People have calculated this, and it's false. 3 Episodes have roughly the same amount of content as 4 seasons. The only thing we have "less" is story veriety.
@@baileyharrison8277 We get less story veriety but more story for the available ones. Combined with the fact they have more chances to produce more activities and such centered around that story.
Destiny 2 have a core fans that are not willing to give up on Bungie whatever they do and they’ve spent too much efforts to build up their arsenal to quit now. I don’t think it will die because chart shows bottom of the core player counts for over a 4 years which means there are no more new players are coming in and not many leaving the game. Not sure Sony will be pleased with sub par results from Bungie since they do control the board.
"Destiny 2 have a core fans that are not willing to give up on Bungie, no matter what they do" - As evidenced by literally your entire comment thread bar me it would seem. Yeah, no Gentlemen, i'm afraid the game being in a mechanically and thematically good spot (You will feel powerful, there will be content for you to do, it will feel polished), is not the *actual* metrics for a game doing well, especially not 3 months into The Final Shape, where the Steam Chart Player numbers are only around an average of 4000 players higher than the worst performing month in the entire year of lightfall (Month 12, usually the month prior to the new expansion release). This was true for both Average Players, and the All-time peaks being directly comparable between August 2024 [Month 3 TFS] & Feburary 2024 [Month 12 Lightfall]. It also undersold Lightfall, btw, just for anyone that might be waiting to try and stick this in there. So it has performed worse on every available metric available to them. It is also CONTINUING, to perform worse than the previous years in terms of player retention. The game has lost players at a near exponential pace, losing over half of its active player-base within a month, when it usually declines by only a third in any given year (True for Beyond Light, Witchqueen & Lightfall). You are down to 25% average player numbers from your Average player peak on release. You are down to 30% peak player numbers from the peak players on release. You are (not even) 3 MONTHS into The Final Shape year. Do not mistake the game being in a mechanically/aesthetically good spot, for the game in terms of actual players playing, as a 'good spot'.
lmao, I do apologize up front but for those in the replies, saying you "came back" and stating the game is in a good spot, you are not the core audience. You left the game and came back fresh, that's different. Core audience are the ones that stayed until The Final Shape, the game isn't "in a good state". Episodes are nothing more than just combining 3 Seasons in one, the core of the formula has remained unchanged but Bungie hyped Episode as if it's innovative and different.
Bungo is infamous for overhyping and underdelivering content, rewording the same thing expecting and it to fly, and too nerf hammer happy. Now inserting cringy lore with no option to skip cutscenes and also lying (no unsunsetting).
Summed up my feelings for me here. I mastered new raid, got the Iconoclast title, and all the red border guns i want/need, all the Adept rolls I wanted from the raid. Now what??? Theres nothing to really challenge myself with all that fancy new stuff outside of low-mans and my friends are all done with destiny rn
I have no idea how anyone can keep playing Destiny 2. It’s so boring and the power chase just feels completely pointless. It’s just a never ending carrot hunt for a carrot that’s expired and moldy. Destiny 1 had dry periods, but the power chase never felt pointless.
I had the patterns for the side arm and the pulse in week 1 of act 2 so the quest to make them focusable engrams was a total waste of time not to mention that once I have all the patterns I stop focusing so I stay with 99 engrams at all the vendors because there's no point I can craft whatever roll I want
Bro 😂 Just stop playing the damn game. They're on their deathbed. Crying is not going to change ANYTHING. This is not a "listen to us" situation anymore. It's too late. What's done is done. Move on.
idk the fact we had a 3 player activity on top of 3 new battlegrounds tomorrow and we dont know whats coming in act 3 is already more than what we had on launch seasons in previous years
@@rosekarl5561 we do know, there's nothing else in the API, and it would be there considering there has been triumphs for the exotic mission in the API since the start of the episode. And what we have might be more than a typical season, because it literally has to be, an episode lasts for 33% longer than a season did, there's only three of them a year instead of a the usual 4 seasons. Meaning that just to break even and have the same content as we used to, every episode needs to have more content than a typical season used to have.
@@rosekarl5561 Yes, that was the problems with some seasons, basically all the seasons following lightfall (Now that was a real scam XD). Altho, done right, seasons could be great and extremely good. Look at chosen, splicer, haunted for examples of the "golden era of seasons". They really hit those ones good and i stayed for the majority if not the full length of those seasons.
