I have this watch and it runs smooth as any expensive watch I own plus it's a bit thinner then the original..I always get compliments when I wear this out
I got the Blue Moon and Manhattan colors. It's kinda amazing how the same model (relatively speaking) could give two different feels. The Blue Moon is far more casual and fun. Manhattan though is more formal and subdued. It's fun trying to find a way to match the watches to my clothes. I'm tempted to get the OG Cocktail Time. The dial is really amazing, and as I'm building my collection, I realize I'm a sucker for really intricate patten dials. I blame my Orient Star Elegant Classic.
I was itching to get one of these and was looking for a trusted seller... and now Mark brings these to Long Island Watches.... So my fate is sealed. I only have the "easy" task of deciding between the Rose gold/ Brown and Stainless steel/Blue versions.... Great video Mark and thank you for getting these to LIW.
Both! Just kidding. But steel is much more versatile, whereas the brown looks much more unique and luxurious. Personally, I'd rather have something different and something that stands out, so I'd go with the brown. But you also have to eventually worry about the gold plating coming off. Granted people overreact about that imo. I believe how they do the plating nowadays is much more higher quality than back in the day. And even then, there are old watches that still have the plating on them. But it is something to keep in mind.
Got the blue Presage from your site today and couldn’t be happier absolutely love it! Also watched your vids and learned to resize it myself thanks man!
im a poor man who only wants to listen to the audiobook "cocktail time" by pg wodehouse and when i type the old book title into the good old youtube I' m inundated with watches
I was almost going to pull the trigger on the CitizenBX1000-57E with perpetual calendar, unique face, world time, and sapphire crystal. Now it has competition. Can you just imagine this watch without the date window? It would take it to the next level if you ask me. We're all so used to watches with date windows, but just imagine this blue beauty without it. Wish it were a tad bigger though; 42/22 is the perfect sweet spot. But the 40.5 isn't bad I guess. Leave anything smaller than this for Timex.
Also, shoutout to Seiko for reversing the date on the darker dials. Shame that the silver doesn't come with the blue hands. Doesn't make much sense to me. All that attention to detail and I think the silver hands would look better on the champagne/silver watch and the blue would look better on the all silver watch with the blue strap. I'd probably ask to buy the blue hands separately and have someone switch them lol. It'd only end up being another $60-$100, not much more than the most expensive one shown.
Marc is a decent guy. I bought my diver from him and it was perfect. Plus US warranty with no grey-market bullshit like most the sellers out of Hong Kong and Singapore sell.
Hi Marc. I bought the Brown and blue from you along with a piece for my mother. The brown is bar far the nicest face but of course the Blue is better value with the metal strap. I would like to point out the hands are polished on one side and mat on the other which makes it really easy to read in most light conditions. Also when adjusting the metal strap there is little spacers that go around the pins so don't loose them. These keep the bar tight. The accuracy was not the best over 20 seconds a day on each but after a lot of patients I got them down to +2.4 for the Brown and +5.6 for the Blue which I am now happy with. Thanks for your videos and your cheap prices with fast shipping!
That's exactly what i did, I got the white dial blue hands model and put it on a leather strap haha. Honestly, it was difficult picking a model because I love them all but I had a feeling the blue hands would look best on a leather strap.
Somebody help please, I have purchased the Seiko Presage with the blue dial. I have small wrists and have had every link removed (which can be removed, so says the dealer) it’s still a bit large. What can I do?
Kev indeed it takes some time. I am collecting watches maybe since 6-7 years and the collection is most of the times being improved or I am experiencing
Long Island Watch Do a review on the Orient Monarch black dial mechanical! No one knows about it! In my opinion, it's the best watch in existence mechanically (running +5 sec/day), quality/finishing (materials top notch/finishing [polishing] is flawless), proportions (not too big/too small), and aesthetically/design (the dial is perfectly designed for perfect legibility, seconds and minute hand reach past the seconds chapter ring to read clearly the exact second and minute! I literally can't find a single complaint with every detail of this watch, it is horological perfection! REVIEW IT! Better yet, do a mechanical comparison with other watches in your inventory!
