I am 17 and Randy Skeete has been inspiring to me. I’ve been working on daily memorization for a few years now and I’m up to over 700 verses! Praise God.
Praise the Lord! May God continue to bless and give you the ability to memorize more verses!
@@FrontlineGospelSupport Thanks, you as well!
I’m very excited for you. At your age you’ll be unbelievably blessed. I started seriously memorising at the age of 57 when God showed me the value of it. I’m 64 now and I’ve memorised 1,250 verses. I wish I had started at your age.
@@christinegodfrey2040 Amen, a lot of people say they are too old to start memorizing God’s Word, but thanks for proving that wrong! That’s a good testimony.
Wow, praise God. You just inspired me. Im going to begin it today. Pls pray for me.
So funny how we can memorize a song within minutes but when it comes to Bible verses it’s a different ball game 🙈
I know right! Praise God there are good scripture songs out there to help us learn and memorize thr Word of God. Seongyosa Gospel Lyrics has several KJV scripture songs in her channel. Blessings to you!
They need to be put to a beat. LOL.
I think secular music is like poop, you know what poop smells like after a couple of sniffs.
@@MissEricaBarnes Stop lol
We’ve made up songs to thousands of verses and have memorized many books of the Bible that way. Lamentations, Zechariah, Joel, Song of Solomon, Psalms including 119, many NT books. I couldn’t do it before. Where it’s God’s will, there’s a way.
Jesus Christ is the Word of God
Lord please! help us to value your word. ❤ 🙏 I pray in Jesus name Amen

All about value, amen sir
This is very true: my kids are able to memorize a whole chapter after a week of constant daily repetition . May God strengthen us to value His Word

Same, and I’m 63. Sometimes age shows us what really matters.

Wow.. just wow
In June I'll be 67, and I read the Bible everyday, but I haven't memorized anything, except the Lord's prayer and most of the 23rd Psalm. I think it's partly because I have A.D.D. but mostly because of laziness.
powerful, thank you!
Thank you pastor
Thank you!!!!
All i can say is Amen!
Amen indeed! Thank you for yout support! Blessings to you!
Yes, we need to repeat again and again. My technique is to type them also again and again everyday. Don't just memorize the verses think about its meaning and pray about it. Talk to God about it.
Amen! I noticed that when the verse speaks to me personally, it becomes more meaningful and easier to remember. Especially when I'm going through something and a verse is there to claim. Blessings to you!
Yes this !!!! I was doing a challenge with a group from my church to memorize one scripture a week. I started just reading it daily. Breaking it down then one day I said “in elementary school we had to write our spelling words 5x each. I’m going to try that. I did and after I wrote it 5xs I knew it!

Loved, loved this video. It's the truth. Tried it and it works like magic.
True, i've recited it everyday after praying and divided it into 3, morning, afternoon and evening..so far i've memorized 258 verses by heart. Praise the Lord for giving me the wisdom to memorize all of it and to God be the glory always!
That is amazing! God truly blessed your perseverance. May you continue to memorize more verses. Blessings to you!

Praise God! Amidst the confusion and clamor of this world, God's word is a refuge and source of strength and peace. May God richly bless you today!
Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Said it all say no more

BOOM💥
I have found that writing out verses by hand in a notebook, then reading them each day makes it easy to remember multiple verses. I also make a point of reading a chapter on first getting up in the morning. Currently reading through the entire OT.
My husband and I are also reading a chapter every morning. We've gone through the entire Bible already and now we're starting all over again. Every time, we still learn something new. Blessings to you!
I have memorized psalms 23, 27, 91, 121, 118 and isaiah 43. I recite them daily morning, noon time and evening until they have been written in my heart. In my dreams psalms 23 and 91 have manifested severally. My soul has been carried by an angel before I could fall hit the ground and he has laid me severally on green pastures besides still waters!
I love Psalm 23 and 91! I memorized Psalm 23 when I was a kid. And Psalm 91 through a scripture song .
Blessings to you sister!
Amen.This is great
Shortest yet the most impactful video I've seen!👌 If you value something you make time for it, no excuses.
Isn't it true to everything else? To what we spend our time the most is what we value the most.
None at all.

