My son has pulmonary hypertension diagnosed at 4 months. His doctors told us do not look up anything or try to research his condition yourselves. So my wife and I have read everything we can find about his condition, medications, and doctors and we have avoided a lung transplant that they told us was inevitable and gotten off of all but one medication and he’s turning 5 next week, is starting kindergarten, and lives a relatively normal, active, extremely happy life. Never listen to ANYONE who tells you to stop asking questions and avoid researching your condition. They’re trying to sell something that you probably don’t need.
Whatever FDA says I try to avoid it. I found myself in this rabbit hole of so many industry lies when I read "The 23 Former Doctor Truths". Its no wonder why Doctor left her career.
I finished that book 2 weeks ago and I can say that is amazing book. Would also recommend it. She helped me with so many of new health routines and it was actually interesting to read what she revealed about Industry and how they manipulate society.
We are all glad that you found Dr Berry and other leaders who think outside of the box!! Your son is a testimony of life! Let's all win the race set before us!!
I am 80 years old living a Keto live style. My health is constantly improving! I am off all diabetes medicines including 70 units of insulin. My fibromyalgia pain is greatly reduced as is my arthritic pain. My capibility to reason and think clearly is greatly improved. My gastric problems are resolved. My doctor is thrilled.
I’m 81 years old and I’m watching from Hawaii. I was diagnosed with type two diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure and am taking medication for all of it and want to stop. I had done keto and my cholesterol went up and my doc put me right back on cholesterol medication.. I’ve been watching you now for quite a while and am going to start again. Thank you
Just a suggestion, please find out which cholesterol went up, there is good and bad cholesterol I think. There is a lot of misconception about cholesterol. Please research deeper.
@@dgarza-jw9fgEven the BAD cholesterol is split between the good and the bad. The ACTUAL reading to look at is TRYGLICERIDES....THAT should be low. Dr Berry has a few videos in this...
Find bottle of Nattokinase, take 2 or 3 capsules TWICE a day, check your Blood Pressure, See numbers next blood draw. Take magnesium citrate also, 2 hours before sleep - relaxes arteries, good for every cell in body Minimal fruits, less to no sugar, no breads/flour
my husband recently found out he needs triple bypass surgery. He is a type II insulin dependent diabetic and seldom compliant. His surgeon explained how to get his glucose levels down and how high carbs contribute to inflammation which helped him have poor heath. Became apparent he was talking about KETO. which he confirmed. my hubby took it seriously and his blood sugars have been fantastic. He's even reduced his long acting insulin from a Total of 100 units To 40 units per day. His daily carb cravings are To his amazement totally gone! That Dr has had an overwhelming impact on my husbands health. What a Blessing!!!
I personally know Dr. Ovadia from surgical training. Great guy and excellent physician. He has always sought the answer to complex issues in healthcare and continues to be a compassionate human being.
🍃😊 Hello, I'm listening in from Queensland Australia. The time is 3:20 pm. The weather is overcast. It's a nice lazy Saturday afternoon. I'm a 64 year old female. Greg, my husband of 40 years, passed away in 2020 from cancer 😢 I very much enjoy and appreciate all I'm learning on RUclips from all the wonderful doctors who really care. "Thank You" for the time you give to help so many people. 🍃🌼🍃
So sorry for you're loss you must be saddened but were also blessed ,to have found each other that s fabulose life with a partner you love hope you have family and grandchildren to pass thar love on or special people,,you can pass it on to hugs sent from GB
I am with you. As a widow, and in need of ridding myself of 75pds. Working on a Keto style diet. Lots of fresh veggies and fruits. A little chicken, salmon, beans, are my add on foods. Keto style meals are great!
I’ve been keto since Feb 2022. Lost 30lbs. At the end of April I started getting dizzy. Went to ER one day because of it.. endless Lab work looks fine. Finally made it to a cardiologist and this week they just came to the conclusion they are dialing back my blood pressure medication and totally taking me off the diuretic, hydrochlorothiazide.
Good to hear your prescriptions have been adjusted. I also lost weight and had to drop two diuretics. My heart medicine was also changed and the dose halved. Find a doctor who listens to you and isn’t stuck in the dark ages. Keep up the good work.
What a profound statement, "I'm way too busy as a heart surgeon (infers rampant heart disease), and I would much rather people stay off my operating table." You are a physician in the truest sense of the word. Bless you, Sir!! 💖
I am a type 2 diabetic 19 years in on metformin, glipizide losartan potassium and tamlosin, 80 years old. Lost weight through fasting now looking forward to lower carb consumption and
There’s a great little book on natural healing written by an older man who cured himself of a number of maladies without medical intervention, called My Physician, Myself. I read it a couple of years ago but lost my copy. I’m going to Amazon right now to order one and be more careful with it. It’s more than worth the read. You might look into the work of Luigi Cornaro, a Venetian nobleman who lived to be 102.
It is comforting to hear a doctor trying to keep patients away while the inhuman pharma companies try otherwise. Need more like him to save humanity. Thank you, Dr. Berry.
Took charge of my health after tripple AAA operation. fifteen years ago. Off of all medications, on an all meat diet and lifting weights for 1.5 hours each workout done three times each week. I am now 80 years of age and feeling great.
You are an encouragement! Had quad coronary bipass in November. Striving for healthy, long life. On so many meds! The docs are all old school. Hoping Keto life style and results will convict them. May get second opinions.
@@kihntagious Three meals each day and for breakfast I have 6 raw eggs & 1/2 pound of ground beef. for my lunch I also have the same. For supper I will mix it up a little and have either chicken, pork or steak depending on my wants. will also have a vegetable with supper meal.
Live in American Samoa, very obese population rampant with heart and diabetes issues. Not one physician has advised my husband, post heart attack, type 2 diabetic, with what I am learning from this channel…thank you so much…we are now making lifestyle and medication changes. No more statins…
Some doctors agree with it, while some don't. My doctor eats this way (and he has a nice body!) and promotes it. Keep in mind that a patient healed is a patient lost. Maybe some doctors truly don't believe it works while maybe some realize they'd have a reduction in income if they educated people on the keto diet.
If you want further advice on how to do keto more effectively check out Dr Berg. Goes through how to approach the diet best and even has a seperate channel dedicated to keto friendly recipes, like keto bread and pizza.
Florida and started having seizures since age 15. Along with my meds, I have followed the keto diet since 1980 and love it! It is also combined with fermented foods. I have an episode every six years , my dosage hasn't increased since 1975, and my weight has been stable ll my life. I am super healthy!
It should be easy and normal to admit that you are wrong. It is part of the learning and maturation process. Sadly we are surrounded by immature, arrogant people who won’t. Always refreshing to see normal adult behavior.
I do that everyday as I encounter my past patients that I gave God awful dietary advise before. Now shifting everyone to keto and ketovore ways of eating. Now I have better results including a growing number of patients that are off OHA meds some even after 15-20 years of taking them. Not only T2DM but also hypertensives, arthritic, NAFLD and psoriatic patients. But I am swimming against the current, my country, the philippines, is hopelessly addicted to carbs.
It does, one of my own GP's does a lot of low carb advocacy here in the UK and is now happy to admit he was giving terrible information to especially diabetic patients. His turning point was becoming T2D himself and realising the advice he was giving his patients for years really didn't work when it didn't work for him.
My husband and I have been on a Keto Lifestyle for nearly two years now. I have lost 98 pounds and my husband has lost nearly 75 pounds. We used to be pre-diabetic and had bad cholesterol. But no longer. Our cholesterol is normal now and we are no longer pre-diabetic. Praise the Lord! I also used to be so badly inflamed in my body. That has been healed too. My knees usually don’t hurt anymore either even though I have no cartilage in either one of my knees. Every now and then my right knee will hurt. But that is usually when I have been on my feet most of the day. I am so thankful we were directed to Keto. We do not eat processed foods anymore. We look at all the labels on the food before we buy it. If it has bad oils in it or sugars we avoid buying those. We are still keeping our carbs low. I have 30 more pounds to lose. My husband wants to lose another 30 pounds too.
Refreshing and truthful, both these doctors are a breath of fresh air. And what a wonderful book this surgeon has written.! We have all been brought up with the wrong ideas about health and the NHS didn't tell us ! ( UK )
It's not just their income, many doctors get big financial perks from the Big Pharmas for pushing these drugs. When I asked what it actually does he was stymied. He didn't know only what they are "suppose" to do according to Bug Pharma who to me are nothing more than drug pushers.
I have never had high cholesterol, high triglycerides, or high blood pressure yet I still blocked . was on 80 MG of atorvastatin. Felt so bad . Have since stopped taken it and gone on a low carb no sugar diet and in a short period of time am feeling better then I did in 10 yrs. I'm 74 years old. Thank to great doctors like you.
I had to go see my cardiologist last Wednesday. I asked about the cardiac diet. He said no, do the keto. I was shocked. I've been on keto since Thursday
After month or so on Keto .....try carnivore Beef eggs bacon ... Keto on steroids!!! Will be 1 year for me July 6th 2022 do 57# and thats not the best of it ... 71 year old male!!
Dr Berry has a Keto playlist and I think it’ll answer your questions & concerns. @2krazyketos Joe & Rachel are awesome in the keto lifestyle. They’re friendly, approachable and will answer your concerns.
Thank you again Dr Berry. I had my annual visit to my physician recently. In the past year I have done a mainly Keto diet, with intermittent fasting, lost 150lbs. My BP was 110/71. My blood work showed A1C of 5.3, triglycerides of 75, normal kidney function, normal liver enzymes, and everything normal except a total cholesterol of 310. My visit devolved into a 30 minute lecture on my need for a statin, which I resisted because I was still actively losing weight, which will elevate my LDL. I asked him about the reparative mechanism of LDL and all of the damage my previous SAD must have done. He did not want to hear it. I am looking for a new Keto friendly doctor today.
Several years ago my wife was put on statins for her cholesterol. A few weeks later she developed a problem with her one eye, her vision started fading and she could not see a full view like her eye was only half-open which it wasn't. Just prior to this she had a complete eye exam and everything was fine. She went back to the eye doctor and he said she would never regain normal vision. We asked what could have caused it and he did not know, he said it was like something traumatic had happened. After a couple of days of thinking it through it dawned on us that this condition started shortly after starting the statin drug. She asked her doctor and was told there was no causal effect from the statin. We looked it up on the internet and there were tons of stories just like my wife's regarding statins causing vision problems especially in women. She immediately stopped taking the statin drug and eventually her vision went back to normal. Virtually no doctors that my wife and I have ever gone to factor in diet. It's all about drugs. From all these testimonials, it sounds like Keto is the way to go. Happy for you, your blood pressure is fantastic!
Thank you Berry/Ovadia for talking about the "morality judgements" that are often made about patients. As someone who has suffered from body dysmorphia & food addiction/binge eating for decades (didn't realize what it was until recently) I can't tell you the # of times I see comments like "put the 🍴/🍩/🍕 down...just step away from table" or the pity glances from thin people or people who obsess at the gym. Conversations like this give me hope. Please continue to work on the older Drs beliefs. The transition from finding a gluten allergy to Paleo to Keto to Ketovore/Carnivore has made all the difference in my 15 yr journey.
Wonderful to meet a doctor not stuck in 1958 with Ancel Keys. Blessings to you both. I am 82, have no doctor, never get sick. I'm on a high fat diet, maintain the same weight feel well all the time, have no pain.
With all due respect, how would you respond that Ancel Keys lived a wonderful life almost to 100 and Dr Campbell and Esselstyn as well. They've done the polar opposite of Dr Berry and Ovadia here
@@joepesci6498 It still remains that Keys did a fraudulent study, removing any patients from the study that did not reflect his hypothesis. He took a guess and only kept patients who fit that hypothesis. At the same time a British doctor did a real study of heart diseased patients and found that it was sugar and simple carbs that clogged the arteries of patients. Keys caused foods to become low fat and dangerous for human consumption. Fats (good ones) are necessary to cover (sheath) all our extensive nerve system, to make hormones including sex hormones & many other functions. It also gave drug companies the green light to declare cholesterol a bad thing in the human body which it is not, and produce statins and other drugs which cause aching muscles, painful joints and misery to people until they die BUT, they make money!!!
@@783342 I'm not disagreeing with the good thorough reply you gave. I'm trying to figure out what all of this really means because there's to many people on the other side of Dr Berry that also have great health and long life doing the opposite of him.
@@joepesci6498 Even though mainstream MDs are taught little about nutrition in Med School they regard anything new as a fad for at least twenty years before they come round. Dr Esselsteyn, Dr Joel Fuhrman & others make up a group using a diet of high nutritional content one can't argue with and are very proud when someone's B/P lowers to 110/70 like a child's, but then German doctors disagree & they would want that B/P to be at least 130 on something because nutrients and oxygen have to be taken to the furthest crevices of the body and that takes power. There will never be just one diet good for everyone. Dr Berry is on the Carnivore diet, which is usually taken for issues no other diet addresses. I am aware of 3 people who ate only eggs all their lives and the women lived to 120 (that's what our DNA gives us) and the man to 117. All interesting stuff. This family loves you, Joe Pesci. Many blessings to you..
What an inspirational Cardio-thoracic Surgeon with great integrity! As a previous ER nurse I have never crossed paths with a genuine surgeon like this. Both of you are truly inspiring and will turn countless lives around and hopefully the direction of healthcare in healing hearts and lives! Beautiful! thank you!
I am on a Keto diet and 16/8 fasting routine. I am 78 years old and recently quit drinking and now working out regularly. I had my annual checkup with my Cardiologist today. I will quote him, “Your heart is functioning perfectly and your numbers are great”. “You are very low maintenance and you should live a long time”. My father lived to age 84 and my mother to 103. The past 3 years with the aftermath of Covid and a knee problem left me 35 pounds overweight. I knew I had to do something and that meant taking complete control of my diet, my exercise routine, and critically… my mind. To me, the most important thing is to stop doing whatever it was that got me to my condition.
I’m 55 and from CA. I’ve been eating the carnivore diet for 3 weeks. I have lost 10 lbs and my midsection has shrunk quickly. My skin is better and I have better muscle definition, in just 3 weeks!
My Dad was dying from Cancer and was in the hospital. He had been a type 2 Diabetic most of his life, he control his diabetes by watching his sugar intake and metformin. While he was in the hospital they had his blood sugar up to 500 due to the high crab diet they had him on. I ask to speak with the dietician about the food they were feeding him everyday. The Certified Dietician actually had the gall to tell me, that you body has to have sugar. I said really, well you've got my Dads blood sugar up to 500 because of the trash you are sending up to his room. I ask her do you not have meat and vegetables for him to eat. So they changed his diet that day, and his blood sugar started dropping.. With cancer the sugar you eat feeds the cancer cells. So they had his blood sugar up to 500, great job!!
I own Dr Ovadia's book and lend it out all the time. Friends and family who read it change their eating habits because of the book. Both of you are helping change peoples health and lives! So happy to see you together. God bless both of you 🙏
Unfortunately, medical school is actually pharmaceutical school. My GP has limited knowledge about keto which I've been doing for 4 years. When my GP wanted to put me on statins to lower my cholesterol, I told her, "No, thanks." I'm 60 yr old female, 5'0", run every day and weigh 105 lbs. No meds, just vitamins.
I love that you took control and didn’t doubt that you knew better and could work it out based on results and how you felt for yourself as you started that 4 year journey. GOOD ON YOU!!!!
I had a triple bypass 4 years ago one year later I felt like I was going to die scared of going to sleep because I didn’t think I was going to wake up listening to my crackhead cardiologist ..my heart surgeon was a champ but not my cardiologist I came across this keto and fasting diet 2 years later I dropped 60 lbs and feel like a young man again and thinking of going back to work next year....thanks all you GREAT and HONEST DOCTORS...
As important as your health is, even more important is your spiritual well being. We don't need to be afraid to go to sleep and not wake up if you know Christ as your personal Savior. He promises us eternal life. So if you've placed your faith & trust in Him, your last breath on earth is your first breath in heaven. Please read Roman's 10:9-10 in the Holy Bible which outlines God plan of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I have been working with Dr. Ovadia since late February of this year and clearly, it is one of the best decisions that I have made in my life. My only regret is that I did not start this journey of metabolic health and working with Dr. Ovadia much sooner! Dr. Ovadia generally cares about his patients and takes the trusted relationship very seriously.
Where is Dr. Obadiah reside? I would love to go see him. I had a cardiologist save me in emergency from 2 other doctors who wanted to cut me open to see why I kept ending up in emergency not being able to breathe. It was in the 80’s. Long story. He over heard our conversation from the other side of the curtain. After they left he opened the curtain and told me not to let them do that! He said it was very painful! He gave me his card and something for allergies and said they would help until I could figure it out. I called him the next day and made an appointment with him. He priced ti me it was not my heart. I told him I was going to see a lady who was doing natural things and he encouraged me to pursue that. Today I do Keto and have really cleaned up my diet 7 years ago. I did stand up to those doctors in the emergency roomN lol I love Dr. Berry! He is so awesome in the way he stands up to these doctors. This is an excellent video! Thanks to both of you!
I’m an RN w 30yrs exp. Was 225 60 days ago, 199 now. Have been listening to great clinicians online… intermittent fasting, healthy keto, anti inflammatory fresh Whole Foods … A1C, BP normal now … daily cardio 60min, daily bodybuilding flex rep workouts 90min. Results are coming fast despite eating a lot of lean healthy foods. Physicians like these are huge blessings to all of us!!!
I am also an RN, was so unhealthy. Work has constant cookies and candy I was up to 220 and I'm 62 in! Started very low carb, IF. And exercise. Down 35lb so far. Joined ZIVLI group.
Unnecessary. Go carnivore. Eat the highest fat meat that you can find. Meat and salt. Eat as much as you want. No veg. Only meat. That’s it. Work out with heavy weights twice a week for 20 minutes. You may find better results doing a lot less. Nothing more is necessary.
I’m a Pediatric ER RN with 30 years under my belt too! Was thin in my younger days but have yo-yo and this year hit my highest weight of 222lbs! Everything was hurting, my back kept going out. I’ve decided enough is enough. I started transitioning myself off the sweets/ carbs. Eating just locarb meals, trying not to snack which is hard on night shift. Since Jan 4th I’ve lost 10 lbs- coming off slowly but my joints are already feeling better and my stomach is flattening out. Hubby has lost 16 lbs. I did Atkins years ago and it worked! Have delved into Paleo and Keto as well. It just gets harder as you get older and more insulin resistant. I’m going to go hardcore and do Dr Berry’s Carnivore diet. I’m so ready to be healthy.