Long Island Watch I love your mechanical engineering background and your attention to detail, I'm the same way! I love mechanics and the mechanical movement is the best it gets fusing man and machine as one in the horological world! It would be awesome to do a thorough comparison of some mechanical movement offerings at different price points. In my opinion, the Orient Monarch is simply perfection, but you may prove me wrong, as I consider you an expert and professional in this field as I am simply an enthusiast.
I was about to buy the Blue Moon at first, but the Hardlex crystal made me think about it more.. Ended up getting the SRPD42J1 with the Sapphire crystal, but man... this blue dial is just something.. may consider actually getting the Blue Moon at a later date.
I have a Seiko SARB065 Cocktail time watch which is my 2nd favourite watch I own, my favourite watch I own is a Cadisen c1032 which is an amazing automatic watch and it only loses a half a second a day, Now that is amazing time accuracy but I thought I loved the Seiko until I bought my cadisen c1032 which has a Seiko movement and month and date on the face, the cadisen c1032 is the best bang for the buck money can buy period, I don't work for cadisen but I know a gem when I see one and the cadisen c1032 performs like a $2000 watch, I bought mine from Gearbest for $70, it's a Chinese brand, don't let that put you off as I thought that when I bought it but for keeping time accuracy, it keeps better time than the Seiko SARB065 Cocktail time, ok enough said, I think this cadisen c1032 is on Parr with watches at $2000 for stable time accuracy.
Marc, thank you for putting this out. I've been waiting for the SRPB46 since its introduction at Baselworld. Seiko started calling it the Manhattan, but others are calling it the Whisky Dial. I'll be ordering mine when you get more in for stock. Again thanks. Mark
In fact there were 3 differente versions of cocktail time: Sarb065 'Cool', the one that appears in the video, Sarb066 'Dry' with an 'wave' texture, white dial and 12 and 6 in roman, and the Sarb068 with a red/brown dial and some arabic numbers (12, 6 and 9).
Absolutely gorgeous releases! Love the original Cocktail Time but the blue one on the steel bracelet really got me 😍 Definitely need to one of these =)
Great video. I have gotten the SRPB77 Pressge 40 mm and I am very happy for it but I am mot fond of the steel strap. Does anyone know where to order a leather strap for it?
It's sold exclusively for the US market. You won't find it on the Japanese website. However, with international markets you can easily find it even if you were in Japan. That's why Americans still somehow get the original Cocktail time.
Beautiful. Thinking of grabbing the brown one but that case size... It's a little too big for a dress watch in that style. I noticed Orient did the same thing with the Bambino V4. Wish they would stay in the < 40mm range... 😒
Indexes are slightly different from the Cocktail Time which actually has indexes made of two components. As far as blue hand go, I have the Sarb065 and since the beginning of ownership, about two years ago, I felt that it needed blue hands for added contrast. I tried to rectify that and ruined the hands set in the process. Luckyly I was able to source a new hands set and restore the watch, wich is now one of my favorites. I do not feel the need for blued hands, I find it is quite legible in all light conditions.
At 6:00 he says it has a "hardlex" glass.... that turns me off big time, since sapphire glass is standard for this price range atches. But I adore this beautiful Seiko. This one is special , it looks and feels very smooth and professionally manufactured. I had one in my hands. I'm very picky with watches, always find something to complain about, but this watch is very very special. Its amazing that its possible to manufacture it to such a low retail price, because it definitely feels like a $2500 watch. Even the movement is suprisingly high tech, looks surgically clean and polished inside as well (something that only Swiss manuf. does). Is this movement in-house by the way... a friend of mine said so? If you're looking for a watch and this is your budget, what are you waiting for buddy, BUY IT NOW.... you wont get anything close to this quality from other brands to this price. Outstanding job Seiko, first time in life I'm impressed by a lower price range watch (I'm a Rolex owner since decades).