very good lesson. Thank you
Praise the Lord! Blessings to you!
Thank you. Practice makes perfect.
Help me Lord, I really value your word.
True, to value the scripture adds value to life.
Amen brother Randy!!!
Pascal said that we are more convinced by habit than by reason. How many people reason out that the sun will rise tomorrow? Yet it does, and we know this by habit. Thanks for this word!
Great thought! We are creatures of habit, they say.
AMEN PASTOR.
Nothing but the truth here! We make time for things we value most. Good word brother!
I make flashcards for my self and I keep repeating them. It's true repetition is the key.
Me too! I have index cards with my favorite verses. Also, scripture songs help a lot.
Thank you. I thought there was something wrong with me for failing to memorise scripture I now see that I was doing it all wrong. I will value and make it a regular schedule to memorise.
Memorizing is fine......knowing what it says and taking it to heart is another thing.
I agree! Memorizing is useless if we don't obey the the Word. Blessings to you!

Thank you for this educational video. I have a hard time memorizing scriptures and where they are. Then again I’m 71. But with God, I can do all thing Who strengthens me. Don’t know where that is at though 🤔
Blrssings to you! I believe God will bless your efforts. The Holy Spirit will cause you to remember the verses, it may not be word for word, but the meaning of the verse. You'll be able to recall them when you need them the most!
Philippians 4:13
We commit ourselves to the things we value 🙌🏾🙏🏾.
Love this!!! Short and str8 to the point..you gotta VALUE IT!!
Thank you for this, I'm definitely going to put it into practice 🙏
Praise God for that! God will surely bless you!
In addition to repetition, what helps me is to know the context of the whole book, i.e. who it's written by/for, what the author was trying to convey, and how the "story" of the text is structured. For example, if I know why Paul wrote to the Romans and the issues he addressed, and how he made his case/set up his arguments then I remember where about in the text he speaks about specific things.
...Okay typing it out like this probably makes it sound much harder than it is, but I promise it's helpful 😅 I'm a Philosophy major so that's probably why following the logic of the text helps me remember it.
I agree with you! It is not just memorizing the verse word for word that matters. But what it means to you and your present situation. We can memorize verses but it they don't mean anything to us...we won't use them and forget about them. The verses that I cannot forget are the ones that spoke to me in times of need.
The word of God is so powerful, God pls Help me to value your Mighty Word.
Amen! Powerful and life-giving. It is the source of strength and power. Blessings to you!

