that when I first watched u talking about your problem & symptoms, I cld really relate bcuz I have fibromyalgia & am virtually bed ridden & very very overweight. I had ibs on top too. So when I heard u talking about your success it resonated with me & a light went on & I started looking & following all the doctors on RUclips & was amazed & started following them & their recommendations. Well since then I've lost 15 kg & that's without exercise. I'm feeling alot better too & the 1st time in years I'm feeling positive.
I have 2 meals a day & eat between 12 & 6, & most days I'm never hungry & have to make myself eat. Also every now & then if I eat something extra even if it's a herb, an hour later I have a feeling like a big heavy lump in my tummy & bloating & uncomfortable, once, I even had to take tummy med.
So I just wanted to let u know the success I've been having & I'll be sticking with it & I'm so happy. So thanx Lisa & don't underestimate what u do when u talk about this stuff bcos we do respond. Big hug 🙏🌷

I'm so glad this diet has worked for you! Watching this video and another one where you talked about your symptoms, I immediately thought if my boyfriend. He's has ibs and had the same hard bloated stomach symptoms. They got really bad one night so he went to the hospital. It turns out that he has scar tissue on his intestine from a past issue and that was causing a blockage and he was extremely backed up. They don't want to remove the scar tissue since he's only 26 and that would just start a cycle of growing backing scar tissue from the removal and having it removed for the rest of his life. Instead the diet you're doing is basically what he was recommended. Basically nothing with fiber. It has worked for him so far.

@@katemiller7874 Hi Kate, sorry for my late reply. I just saw your message now. Honestly, i learned that I do better eating a plant based diet because my husband eats paleo and I felt terrible eating that way. My parents are both Italian and growing up, we ate very little meat. And when we did eat meat, it was small portions and mostly fish. Not quite a year ago, my husband took a job where he travels out of our town to work so I had the opportunity to cook the foods I felt were healthiest for me and I slowly started to lose weight. Now I eat plant based even when he’s home. I do eat eggs and fish but mostly fruits, vegetables, (everything, even potatoes) seeds, and yes, even bread! As long as I don’t eat it often, I’m okay. I’m happy with what I eat and I feel better! Hope this helps. Good luck. 😊

I am also happy when you post more videos, I am trying to loose a few extra pounds put on by Covid I guess, well I know I did it, but having to stay inside so much I feel like made me do it. But anyway I feel like you are my motivation. And when I watch your videos it kinda keeps me on track, like come on Tina if I can do it you can too!!! Great video!!🥰❤️

I'm so glad you are feeling better. I, too, have experienced So many gastro issues as I have gotten older - I'm 49 - and it's not pleasant not being able to eat Anything! I can't eat avocados because they cause me severe stomach pain. I read that it's due to some histamines that they release and the body may react negatively to them. I never even knew that was possible! So, I just don't eat the things that make my stomach hurt...like wheat, sugar or a lot of processed sweets - like Little Debbie snack cakes, chocolate chip cookies, etc. I try to eat Keto and that seems to keep stomach pain at bay, most of the time. We are all different and just need to weed out what we notice makes us feel bad. There is no shame in eating only a few foods - especially if you know you will feel good afterwards! Take care!

It is always a wonderful feeling getting a good doctor's report. My downfall is chips - the saltier and greasier the better. I can go for quite awhile without eating them, then all of a sudden the urge is too great to ignore. I am enjoying your combo videos - health stuff, purchases, new house, pets. Love it. By the way, I bought the Nude Sandals lip liner and OMG it is gorgeous. I went back on to get myself another one (just in case). Also bought the Sun Diego and Plum Springs. What beautfiul glosses. I am recuperating from back surgery so I can sit here and play with makeup and shop (way too much). Thanks for sharing with us.

His.CT shows severe coronary heart disease. His cardiologist told me sometimes the HDL isn’t working even though it’s a good number. He said someday the tests will be able to determine if the HDL is working. Genetics play such a big role in our health. Great you have figured out what works for you. You look great.

Lisa, you are so lucky to have your new, young doctor who understands how to read cholesterol lab results. In the future, if you ever have a doctor who worries about your cholesterol, levels, ask to have a calcium heart scan. I am assuming your score would be low, and that should help the doctor and John to understand that you are not in danger. John would benefit from getting one as well, even if his cholesterol levels are fine. Happy for you, and happy you are feeling so much better! ❤️

Wow amazing story. I have suffered from veggies too, and worked on my diet for over 5 years and still tweaking for optimal health. Also another culprit is the vegetable oil in lots of food like most salad dressings. Canola, soybean, (even health plant oils in nuts) are inflammatory. When I gave up vegetable oils including olive oil and avocado oil and opted for the "vilified" beef tallow, butter, coconut oil I lost 5lbs of fat in 4 weeks even though I thought my weight was ok, and I wasn't dieting just changed to those oils. Also HRT changed my life. Read "Why We Get Sick" explains why are bodies hold on to fat and gives great eating advice. :)