Keep in mind Episode 1 enjoys the content of Final Shape, an expansion very hyped By Bungie & the community. An expansion that is was delayed & then Bungie did a lot of layoffs. So its the Episodes 2 and Episodes 3 are those things that will show you what Bungie can do with limited resources. More importantly you should look how grindy the Episodes/Seasons are.
Valid points and the people that disliked and defended Bungie before the 2nd layoffs are shills who will always say whatever is en vogue. Apart from COD I think this community are the biggest simps whilst simultaneously being haters in gaming..
I mean that's just Destiny 2. It's always been insane to me how incompetent content designers are in this game. Just add Mythic Plus. Literally copy it into Destiny 2. Also add Contest Mode raids already, what the F*CK are you doing, Bungie?
look as much as the blame is on stinky pete i feel like destiny realistically would have never reached this state if the devs still had passion for the game. No reason someone would keep working on a butchered corporatized version of the game they were hired to make unless they only cared about the money. 80% of the gameplay loop sucks because the devs dont even want you to enjoy the mmorpg aspects of the game. All the content that would "save" the game is put behind paywalls in a FREE TO PLAY GAME which goes against the entire point of f2p. If they wanted to save their game they would focus on giving people an ACTUAL reason to pay for season passes (unique cosmetics, non gameplay related items) but instead they sell power to players and get away with it because the community is full of cope artists
This is how Bungje works, they’ve been a consistently scummy, low-effort lying company. It doesn’t matter because people have such low standards and will defend them with any number of copes. The seasonal model was absolutely terrible and content dry to begin with.
If you thought Episodes were going to be a drastic difference from Seasons right out of the gate. FROM BUNGIE? You were delusional, they always start the bar low and improve over time.
Something didn’t feel right to me before final shape came out, the leadership @ bung, Sony, etc.’s behavior & decision making, combined with my experience dropping 100 bucks on Lightfall and how quickly it made me realize how recycled & repetitive this game is…all of it amounted to my decision not to give Bungie any more money for something I started buying in 2020 & they wanted me to cough up another 100 for now. I’ve spent a total of 20 bucks on silver over 4 years. I spent over 300 buying this game over that same amount of time. I decided not to make it 400 and decided I’m never even going to try anything they ever develop again. Pete Parsons is a sleaze, F- him, to hell with spending money on a game they decide I no longer own on a random Tuesday
im actually happy for more smaller content drops like episodes in the future. it keeps me coming back and having stuff to do. the game is so much better than it was years ago, theres actually quite a bit of things to do and chase. plenty of activities. vaulting content is the only thing that actually sucks and i absolutely hate. but you can blame people who still play on PS-poor for that.. people who complain about the game now will never be happy and should just move on to other games. i dont think anyone who criticizes the game today actually knows what they wanted from destiny/bungie.
When it comes to episodes i agree, are they a scam? No. They're getting paid less making episodes. with the time gating part being ridiculous, a thing you missed is that they're making nessus visually pleaseing in their campaign missions and refuse to implement it into patrol, if they made the gambit mode a matchmade/patrol like they did with the activity in direlect leviathan it would be way better we also visted savathuns throneworld in season of the witch but they dont like adding areas to patrols so they made it a split area I dont think they should add titan io mercury and mars back fully, sections of these areas im fine with them being reintroduced in seasons i just want the raids back The new light experience is awful and a snoozefest. agree Bungie literally JUST added armor for ritual activities. Beyondlight got bad with age. Deep stone crypt has atraks and a monolouge and people call it gods gift. Lightfalls patrol is good. only thing that was bad about lightfall was the story and half of RON (the encounters in the first half are easy). You're obviously just burnt out tbh
They are to CHEAP to upgrade the engine. So they can only use what is already in the OLD engine. It is not capable of handling all that content at once load times would be FOREVER.
@@cruxlamar9681 i'm just giving concrete advice instead of starting pointless discussions with strangers on the internet. Besides, much of the criticism in this video is pretty dumb, i dont really feel like arguing with that
Calling the TFS a scame is w weird take but do agree about episodes kinda being a scam but hopefully in episode 2 if they didn't lie, won't have time gate.