The lord has blessed you
Very common to take the things The Flash and try to apply to the word of God which is in spirit. Why millions and millions of people read the Bible but not able to quote or to know scripture. Primary is that people do not know how to memorize scripture which is just repeating over and over. This is exactly what variants of Christians do, but to retain knowledge of the word of the Lord. The word have to be internalized in your spirit so that you can give birth to the word which is when you speak it will come forth out of your mouth from the heart.
you have come with the answer to my question i asked you one time months past. i pray that God will help me memorize as much as possible for His glory. Thank you
Praise the Lord! May God continue to bless and give you the ability to remember His words.
Thank you. I am elderly, and I am trying to remember Scripture, but its not happening, whar you say majes perfect sense. I will start spending more time as of tomorrow repeating. God bless you.
Take courage sister! Even if you don't remember word for word, it's ok. The Holy Spirit will cause you to remember them when you need them the most. Blessings to you!
🥰🥰 that's one thing that amazed me about you Pastor , please pray for me in this area , I know a lot of Bible verses and they comes to me when ever I need most of the time , but to say the exact scripture and verse I really need to do better 😭 🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️
Great video, Pastor Skeete!
I'm not sure if knowing popular music is the same as knowing the Bible. Popular music is created in such a way that it bypasses the frontal lobe. Hence, whether you value it or not, a few hears is enough for the "earworm" to lodge in your brain and never leave. The Bible appeals to our thoughts and our reason, so it takes much more of a concerted effort to memorize the Bible. All that being said, I completely agree that we ought to cherish God's Word as it is our guide to the successful navigation of this dark and treacherous world.
Amen, I value the word alot because it is Lord Jesus and we are instructed in Joshua 1:8.
Amen. By repeating especially using audio and text versions we have managed to memorise several entire books of the Bible . It is actually possible through repeatation and dedication.
Yes! I believe it is possible through the Holy Spirit who is helping us remember
Ĺ
Yes that's true that's why most people can recite psalms 23.
I WILL SHARE THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO MEMORIZE SCRIPTURE - COVER YOUR WALLS WITH SCRIPTURES AND THE REFERENCES AND EVERY TIME YOU COME HOME FROM WORK OR EVERY TIME YOU WAKE UP YOU AUTOMATICALLY READ THEM AND YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS ACCEPTS THEM. I LIVED BY MYSELF IN A SMALL CARAVAN FOR 2 YEARS AND I FILLED THE WALLS WITH SCRIPTURES. NOW 2 YEARS LATER I CAN STILL MEMORIZE THEM. 👍🙏✝️✌
That is a wonderful idea! An author once wrote that we should surrounf ourselves with the wors of God.
@@FrontlineGospelSupport Oh yes it really works! I simply wrote them on plain paper with a permanent marker and I must have had about 50 to 100 scriptures stuck to my walls with tape hahah. A rustic approach but very effective! I started with classic well known scriptures like 2 TIMOTHY 1:7, 1 JOHN 1:7, PSALMS 91, JOHN 3:16, PSALM 23....✝️🙏👍
Value... you will pay the price if you see the prize!
Best part at the end 👏👏👏👏...it's not magical....
Awesome video, glad this was on my recommended page.
As a musician, I value what Ps Randy Skeete has said about the value of studying God's Words each day. Repetition , Repetition,Repetition!
We see it among musicians who play solo pieces from memory, and if they can do it as musicians, then we should be able to repeat the Scriptures from memory!
When learning a song to sing from memory, I write out the words on A2 sheets of paper; then I keep reading the words. At the end of the day I know all the words as a photographic picture has been recorded. I am applying the same technique of repetition in memorizing God's Words.
That is a great idea! Discipline is what we need. Thank you for your input!
But we're not even called to memorize scriptures but to have them into our spirit so that the Holy Spirit can bring them to our memory in prayer and when teaching (the Bible says that's Holy Spirit's job). We are to read the word with the Holy Spirit and continue to engage Him, the goal is not to memorize scriptures but to have them written on the walls of our heart... But it's OK if people wanna dwell in that realm, just that we are called higher than that. Shalom all, remember, we are the Kingdom, we are the Church, live this day as though it were your last and stay in God, meditate on the Word of God and the Holy Spirit will make it one with your Spirit. Blessings❤️
I agree that we have to have the word of God in our hearts. I don't think it is wrong to have them in our minds. Jesus Himself quoted scriptures by memory whenever He preaches. When we have God's words in our heart, we can easily remember it. For example, John 3:16 is all significant to every Christian, because they've experienced the love and salvation and lookinh forward to the promise of eternal life. Even if you don't intend to, there is no way you cannot memorize that verse.😊
I totally agree with you that the Holy Spirit will help us remember them.
Blrssings to you!
Amen
💯✅Repetition deepens Impression😊
I agree! Soon it becomes as normal as singing abc's.

