    The Seiko Presage Watch Collection originally released in 2010 and exclusive to Japan is now available to the international market. Inspired by the glamorous jet-set cocktail bars with slim polished markers and delicate curved hands reminiscent of a martini glass with a sleek and svelte design. Made with SEIKO's own in house automatic movement incorporating the Trimatic design using a diasock device that absorbs impact and reduces friction with a fast-winding magic lever system incorporating extremely durable and strong spron alloy materials.
    The Seiko Presage SRPB43 has a 40.5mm polished stainless steel case with boxed shaped hardlex crystal that displays a shimmering sun-ray patterned ice blue tinged white gloss finished dial. The faceted polished markers and razor sharp sword style hands with an inconspicuous date window located at 3 with slim blue extra long seconds hand adds that extra touch of elegance. Powered by caliber 4R35 with a see-through exhibition case-back displaying the movement with over-sized crown. Has 50 meter water resistance with a smooth sleek glossy black leather band with blue contrasting stitch and polished deployment clasp signed with Seiko's logo.
    The Seiko Presage Collection epitomizes mechanical precision and excellence with cool swank style.

    Seiko consistently underrates the accuracy of their movements. I have never seen a review of the 4R 35 movement that found a variation of more than 25 seconds in either direction and I have seen some examples with +/- 10 second accuracy.

      I never had it running more than 8 sec per day! Also the 6r would have made it thicker and i personaly prefer a dress watch to be thinner.

      Mine is spot on, on the wrist and it can speed up overnight by about 7 seconds 12 o’clock up. Other orientations have a similar effect either slowing or speeding up.

    Another great review Jeff. Having a 7.75" wrist, I am always happy when a watch is somewhere between 39 - 41mm. If a watch is less than 39mm I simply cannot consider as it looks like a childs watch on my wrist. That dial!!!

    • @watchyouknow
      @watchyouknow  2 года назад +1

      Yes I understand. And yes the dial is off the charts!

    I just bought this watch new for £280 or $355 …. The dial is worth that alone. I wish it had a sapphire crystal but I also wish I could fly but we can’t have everything. If I smash it I’ll just go and buy another which with a £20,000 Rolex isn’t an option for me.

    I got the 60's style special edition, which has a light blue dial and a nice spider web like pattern. It looks absolutely amazing but I completely agree on the movement. I've synchronized it with my Tissot Gentleman which is super accurate and in just 2 hours it lost 2 seconds :(

      I don’t care if it loses a minute day. If I want accuracy I’ll just use my watch that uses the atomic clock signal. 😊

    As an owner of this watch, yes it’s not a chronometer, yes it is a cheaper strap; but what you do get is an extremely nice looking watch, it easily looks really good with other more smart casual straps, and it’s size is perfect for small wrists such as mine👍👍👍 a dress watch I wear as often as possible

    This is a low budget "cocktail watch." As such it's worn at cocktail time or on formal occasions. Therefore it's totally irrelevant if the watch loses 4 or 5 seconds during such events. When the event is over, the watch goes back in the box for longer than the power reserve will last anyway, unless one is either an (1) alcoholic or (2) a socialite. I don't think Seiko made this watch specifically for alcoholics, and socialites will in almost all cases choose a finer time piece anyway.

    The Swiss have been playing with our minds for years. I've liked watches for most of my life and this watch will be about $3,000+ if it was made by some high end Swiss brand

      It's a great piece but it's not handcrafted nor is the finishing exquisite inside the watch. It is in house though!

    I dont agree about the movement. The 6r would make this watch thicker and the accuracy is not better. I have this watch and quite a few other 4r powered watches and they all run at around + or - 5 sec per day. I have seen lots of reviews of 6r powered watches the accuracy was not great on most of them compared to the 4r. The only advantage is the larger power reserve but on an automatic its not that important.