A friend went Keto 3 years ago ... his doctor said he is like a new person ... he was prediabetic, high cholesterol, over weight, poor skin, fatty liver and more ... now his sugar response is normal, low cholesterol, lost a LOT of weight, solved the fatty liver and he looks GREAT ... I'm trying Keto now ... but it isn't easy to break your food habits
Its pretty much impossible. I would actually recommend doing a Saltwater fast. For atleats 3 days. Then you can reset what you eat. Otherwise the cravings will be so strong. If you can eat cheese and eggs and meat. Keto is fairly easy. But with food allergies its alot harder to eat only animal fat with meat. At that point fruit might actually help belive it or not lol.
@@pablorages1241 yeah I hear you. Personally I’ve been doing keto but not the healthiest version. Too much cheese and processed meat. The keto I think helps but for me the 24-36 hour fast is key. My program as of now is coffee with creamer, nothing till 6 pm. Salad and nuts, or small amount of meat. Then I work till midnight so I eat once I get home and I’ll eat jerkey, cheese, chicken, fried cabbage, tuna. I’ve lost about 20-25 now. What do you have trouble not eating? Mine is pizza so I listened to make a decent cauliflower crust and I make Stromboli on Friday nights loaded with pepperoni and mozzarella lol. It doesn’t put weight back on and Friday night used to be pizza night so I get that fix. I just make a committed 7-8 month goal and watch every week or month if I’m on track. If not then I scrutinize my diet more and do a fast. I’ve lost weight before, it’s insanely hard and a mental game. It just comes off so slowly. Hope this helps some
1. Carnivore: only animal protein. 2. Keto: animal protein & vegetables. 3. Mediterranean: animal protein, vegetables, some carbs. 4. Vegetarian: vegetables, some carbs. 5. Vegan: only vegetables. 6. On RUclips, there are numerous experts who swear by each of these diet disciplines. 7. Can they all be right? 8. They can’t all be wrong. 9. Or can we learn a little something from ALL of these diet disciplines and craft a custom diet program that works for each of us as INDIVIDUALS?
Id say a 3 day fast is more difficult than keto/carni. When you get hungry just eat more meat. You'll put on weight but it helps. Then you stop eating as much. I think this dr talks about that on here.
The lack of gum inflammation was a real game changer for me. The dentist had been telling me for over a decade that my gums were bad due to being an ex smoker.
Same. I've lost over 50lbs in about the same time. Though, I'm not supper strict keto. I eat some carbs occasionally, just not often or a lot. ...except for that pizza. lol
I’m a 61 year old female. I’ve been keto almost two years. I went from 163 to 135 pounds in about four months and have stayed there. Had not weighed that since high school. My cholesterol is 270 but doc says the ratio is good. Also had a CAC or Coronary Artery Calcium scan and it was zero - best score you can get. See Ivor Cummings channel the Fat Emperor on this. I feel great and enjoy wearing clothes that show off my school girl figure. Just do it.
Female 67, 1 year keto this July...love it, live it..new recipes, etc. I have a waistline now and a tone, trim back, where it was never possible. Shape change was amazing. Never did weigh myself. Wasn't in it for weight loss but for health.
I am a clinical pharmacist that practices in San Antonio , Texas . I have always wanted to learn more about food as medicine , and have always questioned the mainstream medicine ie cholesterol hypothesis , the more I dig , the more I am really upset about how institutions of medicine and pharmacology constantly misinform people to benefit there wallets …. Unbelievable Thank you for sharing this interview with everyone , knowledge is power . Food is thy medicine , and medicine is thy food Thank you Dr Dave
The teaching of medical students seems to be totally medicine-based. It's a complete takeover of all normal human nowledge by financial systems. Doctors should be ashamed to have taken it on board so totally and without question.
As a Patient In San Antonio & Veteran at the VA medical center,… Their only option is pushing more meds- in a 15 min visit. My dr is not agreeable to any conversations. I am exiting the VA!
I’m 66 years old and I just started the keto diet about a week ago I’m looking forward to the results. I’m trying to get my daughter and my sons on the ketogenic diet because they have issues as well health issues. I really enjoyed this episode. Thank you so much, I follow you constantly just like to learn more.
What a dream of an interview!! To listen to a Cardiac Surgeon tell of his journey into actual healthy eating, this is amazing! I am an old thoracic ICU RN who was sold on the low fat, low calorie diet for all my patients. In the 80's I was 'rehabbed' by one of my roommates regarding margarine. It was a slow uphill learning curve from there - now its only grass fed butter and beef for me and my loved ones - and it's so freeing to know that just eating meat is enough (my gut does not tolerate most veggies). Ciao for now.
Yes, margarine was first in another form, and first developed, as a quicker and cheaper way to fatten up cattle as they finished them, just before slaughter. It worked great, until those cattle began dropping dead of heart failure. So what did they do next? Well, someone got the bright idea to hydrogenate those garbage oils that they began with, and call it "Oleo," margarine, then market that to PEOPLE! 😱
Great talk-thank you. The cardiologists at my hospital know I do keto and scowl at me during lunches when they see my food. Meanwhile my blood sugar, A1C are super-low and coronary calcium score is zero. It works, and I feel great at almost 60.
You and me both....Took 6 years after my Stent and lots of doctor recommended medicine which made my numbers look great but I did not feel great. Started eating more vegetables and salad and felt bad in my gut. Started eating just meat only for one week and BOOM....felt like a new person.
62 yr old female who has been carnivore for just over a year. Keto for 8 yrs before that. I do daily intermittent fasting for 17 hrs. Went from 220 to 145 on carnivore. Had a complete physical 3 months ago which included a comprehensive metabolic panel that I asked for. He knew about a personal loss I had suffered in January 2024 as well. My T2D is gone. My A1C was 5.2. He took me off of Metformin. All of the 10 metabolic tests came back in normal ranges. Blood pressure and cholesterol both so much better he took me off of all meds but 1. Down from 5 to 1 and that one meds mg cut by 2/3's. If other diets aren't working for you, step outside your comfort zone and try carnivore. Side note: while my dr was happy with my new metabolic health and T2D being gone, he had NO INTEREST AT ALL in knowing how I did it. Told me to keep doing what I was doing. 🤔
This is my exact weight loss goal. I'm 38, when I started I was 220 and my goal is 145. I'm currently at 203, I'm 70% carnivore and 20hr fasting. Any advice or extra tips?
Dr Philip is the most important person you have ever had on. I just called my library and ordered my book. Thank you again. have him on again. he has the answer to everyones problems.
54 year old male, on keto for 1 year. Started at 195lbs and now hover between 165 and 170. Healthiest I've been since 2010. If you're new to keto you should give it at least 3 months to gauge results. First month your body will dump a lot of built up toxins. We need more doctors like these speaking truth. Thanks doctor B & O.
Many times I think it is so much more effective if you have a piece of health advice, to just cut to the chase define the problem and expand on the answer, all those palaver about these experiences and so on and so forth it’s all good stuff to listen to maybe even entertaining but the bottom line is, cut to the Chase for God sake!
@@purpleduck3494 I started by eliminating all sugars and reduced my carb intake to 20 grams or less per day. I eventually got carbs down to 10 grams per day. I eat 60% protein alternating between red meat, salmon, chicken and eggs and protein shakes. I have 40% veggies mostly greens. Carbs come from veggies, sauces, cheese and toppings. Stayed away from all deserts first 6 months then once a week one portion only. I weight train 4 to 6 x per week for an hour and 30min of cardio. If your new start small and build up to your goal. Consistency is the key. Good luck.
I love my cardiologist, he literally saved my life. Unfortunately he is stuck in the 90’s with his dietary advice. What she doesn’t know won’t hurt him. I’ve been carnivore about six months. Lost a bunch of weight, stopped taking statins, labs are perfect. Life is good
It's a battle to fight for myself against all the doctors! It's their education, their reputations, vs my future healt and long life. I to not have faith in them, but maybe my future results with a keto life style will help.
I told my friend my weight loss was due to low carb, low oxalate all fresh red meat animal fat no processed no sugar. She said breads ok tho, we have been eating it for 1000’s of years! I said the ‘bread’ we eat now is nothing like the way it was back then it’s full of additives and GMO high processed refined grains it’s not the same and is killing your health. She was pretty quiet after that! These videos are educating people about food so thank you your advice has changed my life!
Interesting trivia: Keto was brought to be in the 1920s as a means to manage epilepsy. My son has it (epilepsy) and we started keto about two months ago. He's currently on his longest stretch without a seizure since March and I've lost 20lbs as a pleasant side effect (I'm doing Keto with him as I didn't want him to have to eat so restricted all by himself). So it's been great for my 16 year old son, and for me as a former professional athlete who's creeping far too close to 50 who isn't as lean as he used to be. It might not be for everyone, but it's doing great things for us.
My son had infantile spasms as a baby and for about a year after trying every known medication. He had thousands of seizures a day! . He was put on the Keto diet at Johns Hopkins and was symptom free and seizure free within 30 days. He is now 23!
Thank you Dr. Berry. Your videos gave me the confidence to try a keto diet. My A1C dropped from 10.9 to 5.6 in 12 weeks. I lost 15-20 pounds and my triglycerides cut in half. Diastolic bp dropped 10 points as well. All now within normal range. No meds, just information made the difference. It simply would not have happened without your videos. My doctor said he's never seen anything like it. I know I am not alone in the success I've found with the information you are sharing. When I was down, you lifted me up. Thank you!!!
That’s all amazing. Just think about that statement by your doctor for a minute. She said she’s never seen anything like it. Think of how many patients she’s probably had in her career. Probably hundreds to thousands. And how many of them have tried tons of different dietary and lifestyle interventions to attempt to make the improvements you did with your health. Keto was superior to those other interventions and changes.
My doctor said the same thing. I had fatty liver disease and she told me if I didn't change my lifestyle I would die. But she wanted me on the standard American diet. I opted for keto and lost 70 lb completely reversed everything. She had me educator on the keto diet and started recommending it to other patients
I'm 63 years old, 5'9" and when I started my keto journey May 5, 2021, I weighed 306.8 lbs. Fast forward to today. I'm still on my journey, but I'm down to 225 lbs. My triglycerides are 63. Resting heart rate is 55. B.P. is down to normal range and I'm down from 3 B.P. meds to 1. I'll be off that final med soon, I predict. I sleep 8-9 hours a night. Prior I slept 3 hours a night. Concentration is excellent. I feel great! Getting better every day!!! It’s all about the biochemistry.
You notice these keto peoplo never mention the red meat consumption to colon cancer and cancer in general, plant based organic mostly raw diet is way healthy than your red meat csncer diet.
I love these doctors, surgeons intelligent people admitting they made mistakes in the past and are now out there openly discussing it and rectifying it . Another great interview ❤️❤️
I like the honesty of these two doctors. I get the feeling that they really do care as healthcare practitioners about what they do and it's not about making. money
Hi! I am listening in from Johannesburg South Africa. 64 yrs old. On day 4 of the carnivore diet after being desperate about pain down my legs and arms as well as my lower back. Recently told I have high cholesterol but refused statins... My husband is 70yrs old, the owner of 1 Stent in the big vain running over the heart, on stations and BP meds, has serious peripheral neuropathy for the past 8yrs and definitely not overweight! We are both in pain, both on day 4 and definitely going to keep on going to see the benefits! Thank you for this video. Just what my husband needs to hear!
I'm 75, 5 yrs into keto, 20g C, 110g P, 120g F. I reversed my T2D in 24 weeks to HbA1c = 33(mmol). BP was 150/90, but it's been 115/60 for 3+ years. And my Trig/HDL is 0.25. No significant increase in exercise over walking my dogs. I have done a PreKure Health Coaching course, so I can spread the word credibly. Dr Ken, you're one of my heroes; thanks for all your awesome advice, and thanks, Dr Phil, it's great to hear advice from a Dr at the sharp end...literally, thanks!
I had a friend that started fainting and had heart arythmia at 54, so be careful of a too low BP, licorice can boost it immediately, check with your doctor.
@marcia menage Was your heart arrhythmia in response to going carnivore? What have you since changed and are you still having the arrythmias? (Having similar issues)
@@kmb3011 Hi, it wasn't me , a friend and she is still has the arrhythmias. Its not the carnivore food but she eats a very low carb diet as sugar triggers her BP as well. Her sister died of a heart attack, so she is very nervous. She has seen many docs western and naturopathic, the cause is still undiagnosed. Good luck, trust the carnivore diet I have tried it and it certainly helps lose weight, especially with 18 hour fasting and one meal a day.
@@marciamenage931I am sorry to say that this is not correct. licorice is sugar. licorice is processed food. If what you say works it is because the person runs completely on sugar and when their sugar is low they have no energy and faint. They need to turn into fat burners by following a strict Keto diet.
Much respect for these two and other doctors willing to stand up and tell the truth. It is very helpful to know that there are still a few really good doctors out there.
Feb. 2022, I was diagnosed with type2 diabetes. My A1C was 9.1 and my bloodsugar was 500! I was put on 2000 mg of metformin per day. 1,000 after breakfast 1,000 after dinner. I also start doing my own research and the following you. I follow Dr Berg as well. I was doing 12-hour intermittent fasting. When you mentioned an apples and apple, steak is steak eat Whole Foods no preservatives that definitely change the direction of my diet. So I did keto for 30 days and then I did add 80 carbs per day into the second month. I'm making RUclips videos currently. 3 months later so in May 2022, my A1C dropped 5.5 average bloodsugar 111. Now, August 2022, my A1C dropped to 5.0 and average bloodsugar 97. Yes, I lost 30 lb. I need to replace my entire wardrobe. I forgot to mention in January of 2022, I was losing my vision. I had to stop driving for 3 weeks. So when I went to the doctor in February I thought I had a bladder infection. My urine told him my blood sugar was 500! I was a walking heart attack or stroke. In 3 months, I changed everything. Thank you so much for your input! You saved my life. I'm a married 32 years, Homeschooled till high school, mother of 4, 2 boys, 2 girls, married to engineer. Now, Substitute teaching at 2 different schools. From Livonia, Michigan!
Isn’t this a great life? Congratulations I lived the other side of Telegraph from you. I’ve been low carb about 4 years and our story are so common,no cheating! 💪🕺🏻🧀🥚🥩🥬🥦🧄🥑🫐☃️
I am where you are at. Recently went to doctor`s office, A1C was 10.3. And I went to her office 3 years ago in 2018 and it was notated in my file that it was 8. In 2018 I was prescribed 2000 mg Metformin as well but I completely ignored taking it regularly. I ignored that I am Type 2. My blood sugar was regularly 400-500 - but I kept ignoring all. Fast forward to today, I can`t drive more than 60 miles an hour. It`s like I am in slow motion. I keep forgetting things. Hard to concentrate and hold a job. Like 10 days ago, I cut carbs and started taking Metformin regularly. Bread and sweets were the hardest part. But I replaced with flaxseed bread and occasional keto sweets that I buy. The point is, though, I am not counting calories. I have cut carbs (my daily food is, cucumber, tomato cheese for mornings, and meat + flaxseed, roasted almonds and salad. No fruits, no sugar, no bread, no carbs in general) The thing is, did you count calories? What if I am consuming lets says 4000 calories of fat + protein and very little carbs. Can I still lose weight? My pants are slightly falling down now. But I don`t know...I just want to feel normal again...
Started keto in March. I have lost 50 pounds . All my blood work is in normal range! Heart Dr is thrilled! I'll never go back to my old ways of eating ! Life has dramatically changed for me ! I am 64. I feel better than I've felt in 20 plus years ❤ family is telling me I'm getting too skinny 😆 I wished I'd known about keto 30 years ago!
I have said those very words - "If only I knew about keto 30 years ago". No negative diabetes effects, no need for my weight loss surgery or recent skin removal. I'm healthy, happy and fit now but I wonder how much healthier and happier I could have been.
I believe in Keto and I.F. And from my extensive research I know it IS a concern to become too thin as an older person. I'm 70 and active, healthy, and thin. My sister is 73 and we both lost the weight we wanted to lose. But there are statistics that show that all-cause mortality is higher for people over 65 who become overly thin. So we have both asked trusted, fit friends for them to give their honest opinion if they ever see we getting too thin. (We know they won't say that out of jealousy) Good health! Just FYI: From an AI Overview : "Being too thin for an elderly person is dangerous because it can significantly increase their risk of falls, bone fractures, weakened immune system, muscle loss (sarcopenia), potentially leading to a lower quality of life and increased mortality rate due to the lack of protective muscle and fat tissue to cushion impacts and support their body functions; even unintentional weight loss in older adults can be a sign of underlying health issues."
4 months on keto and IF. I do 2 meals a day. I'm stunned by the weight loss and how I don't crave food anymore. I was an emotional eater and would get shaky if I didn't constantly snack (which shocks me when I think about it). I can't believe the freedom this way of eating has given me.
Sad to go through life eating just red meat ,I'm Italian, could never do Keto in million yrs eat in moderation, Keto is an extreme diet my Nonna had pasta everyday of her life ate Italian pastries, never exercised lived to 96...food is just one part of a long healthy life...loving non toxic relationships,.just as important, not just eating tons of meats...which can give you colon cancer. .
Uh, I think you might be speaking of dirty keto done wrong. Cause clean keto done right isn’t carnivore (which IS all meat) but I really didn’t know all the truth of keto til I researched it myself. It’s a very old diet, used to help epilepsy. Amazing…
@@letsgomets002 I live in Italy and I've no problem doing keto with all the great natural foods here, many of which I grow in my own orto. I eat red meat max twice per week. I also drink a little red wine and it doesn't affect my ketosis. I make my own keto bread and it's really good. If you don't like the idea of keto, that's cool. But many of us thrive on it and eat a clean, bio diet.
Dr. Ovadia hits the nail on the head at minute marker 09:39. I wish EVERYONE would hear this. I have been saying this for years. Eat whole foods and stay away from processed foods! I think each individual should do what works best for them eating however they choose. I am so sick and tired of the Paleo guys bashing the Vegans and the Vegans bashing the Keto guys and so on. Look people, there is more than one diet to achieve maximum health. This stream gets a thumbs up. Thanks for posting!
What I’ve noticed it doesn’t matter, if your keto, or vegan, or carnivore, if you look at all the successful videos that people have posted the common factor that they all have as they do not eat, processed foods
Absolutely right! I can’t be vegan( it disrupts my guts badly), but have friends and they are ok. I do better on keto/carnivore with little to no fruits and 9-10 vegetables that doesn’t cause me problems. The most important thing is to stop all processed foods. That alone has tremendous positive effects on human body.
Am watching from Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa, am loving this interview. I was on blood pressure medication for 23 years and on type 2 diabetes medication for 13 years, until I stopped three months ago as a result of following Keto diet and later carnivore diet and I am not sick, no headaches, no migraines. I lost about about 13kg in 7 weeks to date without doing much physical exercise (80% sedentary)
On Carnivore diet only a week, for me it is like stopping alcohol consumption! I am excited about being “nutritionally sober”!!!! Thanks Mom for telling me about it!!!❤
I've been hyper carnivore for several months after a low carb/keto diet. I cheat on holidays and special occasions but I'll never go back to SAD...carnivore is so freeing

