Coming from a dedicated player, I checked out for most of the Lightfall year, only coming in for the story every week and waiting for Into the Light (and by extension, Final Shape). The seasonal content was bearable once you had it down well enough to be able to turn your brain off and music playlist on, but the story of each season got so predictable: Week 1: Establish the seasonal activity and vendor Week 2-3: General busy work, while things are hinted at in activity completion voice lines. Week 4: Twist of some kind. Mission or Cutscene, rarely both. Week 5: The fallout from Week 4's twist. Week 6: Stakes get cranked up Week 7: "Finale" 2 Weeks before season end: The real finale, often a new mission. I understand why it's done from a dev standpoint, but the story delivery hasn't really changed since Chosen, 3 and a half years ago. Expansion-parallel seasons always were a little undercooked, but I can only hope Echoes was finished as a season before the decision was made to switch to episodes, cos right now, Failsafe and the general Vex aesthetic are the only things keeping me running Breach Executable, at least until the update on Tuesday that will make farming Radiolite on a public team more bearable. The real decider on episodes for me will be Revenant, and how they handle an episode standing on its own.
Dlc has also gotten stale, I miss when bungie shook it up but beyond light, wq, lightfall, and this dlc all feel the same. Too similar in terms of structure and even quality
Same man, it's the end of an era for me. I came back simply for the conclusion of the light and dark saga. Played this game for 10 years since the first week of it's release, it's truly been an experience. I lost some of my saved footage from my Ps4 but I will remember my raids, dungeon and mission clears with all my friends. Some of which don't even play video games anymore. Destiny really was, a game of all time.
Ive been with this game since i was 14years old (im 22 currently) an i got to say with the amount of holes an problems in this game it really makes you realise an see all the good an beautiful cool things, it's a balance.
"This was THE WORST launch" I'd like to expand on this. When I got Shadowkeep, it took 15 minutes to load in. When I got Beyond Light, it took 30 minutes to load in. When I got Witch Queen, it took 5 minutes to load in. (Granted, I didn't play it at launch) When I got Lightfall, it took 20 minutes to load in. FINAL SHAPE??? TWO HOURS.
This was the first raid I ever did. Because I am a solo player, and it is definitely an experience I don't want to experience again. The lore and design of the raid was great. But if you're not the perfect in every encounter, fireteam will boot you. This is why almost 50% of players do not do raids.
There are less that take part in raids. Around 30% of players have completed 1 single raid. Most ppl simply dont have the time or are not interested in doing them because of different reasons
I would like to get one thing out of the way. Warframe was never a destiny killer. They are completely separate titles. In fact, Warframe released before destiny 1. So, it should be other way around. Both are still thriving. In fact, warframe from technical standpoints is in a much better state than Destiny 2. Rest of the stuff, yeah. Its the end. It was a decent conclusion to the story and i will remember it.
I just wish that people had a reason to talk to each other. It was weird that they made the pale heart a solo map but forced one of your key class items behind a group mission. I know that there are a myriad of issues behind the community discussion, but if you're going to neglect grouping up. At least put a strong emphasis on making content interesting for the solo player.
I was surprised to see you're a new channel. Great production value, good argument, great video! I'm happy to see this video get the views it deserves! Subscribed at 92 subscribers (per the mobile app)
I have to say I agree with almost everything you said in this vid. I really enjoyed the first 2 weeks of Final Shape but after that as soon as the episodes become the main content I got sad. When you look objectively at Final Shape it's nowhere near Taken King or Forsaken. We only got one new strike in FS, very few exotics compared to those expansions, no PvP maps compared to tonnes in both those expansions. I have enjoyed my destiny journey but unless D3 gets announced soon this is the end for me too.