I think the reason seasons are in f2p areas, and I might be wrong, but aren't Europa/Neomuna/Pale Heart patrol zones locked behind their respective DLCs? I can't imagine the blowback if they released a season for sale then when you tried to go there it said "you gotta buy this DLC also". Edit: forgot throne world in the list of DLC zones.
I can't even have access to my rewards of act 2 because I have to grind AF to reach level 100 of the season pass. I have finished act 1 and 2 , still here to grind AF to reach other things that the game owns me
As a huge fan of Destiny you don’t need to compain about this game that you’ve been playing for years always be thankful for what Bungie gave us also if don’t like it go play a different game lots of players have quit after final shape And moved on to play different games for me I still play destiny 2 also Destiny 1 but completed everything even to getting all of the grimore cards stuff Also take a break from Destiny 2 frequently if you don’t like the content
The content is consistently terrible, low effort, and recycled. They have been recycling the same content and nostalgia bait since like Rise of Iron man. If you enjoy it whatever, but it isn’t GOOD
Why they take away all the content from the seasons when they release a new expansion is beyond insane. So much content just taken out waiting for stuff to come back. Should just rotate.
This was on point i enjoyed the campaign and the raid i played the first week of the 1st epsiode and havent played since i cant do it anymore lol its pretty much the same thing as a episode
"I'm tired of it, I can't take it anymore" thats what most people said after Lost Light. 3 Billion of someone elses money and they they still couldn't make it work. They earned the L here.
Yes it is definitely worse. They need to remove time gating and let us play at our own pace, speedrun or take our time. It’s been doing more harm than good. This year and expansion is the deadline to make things right and if this years content sucks like it did last year or worse, d2 will die or Sony will fire Bungie from d2 and Sony will take it over
can you really judge an entire episode just based on one act alone? so far it is very similar but i'd honestly wait for the first 2 episodes to be over to REALLY judge the system in a fair way, this first one is likely just the transition phase from the seasonal to the episodic model so i don't expect seeing many changes until revenant at least
5:28 yes, grandmaster content and raids and day one experiences are the end game of destiny, the seasonal and now episode content have been there to prepare you for the end game content (the way i see it). And bro if you get bored or annoyed with that then literally you have 2 options. Go play a different game instead of going online and complaining about nothing. Orrrrr you can leave your house, maybe meet some nice people, live your life, maybe go to the gym or something. No reason to bang your head against a wall that A. Doesn't exist. And B. Isn't going to budge anytime ever.
Another month goes by, and the Steam Player numbers continues its nose dive into the Abyss. August 2024 average steam players of ~37,000. Peak Online during the Month, ~67000. Down from ~62,000 and ~101,000 respectively in July 2024, which is Down from ~123,000 & ~315,000 respectively in June 2024 with The Final Shape Release. Let's have a look at Lightfall, you know, that universally panned expansion, which we could expect to do well based on the good release of Witchqueen. Highest peak on Lightfall release? ~317,000 Highest average players on Lightfall release? ~135,000 (About 1:1 for Lightfall to The Final Shape on both Average and Peak) Lowest trough in Lightfall year? February 2024. ~33,000 average players, with a ~47,000 player peak. Hmmm... February 2024, Month 12, sentiment at an all time low, barely scraping through with 33,000/47,000 Month 3 of The Final shape, barely scraping through with 37,000/67,000 "But it's not just Steam" / "There's other factors that influence Steam's metrics" Absolutely true, I don't dispute it. But if you think Destiny is in a 'healthy spot' right now, you've been woefully misled by the Final Shape hype. The players have up and left, and even the release of Act 3 AND an Exotic mission, wasn't capable of breaking the 57,000 peak player mark, and the peak for the entire month isn't capable of breaking 70,000 players. The third month of The Final Shape is just marginally better than the WORST Month of the entire Lightfall year. And we're only 3 months into the year, and Act 3 hasn't even concluded, so this isn't even a downturn due to poor delivery on a new season/episode (per se) The game is literally in the same spot now, as it was before the 'Into the Light' update. It has absolutely hemorrhaged players worse than any other year, at an absolutely record pace. Tell me, how active are your clans? If yours is anything like mine is, I'm certain you're discussing (and playing) other games than Destiny right at this very moment, and have been for weeks, if not month(s).