I had a hip replacement last August and was discussing back surgery with a back doctor. I still have a lot of trouble with my hip/leg (both sides actually). I started Keto 2 months ago. My inflamation and joint, back, and leg pain has improved. I started going to the gym about a week ago. I am down from 250 to 224 and my muscles are becoming stronger and more defined. I am no longer on blood pressure medicine and my blood sugar stays between 85 and 110. Keto has literally turned my life around. I am 47 and felt like I was on a downward spiral. I don't think I would have lived much longer on the path I was on. I am so thankful I tried the Keto lifestyle. I want to be here for my wife, kids, and grandkids for a long as possible, and I don't want to be miserable anymore. Treating the problem rather than the symptoms makes all the difference.
Hi Jason, very well done! That's quite a turnaround; you didn't need to have a heart attack or diabetes to discover life can actually feel healthy, as you get older.❤️🌱
I’m 58 w/NASH. I was trending downward fast. My wife was unaware, but I knew I was in trouble. My labs are good but I’m still foggy. Had severe chronic fatigue which has improved.
I’ve been on a low carb diet for a couple of decades. I have high cholesterol. At 63 my new doctor wanted to medicate even though the cholesterol (and age I guess) are my only risk factors. I demanded a full cholesterol check including density testing and a CAC Scan. My LDL was all big fluffy LDL. My CAC Score was Zero. I’m 67kgs/180cm (148lbs/5’11”). Gym 4 times a week including 2 bootcamps. Have 128/75 bp. Resting heart rate of 50bpm. And a doctor looks at my total cholesterol and wants me on statins and to visit a dietician!!! How did they qualify as an MD? Like I’m going to listen to a dietician. The most discredited profession in the world!
That’s great , thanks for sharing . Is your doctor fat ? Haha ! My LDL cholesterol is high 358, but since I’ve been on keto my HDL, good cholesterol, shot up from 50 to 78, which is real good, but my Triglycerides are high, I think 168. Thankfully I have a female Muslim doc that doesn’t force statins on me. She did give me 10mg of Atorvastatin at one point and it brought my cholesterol down to normal range but I was getting joint pains, so I wanted off them . She didn’t have a problem with that . I’m 74 . My A1C went from 6.4 to 5.1 and weight would bounced 164 to 168 to 134.4 after four months. So I’m good !