Great video. I love the SRPB77 as it looks like the SDGM001, which is the Brightz with the cream dial. I wish they were a bit smaller in size still, but might consider getting one. Thanks!
this presage series is beautifull but i prefer the 6r15 movement in the sarb065 more, 4r35 is a degradation !!! i don't understand why they are the same price with the original cocktail time ???
I think most JDM shoppers are a bit more technical, while most US shoppers just care for looks more than accuracy and or movement. You see this same behavior with a lot of other manufacturers ... This is why the best Seiko watches are still JDM only sadly.
Al has got it. In Seiko's eyes, Americans are not technical at all. Just needs to look good. My customer tends to be different and more discerning, so you guys are in the minority when it comes to the shopping population of the USA.
Thanks to everyone! Yeah that sucks haha. I'd think that anyone getting a $300+ watch besides the obvious Rolex selection would know what they're talking about. Almost seems like it wouldn't be worth the effort in making two versions of watches.
I have the sarb065 and love it. I've hoped for a SS bracelet variant to come out. When the new line of Presage watches were announced, I was thrilled. The dark blue and brown ( if on a silver case) would have been day one purchases, however, the hollow end links killed the deal. 4R35 movement and hollow end links? No thanks.
I actually didn't notice the hollow end links. I see your point, but the loads of famous watches have hollow endlinks. And I'm sure I can randomly pick a 4H35 and it's more accurate than a 6R15; and vice versa. You do lose the 50 hour PR though, I get that.
Just came across your RUclips channel for the first time...excellent video review. I'm really new to getting started with a more serious view of watches as a hobby and collecting. For the last 5-or-6 years I've purchased a handful of cheaper brand watches such as (Invicta, Stuhrling, etc) and for the most part wasted my time and money. As of late I started exploring better made watches (such as Seiko ) in the 2-500 price ranges because I don't want to keep replacing watches that malfunction, fall apart or just plainly are not made well....even though I just purchased another Invicta watch to replace one that the crystal shattered when I dropped it. I did so because it was one of their models with a true Japanese movement (they say) at a very cheap price and I needed a replacement quickly ( Invicta Men's 8926OB Pro Diver Analog Japanese-Automatic Stainless Steel Watch ) But this will be the last Invicta watch I buy. I came across the Seiko Cocktail Time while viewing various watches online such as Seiko divers and Kinetic models. The CT was amazing as soon as I saw it and your RUclips video of the USA version helped tremendously to give me a better overall view of information and options about this watch. Again, great job, really enjoyed coming across your channel and have subscribed to it. Looking forward to watching more.
gorgeous watches.....thanks for the review.....can you please review SARD007, SRQ023J1 and SRQ019J1 from the presage line ? and are they available at your shop?
I"ve been literally TORN between the Cocktail (both blue and chocolate) and an Orient Bambino. Biggest issue is I have large wrist and a 40 mm watch is literally pixie on my wrist but the Bambino at 42 mm would just fit better. Damn these large wrist!
Hey i have a question ! i know you ship worldwide but here in my country , Jordan .. 1st - they open everything in mail :( 2nd- anything above 200-300 is taxed . Do you ship with private shipping companies like TnT or Aramix ? because i think this only happens when shipped to government public mail offices
As always Marc great review and stunning watches...! To be honest I have the opportunity to buy a JDM version and to be honest for quite the same price I should more than sure go for a 6R15 version even if I found the case a bit thicker than the 4R35 one. I don't say that 4R35 is a bad movement as I own some watches with that movement and it has quite the same accuracy as the 6R15, but as I said previously for quite the same price the 6R15 version is a better option.
I´m looking for a white-frost one with power reserve. It´s hard as hell to find. If I don´t find it, my second choise is goig to be the blue one. This line is wonderful.
Just bought the blue one from you guys! Are there pins and collars in the bracket or just pins? I’m going to attempt to resize it myself. I also couldn’t see any arrows from any videos
It didn't take long for some of these to sell out. When will the chocolate brown dial be back in stock? Was wanting an Alpinist but now I have a difficult choice to make!
