People don’t realize what you can do with very little money and a little common sense. Never been a Ford guy, but 80s foxbodies set up correctly have always been a handful. 👍🏻
Honestly I do as well. LS swapping one may be my next project vehicle. I had an 87 GT back in the 90s with all the bolt ons and cammed and it was Almost as fast as the 79 vette I also had at the time that had Waaaaay more done to it. Problem was everytime I raced that mustang I broke something! T5 was the first thing to go after only a month. Put a Tremec in with a new clutch. then the clutch went out two months later so I put a king cobra clutch in. Big mistake! The plastic clutch quadrant snapped so I put a bbk aluminum quadrant in. then the differential blew a month later! I had it rebuilt and sold the damn thing. Owned it for 6 months and put around $4000 into it. That was alot of cash back then! Took a huge loss on that car and it was the only Ford I ever owned but like I said...it was fun, just not very durable,LOL
@@Evilpooh these can be had for like dirt cheap find an explorer long block gt40 or gt40p heads a b cam can be had new for like $200 if you go carb you got that cost or if ya wanna stay injection you go a good intake with the explorer engine id say if you have a v8 car already for $500 You can exceed a lot of expextations with that combo and you can make some bets from there afford the nitrous and blow it up and have money to build a nice set up from winnings
Feb of 2023 here. Man oh man does your property ever look Virgin and untouched in this vid! Everything, the house, the property, the cars, yourself, you’ve all come sooo far! Congrats Nakea!
Thanks brother! It’s good to look back on those days. I was still trying to find my place in the RUclips world and was having a blast blazing new trails!
Hey Man, I love the channel. I’ve never been a foxbody guy but I certainly understand that the platform is a popular and proven one. Also, it’s nice getting a perspective from a different generation of hot rodders. Keep doing your thing man. 🤟
Awesome video brother even though it was put out months ago...👍👍👍 I'm going to throw in my old school combo that worked for me all through the 90's starting in 1992. Find you some old school TFS high port/Street Heat Will Burt Iron or Aluminum heads, Wolverine 1087 Camshaft but the B-Cam is just fine, used it and loved it, Any Intake from the Tubular GT40's to the Holley Systemax but I liked the GT40 lower ported to match the Heads and put an old school Box Upper from either Bennett Racing which I used to a Down's Ford upper, Pro M 77mm MAF, Accufab 70-75mm throttle body, 1 3/4 Long tube headers, X or H pipe, Flowmasters 😉 30lb injectors, External SX fuel pump and filter, C4 transmission but any Tremec would be fine, 3.90-4.56's gears, weight loss and some Nitrous or Boost and your in the 10's . Hell I ran a 10.56 back in '93 at Fun Ford Weekend in Ennis,Tx with this combo with of coarse your other basic bolt on like suspension, pulleys, ignition system ,stall converter. That's with a 302... Those old school Trick Flow street heat heads was and always will be the best heads for a sbf.
This dude knows whats up. Had a few very similar combos back then. Street Heats were the business too. Hard to find, even then and crazy expensive when you did. I bought an 89 LX with an Incon TT kit and it had Street Heats (the tall port caused the manifolds and turbos to hit the shock towers under full throttle and make a hellacious racket) and an E cam on it with an Anderson PMS. I had no idea how to tune it, never heard of a dyno at the time so I'd just fuck with the tables and hope for the best lol. Car ran mid 10's thru a stock T5 with a Pro 5.0 shifter and King Cobra Clutch with 3.27's on 28" tall E.T Streets.
I could not resist, BRE. I love your southern accent and the way you presented your car. I've owned three Mustangs, two foxes and a '98 Cobra and loved them all. Have a ton o' fun with your ride and take no prisoners!