I know this vid is older but I wanted to comment…After 7 years of being vegan, last week I decided to try keto. I’m using eggs and sardines. I don’t want to eat animals but I feel like my health has suffered. One problem I’m having is huge anxiety over heart problems. My grandpa died at 49 in his sleep after his third heart attack. After hearing all the vegan documentaries tell me if my cholesterol was at 150 I was almost guaranteed not to have a heart attack , I was sold on the low fat idea. Now, after learning more about keto and seeing results, I’m still worried but feel like I’m taking a leap of faith. This video has helped tremendously. Thank you ❤
The scientific learnings have improved tremendously in recent years. You don’t need to worry about cholesterol. Just keep on keto and above all cut out the vegetable oils (other than olive oil)
There is what we think we should want to eat and what our body demands. I hope you do try different meat options to see what your body needs to keep you in good health. For me it was egg whites. I don’t digest them well and was stubborn about just eating the yokes. Now i can still have what i want but different. Good luck😊

At the age of 18 I completely stopped drinking soda. I only drink water. My health changed drastically. I have also gotten used to not eating breakfast and eating between noon and about 7 pm. I don't eat sweets at all. Never have. I'm very much a meat and potatoes type of guy. I have never even been close to being over weight and I feel just fine. I went to the doctor the other day and my blood sugar and blood pressure was just fine. I truly believe that completely cutting out sugar helps out Soo much. All of my family members that are constantly drinking sodas are over weight and have one disorder or another.
@@peacelove7437 It's your overall condition, not your high school weight that matters. Are you flexible? Weight doesn't reflect anything unless it is way over or way under. Your health condition is measured by so many other things. I am almost 74. I have worked out all my Life. In my early years, I had to learn to not focus on the scale but to do what you love activity-wise. Eating clean and healthy was always my family habit. No fried or processed foods. What you weighed in high school is meaningless for a grown woman. Grown women have often had babies. Our height changes as we age. Muscle weighs more than fat. What is your endurance level?
I took potatoes out of my diet...natural grenades LOADED with carbs. Lost 50 pounds...BP improved...overall health improved with a low carb diet (lots of meats, salad, fat).
Fortunately my Dr passed away but before she did about 4 weeks before my next appointment I switched to keto. Within 3 days I took myself off diabetes meds 2 pills a day and multiple shots of insulin a day. My triglycerides were 678 3 months before and got them down to 158. When I got the Dr that took my old Dr's place she told me after getting all my blood results back that whatever I am doing is working and to keep it up. I was high risk now I'm healthy. Blood pressure good cholesterol good and diabetes way good almost non diabetic now. I completely cut out sugar. In 2 months I have lost 36lbs
A low carb Swede here. Stumbled by random om Andreas Eenfeldts (diet doctor) book - The food revolution, 1y ago and it saved my life. Crunched some 200 research papers since and never going back to high carb processed food. Keep up the good job.

