I bought this heart surgeons book. It’s excellent. This is the best interview I’ve ever seen on heart disease. My cardiologist just gets irritated when I ask him anything about diet. He just peddles pills. Well I’m doing a carnivore diet and it’s cleared up my diverticulosis. Skin tags disappearing. Sinus and allergy issues. Snoring. Sleep apnea. High Blood pressure. Psoriasis. Eye floaters. IBS. All gone Within the first month. Insulin resistance and pre diabetes will all be gone soon. Ive lost weight. Im Hoping to be off my BP meds soon.

I would like to know exactly what your eating, please. I need encouragement to keep going with carnivore. I do know that after two months of carnivore I quit having diarrhea. So I had a gut problem. Since after having COVID and fatigue the whole month of January and working I gradually slid off carnivore. I'm getting back on. I have only retained a 10 pound weight loss. Weight wasn't my prime concern but I do have 25 more lbs. to lose. I've already increased my walking so that should help. I'm 71 yrs. Thx!

My grandmother lived to over 100 years old, and she cooked everything in bacon fat and beef tallow. She grew all her own fruit and veggies . All her animal foods were bought local from neighboring farms. Even at 100, she was on no meds and never had any vaccines. She fell off a ladder and broke her hip, so she had to go to the hospital, where she ended up getting pneumonia, and they let her fall out of her bed. She probably would still be here today had she not had to be in the hospital .
I also had a great uncle who lived to 115, and he ate pretty much the same way, lots of homegrown food and everything cooked in animal fats. They're from Tennessee, so good ole southern food.
I'll take eating good over statins any day, because on the opposite side my dads side of the family they had horrible diets lots of processed foods lots diabetes and the ones who were on statins died from heart disease.
We need to bring back eating nose to tail in the US and stop the criminalization of raw milk. Stop pushing kale and pesticide laden gmo soy and corn products and start pushing liver, fish roe ,raw milk, and raw milk food products because those are the true superfoods. When your body gets real nutrition, fat soluble nutrients you will find you don't need to eat as much and you are not constantly hungry.
The food pyramid needs to be completely redone, but they will never do that because, unfortunately, our government, the healthcare system, and big pharma want us fat and sick ,so we are lifelong customers. Let's get back to fixing people's health issues and not just pushing drugs .

Hi Kellyer1970 , I agree 100%. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. I can truly feel your pain. I'm guessing that they gave her a serious infection after restraining her to a bed?
My precious Mom fell and cut her head. It was not an emergency. I was not told about it until my brother's decisions cost her dearly. The hospital killed her a month ago. I'm against hospitalization and the big pharma controlled pill pushers who claim to be health experts. Most MDs have not taken one semester of introductory nutrition and are the biggest cause of death in America. I can tell from your comment and channel that you are better qualified than they are about general health and recovery.

Based on my statistical research when I worked for the drug companies I refused to take Statins. My doctors kept telling me I would die. They wrote on my medical record that I was insane. I will be 80 in August and enjoy cooking and walking. I take lessons in German over the internet every day and have increased my vocabulary. So life without statins has been good. Medicare insurance requires that I see my doctor once a year or else I would not have gone to see them. That being said professional medical advice has helped me e.g. my brother said he and the other airline pilots he knew as a pilot himself all recovered from insulin resistance after reading Protein Power by Dr. Eades and so did I. Likewise my years of painful cramps ended when I took magnesium recommended by Dr. Ken Berry also on the internet. I am trying to join and subscribe to some of the online doctors but for some strange reason some of the subscriptions are easy to get and others are not. ..... Weren't we all told that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound. of cure. Actually I think it is a ton of cure that our country needs. LOL The only year I got the Flu (including Covid) was the year I let my doctor talk me into getting a vaccine. I guess that is because I am strick about avoiding sugar and flour since reading Dr.. Eades.

I started whole food plant based about 10 years ago along with B12 and D3 K2 supplements. I dropped 120 pounds painlessly and standard metabolic panel tests improved dramatically. I hear the same from people on carnivore. Becoming increasingly convinced that processed food is at the core of most health issues.

That is great, but I do plant based organic mainly & I have a very high calcium score. 1,000 to B exact!
I also take B12,Vit D sometimes since mine is high 66 & I take many other supplements as I can afford to.
Could not do the carnivore diet because of how animals R raised & the fact that U gotta kill them to eat them. Bothers me still. Also meat is ever so expensive. Way out of my budget!
      So those R 2 reasons I eat as I do, but I have 70 to 75 % carotid blocked artery & 50% on the other 1.
So I am guessing it must B something else making my calcium so high. I take various mags. also. Could B having eaten cheese as 1 protein source. Not sure, but I am facing a serious blockage now.

It is so difficult to find stuff to eat. I have not been eating dead animals, but am thinking I may have to eat the least expensive dead animal meats so I can get protein outside nuts & cheese!!
I eat as much organic I can find. I try NOT to eat anything NOT organic too..