“These episodes are one of the biggest lies bungie told”… you must not have been playing consistently for those 4 years then or did any research about shady things that happened prior to you starting to play destiny then cause they have pulled much bigger lies with xp throttling, the way bright engrams used to work and lots of prior content being “too hard” to develop while they started to increase the amount of content they put out, which completely contradicted the “it’s too hard” argument. Also… “This is the biggest drop off of players from TFS to the first episode”… where is the data to back that statement? And no, that’s untrue because the player base was packed the entire week of TFS’s launch, much more than it was over the past year, into the first week of the start of the first episode. And the worst drop off that happened was Lightfall into that first season. Once the realization of how bare Lightfall was and the raid was out, ppl started leaving in droves, much faster than they did with TFS. “Only thing wrong with TFS is episode one”…. Dude, they aren’t the same thing at all!! If you’ve been playing 4 years, you’d know expansions and seasons/episodes aren’t the same thing nor are they connected. Seasons started releasing supplemental content and they really leaned into that for Lightfall, but that was because LF was so short and quickly thrown together that they decided to stretch the storytelling out over the course of the year so they could catch up. Once those seasons got vaulted, they no longer appear for ppl playing LF for the first time, so just like older seasons over a year ago didn’t really connect to past expansions, TFS has nothing connected with episodes either. “Why can’t we go to the leviathan”… just like it’s been explained many times since season of arrivals (when you said you started playing)… any seasonal locations will continue to be sunset to make room for new seasonal locations/content in the future. If they can find ways to bring locations back via exotic missions or battlegrounds or whatever, that’s how they’ll bring it back. They won’t sunset any planets introduced in main expansions but if it comes during ma season/episode, it’ll get sunset. Not defending bungo here, but you’re just saying a bunch of things without any evidence or without looking up the answer. You can look up steam player data to gauge how some of the community is dwindling less compared to this time last expansion, but you’re not doing that. This all just sounds like you’re annoyed with the game and you’re venting about it. There’s always been ups and downs min this franchise. Ya just gotta accept it or stop for a while cause it’s not changing while certain leadership is in power at bungie.
All of this is irrelevant and his point is valid.. Way to care too much about...? Mate, I don't think you even know what this comment is about. It is like a teachers notes for a draft thesis with a tone of DO BETTER! Say less.. You will sound smarter..

I decided that id give them one last chance when TFS came out and that if the seasonal content sucked it’d discontinue buying it and if this years content still suck then I’ll buy only expansions from now on
Honest feedback, take a break go play something else, if you are unhappy with the state of the game or content well don’t buy it, there other games that might offer what you want.
I will say historically, seasons (and looks like episodes too) that launch with an expansion are always dogshit, so it doesn’t feel right to judge all episodes with just this one. We have some things to look forward for the other two episodes like the Dreadnought as a destination and the potion crafting system. I think so far, it feels like episodes are just longer seasons. Is that bad? Eh. At 3 Episodes a year and even if episodes cost 15 dollars, that's still cheaper than what you'd normally pay for 4 seasons. Not to mention that at least in the future Episode will have 3 big time gates unlike season's many weekly time gates.
So what exactly is different from this to previous seasons? Literally the last season was something along the lines of this. Also the reason why i haven't played as much is not because what you are talking about its because the fact that i can leave the game and not miss on dlc's that are huge. If you dont like what the game has been doing you can leave. The light snd dark saga is over. Now is a good time to leave.