My last two builds, 460, alum heads, went with dove head valve sizes. Plus some custom work. 351 Aries pistons, personal hand 2v heads(beat gt40 heads any day.) Hand Fab aluminum intake, 1:73 Harland sharp, aluminum crank girdle. Yes mean and nasty. The new owners were proud to get em
Thankyou for this video🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 . It gives me hope to continue building my foxbody instead of selling it and getting something newer/faster. Pushrod 302 for life 👍🏼
BREW2L I ran an F in one of my blower cars. Just finished up an 86 coupe 347 conversion this past year (vids on my channel)and looking for my next fox to play with. Came across your channel today for the first time. Good stuff man. I’ll be sticking around 🤙
@@BREW2LFOXBODY I was E, X until I found the difference in a comp cams XE282 which my set up was a built bottom 306 with TrickFlow Pistons, TwistedWedge stage 3 ported heads, making port Track Heat intake 30lb injectors with 70 or 75mm throttle body. Been awhile lol. ProM77 mass air made 406hp to the tires right at 6500rpm shifted 6800-6900 NA with 11.1 compression. 93 Cobra! I cut 1.43 60ft full weight 11.7's at 117 before tune with a 150 shot I ran 10.49@132mph but shifted lower on gas, 6400. Miss it and watching this video I'm going to look for another immediately. LOL. But I also put in a purchase for a 2020 GT500. I've seen the GT500 putting 837hp to the tires with a pulley, E85 tune, cat deleted. Another with the same but With ported intake full exhaust makes 945hp to the tires. Crazy power from a bolt on motor in less then a month
I had built 306 with TrickFlow Dome forged pistons, TwistedWedge Stage 3 ported heads with port matched Track Heat intake to match with Comp Cams XE282 30lb injectors, pro m 77 mass air cold air, 150 shot up or down from 50hp to 225hp jets, in a 93 Cobra with 11.1 compression. Loved it to death and soon to make a better one but lost the first to a sorry and devoice long ago and her Lexus I traded it for!! Women!!
Just old memories. Got to see a lot of Borg warners explode on the asphalt. My old car had a rear end from an 82 lx. Was 271 or higher. Top spead was bout 135 in fourth gear. Would bog out in fifth at 135 +. One day I got her going over long hill. Red lined her then double clutched it into fifth. It rose to power band and started pulling. I let out at yellow on tach. And my 225 16's started bicycling. She was getting air under them. I was drifting from white line to white line. Finally sat back down and I lived. God loves me! I would guess I was running 160 plus some. Those cars killed a lot of our generation! This story was to honor three that hit a tree in my hometown! Those days were epic though😬
Goon 88 I hate to hear that. We had a few in my home town that had the same thing happen to them. Yeah anything over 130mph was sketchy on these cars even when new. Stay safe out there and thanks for watching.
Love the video, that black GT looks like a fun street car! I have an IRS swapped fox, stock E7 headed engine with a Kenne Bell 2.2L Flowzilla and I love my car!! I've been thinking about replacing the stock cam with a F cam or adding 1.7 rr's on the exhaust side only. Thanks for the video!
DAM that one of the very Good sounding Meanest CAMMED 302 i have ever heard. Dame NICE. that's a awesome KEEPER . I also notice now after listen to u talking about the Build.. U some of ur own machine work by hand porting head's like a PRO. just i me. bet my PROTOTYPE invention would Really wake that 302 up even more. LOL.
I like the idea of budget fun. I especially like the fact that you emphasized suspension first.....I've had my '95 GTS for a looonngg time and I am finally fixing her up.. Last year was body/paint....Next is suspension....I have been doing alot of thinking ahead to plan my engine build.....Everybody says the stock bottom-end won't live long with those numbers, so how do you do it?

The one you see in my picture I bought brand new and I still own it! Anyway you are right that with very little dollars you can really make a fox body haul ass.. Back in the 80's I had a 150 shot of juice, flowmasters and a K & N and ran 12.4 @114 on Gatorbacks!! Love that its carburated....what's a good cam for 77 351 Windsor...I just bought me a little truck to build up..its a rust bucket but I have lots of ductape and zip ties
I just bought a B-303 cam with new lifters and springs for my foxbody and I was wondering if there is anything I need to do to break it in properly or just drive the car very easy and don't push it?
