- We got Andrews "B cam only" (LOL) fox out for some nitrous testing and things look promising! A little more tuning is needed but the car responded good to the testing.

Back in day, a set of gears and a 125 shot did miracles with these cars.
Definitely 💯
Full exhaust, 373 or 410’s, nitrous express 100-50, gt40, 70mm, 76 mass and she’d run!
So true
@@brianbowman5262
Did you get it tuned after doing all that?
@@matthewvarnam4302 back in the late 90’s all we had really was stock ecms. We would use a wet kit off the fuel rail and spray it. Worked perfect. As long as you had the A9L mine was a 91 5spd car good to go. The older speed density fox you pretty much had to go carb they would go nuts when you’d start changing the top end. Now you can anything with Holley etc I have the terminator x max does anything you want.
What I love about the OG 5.0s is that I've seen people beat on them like they hated them but I never seen one smoking or knocking. The transmission is a different story
I had a 1995 cobra with ported heads. B cam. 175 shot. This video brought back a ton of Memories
Nitrous stick shift cars are badass hands down
We had a 150 shot on our stock long block 302 it ran 10 40s with a 5 speed in the quarter mile and a 1980 coupe went 10 60s in the quarter mile with a good converter and a c4 Trans both cars are on RUclips under grover boys racing Adam grover, bottle pressure is everything when it comes to nitrous we played around with it and ran the same time with a 100 shot as we did with the 150 shot
You saying that you ran a ET 10.40 to 10.60 on a bone stock 302 and all you did was add a 150 shot of Nitrous?????
Awesome color and wheel combo to begin with....but it's amazing how that subtle red stripe puts the look on an even higher level. 🔥
Even has red spark wires under the hood😮
Had a 87 GT with t tops black and red like this. Nice looking combo
I used to have a HCI black 92 notch with a 150 shot. That thing was quick without the spray but with it… look out!
U can never have to much happy juice.. looking good Andrew.
grew up on that setup when i was a kid in my dads car. b cam with gt40's on a dry 150. ran really strong was pretty quick light to light, i got a couple videos of it on my channel. Ran low 12's @118 with a 2.1 60' full weight. made 411 to the tire. ya'll should put that thing on a WOT switch, will hit a lot more consistently and its safer
That's awesome. I ran a 175 shot on a slushbox auto 89 GT with stock 2.73 gears for a couple summers. It had some basic bolt-ons but stock heads and cam. Car was an absolute dog off the spray. Ran great on spray though, until overdrive couldn't handle the power any more. Ran some low 14s high 13s on 100 shot. Only pass I got on the 175 shot it ran 13.2 @ 85mph, lol. I had to let off at the 1/8th because the tranny started shaking the whole car. Crazy thing was it ran 8.4 @ 88mph to the 1/8th. That was stock auto, 2.73s, street tires, only able to launch at 1500rpm and didn't spray it until around the 60ft. Gears and a TCI Street Fighter were in store for the following spring, but then I got rear-ended at a stoplight and the car was totaled.
@@branchtana315sorry about the car, just reading this is making me want to hook up some nitrous to my car. It’s an aod 90 lx gt40 setup gasket matched lower intake 70mm tb/maf with a summit b cam 2.73 gears.. would love to find out just how much of a butt dyno difference a 100 shot would make… motor has about 200k on it threw all that gt40 stuff on it about 10k miles ago
Need some dragy videos, show how good simple set ups can run .
You can let those bottles sit in some hot water to heat them up also. I would heat both my bottles in sink before I went out to play and let my warmer keep them at temp.
Its the safest way to heat up nitrous bottles. I wish people would never heat bottles with a torch👀. Its fine until it "aint" fine, then boom, explosion!
@@evilinside5984exactly you see that everywhere! Weakens the bottle then boom GRENADE !
@@evilinside5984 grudge racers still do it till this day
Love the sound change of v configuration motors when the nitrous hits. Ran a few harleys at work on the bottle 😎😎
Looks like You’ve got andrew Shifting right. That’s some old school driving😎
He’s a slow learner…. BLESS HIS HEART ❤️
We got to start somewhere lol lots of fun
I can’t let off the pedal myself when I’m racing but can miss a shift sometimes when I’m clownin. But I never lift at the track just can’t help it lol. Wish I had a brother like you
My highschool truck I named “fast times” with a stock 302 needs this little build. Then it will be doing the fast times haha
What is the nitrous jetting? Fuel pressure? Looked rich from what i could tell. Definitely need a full bottle..but she looks rowdy!