The blue seiko is stunning.
I bought it. It is stunning indeed. Absolutely beautiful watch
I bought one for my husband. Quite pleased with myself 😊
stop, pls stop! i bought two watches in last two months. i can't afford this hobby. last one was an Orient Curator black dial.
Backmarker Vali I know what you mean... I still bought the Blue Moon though, it looks great! Can't wait for it to arrive.
LOL, sorry guys!
Waiting for my Samurai to arrive. Expected delivery date is 8/11, this coming Friday. My 4th purchased at LIW in the last four months. So addicting!!!
OMG same here!! Now I wanna purchase the whole collection... dammit! The cocktail is out of stock tho :(
My last watch was an orient sun and moon, white dial that a put a nice leather strap on
I have this watch and it runs smooth as any expensive watch I own plus it's a bit thinner then the original..I always get compliments when I wear this out
I got the Blue Moon and Manhattan colors. It's kinda amazing how the same model (relatively speaking) could give two different feels. The Blue Moon is far more casual and fun. I blame my Orient Star Elegant Classic.
The one with the brown dial is my favorite of the bunch. Really stunning combination of case, dial and band
Absolutely. Not sure I've seen a brown watch look quite so good.
Plays great with the RG plate.
On the seiko website the silver was my favorite. But after watching this video I would have to agree with you.
I own the 4r38. The open heart concept grew with me over time. I love it.
That brown is phenomenal
It sure is!
That blue is so lovely. I keep imagining it on a nice black strap.
Thank you!
I was itching to get one of these and was looking for a trusted seller... and now Mark brings these to Long Island Watches.... So my fate is sealed. I think the blue one is a winner; just not sold on the bracelets.
For me it's the blue, the rose gold on the brown one is a pvd coating I believe so.....blue!
I just pulled the trigger on the SARY217. All of these dials look incredible to me as I adore that vintage Seiko 5 look.
Got the blue Presage from your site today and couldn’t be happier absolutely love it! Also watched your vids and learned to resize it myself thanks man!
That design would look awesome with a dark green dial like the Alpinist
It would!
Perhaps a Midori cocktail inspired one. Each one is a different drink and I've seen a couple of interesting green cocktails.
boy does 2019 have some great news for you
@@stevenjackson8439 Why? Are they making a Green one?
@@JB-hr6yp there's a presage with green dial available in India
I just bought the one with the blue dial. Absolutely gorgeous. Amazing looking watch
I love how excited you get about blue dial watches! ME TOO! :) I love the blue! Thanks for a great video!
how can you not?!?!?
Haha! :)
im a poor man who only wants to listen to the audiobook "cocktail time" by pg wodehouse and when i type the old book title into the good old youtube I' m inundated with watches
Seriously , these watches are very beautiful ,some of the best looking watches one can buy .
I was almost going to pull the trigger on the CitizenBX1000-57E with perpetual calendar, unique face, world time, and sapphire crystal. Now it has competition. I'm rewatching this one while wearing my SRPB41 but the SRPB46 is just so stunning. I think that one is a when and not an if.

Wow ,,,they are coming back ,,,,,,mom gave one back in the late 60’s,,,,,going to get one
Presage dials blow me away: sunburst, guilloche, basket weave, hemp and herring bone designs are all amazing!
The brown and rose gold. Still to this day look awesome
I'll stay with the original Sarb cocktail time. Definitely perfer the smaller crown. Can't blame Seiko for trying...maybe the rootbeer.
It's cool looking.
Sweet watches. Seiko has really upped their game with these, and it's nice to see! As always a very thorough review with all the little details...
Oh Marc, what are you doing to me? I thought I'd bought all my Seikos for this year and then you show me that mocha brown SRPB46...
Sorry; guilty!
I was thinking the same that brown and rose gold really get me.
Thank you sir! Sounds great!!
Seiko presage automatic along with Rolex milgauss are my favorite models. If I was rich i would have them!
Bought it. Absolute gorgeous watch.
It sure is.