Old school at its best. I'm loving it. I so want a Fox Body. It is true that the 5.0 pushrods are just as good to get going from a roll. But for serious numbers at the track. Bigger gears in the rear is just another ball game.
My sons 89 lx ran a 13.01 with a B cam installed 4° advanced, gt40p heads, intake, explorer injectors, c4 trans with 3,500 stall and brake, and 3.73 gears
Robert Morton thats impressive! Most people think if your car doesn't run 9's or 10's in the 1/4 it's not fast anymore. Truth is most of these so called factory beasts don't even run in the 11's with your average driver. Thanks for watching!
I want to put a B cam in my stock 93 lx w GT40 heads and intake. Do I have to get different size pushrods with currant pedestal rockers? Or do I need to get adjustable stud mount rockers?
Beautiful Gt, I love the color combo with the red stripe. The red interior is beautiful and clean as hell. I noticed 4 lug in front and 5 in the rear, that's different.
Timothy Voight thank you it's tuxedo black with the original smoke gray that was originally the factory top color on the bottom now. I wanted something different but subtle at the time I painted the car and those colors fit the bill. My step son (Andrew) has owned the car now for about for years and will be repainting the car soon. I hope he keeps it the same color combination. Thank you for watching and taking time to comment!
Any suggestions on porting the gt-40,3 bar heads? Do's and don'ts! I'm doing the b-cam with 1.7's all supporting mods etc.Not a whole lot of info on porting the 40's, any information would be greatly appreciated!
I'm not the one that ported the heads, JERE SPEED did a quick job on them in the garage. Not typical of how he does things but it was more of a "while they were sitting here" type deal. I'll see if i can get you some info. Thanks for watching
I ported my E7te heads, never done gt40s, but porting is porting. Be careful with 1.7s and the b cam the duration of the b might give ptv clearance issues. Especially if you plan to mill the heads or deck the block in order to up compression ratio. Also 1.6 rockers will yield a better valve train geometry .
I noticed the front end is tube from the fire wall. Is that custom or a kit? I am looking to replace the fire wall forward on mine and was wondering if there is an easier way.
Lmao got a Bcam in my 93 cobra with a 347, afr185s, Holley systemax, Anderson power pipe,. Made 381/403 to the tire. Current set up is a QF 750 Black Diamond carb with a Ford racing intake. Haven't driven it in a year. Can't wait to drive it this year. Hail to the Almighty Bcam.
Brandan Howard good friends make it even more fun that's for sure. Car guys are everywhere but finding ones that share your thoughts and same passion isn't always easy. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Consider us your new friends!
I had one with a built motor full race exhaust proper suspension and tires with 423rwhp and it was a rocket lol it surprised a few newer big money cars lol
B cams, Iron Worlds or GT-40's and Extrude honed stock intakes or if you were really ballin a GT-40 intake and bottle after bottle had us mid 90's street racers getting busy!!! Love how the alphabet cams sound through flowmasters. Plenty of better combo's of course but that one is just timeless
Like your channel. Just subbed. Huge mustang fan. I'm on my 8th now. My current car is a new 2017 5.0. I just traded my 03 cobra about 6 months ago. Still miss that car. Only had 22,000 miles when I let it go
Welcome to the channel! I have thought about a newer 5.0 myself, I hope to have some video coming soon of a NASTY twin turbo 2017 GT. That was a rare Terminator you had... Not many of those left out there.
BREW2L yeah i hated to get rid of it. I just needed something that had a warranty but was still quick. The 2017 fit the bill. I've always wanted a notchback fox to mess around with. Looking into getting a dealer installed roush supercharger to keep my warranty and bump up the power a bit. Loving the new car so far though. Much different feeling than the cobra
I understand. They are great cars and after riding in my buddies TT 2017 i almost don't want to drive my 04 anymore lol. I think the Roush supercharger would be a smart move.
slick fox no need for the front bumper to be removed. Take your radiator out and remove the bolts holding the condenser in and push it back being careful of your a/c lines.