I think we look at forsaken with rose glasses. The story tbh was just lost sectors and two actual missions, we got two locations which was cool and a shit ton of exotics, but nothing else. we got “content” to play but nothing to enjoy ykwim
@makoaman1831 the story for the past 3 dlcs hasn't been good either, it's been very generic marvel writing with some of the worst dialogue I have ever heard. I don't cringe easy, but destint dialogue does it for me. It's trying so hard to sound smart and edgy but fails awfully. Not to mention bungie killed the world building of the game years ago, I no longer look at an area and wonder what is going on here and how it impacts the story, the throne world, neomuna, and the pale heart are all just areas that are a means to an end, a area for one purpose, just to house some content. Also forsaken definitely had way more memorable content, so many exotic quests, 9 new supers, 2 new areas that were great. Even if you look at it objectively, a good campaign doesn't mean shit. It's like what, 6 hours of content out of the 50 you may put into the dlc alone? It's nothing, that's why I never got the praise witch queen got, they had an average story and people went crazy, when most people don't even care about the story, or they just rush through it. The destiny community has just settled for average the past few years and it's sad. The game is good but it could be so much better.
I really hope they have a d3 cooking up and we get a complete refresh. I think it’s time. It’s been a long and awesome 10 years but I think it’s time for them to bring back real Destiny.
Thank you destiny for all the good times the laughs the friends i made along the way it is truly a timeless classic you will remember forever you are will always be my favorite games of all times
I bolted years ago. But, I came back for The Final Shape. It was good. In some parts, really good. But, it wasn’t so good that this saga required 10 years to tell. I’m wrapping it up and then I may hop on from time to time for fun, because it has always had some of the best shooter mechanics. However, if Bungie does not get over this “milking their fans” obsession that has plagued (at times) this entire franchise, then I will avoid their future games like dog shit.
Im sorry, but the weapong crafting was because... the community itself. Bungie listened the feedback about the "drop rng", the time about farming for so long... and the waste of time when is not dropping you that armor/weapon with the perks/stats that you want. So, Bungie listened and gave us the weapong crafting.
For me, It’s not really the fact it was the last saga dlc, it just happens that I’ve gotten everything I wanted in destiny, I joined the workforce, and went into college. And just like the outro of the video says, nothing will compare to how destiny feels more as for me and many other’s our journey ends here. I just don’t have the time to dedicate, the episodes while the lore is interesting I can’t be bothered to play. I’m gunna miss destiny unless we get another huge expansion to reel me back in. Otherwise, theres the end.
Played destiny 1 from day 1 put about 5k hours into D1 D2 came and most of my raid team quit , I gave up after @2 months into D2 , Returned every time dlc was free with ps+ then quit Returned for final shape because destiny was a game I genuinely cared about but all I found was a different game , same format but just with super SpongeBob bosses , confusing missions I just stumbled through or had to RUclips , wich I don't find fun Tried dungeons , confusing and long winded Nightfalls were fun PvP Ive just not bothered with ( I used to pvp in D1) And rsids , I'll just remember the good times with my ex raid team on d1 , So all in all I'm pretty much done with destiny the story has been told and for me there's not much left to come back for Destiny was something really special to me, from the ost , to the beautiful artwork , to the story , to the People i met on the way "Eyes up guardian" , "we've stepped into a war with the cabal" And of course , " little light" are few of the memories I'll always remember and my eyes genuinely fill up every time I think of my destiny journey "All ends are new beginnings" The stranger And what ever format destiny lives on to be after FS I wish the best for it But yeh this is were it ends for me 'you were always my favourite ' Cayde6 Goodbye guardiansx
I bought the Full annual pass and hopped on day one, watched the streams of the RAID was so hyped , then... we got that gaslit witness event after the RAID completion... the story was good ngl. But then got bored and jumped ship to other games. i don't see myself going back anytime soon honestly. For those still playing hope you enjoy the game honestly. My friends been begging me to come back but it no longer gives me the dopamine and excitment it used to.
