  • Amazon have now put adverts into their Prime Video app which you have to pay an extra £2.99 to remove them. But not only that, they have also removed Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos. Users are also noticing issues with the app since this change.

This is why I still buy films on dvd and blu ray... Amazon will charge you £2.99 to stream a back catalogue title, which you can litterally buy from cex for 99p with no restrictions on sound and picture quality....

There's a lawsuit against Amazon and Prime video for the extra cost when you already paid for a year up front. The lawsuit is from a guy in California.

  • @MegaNonkie

Never mind hitting the customers, Amazon need to pay their taxes.

  • @macca9320

They've also put the price up on Ring doorbell plans from £3.50 to £4.99 a month. Soon as my subscription finishes on all my amazon products i am done with them. I was happy to play £7.99 for prime delivery and £3.50 for my ring plan but they have taken the absolute piston ring by basically making me pay half more a month with no extra benefits. They can sod off.

My boss asked me why i only get sick on workdays,

  • @incrediblez394

These companies are getting greedy and in the end it will cost them when subscribers decide to drop them.

  • @FallHammer2012

Pure Greed. I kicked all the streaming apps to the curb. Outside antenna and kodi is the only way to go.

  • @ApolloT-vp5dn

The cheaper pricing for streaming was never going to last. It was a loss leader to capture the TV market from companies like Sky and physical films.

  • @Stokie316

It is greedy of Amazon in my opinion. I usually buy a year of Amazon Prime. However, once it expires, I think I'll just buy the odd month here and there... whenever it is convenient for me. I'll save myself £50-£60 a year I reckon.

  • @rogerbradbury9713

I left a month ago, because so much of the offered films and shows meant having adverts, or paying a bit more every month. I also grew sick of searching through the rubbish just to find something half decent to watch. Had I still been a member, I would certainly have left when the adverts started.

My wife complains i don't buy her flowers,

My friend asked asked me to pick him up 6 cans of sprite on my way round,

  • @rickbear7249

Personally, I switch my monthly subscriptions between the various streaming service providers. As such, I have noticed that Amazon have increased the number of films that require an additional subscription - on top of the basic increases for PRIME - with the result that my own Amazon Prime subscriptions are now fewer and further between. Amazon truly are the world's No.1 experts at shooting themselves in the foot 😂 !

The capitalism model for corporations traded on stock exchanges requires these companies to not only increase their profits each quarter, but increase at an accelerating rate each quarter. This is possible in large growth sectors, but once you have reached all potential consumers, there's only one way to accelerate profits each quarter - increase prices. This is fine, as consumers will generally reach a point where they will no longer pay for services once they their value is less than their cost. The problem we face in the US is that there are a very few, very large corporations that control the vast majority of every market segment. This even would be OK as long as the large corporations compete with each other, but we have seen over and over that rather than compete, they conspire with each other to all set prices higher, and leave no options for consumers. Of course this is illegal in the US, but since all of our politicians all receive millions from these same corporations each year, the government refuses to do their job, and punish these effective monopolies. It's time to take big money out of politics, and we'll have to remove all current politicians in order to do it.

  • @Drewtheelder

I pay annually so if the service and quality deteriorate and include ads it's either pay up or dump Amazon when it's renewal time in the autumn.

  • @natrelacoustix

Don't actually use the Amazon service, so this doesn't effect me. One thing I would say though... The abhorrent profit made by Amazon (And personally by Bezos) is disgusting in the face of what most people are dealing with. If you're struggling with heat and power payments too, then an extra £3 is significant. There is no physical product here, no upgrade or equipment that requires further outlay from the company. Just profiteering and by a company that hasn't just 'maintained' profit, it's exceeded it's own and everyone else's expectations. Like British gas.

Hey Adam yet another great video! Everything you touch these days has either gone way in price or not as good as it used to be or both ! That's bullshit that a company as big as Amazon would do this crap with what all of us have spent with this company!! This may sound cliche but somebody please BRING BACK THE GOOD OLD DAYS!!! Great job Adam and thanks for doing what you're doing!!

  • @timwindsor03

Dumped AMAZON 6 yrs ago. Thanks for sharing. Awesome video. Thanks for the info. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love and RESPECT brother

  • @exceloutkasts8104

As is the common trend in life now, you have to pay more for what you were getting before or paying more to get less.

  • @wingman-1977

They are pulling a Discovery/Warner bros. Don’t be surprised that they remove the 4K feature from the ad version too.