Thanks, wasnt bad for a streetcar, only ran 13 flat with shitty street tires. Got pulled over once on I95 doin 156mph in 5th at 3200rpm.. the fuzz was not happy lol
BREW2L. IS CHANGING TO A CARB BETTER THAN HAVING THE FUEL INJ. ? EVEN AFTER MARKET INT. , TB ,ETC.? LONG TUBES OR SHORTIES ,WHAT ABOUT NOZ , HOW MUCH IS TO MUCH WITH THIS PARTICULAR BUILD (FACTORY BOTTOM END)RING/PINION ?ALSO HAVE YOU EVER USED A PROGRESSIVE CONTROLER FOR THE JUICE ? ANY ANSWERS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED . SWEET MUSTANG BY THE WAY !
FAH Q ! Stay fuel injected if you can. But nothing wrong with a good carb and intake setup either. These engines start coming apart around 500 ish. Not to say they all will but that's the rule of thumb on a 302. The 8.8 ring and pinion will hold about all you can throw at it. I personally haven't used a progressive system but I know many people who have and they are good for fine tuning the shot and getting the car to work like you want. Hope this helps and thanks for watching

Robert Morton thats impressive! Most people think if your car doesn't run 9's or 10's in the 1/4 it's not fast anymore. Truth is most of these so called factory beasts don't even run in the 11's with your average driver. Thanks for watching!
I love foxbodys
I could't agree more
I want to put a B cam in my stock 93 lx w GT40 heads and intake. Do I have to get different size pushrods with currant pedestal rockers? Or do I need to get adjustable stud mount rockers?
All hail the almighty b cam.
B cam is lyfe! lol Thanks for watching
Haha I was wondering if someone remembered that thread!
I've watched this video like 10 times . I wanna pull the trigger on a project fox. But responsibilities... dam
Beautiful fox and it's setup
Ford really went nuts with red interiors on these cars.
Timothy Voight he just hasn't gotten around to changing the front to 5 lug at this time. That's coming soon I do believe.
What rocker ratio this thing running? Wanting something very similar for an old cougar
BREW2L I appreciate it!I'll figure it out,lol.
Cut down the emissions bumps in the exaust ports and trim the valve guide bosses.
Cool Guy Appreciate my man!
How much better is a bcam than a comp cam? I what help to decide which to put in my foxbody
Amazing car, sounds great!
I really like they car.
DILLY DILLY!
Those are extremely impressive numbers for that cam..great work man
E Riv agreed!
thanks guys
Wish I had ppl around me that just make fixes fast and fun like you guys do
I love your channel I know so much about a fox but I just dnt have the money but some way some how I'll get it done
Brandan Howard good friends make it even more fun that's for sure. Car guys are everywhere but finding ones that share your thoughts and same passion isn't always easy. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Consider us your new friends!
Think about foxbodys having ONLY A 302!! That's a very small V8 to produce the power they do!! SOOO FUN TO DRIVE
On the fence on getting a foxbody and building it to a 331 Stroker any idea on pricing to get it to 400rwhp? Found a 84 fox for 2000$
hell yeah boys love this video im building a bmw with a 302 explorer block gt40p heads like what you guys do good work
Awesome, that's going to be unique as hell. Thanks for watching!
thanks man its taking some time lol. thanks for making the videos
Love the red ‘72 Demon you have sitting there.
Nicholas Erwin that's JERE SPEED'S Demon. And I have to agree with you, I like that ride also.
BREW2L I have a ‘72 318 car sitting in my garage waiting to be restored once I finish my ‘67 F100.
That's a killer combo you got there. Good luck with the projects!
BREW2L thanks
I had one with a built motor full race exhaust proper suspension and tires with 423rwhp and it was a rocket lol it surprised a few newer big money cars lol
B cams, Iron Worlds or GT-40's and Extrude honed stock intakes or if you were really ballin a GT-40 intake and bottle after bottle had us mid 90's street racers getting busy!!! Love how the alphabet cams sound through flowmasters. Plenty of better combo's of course but that one is just timeless
Good video brother👍
Street car, Gt40p heads. B cam better than the E? What gear would you suggest?
