So far every review I've seen complains of stutters/performance issues. Was wondering if this game had the same stuttering/performance issues as POE2 because they both use Unity and to my no surprise it does.
Do you pick up companions throughout the duration of the game, or do you get them all relatively quickly. It does feel difficult to switch over to new companions that you get halfway through games when I've already invested in ones I got early on.
Am I wrong or does it looks closer to Divinity OS2 then baldur's gate? I mean, coop feature, pregen characters, graphical design, everything on fire or smoke.

NO. The RPG elements of Wasteland and Classic Fallout were supported by the fact that you had to turn points into combat skills to be hit by attacks, in other words, turn-based. Classic Fallout's RP was great because the player chose whether to put their limited points into combat or into persuasion, which might result in a character with a valve, but who could never win in combat. Its a solid RPG. But what i really dont like about this, and any game that does it in a similar way, are the level based weapons. Once you have fully equiped your rifle its outdated. This is so annoying. Fallout makes weapon crafting so much better from a systemic pov. Where you can keep a rifle basically the whole game, improve it, change it. And the damage it does is based on character level. In WL3 they could have easily combined it with the specific weapon skills, which are kinda underwhelming with that little of acuracy buff they provide. This level bs makes especially no sense in this setting, where you have to hold on your ressources and not have a new gun for every mission and throw away the old stuff. Also the barter system is not based on any logic that makes sense to me. The game provides just too much ressources so its kinda like the devs made trading so unprofitabel to you that everything feels kinda scarce. But its the opposite, after some missions you can have easily 5 to 10 of the same weapons, and you must be very carefull buying them from a trader bacause trading is just unfair because this barter bonus only counts for your sales and even if oyu are on max level you only get like 10% of the worth of each item. You might say its not the focus of the game, but then i ask why i get bothered to sort out this inventory after each encounter to get the best out of what the world provides? Trading and crafting just suck in this game. And its a shame because they actually have everything that could make it really cool.
I wonder, if Wasteland 3 is actually an RPG similar to Fallouts. Wasteland2, while a good game, was quite poor in that regard- as you were mostly 'on rails'. You could choose what to say, but that did not affect the end result much, which is similar to Dragon Age, not Fallout 1-2. It was there only like a soap drama with several ways to achieve the same result- and not a true RPG what would let you choose your own result. Also, Wasteland 2 had a lot of what I call 'magic', which does not fit very well in a reality based world: guns that scale 10x in damage for no reason, head traumas/broken bones that heal in 5 minutes, magic tokens that increase how much water you can carry, etc.
@mcchickenz In most games, at least you use some healing solution. In Wasteland2- you just wait 5 minutes to heal a fracture. As for the guns- it really does not make sense that weapons shoot the same ammo, but one does many times more (not just, say, 10-50% more) damage, while in reality- you know those guns are similar. So it was just lazy balancing.
@mcchickenz WTF are you talking yourself? That is not how guns are balanced in Fallout1/2. You can get maybe 2x-3x damage per bullet from a later game gun, but not a crazy range like in Wasteland2: 7-12 for initial M1 5.56 assault rifle, and 70-85 for late game AUG (that is ~8x damage). Or even better: 12 gauge pump shotgun: 9-14 damage, Jackhammer: 168-182 - which is 30x damage. So don't be stupid, as much as you can.
finally got around to playing it and honestly the biggest issue i have is combat. the fact that its so similar to XCOM is a massive problem since XCOM is incredibly basic and at times very shallow. the fun of XCOM is the almost Roguelike nature of it even though there is very little in terms of options when it comes to what you are able to do. games like OG Fallout and Underrail and even other turn based rpgs like DOS2 have so much you can do by comparison that when i play Wasteland3 i just feel so restricted.
It would be really nice to be able to watch a review of a game and not have it ruined by spoiling the game. This is stuff a person wanting to know if the game is worth buying wouldn't want ruined before they have a chance to play said game. WARNING.....to any one like me who hasn't played the game yet and was just wanting a review on if it was worth buying, skip this video.

As long as the game doesn't have us walk for 15 mins to get to from one end of the map to the other, it can only be better than W2.

Can you remove these White circles from below the characters feet?
I like the intro.
Wasteland 3 focuses more on stories and action not the survival aspects.
If you like rpg's and are even slightly interested in this game i say go for it, you will love it probably
Gud review. Too many spoilers regarding the story though
95% chance to hit and still misses...
finally got around to playing it and honestly the biggest issue i have is combat. the fact that its so similar to XCOM is a massive problem since XCOM is incredibly basic and at times very shallow. the fun of XCOM is the almost Roguelike nature of it even though there is very little in terms of options when it comes to what you are able to do. games like OG Fallout and Underrail and even other turn based rpgs like DOS2 have so much you can do by comparison that when i play Wasteland3 i just feel so restricted.
I don't think the reviewer knows that Fallout is inspired by wasteland.
I saw a character from wasteland 2 I guess he's the one who survived 😜
Scotchmo?
@@candogan3757 yes haha
I expected more.
why will you expect more ?
You haven't even played it lol
The older I get, the more I find myself despising games that waste the precious little free time I have.
Stuff like wasting my time in Menus is just unacceptable in this day and age.
You forgot that you can play this game with the Xbox Game Pass for PC . So people can basacly pay 1 Euro to play this game for 1 month . Pricepoint should be 10 out of 10 .
$59.99US = $81.46AUS. Steam price $89.99AUS. Not such a good price. Will wait for reduction & patches & mods.
I am playing it with game pass.
And this is free on the xbox gamepass
Yes please
Oh? I guess I have no excuse but to play it now instead of wait for updates (and thus, presumably, a cheaper price).
Crashes frequently for me on the Xbox one that with the long load times has me reluctant to play it. Put in 30 minutes of gameplay to than crash take about another 5 to load in to replay the last 30 minutes. Glad it is on game pass it's fun and engaging but the performance needs to be addressed. I'll give it a shot when it has seen improvement
@@notsoracistraspberry4168 really I'm yet too crash and yeah loading times are not great 😒
@@menaceiwill1 it seems to happen mostly with the equipment vendor downtown. Also a few audio visual bugs like my character constantly getting in cover when they get there I can shrug that off though. Also are you on an Xbox one x or regular s
@@notsoracistraspberry4168 I'm on the xbox slim.
Amazing Game, BUT, man is it buggy 😞

Who is disliking this video/review?
Great review combat does look iffy maybe I should try kingmaker instead?
Spoiler city. dafaq?
Should I play wasteland 2 or just skip it and play wasteland 3.
I have one more problem with this game and that is recruitment of the companions. Some companions are way to far in the game to be recruited like Pizepi Joren she have nerd stuff skill what u need from the start of the game go with out it and get after u recruited her after aspen lvl around 12-14 is bad because u will miss lot's of the things and option or have 2 characters with this same skill is useless. To bad that this part of the game is not good in general companions are very bad with poor build and they come late in the game.
The UI and interface becomes tedious very quickly... on PC Mouse and Keyboard. I stopped right there immediately and dropped the idea of buying this on the PS4.
The UI is fine... Couldnt touch it with a controller though
K G Ubisoft’s love for mouse cursors in their console releases is what made me hate that control scheme so much. I feel you man
@@Digitalcanvas77 Yeah man, its defo more of PC game..
@Burgie Yep agreed
I played wasteland 2 on integrated graphics (uhd 620 - i5 10th gen)
Will this game run on integrated graphics at all ?
.
(don't tell me to use can I run it website, it tells you integrated graphics can run no game at all which is BS)
I'm not sure tbh.