Poptarts are at the apex of processed foods ~ they last forever in the cupboard and you can toast them for infinity without them changing color or texture. I have pushed down the toaster handle numerous times on a poptart and it kept coming out relatively unchanged every time..scary.
It’s nice to see a vegan that understands balance. I’m keto, I cycle carbs when I need to, staying metabolically flexible. I incorporate a large amount of veg in my diet. Brussels, cauliflower, cabbage, spinach, tomatoes, red/green/yellow peppers, sweet peppers, avocado, olives, macadamia/Brazil/almonds, red cabbage, colorful lettuce leaf’s, cucumber, coconut, shishito peppers, berries, winter melon, pumpkin, etc.
I appreciate that both of you use your brain and think! Too many people, Doctors included, swallow whatever information is fed to them without engaging their brain, without using critical thinking skills, and without being open minded enough to consider unpopular research. Not to mention the “approved” (they use the term “credible”) research that is often botched, not peer reviewed, and funded by those to stand to profit from certain results. If they don’t like the results, they toss out the research or ridicule it. Much appreciation to both of you!! Keep up the great work and keep these conversations going! Also thank you for proving that there are still doctors out these that have the best at heart- to help people be healthy. There are a few that just think of their own career at the expense of people’s health, and a lot of people have a bad attitude toward doctors because of the few.
I’ve been doing Keto and IF for over 4 years now, I lost 80lbs, put about 15lbs of muscle back on, reversed my fatty liver, all my health problems went away, my arthritis is 80% better and my blood pressure is 127/81 and just turned 61.