This might be a unpopular opinion but I really did not enjoy Witch Queens campaign. Many of the areas throughout looked the same as some areas on Shadowkeeps campaign which in my opinion ruins the feel when it all looks copy pasted. The story was aight except going to the same place over and over again liked the boss fight at the end but Witch Queen campaign was just a bland colourless areas throughout. I still enjoyed it tho so yuh because guns go bang bang
Hate to be “that guy”… but it’s because of the hive aesthetic. It really shouldn’t have to be said…. BUT… it’s on purpose. If they didn’t have similar themes and have all hive assets looking the same, it’d be more disjointed feeling. At this point… everything is a reused asset ten times over. Honestly, I'm more surprised that when D2 launched, ppl weren’t up in arms over the main planet locations being huge asset flips of D1 starting locations. EDZ is cosmodrome forest edition. Nessus is Venus 2.0. IO is mars 2.0. Titan was probably the most unique, but an argument could be made that it was just the Moon 2.0 with underground assets being topside instead of underground like they were on the moon, a liquid ocean as a barrier outside, and the tunnels were just more hive based again. Most of the planets were literally just reskins/recolors of D1 locations, which to me is far worse than comparing witch queen to shadowkeep. But that’s just my thoughts…
@@NeckPUNCHattack I just found the story of witch Queen to be a bit lacklustre and bland like going to the same place 5 times isn't very interesting lol, if you get what I mean
@@Sjursrest follow the lore? Bro idrc for the lore but when the game wants me to go to the same place for the 6th time in one campaign and yea ima call that lazy. I enjoyed Savathun's character but that's mostly the only good character I've enjoyed theough the whole witch queen story. I don't think people primarily play for 'lore' but for the gameplay and the action but if you play for lore I think The Walking Dead the telltale series suits you better
Due to a network change i couldnt play destiny for two weeks. I tried a dozen or so games to fill the void from warframe to division 2 to fallout to others. I enjoyed those other games. But none of them made me want to keep going back like Destiny. And while i hate their servers and their laziness for PVP, the PVE experience is just so good that nothing i have played can take me away. Elden ring only lasts so long.
I agree the players are killing Destiny. Too many people that want to play a cooperative multiplayer game as a Solo player. Then these players complain that there are parts of the game that require you to play cooperatively with multiple players. When these players do join a team they tend to fail to work with the team and become a gift and a curse in the event. The other player issue is players that do not think they need a mic. This game is constructed to be a social game play environment with players coordinating tactics together on the fly in real time. Mutes and text chatters create large challenges in team coordination. Then these players tend to get aggressive with their teammates when the lack of communication is causing issues. Also, the player base on average has no patience for new players, new raiders, new GM players. On average people that are good enough to complete small part of a game activity get aggressive and frustrated with those trying to complete the primary mechanics and seem to think someone needs to carry them though the mechanics so they can rack up ad kills and put points on the scoreboard. There are some game issues that can always improve but if the player base is going continue to get more antisocial the end game content will become unplayable with average players.
i started playing d2 2 years ago, and i played the game ever since. And even though i havent played as much as some ppl, i also feel like the game gets boring and stale. Really the most fun i had in destiny is when i knew nothing about the game, witch is really bad for player retention, really the only thing thats gets me to log in everyday and play is type of game it is, no other game does it the same as them. The lore is literally some of the best of all time imo. I really hope they fix the core game problems and give players a reason to come back other than big dlc's.
I'm a huge fan of D2 and I like how you said to an extend borderlands is the same type of game. I'm a huger fan of the borderlands series but I would say since the most popular BL game out way before D1 its not a fair comparison. I could understand if you played BL a little bit that you would think its a litlle bit the same but it's super different.
Yeah like when did you farm a sector or a single enemy in d2? Never. You farm stupid ass coins to upgrade an engram so it gives you something that you maybe like but will delete it instantly if it isnt a red border cuz fuck non crafteble weapons.