I've got one of these in my cart at Island Watch right now. Got to space out my purchases though...
I have been waiting for a review of these! Thank you.
Well I only just got them in :)
ps... than.k you for saying 'deployant'. It drives me crazy how many assistants in top watch stores insist of saying 'deployment'.
Haha. I was corrected a decade ago.
The blue dial one is crazy!
Gorgeous!
Love this watch. saw it in Japan with light blue dial , gonna buy one next trip to japan
saw this timepiece today live. it looks nicer in person than photo or video. I am researching for my next buy so this one is in high consideration
That's exactly what i did, I got the white dial blue hands model and put it on a leather strap haha. Honestly, it was difficult picking a model because I love them all but I had a feeling the blue hands would look best on a leather strap.
Brown dial is gorgeous
They all are :)
Somebody help please, I have purchased the Seiko Presage with the blue dial. I have small wrists and have had every link removed (which can be removed, so says the dealer) it’s still a bit large. What can I do?
I want that silver man!! Beautiful
Guys you won't believe I bought the "bluemoon". I enjoy every second.
I think about selling my Orient Bambino and buying one of those Presages. Phenomenal watches.
Not worth selling your old watch, just save up for the presage, it isn’t too too pricey when it’s 25% off (deals go on and off)
Kev I finally end up selling 5 watches of my collection and bought the Omega Seamaster :))
Harun S nice choice. I’m a new watch collector. Starting with a Hamilton Khaki field auto. I don’t plan on ever selling any watch though 😂
Kev indeed it takes some time. I am
collecting watches maybe since 6-7 years and the collection is most of the times being improved or I am experiencing

Nice watches!

Thanks Marc ! I really like the champagne (yellowish ) dial .. def on a leather strap ! Thanks again for another awesome vid
Thank you!
My thin wrist won't fit 40mm diameter watch.
Which are cocktail series heve smaller diameter?
shame they couldn't just put solid end-links on the bracelet for an extra $10 haha, but still really thinking of getting the blue dial
Didn't notice, but doesn't bother me.
Great comparisons and reviews! Keep it up Marc!
Thank you, appreciate it.
Marc, thank you for putting this out. I've been waiting for the SRPB46 since its introduction at Baselworld. Seiko started calling it the Manhattan, but others are calling it the Whisky Dial. I'll be ordering mine when you get more in for stock. Again thanks. Mark
You got it! Gonna have more soon.
Hi, great show I am a new member to this program and I am loving it!
Thank you!
Thanks for the lesson!
Absolutely gorgeous releases! Love the original Cocktail Time but the blue one on the steel bracelet really got me 😍
Definitely need to one of these =)
Thanks for watching!
Love your channel and the great videos! The Presage line up looks exquisite
Thank you!
Welcome!
Great video. I have gotten the SRPB77 Pressge 40 mm and I am very happy for it but I am mot fond of the steel strap. Does anyone know where to order a leather strap for it?
Can I ask why does it say made in Japan if its a USA model, Thank you for the video
It's sold exclusively for the US market. You won't find it on the Japanese website. However, with international markets you can easily find it even if you were in Japan. That's why Americans still somehow get the original Cocktail time.
Marc, will you be getting the power reserve versions down the track? And do these come with Seiko international warranty? Assuming no..
Seiko USA didn't get the PR models. Good question on the warranty; email us.
Beautiful. Thinking of grabbing the brown one but that case size... It's a little too big for a dress watch in that style. I noticed Orient did the same thing with the Bambino V4. Wish they would stay in the < 40mm range... 😒
great video marc. still waiting for the presage chronograph, when it will be available?
No word.
An excellent review ,and a good idea to show the Cocktail Time and the similar Presage side by side
Hi,how r u? Is the jubilee fit on the seiko cocktail? Do u still have any cocktail left? Do u ship to Australia? Thanks
Indexes are slightly different from the Cocktail Time which actually has indexes made of two components. Truly gorgeous watches; you have great taste.
I'd like to see the chocolate colored one with a nice quality dark green strap.

