I agree @joeblo but I feel like back then we busted our ass just to save up and buy some headers and intake. Now you got dudes running around with a 70k car. Times have definitely changed.
Yeah I call modded foxbodys confidence killas if upset a few newer cars to wear there checking my car for nos. But power to weight is on point with these old stangs. My buddy had a infinity g37x awd with 330hp we did a 30mph roll and I pulled 2 car on him with my basic fox stock gear motor etc. he didn’t talk anymore shit after that.. he thought he had something though

Almost seems like racing back in the day was more fun then today. In other words cars making less power back then were more fun then the 600, 800, 1k hp cars today. Love the video. Budget and real world fun. My 91gt is stone stock. On3, send it. Beat it and have fun. Andrew's car really surprised me! Beautiful builds gentleman! Excellent job and so much fun on the street...👍👍
A nitrous car that works well on the street is deadly.
I've been working on mine since I bought it new in 1988 and still today. Back then your choices were limited, Trickflow was just getting started and there dual throttle body intake was intresting to say the least. I was there in the begining and have been connected to the research and development feild for almost 35 years the changes i have seen and the people I have met along the way I am truly blessed to have been part of this incredible journey. If you were a car guy back then and got to witness the transition from carburators to TBI and then EFI like I did it was epic. Even back then we new what kind of potential was possible. Thanks for letting us in your world. all should take pride in what they can accomplish. Peace brother.
What you said about the lightening and the fox is as real as it gets. I have a 03 mach that i bought with head work done and cams. I did change out the exhaust and had 4:10s put in it, but if you beat that car so be it, i didnt build it and its not gonna bother me as bad as if you beat my fox ive been wrenching on for 22 years. Im a big believer in building my own car. Thats why love this channel. Alot of people can sign thier name on a loan agreement, and thats fine, but if you beat me you havent accomplished nothing in my eyes. Even though it still sucks to lose..haha

I ran a b303 cam back in the day with gt40 heads & 1.7 crane roller rockers. Then we added 8 lb Paxton sn93 supercharger and hit with 60hp of nitrous all on a 89' LX Hatchback. Ran a best of 11.15 at 122 in the quarter on 26x10 et street . 5 speed of course. So I am very fond of the b303 cam...lol.
By the way on the 11.15 run we had a 1.78 60 foot.

love this and the fact that you mentioned anybody can go buy a brand new hellcat and beat up on everybody that doesn't make you cool at all what makes you cool is buying a pile of garbage putting $20,000 into it and proudly losing to a hellcat but putting up one hell of a fight then going home fixing your car making it better and trying again! any asshole with the deep pocketbook can buy a hellcat and pay somebody else to do the mods!

I love your approach and i love old school tricks. Old school tricks are often over looked. Ive dropped 300lbs or more out of my SN and there are a lot of people that don't realize what that does. Ive surprised more than a few people.

I have a 2014 Dodge Challenger. Yes I bought. I've also put gears in headers, Barton aftermarket shifter. I'm 62 and I do all my own work!!

Well modern cars have made it to easy to go fast. I love them too but nothing like even a 350HP 5.0 it took work to get them pushing 300hp. Still have respect for a Fox with those kind of numbers. A 500hp Fox is a beast!

That was awesome your guys cars are pretty close and I have the same outlook on the built not bought theme I’m slowly putting together a 03 gt I don’t have a whole lot of extra coin especially with everything that’s going on right now in the country but I do appreciate the content of most all your videos and they have given me some ideas and directions I might wanna go thanx brew2l hope you and all of your stay safe on and off the track or backroads

Back in the day I was the enemy , in the 90s I ran a gray T-Type I took the motor out my self and trans did not build the motor or trans but I did not have the tuner do everything , It got stolen out of my driveway a while back ... Got a lowered white 95GT now with a 347, v2 vorteck, Z303 cam , afr185s , IM fixing to pull the motor again to go with a dart 427 block , and sell the Z303 cam and v2, for a 0n three TT set up that's my goal , I don't no much abought mustangs yet ..... your vids really help out .............