I have played a lot of borderlands and love those games! I only meant that they similar in a looter, shooter, farming, grinding aspect, and specifically BL3 is what I was referring to.
been playing since launch, i have done a few raids etc thru lfg. but as someone who has anxiety and doesn't really like talking i just cant anymore, if i had know the exotic class item was locked behind a 2 player mission i wouldn't have even purchased final shape.
The algorithm brought me here, subbing because I agreed with most of the beginning. Looking forward to more videos if you end up playing still. Great quality editing keep it up.
I am a returning player after a few year break and my only gripe with destiny is its obsession to get ppl talking to each other. I have no issues using fireteam finder to complete multiplayer missions but why so many comms focused mechanics? I can use text chat for it which i do its just an inconvenience to me.
this is probably the highest quality video on the most underrated undiscovered channel i have ever seen. if the algorithm hasnt f*cked you already, i hope you fly high and soar the skies because this is good and i dont even care about *Destiny.*
I thought witch Queen was trash and so were the seasons. Also was the year Destiny 2 got even more expensive. I still never bought the dungeon key or handed them $100 for the preorder crap
I thought the 10 year Journey was going to be just Destiny . But I guess they just had to Make a Destiny 2 because the fucked up in D1. They probably would've made a Destiny 3 a couple years ago but they found a way to get around it by sunsetting content....
Started destiny during Covid, racked up around 4K hours now. It was fun and kept my sanity while being locked inside a basement for two years. The game isn’t designed to be a game; the story is not good, the gameplay loop is around weapons and that is not sustainable, the characters themselves are more limiting, why is the game rated T? Why is this labeled an MMO when it barely has any actual MMO aspects? Looking back at the time and the game, I wish I never touched it. I wanted the witness to win*
Crazy to me how bungie still continue to fail at launches, 10 years and they've never gotten it right, Fortnite been out for a few years and they never have problems with launches, yet they have 10x more players active. Bungie has had 10+ Years to get the servers right.
agreed with a lot of your points, but heres some perspective. There's nothing saying you need to hard grind every season. I play every expansion. Lots of years, I will go play other games during the seasons, giving seasons a shot in the first week to see if they're worth playing and, more often than not, I just write it off for 3/4 months. Sure you miss a few good weapons, but i've never been unable to complete any content because I was missing one specific weapon from one specific season that I skipped out on. You dont need to formally quit, just play other games for a while and pick up the expansions.
Yay Destiny! (/・ω・)/ By the way the whole "bungie why bad day 1 launch? You bad", every popular DLC launch has this issue, sheer number of people getting online is simply too much. It happens with CoD and every big game basically ever, I don't know if it will ever stop.
I have more than 8000 hours. Final shape is great. But the game is dead. Loop event and farming is soooo boring. Even end game is super easy for players like me. Not challenges.
Had the same thing with destiny. Tried it, quit after a few hours because there is barely any content for free to play players. Warframe at least doesn't lock you behind paywalls.
Damn, I left Destiny at the perfect time, things just got too repetitive, and there was no reason to bring Cayde back, making the Forsaken storyline pointless
Haven't played Final Shape and am really on the edge about it after being burnt so much out of the game with Lightfall. Is the story actually good or is it Destiny 2 good? And what I mean about that is that Destiny 2 good would be something like Forsaken, which the Destiny community claims had a great story, but in actuality it only had one great scene at the beginning, another great scene at the end and everything in between was incredibly monotonous filler fluff. So not an actually good story by normal standards.
Seasonal Content and Vaulting Ruined Destiny let's be honest, I am glad Sunsetting was reversed, something it shouldn't have happened in the first place I hope they bring back The Red War Campaign, Forsaken Campaign and old destinations back, I also hope they retire from Seasonal Content coz they are gonna go away in a year or so
iv played d2 for 10 years. its dead.. echoes are extra crispy boring. and everyone's playing first descendant rn. love destiny bt ill be back when they announce destiny 3.