I’m not sure what his jet sizing is. It’s definitely rich but he was on 93 so we were happy with that.
I noticed he did the burnout in 1st. gear. It should be done in 2nd. gear.
Same with a C4.
Love it! I’ve got the same setup with a 75shot. Now I know it’ll take 150 for a least a few pulls. Lol. Off topic question: what size rear tires are those and how’d you make them fit? Currently running 245x17 and don’t want to risk buying too wide a tire. And advice would help. Thanks in advance.
Few pulls? Ive seen dudes run 150 shots all day long on these things, put some octane booster in there and add a window switch so you don’t spray too early and they will take a 150 shot no problem for a long time. The only time you have issues is if you spray too early with a wet kit and flood the intake, or you get detonation which can happen for several reasons that can be easily prevented.
My 91 fox has a 275/40r17 out back with a little inner fender roll grinding she fits nice
Damn I miss them Day,s. I remember when academy Foad MD the both part's of the front lot brand new 1989,s mustang,s GT , Lx , notch back, just full of them.them were the best time,s .all the colors.. just turned 50.rember like yesterday.. sweet,Rod .
I had an 89 LX. 5.0. we put in a big block 460 . Even stock it was pretty fast for what it was. Then I had a set of heads and big cam and few tricks made it easy 485hp to both rear wheels. She was a cool little lx. The big block really stressed that front end I felt it. 460 are now my fave ford engine for rebuild. Also 289-302 ect cool cars
Beautiful 460 engines. So much potential for few dollars big torque. Beautiful
Love those model stangs everybody wanted the 87 88 GTS when i was in HS put a few mods in it and get some pretty good power outta one
Ohhhh Brother she nasty!! Especially on that STUFF!! 💯 🏁👊🏾 Andrew has his hands on a good build for sure! 💯
I love the color the carbon fox is I'd just repaint it maybe add more flake or some pearl butbits a beautiful car like it is
Do you guys recommend a 75-100 shot for ported e7 heads, .512 lift cam, Cobra intake, T5z trans fox? Just for a little fun street car.
Nitrous anytime my friend
The bottom end could take double the abuse your giving it. The block will go before the bottom end ever lets loose. Ask me how i know. good looking fox
I wonder how this car 🚗 does in a 1/4 mile?
i used to have it on lots if i went past 3/4 pedal it came on
Get that boy a bottle heater for his birthday😂
We got one.. you must ain’t seent it in the video 😂🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@BREW2LFOXBODY ok ok..got me there. How about a Flame free bottle warmer..lol
Go black on the top and the blue strip in the grey on the bottom
Awesome...what timing is safe for 175 shot..
Hey Brew2l, love the content, can you send me the link to the camera that you had setup to follow you where ever you moved around in one of your videos? I looked for the video, but i couldn't find it. Any help is much appreciated, thanks!
I’ll have to look when I get home. We picked it up from Walmart honestly as an impulse buy. I think it was around 40-50 bucks maybe.
@@BREW2LFOXBODY Yessir, thank you!
Waaaayyyy back in the day i had a 91 rs camaro rs 305 tbi. Yup all its 170 hp... full bolt ons maybe 210-225 hp. All excluding cam and heads... then came the 250 wet shot... ohhh times were good when i made alot of people cry. But back then a rs. With a ton o spray. And at those years a 250 shot on a daily was almost unheard of... houston at rankin road.. i sent alot of silly mustang mommas boys home.. typical geared intake cam slow stang. Busted a couple fast one to but 80 percent of them at the time u could tell most mods they had as they idled by... ford b or e cam... they ALL used those.. gear and converter... yea boy.. money in the bank from a stock black lookin 91 rs. 1 tailpipe on 15 inch rims. Lmao..
Rankin Road!😎😎👍👍
Ol 5.0 pulling👍🏿👌🏿
Good Video Man!!
Awesome Street Car!!