Regarding player drop off. I think many players was ready to leave long ago. And now when the final shape brings an "end to the light and dark saga", then players see that as a good finish to the story and step off after that. Regarding the episodes. Yeah, i ain't convinced yet. Considering how the seasons was handled, the first season was always weak, the second was a lot better, except for the last DLC and following seasons, they were all weak. I think Bungie have stated that act 2 of episode 1 will get more activities. When it comes to raids and dungeons. The raid for the final shape is quite good. It's worth it. Dungeon tho, that is where i am a bit scared, it looks like it isn't coming out in act 2, i don't know about act 3, but if it first releases in episode 2 (wich is my fear), then we could be in for a loooooooooooooooooooooong content draught. Especially since Bungie said their plan for episode 2 and 3 is going to be releasing all the content at the same time when they drop, instead of the usual dripfeed. And if (a big if), we won't see a new dungon until episode 2, there might be a very content starved playerbase right before episode 2. As of now, we have around 84 days left of this episode, and we are already one month in, wich implies that episode 2 and 3 might be the same lenght. And if they release all the content for the episodes right at the start, will that mena we get (sort of) nothing for 4 months? Sure, it all sound doom and gloom, but i think they did a (mostly) good job with final shape. And if build upon that, alongside the episodes, they might actually turn this ship around again. I also think that Sony have "cleaned house" at Bungie with all the layoffs and stuff going on, and Sony def have a plan for Bungie. And if there is money to be had with Destiny, they will probably keep it alive.
@@cerulean5032 I know that, my point tho is that it is longer between episodes than there is between seasons. Seasons were roughly around 3 months, between episodes it seems to be roughly above 4 months. That is a whole season combined that we sort of "miss out on" dividend between the three episodes. The last weeks of a season could get tedious and booring, especially if the season wrapped up early, like in 7-8 weeks. If it was a meh or very "thin" season, even worse, you could literary see in in the player base diminishing until returning for the next season. 4 months is a long time between content. And also, they redid everything with the "act 1, 2 and 3" thingy and they said they are going to change again by episode 2 and 3 and drop all the content all at once. That is basically like dropping content and possible have "silence" for 4 months. Except for patches and updates. I so do hope they prove me wrong.

I started during Season of the Wish and now have 1000 hours into it, I bought the older DLC's for $35 and two passes now so all up the game is into me for $74. My first experience with it was content that made zero sense then realizing allot of the story was vaulted but alas I've since watched a lore video and I gotta be honest the story isn't overly interesting or even appealing to me personally. For such an old game there really isn't much here other than repetition? Its all the game is repetition. I bought season of the wish then Bungo gave it away for free so I was out $22 but nobody complained in fact didn't hear a peep? But they vaulted whole portions of the game out and have apologists for them so not surprised while me a new player wants his $22 back.. I bought Witch Queen then settled in to run the Dungeon ahh it requires another $30 silver bundle to unlock after me buying Witch Queen... Season of Echo now, time gating stuff locking stuff more motes more collecting sea shells like in season of the deep or one of them cause all seasons are the same, me thinking does this game ever evolve passed the same repetitive crapola? The only thing cool is the Abarrent Action and launcher which I repeated the battlegrounds and got 5x reds to drop so I crafted what I wanted and now I have the launcher so I have pretty much what I want from it. After running battlegrounds 100x for the reds I'm honestly kind of tapped out Bro I really am just pushing myself to finish this garbo because I want my money worth. I never bought the Final Shape because I learned my lesson long ago you never buy games or DLC day one you always wait for a sale and for them to fix any possible issues and oh my did the new update have issues.. I logged on straight after update dropped loaded in to the pale hear first mission and wouldn't you know it? All the same crapola.. Prismatic is just stuff they had in the game 7 years ago all thrown together so again Bungo wants us to pay 150 for the same crapola they sold people years ago.. The servers were horrible so bad I was kicked for a week after the update released but first few days were just terrible. Went to Steam forums same old same old forum dwellers and mods silencing people and their issues, I've got some beauty screens from so called mods who just gaslighted people. It was a massive gaslight damage control fiesta.. Now the latest GM Nightfall, I see all the Prismatic "sOlO GM EaSy" videos from Bungos marketers who work for free mind you. I've never had an issue soloing GM's or doing it with my friend just two of us but this GM they throw so many ads at you in an attempt to make you feel bad because you didn't part with 150 to buy The Final Sharto. Watched one guy running arc soul while dropping stasis turrets everywhere so the parts that were difficult for me to do which I did do by the way were just a piece of cake to this guy. I run Osmiomancy and my friend Getaway artist ARC both Warlocks, we have to run two people to gain the abilities this one guy had.. I have two turrets he can drop 4x with arc soul to aid him in the orb pickup section, that 4x to my two plus he gets a soul. His nade spam comes back so fast makes my 3x 100 30-50-50 Stasis Warlock look like a chump even with Demo, its pure punishment for those that did not buy TFS I can feel their contempt coming through my monitor. I'll probably burn through this season then dip, its just a repeat cycle of the same stuff over and over time gating grind gating I honestly can't say I log onto this game to have fun anymore. Its just FOMO addiction that keeps people playing, long time player spent thousands on the game so they wont admit Bungo took them for a ride. As for me $74 for 1000 hours is ok value in my mind but I'm not coming away from this experience with the thought that oh this was an amazing story and amazing experience, more so a wet fart. My friends already left so now its me and LFG which is another bad experience. Meh
The final shape is good. Solid 7.5/10. Decent enough but definetely could improve. The episodes model is thrash. IMO bungle should go back to do DLC expansions like in destiny 1
they confirmed they are changing this in the future, all will drop at release at discretion, but still destiny 2 needs to change, battlegrounds are shit!
