    Please do an episode on monitoring your audio while recording in the different apps, thanks. I don’t trust leaving it up to just watching the audio monitor.

    Lovely video mate. Nice simple easy to follow terms and nothing to convoluted 😊

      @@SmartphoneFilmmaker You might want to look at a tutorial regarding the use of graduated neutral densitiy filters too for balancing exposure, incredibly useful when used for establishing shots where you want both foreground and sky balance neutrally for grading later.

      @@theoldgitwatgames4640 I have thought about getting one of these. May have to look further into this.

    HI SM, I have just come across this video, which is extremely helpful to me, as an 84 year old man and not very technical. So I have just subscribed. Have you produced any videos which explains and shows how to use, functions like 10 bit log, LUTs etc. That would really help an old man. I am thinking of buying the full Cinema P3 Pro camera app. Would you recommend this? Many thanks Terry Davis

      Hi. I definitely didn't start out very technical at all but you'll pick it all up step by step. for sure. I do have a video showing the benefits of using 10 bit colour and a log comparison between different apps too. No video on the use of LUTs at the moment though.

      @@SmartphoneFilmmaker I really appreciate the time you have taken to answer my questions, and quickly too. It has given me confidence to try the app. Regards Terry Davis

    What about white balance when shooting indoor or when it's dark outside?

    • @SmartphoneFilmmaker
      @SmartphoneFilmmaker  Год назад

      Hmmm. Kinda depends on what colour temp the lighting is. I would start with 5600K and if it doesn't look right try auto. Warmer tungsten lighting tends to be closer to 3200K so that can work too. Night time tends to be closer to 7000k.

      Depends on how much control you want over your image. The free version will allow to film anything but without Log profiles and a few other professional level features.

    What temp would you recommend for indoor (studio lit) setup?

    Hey, have you messed with protake at all? I really like the format. Won't work with dissolve unless you have the full program but I really like the controls and how it's set up.

    • @SmartphoneFilmmaker

      I actually have a tutorial on Protake. I really liked it but despite what the settings say it can't be paired with a gimbal and there's zero customer service so I didn't feel comfortable paying for it long term. It is slick otherwise.

      @SmartphoneFilmmaker haha you know what. I think I first heard about it from your video. I get so excited about filming I just want to share 😂.
      But yes the customer service sucks, and if you're editing on Davinci Resolve you have to have the full version or it won't read the video files.