Value and constant practice. That's the key, wow!
I joined the Messianic synagogue years back. Prayers in the service are all sung. In Hebrew. It's transliterated up onto the wall. And it follows the same tune every week. After a short period of time of just attending service and learning the music you can hum to the prayer. And little by little you start learning the words. I have gotten to where I can now sing the prayers with the congregation without looking most of the time. It's a practice makes perfect thing.
Yes, repitition and consistency in the key! Blessings to you!
Yes indeed you most practice value for value to be value for you can activate value and value can be value to you for you can apply it and do it, because you place value in that particular value so do it with ease.
Hear the word
Read the word
Study the word
Meditate on the word
Memorize the word
And OBEY and word 😊
@@FrontlineGospelSupport YES most importantly

May God continue to bless you pastor Randy for your Words of encouragement on how we should value and memorize the word of God.
Please how can I learn to Value God's word..
I love reading God's word.. I sincerely do. But truly speaking, I've lately not been looking into God's word.
Sin has cripped in... But I truly don't know what to do....
Ptr. Skeete has another short video about how to get the Word of God into our "cellular" level. You can find it in the channel. The title is, "How to Get the Word into Cellular Level." Blessings to you, my brother!
It's simple. All you have to do is just make a decision to read, say, a chapter a day. I do that most mornings before doing anything else. It's a good way to start the day. If you happen to miss a day, don't beat yourself up about it. Just resume the next day. I started with the New Testament (took a year or so). I am now halfway through the OT.
AMEN.....We should value the Word
Amen and amen! Praise God for the power of His word
I stop traffic, love it!
True. We don't value the word. So true. It's not magical
1 thing u left out is asking the Holy Spirit 2 give u wisdom of God's word James 1:5 says if any man lacks wisdom let him ask God who gives to all men and upbraidedeth not , I tell Christian's the key 2 knowing the scriptures is asking the Holy Spirit 4 understanding God's word
I couldn't agree more! That's the key...thr Holy Spirit giving us wisdom. People can read and memorize the whole Bible and still wouldn't understand it.
@@FrontlineGospelSupport amen 1Corinthians 2 says for the natural cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God , neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned
‘Right thoughts and right actions become habitual’
KJV helps me with remembering scripture naturally. I think it is the unusual word order and the cadence of the verses, not to mention the old style wording. Also I noticed that my ministers started having problems remembering scripture they had quoted all their lives from the KJV when they started mixing the different versions in. It messes me up as well to do that. I will read the original living Bible translation occasionally for clarity but mostly stick with KJV.
I agree with you on that. I think many different translations greatly dilute the strength and power of the word.
This is what my husband said about using differeny version of the Bible. It makes it difficult to memorize the. A lot of people says KJV is hard to understand. In my experience, once you stick to it and read it everyday, it becomes easier...especially with the help of the Holy Spirit. Blessings to you!
We learned that years ago memorized while chapters
The main thing we need to focus on is having God's knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of His word. Not just simply memorizing scriptures. There is a lot of people that have scriptures memorized, and even know where the scriptures are located. But they lean to their own understanding of what they have read and/or memorized. It don't do us any good to simply be able to recite a Bible verse, but don't have a clue as to what we just read or what have you. I pray each and everyone of us grow in strength, wisdom, love, and understanding from the Lord in Jesus name. Amen and Amen and Amen and Amen.
Amen my dear sister in Christ! You are on point! That should be the goal why we memorize thr scripture...to have it in our hearts so that it can be our guide and strength in times of need.
Memorizing scriptures will not save anyone. Only if you obey Christ Jesus, you will be saved! Matthew 5:29-30, Matthew 7:13-23.
I agree! Nevertheless it is still beneficial to have them in our hearts and minds. It can help us in times of need and temptation ..because the words of God are spirit and life. John 6:63, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
Blessings to you!
That's my method of memorizing verses or chapters of the Bible, too, repetition. I memorized 12 or 13 chapters plus some more passages and verses.
I wanted to memorize the whole book of Hebrews but I kinda stuck at 5 chapters. I'm 56.
Wow! Praise God! He surely blessed you with a good memory.
“We don’t value the Word of God!” There it is. It’s astounding how many professing Christians don’t even crack open the Book.
It is very sad. The word of God is our only surw defense against temptation and deceptions.
Ahhh we were born with our name durrr & an address is not something we need to learn, I value the word, so the lord gives me scriptures when I ministering the word threw the power of the Precious Holy Spirit.