This video is horrible. Do you even have a script? These are such petty complaints. No one asked you to spend $1000 on the game. There are valid criticisms to be made for this dlc and episode, but you complaining that there's no infinite content is stupid. You dont need to play this game everyday. Saying " nessus is dumb and ugly why are we here " when the community is happy its given a reason to exist again. Everyone used red death in trials. Its like the most used gun weekly so yes people do care. You cant complain about the endgame when you haven't even done the new raid. Again, theres some valid opinions here but its mixed with reddit humor and ignorance.

Boy. I bet a lot lf the people in your comments that defended Bungie are feeling pretty stupid right about now
This video is getting a lot of hate now, but it’ll age well
Your prediction came true lol

I think your caps lock is broken
idk the fact we had a 3 player activity on top of 3 new battlegrounds tomorrow and we dont know whats coming in act 3 is already more than what we had on launch seasons in previous years
We only have the battlegrounds launching with act 2. And we do know what act 3 brings, it's literally just the new exotic mission.
@@cerulean5032 we dont know if its just the exotic mission. Either way this is way more than what we got during some seasons
@@cerulean5032 there's nothing now, for what we know with ACT.II update there might be some addons
They destroyed Destiny when they released Destiny 2. D1 player since VOG.
I was also surprised by the blatant season of the splicer mission brought back, game is a actual scam.

Destiny 2 is gayer than aids
Did you see the flinch on Levi's breath when he got up the elevator. Got dang.
This is how Bungje works, they’ve been a consistently scummy, low-effort lying company. It doesn’t matter because people have such low standards and will defend them with any number of copes. The seasonal model was absolutely terrible and content dry to begin with.
If we're honest about it, the man raises a lot of fair points here. Bungie always lying about something.
that game has always been a scam, if you fall for it its on you.
IMO you should play a bit to get your fix, then move on. If you quitit abruptly it wont really help you move on.

You know the timelocks are going away next episode right ?
im actually happy for more smaller content drops like episodes in the future. it keeps me coming back and having stuff to do. the game is so much better than it was years ago, theres actually quite a bit of things to do and chase. plenty of activities. vaulting content is the only thing that actually sucks and i absolutely hate. but you can blame people who still play on PS-poor for that.. people who complain about the game now will never be happy and should just move on to other games. i dont think anyone who criticizes the game today actually knows what they wanted from destiny/bungie.
5:38 and THATS only if you have a competent team. LFG/Fireteam Finder 9/10 times is a scam.
You're passing judgement on episodes before the first episode is even complete 😂😂
When it comes to episodes i agree, are they a scam? No. They're getting paid less making episodes. with the time gating part being ridiculous, a thing you missed is that they're making nessus visually pleaseing in their campaign missions and refuse to implement it into patrol, if they made the gambit mode a matchmade/patrol like they did with the activity in direlect leviathan it would be way better we also visted savathuns throneworld in season of the witch but they dont like adding areas to patrols so they made it a split area
I dont think they should add titan io mercury and mars back fully, sections of these areas im fine with them being reintroduced in seasons i just want the raids back
The new light experience is awful and a snoozefest. agree
Bungie literally JUST added armor for ritual activities.
Beyondlight got bad with age. Deep stone crypt has atraks and a monolouge and people call it gods gift.
