I didn't care about the collector's edition (I think it looks kinda silly) but BOY did Lance's voice coming out of that thing hit so hard

Letters from civilians is actually a pretty cute idea
its a nice little way to build up the stakes too. this is the kind of small little thing that should be in game imo.
Not going to self promote here but I did something when I was marketing my first book; I showed drawings that different generations drew - the young kids drew the main aliens as cool (crayons), the young teenagers drew them as scary (pencil) and the older teenagers drew them in humiliating poses (digital drawing software) - showing how attitudes changed as they learnt more and more about this alien race.
I would have just kept not finding Cayde and watched chat implode.

While he was messing with the tower, I kept wondering how many thousands of times people have jumped off of it in the early days of D1. Used to see waves of people jumping off, respawning, and rejumping
They still do it in D1
That was so much fun to do. I don't know why it was so satisfying.

The book where Edio dives into the Witness & it's origins is soo good, & as neat as the og Tower replica is I would've loved a Witness statue/figure more
if it was the witness i would've bought, or something traveler related (like the traveler itself), after a splinter, a hive ghost and a fish it's a little... whatever considering i never understand why people like the d1 tower so much when it's just a social space, no one cares about the reef after all
@@dankerbelld1 tower is one of most recognised destiny symbols out there lol. It's THE tower we had since the start of it all, the tower we lost (that was a major point during the d2 marketing too). It silhouette kept appearing as emblems, even the game icon was it once if I remember everything correctly. Can't say the same about other social spaces.
nah the only reason I bought this was because it was an OG tower replica, the hours me and my friends spent there in school, the memories, I just had to have it

Would’ve gone SO HARD if the video had had no dialogue, and we just watched Datto unbox and look it over in awkward silence.
The amount of lore update in this edition is pretty damn important to the story. Looks like we'll be using the Witness's factions (that combined together to form the Witness) against it, as one was clearly against the actions being taken. No doubt this will "weaken" the Witness somehow for us to kill it in the Raid.
And it wouldn't surprise me one bit if a lot of the important intel is left out of the game. It seems to kinda be their modus operandi at this point...

when cayde said "take me with you" for some reason theorist brain went "oh shit he might not be able to leave the traveler this could be interesting" and then immediately after "it's from the first game"........ I may be prone to overthinking

i received my collector's edition today and genuinely thought i only got 2 of the figures until now. also turns out you actually only need to put zavala on the back to open it, ikora isn't needed at all

The plastic Tower looks so cheap man. I can't believe they charged so much for this thing lmao. I bought the Witch Queen and Lightfall CEs but skipped this one. The WQ hive ghost was actually really dope, but the Lightfall pouka was disappointing. This Tower replica looks even worse.
