Daily! See psalm 1:1-3
1. Start memorizing scripture, while you are young.
2. Start with the Bible verses that are the most important for you right now in your life.
3. Make a point to repeat and remember Bible verses that are short and easy to remember.
4. Break the verses down to understand it.
5. Write down all the first letters of all the words from the verse you want to remember.

I thank God for my parents, especially my dad for his devotion to the word of God. All he had to read was the inspired word over and over again. We could hear him praying in the evening for those he loved. He expounded the word to us at an early age, from the cradle into adulthood. We were always aware that we had to be born again and he engrained in us that it was a personal commitment. When ever he preached he held his Bible in his hand, reciting portions of scripture related to his sermon and where to find it. We knew his God came first, then his wife and children. Today family members are turning to the Lord for salvation.
I can say the same about my parents, except my dad isn't officially a pastor, but he loves to share the gospel whenever he can. My mom, too. 😊

I am 66 and I pray and pray for understanding. I try to memorize verses . I pray for GOD to help me.
Do it one line at a time.
Repeat that line over any period of time required for you to memorize it.
Keep your sword on you or close to you.
The sword is the word of God (ephesians 6. it's just after the helmet of salvation).
I use post it Notes and put the verses in my kitchen and my bathroom. I'm 65 and it's really hard for me too. God be with us and bless us for our efforts 🙏💖
Don't worry about memorizing the Bible verses. Study it passionately, through the HOLY SPIRIT. By doing so, it'll be written in your heart. I don't have a great memory but when the HOLY SPIRIT kicks in, oh man, it remembers a lot. Don't let anyone bring you down and plant seeds like those in your head. Some people are good with memorizing and some aren't, but when it comes to the HOLY SPIRIT, it'll do the work when it's needed.

I was so very rich indeed to have a preaching father and a teaching mother who both loved reading God's Word. Mom would teach me scripture at a young age. Now I'm a senior citizen and can still remember those precious verses.

Psalm 139:4 - Even before the word is on my tongue behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.
God wants us to SPEAK to Him. He wants our attention. He knows what we want but we need to engage with Him through our words, be it in our mind or orally, but He receives great joy when we focus our attention on Him.
I see it like this, a father knows that his child loves him but how much sweeter is it not for him to hear his child say to him that he/she loves him? We need to actively engage instead of assuming that he/she might know it, because it strengthens the bond.
I pray that whoever comes across this video, that God will hear your prayers and answer them.

Always had a problem with memorizing. Ever since I was a Kid. Thats why I wasnt great at school when IT comes to Academic stuff...
But at least when IT comes to Bible. Tips 3 & 5 helps me and god seeks your heart not how Many verses you remember.

The way I found that's really easy for me to memorize scripture is through songs I start singing the songs and then I memorized the scripture but God writes his word in our hearts I know this because I watched a video of a woman who had Alzheimer's they asked her a bunch of questions she couldn't answer but when they asked her who Jesus was she came right out with it he's my Lord and Savior and he lives in my heart it's like a pastor once told me you could tell me something in 10 minutes later I'll forget about it put the word of God is sharp it leads me to believe that God writes it on our hearts and we won't forget it

*HOLY* 🕊 *SPIRIT* gives me a certain tingling feeling....that can't be mistaken!

Best thing I ever did for memorizing scripture was to listen to Scripture memory songs by Integrity music. The music, playing and vocals are great . It came out in the 90’s and is available on streaming platforms like Spotify

I memorized information in school that I no longer remember...AT ALL. Instead of memorizing scripture and then forgetting it later, we should learn the scripture. Apply it to your life and use it as it is intended . Memorization is temporary but when you learn something, you don't forget.

I can remember verses I remembered over 50 years ago. I can't hold a single _new_ verse in my head for more than a few hours. Could be age, could be the stroke, but it's no less disappointing.

I need people I can talk with and study the Holy Word with to protect myself against the adversary strikes. To get closer to God. To have a deeper, closer relationship with the Father. I didn't have that growing up.

I have memorized many portions of the Scriptures which I used to think and pray and one of the best way to memorized it to do it by Topic and you have to used repetions to retain it on your memory. Memorized the Lord's Prayer and then used it to bring in everything....The name of God. The Kingdom of God. The will of God. The forgiveness of God. The Temptations.. The evil one. The glory,the honor,the power. And you can alse used the Sumury of the Laws ...Love God with all your heart....all your sould...all your mind...all your strength (your bady) ....all your time...all your wealth....and your neigthbor as your selft,and then bring everything in.
I wish someone would have told me this when I first began my walk in the 90s. Playing catch up now