Agree, I'm done with Destiny 2 the gameplay has aged poorly. The gameplay loop is extremely boring, I'm so happy to say I never bought The Final Shape. Money saved and they actually offered a sizeable discount for this expansion only a month after its release! Hmmm, I'm pondering here about what I said about the gameplay loop. Is that actually the issue or is the issue more so the content being more the issue? I had great fun with Forsaken, The Gambit stuff and early days of the re-released raids. To me, I think I fell out of love with the game ever since they nerfed everything into the ground. Recluse came back but its a shell of its former self, Lord of Wolves use to be absolutely killer, shotguns use to have reasonable range now they don't. The hyper balance and pseudo e-sport wannabe thing is the problem maybe... The game went from being a casual (but also super grindy) game to a boring super balanced game with all the super grindy stuff with less fun reward. Pretty sad what the games warped into, its nowhere near what it use to be.
@@FakuaBlock just an isolated example but i alrdy have a god roll multimach haha. only so many times u can refarm the same items over n over again... im callin it at 10 years myself hah. like i said d3 is a leak but itd be wild for sony not to at this point, they gotta make that money back somehow and destiny will always be a franchise that makes money despite what bungie says.
@@nemeciist4553 I just hope they get it right with D3, the drip feeding content needs to stop. Bunch of things they introduced i.e. weapon crafting seems like a good idea but its actually counter to what a looter shooter should provide.
@@FakuaBlock as long as it isnt on tiger engine i think they should do just fine, tbh my least favorite part of destiny currently is the server issues. i mean its 2024 and were still dealing with invis character models, discons, etc. ill be there if its there for sure. but rn im playing first decendant on lock :)
I agree with your take on witch queen being a slightly better story but man let me tell you it’s by a slight margin and after all the gameplay and QoL changes I think TFS is just the overall better expansion
Yeah I hate Destiny as much as I hate myself. But hey I at this point have already sank near 10 years (including D1) into it and want to see the light and dark saga to it's end. Don't give a toss about "Frontiers" or what ever that next project is called for it especially with how the new seasons is going. Episodes are a joke so far all we really got is one new mission and a rinse and repeat of the same old tired content with an altered area of an area we have been going to for the past 7 years.
“This was (TFS) the worst DLC launch ever”…. are ya new to destiny?? There were 2 other DLCs that couldn’t even launch the first 24+ hours for MANY ppl… which led to bungo creating the 48 hr contest mode (up from 24) of new raids. Clearly, TFS wasn’t the worst launch and you saying it is without experiencing the other day one launch fails or doing the research on the other DLCs just sounds biased at this point. Sorry, but you’re wrong on this one. Server instability and queues doesn’t equal “worst DLC launch ever.” Not being able to play for a full day on those other DLCs is categorized as “worst DLC launch.”
honestly Warframe is a better game content, Gear, build variety and story wise, they drop expansion size free content regularly, you can get everything for free. but the new player experience is pretty good at making players not want to stay because of the crafting and waiting times which for just makes it look like a free to play generic game. what is objectively much better is the studio of Warframe, you rarely see game developers showing that they care and acknowledge all of the sides of their community toxic included. and the big plus, DE has never said that they avoid making good content because it creates expectations for the future.
Objectively, Warframe's monetization is better than Destiny's; you get more game for less money. But more doesn't always mean better in my opinion. The content needs to be engaging. So here is my take: While Warframe excels in providing a lot of content, it lacks the challenge that Destiny offers, notably in Raids and Dungeons. The main challenge I encountered in Warframe was not being able to one-shot high-level enemies and getting one-shot myself. This isn't a challenge; it's a nuisance. The content I played until The New War felt like a seasonal grind in Destiny, involving endless farming for relics, mods, resources and Warframe parts while completing the easiest missions available to achieve said goals. The new content was isolated, not integrated into the main game, and required grinding for numerous new resources that were isolated to that Island.