Toyed with carnivore (which to us seemed stupid) but surprisingly found it was fine - think it as excellent elimination diet. But decided to use Keto. I have no problem eating meat, every living thing on this planet serves as food for others. Living in the country I know nature does not give a stuff about how things die.

@@colpin99- statins? Why, why, why? Making the numbers behave doesn't make you healthy. You're shutting off your bodies repair mechanism.
Darko Vlček made a very good point when he said that the lab numbers of "glucoholics" aren't necessarily normal or healthy, and that LDL is not the evil monster made out by the medical system. When you eat carnivore, you need more bile to process the fat. The body produces more LDL to make bile. We also need cholesterol to form vitamin D and other hormones, and to rebuild cell walls. Doctors need to stop prescribing statins as a heart healthy intervention.

I understand what you mean. It's so very scary in the medical industry as docs are taught to do no harm but are steered to make money by following the standard of care protocol for every disease. Insurance companies play a big role too since they don't authorize payment for alternative, natural or holistic care. The "keep them sick so they come back" model is their money maker. Curing someone from the root cause doesn't make money. You're your own best advocate. The hospital emergency room should only be used for emergencies only (heart attack, stroke, unbearable pain, broken bones, etc). I only use conventional docs for testing as a prescription is needed for an ultrasound, etc. I take their advice with a grain of salt, do my own research and use my own discernment. After the last 2-3 years, the medical industry has shown their true colors and I don't trust them at all. Keto, ketovore and carnivore are best for health, especially the heart but it must be full time for life. Sugar and high refined carbs don't mix with good fat and grass fed/wild caught protein. Do your own research. Dr. Berg is a chiropractor but is a wealth of info along with keto and every other ailment you want info on. Dr. Darren Schmidt is located in Michigan and can see patients remotely but have 3 day travel packages for a visit. He's got this uncanny way of connecting the dots on root causes and has been very successful, especially with the heart. He does carnivore and Berg does keto. Check them out, both are on RUclips! Dr. Pradeep Jamnadas is a medical cardiologist in Florida and supports the non-conventional mindset and more holistic. He's on RUclips as well and sees patients. Time to fire your conventional docs and use docs that have your health interest in mind.

This is probably the most important video and interview on the Internet and RUclips today! I have no words to express the gratitude I have for true thinkers and medical mavericks like Dr. Ovadia! In fact, I’m desperately seeking him out in consultation for my husband, who just underwent open heart quadruple bypass surgery. All of his doctors, including his internist, cardiologist, cardiac surgeon, and endocrinologist insist that he must remain on statins, blood pressure medications including beta blockers, levothyroxine and baby aspirin for the rest of his life. No other options entertained. No detailed lipid profile ordered. No discussion about diet or nutrition other than the recommended low fat high plant diet offered when specifically asked about it. He is only 60 years old and has always been very active and healthy up until a month before his surgery at the end of January. The scales are falling from our eyes now, though, thanks to the truth being shared by other carnivore champions out there! Doctors need to become educated and practice the Hippocratic oath, not the status quo!

I just want to make you aware of something important. When I had my first massive heart attack, my BP was absolutely normal during that MI. It was 120/80 and bc it was normal the ER nurse refused to give me a nitro even though I was begging for an hour. He got mad at me bc I refused the x-ray and ABG (arterial blood gases)games. I tried to educate a fellow mwd staff only for him to raise his voice at me stating " I'm going to write in your chart your refusing docs orders so there's no room for you to sue us" then huffed out the room while I'm yelling at him to have doc order me CnP plus nitro now! Doc ordered what I asked and couldn't get me transferred by helicopter fast enough. When I arrived at next hospital rolled into surgery, the surgeon looked at me and said " I can't believe your awake talking to me yet". Then he allowed me to watch the stent surgery plus pointed out where my blockage was so I knew. I never should have lived through that MI.
Never think just bc BP is normal range that your good to go is my point. I suggest a strict diet change and I still take my blood thinner as I've not yet figured out what holistic med I want to supplement with. As for stating, I stopped them way back in 2011. I pray you stay feeling well and only keep your health moving in right direction 🙏

Processed carbs tend to have seed oils in them which seem to be a major contributer to all metabolic illnesses. Activating autophagy through extended fasts is what cleans up all of these problems.

Based on the calcium deposits, it will calculate the score. Cancer also shows up in the scan. My score was zero but with our first scan (they were having a 2 of 1 sale) the wife's score was 24. So after about two years of low carb, intermittent fasting (skip breakfast or dinner), some OMAD's and extended fasts, the next time she was scanned, her score was 21. I was not allowed to be scanned again in such a short period because my score was zero. Prior to this, we ate like most people. Too much rice, pasta, potatoes, bread, etc. I'm more active then my wife. She's like most women, lazy about exercise. About once a week I do weight training (HIT) and about once a week I cardio in the form of HIIT training. The main reason for starting low carb/fasting was to reverse my high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and loose weight which it did. I went from 235lb to 170 in about 4 /5 months or so. The type 2 diabetes resolved itself immediately but took longer for my blood pressure to normalize. Does that answer your question?