Lightfalls patrol is good. only thing that was bad about lightfall was the story and half of RON (the encounters in the first half are easy).
You're obviously just burnt out tbh
I do t get how anyone can defend this game let alone play it. It is just so bad. People still gatekeeping so hard for this it’s pathetic
They are to CHEAP to upgrade the engine. So they can only use what is already in the OLD engine. It is not capable of handling all that content at once load times would be FOREVER.
I've never been so proud to say I quit playing something and never went back.
Pre-ordering Destiny 1 was my life's greatest regret.
Only real gripe I have is how UGLY the seasonal armour is (at least for hunter).

You are one of the only people in this comment section that has made a good point.
U can Go on patrol on neomuna thronworld and europa... But not the pale heart as f2p
I can't even have access to my rewards of act 2 because I have to grind AF to reach level 100 of the season pass. I have finished act 1 and 2 , still here to grind AF to reach other things that the game owns me
Great Title and sooooooo TRUE. Thats it with Bungie forever, they wont get any other title in the future, no one will forget this...
As a huge fan of Destiny you don’t need to compain about this game that you’ve been playing for years always be thankful for what Bungie gave us also if don’t like it go play a different game lots of players have quit after final shape And moved on to play different games for me I still play destiny 2 also Destiny 1 but completed everything even to getting all of the grimore cards stuff
Also take a break from Destiny 2 frequently if you don’t like the content
The content is consistently terrible, low effort, and recycled. They have been recycling the same content and nostalgia bait since like Rise of Iron man. If you enjoy it whatever, but it isn’t GOOD
I get what you're saying but corporations gonna corporation. Bottom line is what drives decisions.
Bro it’s been a recycling game for 8 years bro
2.8 million dollars on classic cars btw
as long as it's fun
no matter the strain of my insanity
if i can enjoy, is good
Why they take away all the content from the seasons when they release a new expansion is beyond insane. So much content just taken out waiting for stuff to come back. Should just rotate.
Bungie said d2 would continue up till 10 years after the LF launch but if they keep doing the same ol typical decisions and content then nope lol
2 weeks early and this man was right on the money. Rip Destiny
The final scam
So glad I stopped playing after FS
First impressions are always important and if the first episode doesn’t deliver then yes, people do have a right to criticize it.
This is classic Destiny player cope man, it doesn’t get better don’t you get it at this point
@@thegrinninggamer9325 yea man i was wrong i admit
5:28 yes, grandmaster content and raids and day one experiences are the end game of destiny, the seasonal and now episode content have been there to prepare you for the end game content (the way i see it). And bro if you get bored or annoyed with that then literally you have 2 options. Go play a different game instead of going online and complaining about nothing. Orrrrr you can leave your house, maybe meet some nice people, live your life, maybe go to the gym or something. No reason to bang your head against a wall that A. Doesn't exist. And B. Isn't going to budge anytime ever.
I agree with you
Dude, endgame for this game is pvp, who cares about raids?
Another month goes by, and the Steam Player numbers continues its nose dive into the Abyss.
August 2024 average steam players of ~37,000. Peak Online during the Month, ~67000.
Down from ~62,000 and ~101,000 respectively in July 2024, which is Down from ~123,000 & ~315,000 respectively in June 2024 with The Final Shape Release.
Let's have a look at Lightfall, you know, that universally panned expansion, which we could expect to do well based on the good release of Witchqueen.
Highest peak on Lightfall release? ~317,000
Highest average players on Lightfall release? ~135,000
(About 1:1 for Lightfall to The Final Shape on both Average and Peak)
Lowest trough in Lightfall year?
February 2024. ~33,000 average players, with a ~47,000 player peak.
Hmmm...
February 2024, Month 12, sentiment at an all time low, barely scraping through with 33,000/47,000
Month 3 of The Final shape, barely scraping through with 37,000/67,000
"But it's not just Steam" / "There's other factors that influence Steam's metrics"
Absolutely true, I don't dispute it.
And we're only 3 months into the year, and Act 3 hasn't even concluded, so this isn't even a downturn due to poor delivery on a new season/episode (per se)
The game is literally in the same spot now, as it was before the 'Into the Light' update.