And not to mention the drama with chat moderators and alleged nepotism at DE, along with the fiasco of Railjack. In summary, while Warframe offers more content for less money, Destiny provides a more engaging and challenging experience that keeps me coming back. It's not as good as you make it sound.
Final Shape was paper thin and completely hollow for any actual content with fun after the story. This slapped on coat of paint over seasons called episodes is mind numbing trash that they weaseled down from 4 releases to 3. Definitely not worth the $99. Bungie Fd themselves out of pure greed and stupidity. 'Wrath of the Machine' will always be my Favorite Raid, handsdown. D1 was better as whole for actual FUN. Iron Banner was something people actually looked forward to every month. That too has been gutted down to trash. D2 has been a part-time job nobody wanted, It's a damn shame, cause the potential was there for greatness.
Ngl was pretty lost most of the video but after hearing you literally wont play pvp it all made sense. As far as a looter shooter that I can then go use on people, the options are destiny and destiny 2.
I've actually played a fair bit of PVP, but its definitely not something that keeps me coming back to the game and in recent years I've definitely tried to avoid it more.
So what is the game that can take the place of Destiny 2? Cause criticizing a game that you have practically lived in without a replacement just doesn't make sense. Are you also leaving your job, your partner/girlfriend etc all because they are not perfect? Could it be a you problem?
Bro its a fucking Video game.. you can replace it with anything lmaoooo There’s more than just Destiny and Bungie when it comes to video games.. Looter shooters aren’t the only form of gsmes that exist.. You sound defensive and mad over an opinion
@@youtuberuser0109 The meaning and use of the term "Karen" - Karen's defining characteristics are a sense of entitlement, a willingness and desire to complain, and a self-centered approach to interacting with others. The content creator doesn't like some stuff about this game therefore he is dramatically leaving and claiming it is the end of the game. If you don't like "Karen" perhaps narcissist is a better term? I like the way you highlighted your own reply lol.
Why do you also follow the criteria for karan Susan? Maybe after buying something than giving everyone a free copy once demand does down feels like you got scammed. It's common sense. Something Karen's also lack.
I just don’t care anymore. The story I started 10 years ago is over and this game which I loved above all others for so long has changed beyond recognition, for better and for far far worse. I’m done for now but who knows, maybe they’ll find a way to bring the magic back.
I haven’t even made it to playing the campaign. It looks cool but I just cannot be motivated to play it at this point I’ve pretty much watched all the campaign content on RUclips and I couldn’t be bothered to play it myself I’m tired of dunking stuff and watching NPC talk around me it’s weird
I don't like my RUclips every expansion that comes out my yt get filled with hate videos, and don't get me wrong everyone entirely to an opinion but like RUclips why you try and get me to quiet ever year
I must've been 1 of the only ppl that just didn't care about the story after forsaken because how uninteresting i found it to be and even now. I was paying attention don't get me wrong, shadowkeep cool some mysterious pyramid ships, oh pyramid ships bad and then fucking megamind, the representation of the darkness... Something that started 5 years ago when they released with a mid dlc which was shadowkeep followed by a huge flop, beyond light, then a really good side plot then another stinker then the endgame, which again, fucking megamind. Unreal tbh. It's like they tried to do marvel but the worst parts of marvel, forced humor and very dragged out plots filled with mind numbing and forgettable shit. That curiosity driven mystery about the game was just completely gone and shat all over imo. Tldr i been checked out since it started in shadowkeep.
Destiny 2 isnt day because once a year it breaks the 25k daily player. Its dead because bungie asnt worked on it with passion since d1. Every year they have shown to care less and less to a point that it destroys there images. Thus it is dead to me and a lot of players. When the only reason that d2 survives is because bungie made up seasons around player showing up once a week to ear 2 lines of dialogue to continue the story. Yeah its fucking dead. If it isnt then its coma patient on life support.
for now at least what i believe will happenh is tht bungie will kill it themself by adding even more micro transactions they cant blame big corps like activision any more either :) im jus waiting fer thm to split th season pass into parts and charge xtra for thm jus like they've done w the seasons aka episodes plus i also find it odd that they haven't re used more areas after all only mars has been reused atm (thats in the game currentlu they reused titan for awhile but now it's gone again) :)
Bungie has said specifically that you will be able to play the episodes in any order, i.e. not a linear overarching narrative. Note: I did not say that they are not related to The Final Shape.