I do chronic care management and damn near all of my patients have a trifecta of issues: diabetes, hyperlipidemia and hypertension. I ALWAYS start my care planning with an in-depth evaluation of their diet. I’d say 90% of my patients can correct their chronic medical conditions by changing their diet. The other 10% have structural/genetic factors. I’ve been able to graduate patients out of CCM by using the motivation of getting off of medication. The majority of my patients do not want to be on medication, so I exploit this desire to help keep them motivated. When I develop their diets with them, I tell them, the EASIEST way to KNOW if what you’re eating is good for you is how many ingredients it has and how quickly you have to eat it before it rots/moldy. If you have a food with one ingredient and it rots/gots moldy in a few days… THAT is a good food to eat. Teaching patients to eat Whole Foods, that are unprocessed can be a challenge- especially for those on a fixed income. Teaching them to eat naturally to where their ancestors came from seems to really help them with understanding the harm modern food processing techniques and availability of foods from various regions that are not native to your genetic make up are harmful. We like animals have developed a way of processing native foods from our native environment. The practices I work for don’t question my methods due to the success my patients experience while working with me. Thank you for confirming my technique and validating my success. Epinephrine is probably the only truly life saving medication aside from an antibiotic in specific cases.
I only recently learned about all this and had to UNLEARN a lot of the stuff I was taught growing up. Finally I am getting healthy. I’ve cut out sugar and most processed foods. I’m no longer afraid of saturated fats and embrace fasting like never before. I’ve lost 15 lbs in 2 months but mainly all my clothes are loose on me now ❤️.

