Jeff, I have a '92 GT with a 5.8 351w out of a 90's Ford Lightning. Has heads cam intake headers etc ice cold ac and hot heat. Beautiful paint everything works. I'm in Pinellas Park FL about 40 minutes from you if you're serious.

With the turbo once it is in your done, nitrous is cheaper up front but have to keep filling bottles. So depends on how much you use it will change the price over a longer period of time.

I agree BREW2L you vs Rodney krusty is my fav. But if you had slicks and he ran the 1/4 it’ll be a toss up for sure. He’s dead on in the 1/8 N/A he’s a driving fool I try to bang em like that to I’m about to drop 4.10’s with a Yukon True trac 31splines with full slicks. Id like to race his 86gt we have the same setup essentially

I think seeing 2 Foxes battling it out is much more interesting than watching all these modern cars doing highway pulls on TX2K type videos. This video felt very reminiscent of the 90's!

Good race guys, fun video. Can't wait to see you guys run it again once he gets a full bottle. It was visible that the nitrous "hit" was gone by the second run.
As someone who ran nitrous for many years, bottle pressure is everything.A lot of kits recommend about 900psi. I felt optimal pressure was more like 1200-1300 psi. 700psi on a bottle that probably had 1-2lbs of left in it, his 175 shot was probably more like an 80-100 shot. Fill 'er up and heat 'er up, and it should be a really good race if his converter cooperates. I'm sure you guys already know this, but if you don't have a bottle warmer then the best and safest way to heat the bottle up is to put the bottle in the bathtub and turn the hot water on it for about 5min. When you crack the bottle open, you'll be pegging the gauge!
Very true. The bottle was heated to 1050 before the race. I forgot to mention that. But that didn’t last very long obviously.

Just picked up a 91 LX 5.0 man and youre right about these old school cars being relevant still. I've owned mostly 4cyl cars a turbo 4cyl and other v8s and none move out like this old fox.

Great Video brother, I've been watching your videos lately and it actually got me back motivated to pick up and play with my car. Did some interior cleaning and painting today, realized my 12 year old twin boys have NEVER seen the car with the full interior in. Love what you are doing, and posting, I've got a low 11 second 88GT that's about to go ON3 turbo as well, Shooting for bottom 10s/high 9s. I have a few short vids of the car on my page. Keep the content coming, Im in florida, maybe we can Run em up if we are ever in each others neck of the wood!!

Nice runs! That cobra clone moves damn good on 9psi, and I’m sure when Andrew gets his refill and better converter and you turn it up a couple psi should be a close one! I have a turbo notch and the thing is a handful. Amazing what power adders do, really transforms the car

I tell you man now days foxes have became chevelles. When I pull up to gas pump in my 89 couple people act like I'm in a 68 chevelle. All it is is a 30 over 306 with gasket matched steel Windsor sr heads , Anderson n91 598 lift cam with tko 5 speed and 456 gears. If your car has a alarm , it will go off when I'm idling lol love the channel ! Great stuff here !

I love nitrous, I cut my teeth on nitrous, launching a nitrous car is my favorite thing in the world. That being said, turbo is more practical and easier on parts.

@@BREW2LFOXBODY You can make a 150 or 175 shot last a while but when you get into 250 or 500 shots like we were running, it's gets to be more of a headache. Replacing pistons all the time, head gaskets, multiple bottles having to be filled constantly, just took the fun out of it.

Same here Bob. Had a little coupe w) 342 ci, AFR heads, 250 shot. It was hit or miss. Stepping it down to a 200 shot made a big difference, she would hook and book. Miss that car.
@@bigdaddycool4242 I was a 125 plate fixed shot guy for a while but I got the bug and went nuts. At one time I had a 500 fogger along with a 250 plate on my Nova, Monza and my 86, I've even stacked plates, crazy stuff. I had a 175 on my daily, lol.

Yeah, the coupe was my daily. Drove it to work, and the track,lol! Even had the child seats in the back. Car was an old Highway Patrol coupe. lol thing would run 6.60s 1/8th all day.

When I was in high school I Had an ol 93LX with a T5 3.73
This was a Frankenstein engine
We started with a ol Mexican grand marquise 5.0 block stronger than the American ones because of the extra webbing on the lower valley of the block heavier but not by much.
Machine the block, but we had the stock crank balanced and knifed lol yes sir took a long time since most of the labor was free and done by friends with access to a machine shop.
But found some old junk yard forged pistons off an 89 I believe, and got and old junk yard cobra upper and lower intakes w/spacer, that we port to gasket match and polish the runners and egr delete along with the smog pump.
The heads(AFR165) w/hardened push rods and injectors(30lbs) nobrand 75mm T-body the PRO-M mass air flow sensor salvaged from a wrecked car just like most of the parts were either a hand me down or salvaged or traded parts. If I remember correctly we also installed an oil winddage mesh tray, bigger fuel pump, MSD ignition box w/ coil, but with a moded stock distributor by a buddies friend which he also build from scratch an aluminum 7qt oil pan with front and rear sump. We ended up using gears for the timing chain, the connection rods were some no name brand forged they were shot pinds.
I had a old leaking aluminium racing radiator that we repaired and welded by a buddy working for an avionics shop.
But yes it was a Frankenstein but done right we gutted most of the interior along with the rubber noise insulation crap just recarpet it and mounting some old dodge Viper front seats with a hand made tracks and mount.
The chassis was redone by us boxed weald the frame and control arms just replaced all the bushings with urethane and some make shift front and rear panhard bars.
But once everything was done, this lil LX was fast as hell NEVER had it dyno but we took it to a track once and ran a high 12 in the 1/4 just once because we got kicked out since we had no safety equipment like roll cage nore harness seatbelts nore fire extinguisher during that time I had 255 on the rear tires, but I do believe with slicks this was a 12 flat to high 11 second car.
Oh the memories of building your own car sadly the car was hit from the front and have never rebuilt it till this day at least it's still there waiting to be restored.

Yup, if he would hit that bottle with some heat I think the 1st race would been much closer, but the turbo should still pull up top. In a dig race i think the bottle gonna win though