Yeah they’re just the seasonal model stretched out, it’s a way for them to just do less content.

Honest feedback, take a break go play something else, if you are unhappy with the state of the game or content well don’t buy it, there other games that might offer what you want.
and now the games getting gutted and looks like it will be dying.
Final shape was fine deluxe not so much
I will say historically, seasons (and looks like episodes too) that launch with an expansion are always dogshit, so it doesn’t feel right to judge all episodes with just this one.
Everything outside of the final shape content is really bad right now.
Wow! You have been playing for 4 whole years!?!?
Real
@@Klantfan-1 We won't get a dungeon this episode because we already got a raid.

IMO if you have bought the Yearly expansion & are concerned/disgruntled, perhaps its time to think about the future. Play D2 (so your yearly payment doesnt go to waste) with the mindset that you will quit, dont get hyped by any late announcements that are designed to make you pay for the next year.. Play the content you bought, the activities you enjoy and so on. Perhaps its time to really play the strikes or whatever activity you want (blind well for the last time etc) using your old weapons or the weapons you enjoy. That way when its really time to quit you will do so fulfilled. Lastly try to play other games as well.
Meh

Tryin ur hardest to get the negativity boost for ur Chanel
Wow 4 whole years? You haven't earned the right to make content on the game.
the true destiny fan, time gating thinking as ^ said
Clown
they confirmed they are changing this in the future, all will drop at release at discretion, but still destiny 2 needs to change, battlegrounds are shit!
Don’t play it then 🤷♂️
This video is recycled content. You are just saying what everyone else is saying.
Yet if it all came out at once you would do it all within a day or two and complain there's nothing to do. Dont like it dont play it.
what content?
Obviously it's going to be shorter, it's literally called an EPISODE, and the last time i saw an episode is shorter than a season
this is the most braindead explanation I have ever come across lmao
@@Kait07_ yeah it's so simple that even braindead people can understand lol
you are not so good at this game man
okay then just dont play the game, wont be missed dog
@merlin3245😟
@@meetbawl5760 damn u sucking destiny 2 weenier hard as hell rn
Leave the multi-billion dollars company alone🤓
@@shubhamstark8 I'm having fun
@@meetbawl5760 you a bum bruh 💀💀
This video is horrible. Do you even have a script? These are such petty complaints.
No one asked you to spend $1000 on the game.
There are valid criticisms to be made for this dlc and episode, but you complaining that there's no infinite content is stupid.
You dont need to play this game everyday.
Saying " nessus is dumb and ugly why are we here " when the community is happy its given a reason to exist again.
Everyone used red death in trials. Its like the most used gun weekly so yes people do care.
You cant complain about the endgame when you haven't even done the new raid.
Again, theres some valid opinions here but its mixed with reddit humor and ignorance.
not all mfs need a script, cry baby ass
What content is there then
@@deadlesscore
the content for this episode is :
200 tiers of the Season Pass
New artifact mods
Solstice
Story content
Seasonal Activity
Seasonal Battleground
Unknown act 3 activity
Enigma Protocol
Exotic mission
New Armour set
10 new craftable vex themed weapons
5 reprised season of the dawn weapons
Mix this with the DLC, and its really not that bad. Even datto said it was okay. Its a season/episode that launched with the DLC and those have a history of being OK.
@@ghost-pop-tape season pass does not equal content. solstice isn't even out yet and is probably a copy & paste like every other event. artefact mods are not playable content they just enhance the gameplay. we acting like only 3 of the 15 new weapons are even worth considering. armour set isn't content yet again and is just cosmetic ever since artifice came out. the rest are valid tho, the game probably has alot of new content but the structure they are giving it in feels worse than og seasons imo
@@ghost-pop-tape When you have to call the battle pass, a boring seasonal event that has been copy and pasted same boring content for half a decade, armour sets and artefact mods "content", you are literally proving his point genius.
Bungie thought they could get away with their greed and laziness with a good expansion, but I already saw through the episodes and the activities are just terrible and fail safe is super annoying, also the in game dialogue we have to listen to while characters talk like in the helm, it takes forever, they need to add a option to skip that completely
Yes I love destiny 2 but the dialogue is so annoying I wish that you can skip the dialogue of the characters