Keto diet has worked for me. My A1c index has reduced from 6.7 to 5.3 in 3 months. BP reduced from around 140 to around 130. Lost 7kg in weight ( 87 to under 80 ). A definite convert to a keto diet which is basically the diet I was brought up on in the 50's and 60's, based on bacon and eggs for breakfast and meat and three vegs for dinner. We never had soft drink or ice creams and chocolates were a rare treat, mainly at easter and Christmas. At my last visit to the doctor to get the good news above health improvements he make a telling observation. He said that when he started medicine in the 1970's the main problem he had with pregnant women was getting them to stop smoking. Now it is getting them to loose weight!
weight loss does not correlate with health though. You can lose weight just with water diet for a week. It does not mean that you got "healthier" per se.
Coconut oil may contain saturated fat, but that is changed in the body to medium chain fatty acid MCT so it is not really harmful. U may also ask some unbias drs, as also dr. Steven Gundry on this. Thanku

check your Blood Pressure,
See numbers next blood draw.
Take magnesium citrate also, 2 hours before sleep - relaxes arteries, good for every cell in body
Minimal fruits, less to no sugar, no breads/flour
@dgarza-jw9fg but doesnt LDL go up with keto? And carnivores diet? Or is that due to inflammation from eating bad omega 6 meat?
Hi, My understanding it goes up to start and then as your body get sused ot everytihing it improves and returns to the place it should be at :)

my husband recently found out he needs triple bypass surgery.
Thank you for sharing that !!! So encouraging!
Good to hear about a smart doctor who cares about his patients.
Did he still had the bypass?
Soon hell be off insulin

I’ve been keto since Feb 2022. Lost 30lbs. At the end of April I started getting dizzy. Went to ER one day because of it.. endless Lab work looks fine. Finally made it to a cardiologist and this week they just came to the conclusion they are dialing back my blood pressure medication and totally taking me off the diuretic, hydrochlorothiazide.
Wonderful.

So u have weight loss due to keto. But it will kill u in other ways. It's unnatural.

Dr Berry and Dr. Ovadia are helping thousands of people live a much longer healthy life. Thank you both.
It is comforting to hear a doctor trying to keep patients away while the inhuman pharma companies try otherwise. Need more like him to save humanity. Thank you, Dr. Berry.
My former cardiologist cried: stop keto! You're killing yourself! Mind you, he was extremely overweight himself. I switched doctors⚘️
Look at the health of Dr Atkins who believe in the high fat diet and the multiple health issues he had before he died .
being thinner does not make you "healthier" per se.
You can lose fat, but gain vitamin deficiency and organ damage. Be careful.

Total respect for these 2 Doctors, because it takes a lot for someone to admit when they were wrong.
I applaud them for embracing that they were "taught" wrong.
@@cyn7869 too many damn narcissists. 👎
Well done guys x

It's not just their income, many doctors get big financial perks from the Big Pharmas for pushing these drugs. When I asked what it actually does he was stymied. He didn't know only what they are "suppose" to do according to Bug Pharma who to me are nothing more than drug pushers.

Awesome that you are taking control over your health. My 102 year old uncle told me.he ate fats all his life but most of all stayed away from Doctors!
@@tihs69 so true.....👍
My doctor tried to get me on statins a while back. No way!
@@tihs69 My mother always avoided doctors and lived to 98 with never a day's illness!
My doctor wanted to remove my thyroid. I found a new doctor who was more interested in saving my thyroid.
That's wonderful! Praise the LORD.