Thanks, love the channel
Hans Schultz the B cam has a little more duration and I've always had good luck with them. Throw a set of 1.7 rockers on it and you'll be fine.
BREW2L Thanks
Hey Brew2l what RRs and springs are y’all running in those GT40 heads?
If you don't mind me asking, what shot was he spraying on that blk gt at the time.
100 shot
BREW2L Ok good deal, has he tried pushing more than that. I'm running a 89-90 model e7 stock set just wondering how much it'll take.
Dang what a beast ...noice!!!!!!!
I love this one!!!! BAD ASS STANG BANGING BABY!!!!!
man fords are addictive and i love how your a ford supporter. 🇺🇸 👍
julio lopez absolutely! And thanks for your support!
Like how u put that what was fast still fast is put together right 💪💪
Hey what's yours thoughts on the x cam with 351 Windsor stock bottom end gt40 heads and a little nitrous
What's the story on the blue Valiant?
Good dude I'm subscribed
Thanks 😎
awsome
I think the Roush supercharger would be a smart move.
jrvbamafan1. O. F
Peer I. R
Michael Lampton I don't speak code
What's the Trans setup about to take my t5 out and want an auto. My motor setup will be very similar
I really like the wheels on the black car. What are they called?
NTH Welding 03-04 anniversary cobra wheels
2024 , $1500 in a foxbody, 2700 stall, b or e cam, gt40 heads, and a trickflow intake , im taking scats from a dig...no catching 😂
You're wife must love all the tire marks on her driveway 😂
That cam in the white mustang sounds good I need a cam like that
93mustang shawn can't beat a big solid roller. Thanks for watching!
BREW2L well idk what your ppl solid roller cam is cut at but I have a solid roller in my mustang too but don't sound beefy like your mustang
93mustang shawn it's not as big as you might think. But it does slam pretty good.
BREW2L oh ok cool
How many miles on the red car?
eurocarman on the Cobra? 60,000 ish
How much is the b cam fox spraying?
Meldins STI 100 shot
Those are some nice foxes, i have a true appreciate for them. Mines coming along slowly, 306, 15psi lowest i’ve had it was a 9.94
Brendan Gem wow! That's moving! Stick with it and keep us updated.
BREW2L you got it! i’ll let you know if i get any better times! gotta work on my 60ft! Looking forward to more of your vids!
Reminds me of something my dad would love! 😎
Awesome intro !
Thank you 👍
would you recommend this cam even tho im running all motor stock heads? subd btw. good stuff on the channel.
Jesus Raygoza absolutely
Do you know if its hard to put a cam in a 5.0? I dont want to take the front clip off. And i have a 93 if your wondering
slick fox no need for the front bumper to be removed. Take your radiator out and remove the bolts holding the condenser in and push it back being careful of your a/c lines.
I had a 90lx with a 347 promotion 5spd yrs ago. Car was a killer. In the good ol days
Thats a nasty setup!
Thanks, wasnt bad for a streetcar, only ran 13 flat with shitty street tires. Got pulled over once on I95 doin 156mph in 5th at 3200rpm.. the fuzz was not happy lol
Future on the in credits??? Got my attention sir 👀
Hey brother, what is the tire and wheel sizes on your black gt?
I LIKE THE WAY U LAYED DOWN THE FACTS!!!! GOOD VIDEO
Kenny Chatmon I like keeping it real. Thanks for watching!
I'm running a B cam on my gt40 headed, stock trw bottom end. C&S blow thru set up on 12 lbs of boost. Carbed foxes ftw!!!
That's interesting.. How's it run? You don't see many blow through setups.
BREW2L Runs real good. Never had it at the track, nasty on the streets tho. It's in a gutted notch. Super light car, rolls out!
Ray Drewry that sounds nasty. People overlook weight so much. It's a major factor but we'll keep that in our pockets....
I love how it’s a b cam only mustang. Yet it’s got heads and nitrous.