Sorry, but the whole world cannot eat meat only, unless we start eating Soylent Green. (If you get my drift, 😄)
#2: Obviously humans were not designed to just eat meat. Just examine our teeth. Then examine a dog's teeth, whom nature did design to eat only meat. (Get it???) Thru the last million years, we ate mostly plant material and our genetics reflect that
#3: You cannot get the nutrients you need w/o eating plant material. You will pay for this behavior.
#4: This s just a fad. YES! It is an improvement over the disastrous diets the masses have. But that doesnt mean it is the best diet for us. ( And yes, the Innuit ,(above the Arctic Circle), traditionally lived off of full carnivore. Still, that does not imply that this is the best one can do)
#5: This one you will hate to hear: Carnivore is for lazy people. Weve found that one can lose weight while getting no exercise with this. (I have a good friend who has a sedentary job who has well demod this fact.) AGAIN, while this is good, (compared), it is not the best he can do. No matter what you may eat, a sedentary lifestyle is a disaster for your health. Just one effect is that you are going to have very sluggish mitochondria, and that is a factor in all disease.

I've also had frequent labs at LabCorp, in addition to the standard ones my doc orders semi-annually. I lost 65+ pounds in the first six months of this venture, and keeping it off is easy, I actually had to focus on regaining a few pounds since, at 157, I was beginning to look frail and losing muscular strength. Btw, my A1c ranges 5.1 - 5.4, and my CAC score, a few years ago, was 16 on a 0-600 scale. The low-fat diet advice did push me to higher carb food, but it did NOT push me toward more processed food, because processed food is usually high in fat. I’m eating no more than 30 grams of fat per day, no more than 5-6 saturated, plant-based. My blood pressure is down from an average of around 170-180/100 to 110/70. My fasting glucose was in the 270s at type 2 diagnosis 2 years ago. 170s on keto. Under 130 now (sometimes under 100). Eating a baked potato before would give be 200+ after 2 hours. Now it’s under 130, and as low as 89. My cholesterol is coming down finally. Low fat plant based worked for me. It may not work for everyone, but for me it’s been a miracle.

Then I found people like Dr. McDougall, Dr. Greger, Dr. Neal Barnard and the Mastering Diabetes channel. They explained that insulin resistance (the root cause of type 2 diabetes) is caused by too much fat inside muscle cells which aren’t supposed to have much fat in them. It’s called intramyocellular lipids. (Look that up on Wikipedia.) This blocks insulin from being able to enter cells, so glucose stays in the blood instead of going to muscle cells for energy. That’s why diabetics are tired all the time.
Once I switched from low carb to plant based, my fasting glucose went from 250+ to 100-130, and my post-meal (with carbs) went from 200+ to 100-130 as well. I’ve even had post-meal as low as 89 after eating potatoes. It shocks me how much the medical profession, the media and the general public still buy into scientifically disproven and tired old tropes about what contributes to poor heart health. I blame the pharmaceutical and ultra processed food industries for perpetuating the mythology, as they financially benefit. Saddens me that most General Practitioners are not up to date with the latest research and keep pushing statins, instead of promoting sound dietary, exercise and lifestyle practices. Modern medicine is very good at treating acute life threatening outcomes, and distressing symptoms, but very poor at managing the causes of chronic disease.

Yes, but only on blood clots made of fibrin, just like lumbrokinase. Regarding atherosclerosis, ketogenic diet is the cure for non-calcified plaque. There is a scientific research currently being conducted that found ZERO cases of non-calcified plaque among large number of long-term (few years+) keto dieters, which is impossible to find in random general population. And lastly, for calcified plaque, which is much rarer than non-calcified plaque, one should try ketogenic diet with megadoses of vitamin K2 in MK-4 form + perfect intra- and extracellular magnesium levels proven by regular blood tests. Diet with all essential minerals and vitamins is a must too.

The CAC is just for screening. If you have a positive score. You know you have soft plaque. It’s time to make changes. You’ll see a blockage in the heart long before you will in the carotid arteries.

I love that he admits off the bat that his position is controversial, but brings his own real professional experience to justify his position. It's this kind of reasoned argument that makes me sit up and pay attention vs the endless string of chiropractors and entrepreneurs on the internet claiming to be experts of cellular biology (despite no educational or professional experience) and making claims in the face of all established medical science.

Dr. Ovadio is a hero for telling the truth and you are terrific for diving into these topics like you do and bringing VERY important news to us "regular" people. Take a deeper look at the Jupiter trial- it is very doubtful that statins truly lower inflammation- there are so many questions in that trial starting with the fact that was mentioned in that it was only compared to placebo- also 1.9 year average follow up from 18000 to 393 at 4 years - the change in crp from year 1-2 didn’t change for the treated group, 71 more metabolic syndrome in placebo group and about 10 more issues-all while doing a study that have cvd with ldl below 130 - I could type a book on this study alone

I used to burn very easily, I also used factor 50 sun screen, however since going mainly carnivore, no carbs, I can sit in the sun most of the day without burning!!