Some ET Street Tires Would Be Good For The Car
Side burns BABY!!!!
Best relationship a father & son can have! Love ❤️ the car but even more that the father is right there with his son.🫡🫡🫡
That thing pulls good
Wicked Nice setup 👊🏼
Fistful of gears!
Go half maroon on that gray stang.
This was so me at 20. Fun times.
Been waitin on this one
Looked rich on one hit after fp bump couldn’t tell on others. Sounds f fantastic takes me back 1995circa. I use a standalone wideband on carb cars plugs into cig lighter. Tape it to the tach and video it. When you get black smoke like that it’s (probably) in the low 10’s you can run up in the low 12’s pretty safe, when your pulling timing…weigh bottles… get heater blanket. Excellent work
Thats how ya shift! Brings back memories lol
what size tire in the back ??? what mods to get it in there??? and why the 4 bolt in the front and 5 bolt in the back?????
She gets down !
Keep it up when that block starts to separate you're going to find out the hard way kid anything over 5 or 600 horsepower on a stock bottom and that black is going to start to split 😂😂😂
Is the tko Trans with it I'm looking for something that will take some abuse for my drift car the t5 isn't liking it
No worries, it's rocker arm 😂😂
Need me a fox body to go with my S197
Hell yea she rowdy!
Put the spray button on the steering wheel, lefty feathering button, right foot gassing, left foot clutchn, right hand shiftn. No thinkn all will come instinctively smooth. No lift, you will thank me later. Sprayn foxes since 85 🧐
Full bottle. First hit is always the best hit. Fill them once they get down to half. Please get a bottle heater. Lol.....
We have a bottle heater… you must have missed it in the video 👀🤣
@BREW2L Good point.....ah, you guys are awesome! Snow here again this morning. Living vicariously through y'all.
Thanks for the video Bmoney!
Anyone have a set of entry level heads that will be at Ford Takeover? Kids car is begging for a set.
Man what’s the name of this song? Intro song
Great Video.
I'm fixing to build a stock bottom end 302 with fully ported gt40 heads and ported lower explorer intake Anderson n41 cam 410 gear fresh aod with harden input shaft and manual valve body 3000 stall and a powerdyne supercharger on 6 pounds of boost should this setup run good
I would go with a 3800 stall custom converter. Never use an off-the-shelf converter, it's a waste of money.
@@nitroustommy3668 maybe not off the shelf but 3800 is a lot for that n41 cam even in a 302... Does it even got to 6500-7000 in a 302? In only gonna go to 6500 wether I stay 302/306 or go 347. And I'm gonna use a 3000 stall I don't see a need for more and the cams that I look at call for it as it is. What does the n41 call for?
@@KingJT80 Peek torque will be around 4,000-4,100 rpm. I would go with a 3,800 stall and shift around 6,100. HP starts to drop after 6,000
@@nitroustommy3668 I looked and they do recommend a 2800-3200 for the N41 so on a street car 3000 sounds right.
Maybe if I raced the car a lot I'd might go that high but I'd want a cam that'll pull to almost 7000 with a stall like that.
Do you know someone who runs that stall on a N41?
@@KingJT80 My cam manufacturer recommends 2500+ stall. My stall is over 4,000. I shift at 6,200. Although I do I need to tighten it up just a little bit to about 3900. I can cruise around on the street at 2000 RPM.
Is the pistons trw forged
Wonder how come no sound on the video
It looked like you guys were riding around naked for a second.
Wat size hood is that
She’s very violent
That thing needs a bias ply
Turn loose one them foxbodys. You have 2 two many bub.
Put a tire and some real suspension in that car. Team z all the way baby. Hook on the street like a monster.
She looked like she was riding good to me
Love it
Do y'all do any racing? Street racing are something. Are go to the track? I don't never see y'all racing nobody are trying to get a race..
We did most of our racing before I started the channel. We do race from time to time but not as much as we used to.
💚💚💚💚💚💚
Don’t paint the top black
Pretty slow...m.o
On ya with my stock 5.0
meh ...
The way it started, sounds like the timing is too advanced.
If it was too advanced that thing would not last running a 150 shot
Yee haww that fox likes the juice huh
Driver mod needed bad