Great vid mate , it made me buy a silver / blue dial :)
Great video! I love those, especially the blue one. I was wondering if there's something smaller than 40mm from the same collection ? Thanks you!
should i buy this one or the tissot powermatic 80 pr 100 going for the black dial full steel
best video about this bunch
this presage series is beautifull but i prefer the 6r15 movement in the sarb065 more, 4r35 is a degradation !!! i don't understand why they are the same price with the original cocktail time ???
Do you mind explaining how it's worse? Curious to know. I heard something about this on Reddit as well.

Oozywolf seiko movement: -6r27: 500 - 800$ watches, 6r15: 300 - 500$ watches, 4r35: 100 - 300$, 7s26: seiko 5.
Thanks to everyone! Yeah that sucks haha. I'd think that anyone getting a $300+ watch besides the obvious Rolex selection would know what they're talking about. Almost seems like it wouldn't be worth the effort in making two versions of watches.
I just ordered one with a brown face. There are several models similar to this, so shopping around is a bit tricky. I got a hell of a deal on it.
ElDuderino502 where did you get it ? I’m looking for the brown one too
that srpb46 is beautiful

I did so because it was one of their models with a true Japanese movement (they say) at a very cheap price and I needed a replacement quickly ( Invicta Men's 8926OB Pro Diver Analog Japanese-Automatic Stainless Steel Watch )
But this will be the last Invicta watch I buy.
Thanks for stopping by!
I really like the blue. I have a feeling it will be your wrist check in an upcoming video.
LOL, you never know!
How come the srpb47j wasn't reviewed in this video?
The open heart gold and black are lust worthy. I love watching watch movements when I'm just waiting around.
Great review and I love your website.
Hi Marc! excellent review. I want to know which one you like most among them?
Blue dial!
Hello,
Can you ship a SSA359 in France?
Best regards.
You're killin me Marc! Love these. At this rate you guys need a layaway option. I'd have on on layaway at all times lol.
LOL!
it would have been really awesome to see a two-tone, non-open heart presage
Maybe in the future?
A tip for you mark . Kindly remove the buts of string you wear on your left arm or wrist ,they distract from the beautiful watches you are showing .
My kids gave them to me; it's who I am. I wear it with watches costing $10K and my watches costing $50. Those "buts of string" never come off.
You have your priorities right.
Beautiful watches. I'm holding out for the SARX033. The blue hands on eggshell white on that watch is mesmerizing .
Great piece!
gorgeous watches.....thanks for the review.....can you please review SARD007, SRQ023J1 and SRQ019J1 from the presage line ?
and are they available at your shop?
Blue dial one is stunning! I'll get one
Thank you
Has anybody swapped the crystal to sapphire? If so what's the crystal size..
I"ve been literally TORN between the Cocktail (both blue and chocolate) and an Orient Bambino. Biggest issue is I have large wrist and a 40 mm watch is literally pixie on my wrist but the Bambino at 42 mm would just fit better. Damn these large wrist!
You are a m8te Mark ! Thank you so much for this review and the wrist check !!!
Thanks for checking it out.
Hi, just wondering whether the leather strap is tapered? Thanks in advance.
Yes, I believe so.
Hey i have a question !
i know you ship worldwide but here in my country , Jordan ..
1st - they open everything in mail :(
2nd- anything above 200-300 is taxed .
Do you ship with private shipping companies like TnT or Aramix ? because i think this only happens when shipped to government public mail offices
Please email us.
I will be getting one of these but I REALLY am have a tough time deciding which one I like best! 😳 The blue, brown or the white.
Blue :)
Buy them all !
Beautiful watches.
Thanks!
I'll have to check; if you email I can look.
It didn't take long for some of these to sell out. When will the chocolate brown dial be back in stock? Was wanting an Alpinist but now I have a difficult choice to make!
We are expecting a restock this coming week.
Is the champagne dial on steel bracelet a “limited edition?” I can’t find it for sale anywhere?
All shown here are not limited.