The elite oil barons subsidize most MD Universities also own most of pharma companies too. Well known why docs are a chemical pushers.
Same here BUT I was told the statin helps hold the plaque in place and from flaking off causing a heart attack or stroke.
I think Keto done cleanly ultimately dissolves the plaque. I might check that though…

@@johnwilkins3995 I have no problem with the fasting ... it's the change in diet ... you get so set in your ways about what you eat

I told my friend my weight loss was due to low carb, low oxalate all fresh red meat animal fat no processed no sugar. She said breads ok tho, we have been eating it for 1000’s of years!

Keep going on this journey. I’m there with you. T2 has been reversed and weight just dropped off with ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting.

Vegan diet bloated me too...keto I have abs and energy
WOW.
Gimmie all the steak bacon and eggs 😋
Appreciate this discussion!
I have been on hypertensive medication for +20 years

I’ve been doing Keto and IF for over 4 years now, I lost 80lbs, put about 15lbs of muscle back on, reversed my fatty liver, all my health problems went away, my arthritis is 80% better and my blood pressure is 127/81 and just turned 61.
127/81 at 75-80 pulse, 61yo and you are active, happy life. God bless you. Keep up with Keto and IF. I am at early 50 and I am not that happy as you are. joints pain is my problem. I keep telling my self to lower carb, less bread and less burrito. HOW EVER I always say no to processed food.
your labs are ok even after eating more saturated fats ?
Please share your diet chart , I’d truly appreciate it. I haven’t lost any worth in two months. I eat fish and eggs.
@@BRIANDER100 Never been better!
@@sereneblue202 I eat only twice a day, I fast for 16 to 18 hours a day, once in awhile I’ll do a 24 hour fast but if you’re doing keto and IF you should watch Dr. Eric Bergs videos on RUclips he has over 7000 videos that can greatly help you.
Keep going.I lost 70 lbs in 1.5 years.6.1’ male,I am 190 lbs now.Back to normal weight.
The reality of what food is, is the tip of the iceberg concerning the reality we have been sold. Almost everything is literally the opposite of what you have been told.
It's mind boggling.
Same here. I'm almost 60 and never felt better since I quit wheat sugar and bad carbs
Learn to love fat. That and avoiding sugar were hardest to reprogram, but now, I get all my nutrition in one fatty meal.
Hi cutie. 😁
I have finally found a doctor who paid attention in his comparative anatomy class. I am very pleased to have a doctor that I can talk openly with.
I join the choir to say keto, IF work! 63 was diabetic started low carb then IF and lost 28lbs. In 6 weeks. I am almost off all insulin. As long as I stay pretty much carb free my blood sugar stays 90-118, which is awesome for me! I’m sold on this diet! Thank you!
I started the low carb/ no sugar lifestyle in mid March 2022 it’s now late June and I’ve gone from 210 to 185. I feel great.
weight loss does not correlate with health though.
You can lose weight just with water diet for a week. It does not mean that you got "healthier" per se.
@@ベストカジノボーナス weight loss correlates with health if the person is overweight or obese, assuming it was done in a healthy way.
Coconut oil may contain saturated fat, but that is changed in the body to medium chain fatty acid MCT so it is not really harmful. U may also ask some unbias drs, as also dr. Steven Gundry on this. Thanku
Do you use the sugar replacements like xylitol etc? Do you do any honey or do you just stay away from desserts altogether? What do you have for desserts? Would love some guidance please. Thank you.
@@purpleduck3494 … He lost weight likely because he simply ate less overall. The low carb, low sugar foods was likely more filling. I however lost weight by eating more processed foods, didn’t matter the carb and sugar content, going from 195lb to 165lb. Exercise also didn’t hurt. There’s real no secret. The secret is to eat low calorie filling foods. Expend more energy than you take in. I aimed for 200 protein, 200 plus carb, and 50 plus in fat.
I am listening from Rupert Idaho. Thanks for all the great information.
Been carnivore 26 years. Used to call it the strict hunter diet. My heart, cholesterol, and health are perfect!!!!!
Do you eat any plants at all?
How do I do the carnivore diet? What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?
Wonderful! I eat bacon and eggs for breakfast, tuna salad or leftover steak for lunch and I usually have burgers oe steak for supper. I make dip from sour cream and a little spices
I only eat a few spices. You can wean down to only meat and cheese and eggs

I had a stabbing pain on my right side under my rib cage for over a month. I was diagnosed with a fatty liver. I went on a l no carb no sugar Keto diet, starting with a liver cleansing drink of kale, berries and kefir. Within two days the pain was gone, I lost 17lbs in a month and all my vitals were in a positive range at the end of the month checkup. It works…
Great tip, many thanks
Did you feel a little weak and sweaty when you first started this diet?
Did you use the kale berry keifer to replace a meal or just added as a drink with meals?
Started to use kale berry and kefir to break my 16/8 18/6 fast it’s amazing than eat regular breakfast like eggs half cup enough for me don’t put too much water like it more thick on keto for 4 month going to check my liver in few month still feel pressure on right side but after kale drink much better
That’s great well done, I have cysts on the liver I’m having veggie juice and just started back on a keto diet.
My husband and I are on Keto. My husband has had cat allergies causing asthma his entire life (68 yrs). Since we’ve been doing Keto and fasting he hasn’t had any asthma episodes. We visited our daughter’s for a week and they both have cat’s, he never needed his asthma medication.
I have heard even seasonal allergies go away for some. This is great news.
Time to get a cat then :-)
I'm in New York, NY & wonder if Dr Ken D Berry or Dr Ovadia would advise organic half & half in iced coffee (sweetened with organic stevia drops), which a young researcher on Dr Oz recommended as one of the things that most dramatically raised his metabolism while testing many things while hooked up to expensive, quality monitors testing his level of metabolism, IF HAD 1st thing in the morning, OR coconut milk instead of the half & half, which Dr Gundry just encouraged in his new MCT Powder commercial, which is designed to raise metabolism to burn belly fat, especially the dangerous fat around organs.
I recently noticed the new thin Oreos have a notice on the side of the package that they contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Super Bad!
@@jennybtx my seasonal allergy reduced like 99% this year. Last few years were horrible from april to july but this year I got no symptoms. Something improved in my gut because of low carb diet.
Dr. Ken I just recently found your channel and subscribed after 1 video. I really appreciate your videos and content. Although this was posted at least a year ago it's very timely for me. Thanks for what you do and for sharing your wealth of knowledge. Thanks to Dr. Ovadia for sharing his experiences with keto. God Bless you both.
The best doctors are the ones sharing diet information and trying to share how to stay healthy not sick! Thank you both for more great information!
As an educator in high school this is one of my biggest challenges. What we teach and feed our kids is sickening. It is an up hill battle but worth every inch to get my students healthier
U P H I L L is an understatement. 🙄😑🇺🇸
One of the things I now find alarming is how many parents have 'birthday parties' for their little kiddies but use it as am excuse for an adult pissup 🍺🍻🥂🥂🥃🥃🥃🍹🍹🍹🍷🍷🍾
I know. My kids elem. Teachers would give them candy to perk them up!! Um, no!
I don't think it's generally believed that these food companies make foods that contain addictive agents, let alone carcinogenic ingredients they have knowledge but are apathetic. Companies in bed with the FDA. One can only deduce to see it this way. When there is hard data, why else would our agencies designed just for this not do it's job?