I'm happy to see people are enjoying the story but for me it was a 6/10. Cayde did not need to come back, when they threw him away at the end that confirmed to me that he was brought back for sales only. No one signifigant was killed off, we only knew targe for 30 minutes and the only reason he died is because Bungie made Zavala very dumb in this expansion. Keith David did a phenomenal job with what he had but the dialouge he had just turned Zavala into an asshole that I grew to dislike over the campaign and post campaign. We already went through his family arc and he managed to forgive himself, but in the TFS the witness taunts this to him and all he does is lash out at everyone trying to help him. Also prismatic is not a "new subclass" I shouldn't have to pay to use the abilities I already know again.
Legit they should've one more expansion to finish the light dark since lightfall was so utter trash. I left at curse came back at witch queen then left a session of the plunder. The seasons just became so trash and recycled. Shit even episodes is trash. Goated take
The Expansion and Raid was trash. It was a poor rehash of Season of Haunted. We only got 1 new strike, when we should’ve got 3/4. We didn’t face any new Disciples.
??? The episode is about the vex. Why the hell do you care about Osiris sexuality, it barely even makes much of an appearance outside of a cutscene or two
Witch queen was trash, ah yes let's go on 7 fetch quests and then have 1 good mission at the end, people really have no clue what they're talking about I swear. TFS is literally the only good dlc they've ever put out and still has its issues (teasing evil zavala just for a contrived crappy fake out, 3 missions to get the gang back together, caydes completely unnecessary death, ghosts death being completely pointless and still not paying off the plot twist of beyond light)
At this point, we can tell between the opinions of a relatively new player and veterans, witch queen was exciting because it was building towards the big bad of destiny, there was an anticipation of a big threat, all that fell off after lightfall and wasn’t really there in TFS. Don’t get me wrong, the raid and gameplay was really fun, but the story just wasn’t as good as witch queen, even lore wise, The campaign was carried by cayde and crow.
Warframe is still better than destiny. Always has been. It’s always been free to play unlike destiny which is still not free to play. Only Bungo shills disagree
Yeah I disagree with a couple points, the dialogue was horrendous. The witness fell flat on so many levels, she talks so corny and edgy yet none of it means anything, makes her seem like a big baby. The mission design was not good either, most of it is sitting around watching characters yap and have identity crisis, over things that happened to them thousands of years ago. And the gameplay is the best it's ever been? I disagree heavy on that point I really don't see where everyone is coming from with that angle. I think beyond light and on the gameplay has gotten worse, way too easy year by year and the content where is isn't as easy doesn't give any meaningful rewards. This dlc is so average it hurts. Not a good send off and hell it isn't even a true send off, still 3 episodes to go
I tried to like destiny 2 but there’s just too much content that requires a full team with mics. I don’t wanna hear some nerd blabbing about a relic on the mic.Thsts not why I play games …… I hate that other game forgot the name but it’s free to play. Elden ring base +dlc was a savior for me.1,300 hrs and still loving it.
Coming from a dedicated player, I checked out for most of the Lightfall year, only coming in for the story every week and waiting for Into the Light (and by extension, Final Shape). The seasonal content was bearable once you had it down well enough to be able to turn your brain off and music playlist on, but the story of each season got so predictable:
Week 1: Establish the seasonal activity and vendor
Week 2-3: General busy work, while things are hinted at in activity completion voice lines.
Week 4: Twist of some kind. Mission or Cutscene, rarely both.
Week 5: The fallout from Week 4's twist.
Week 6: Stakes get cranked up
Week 7: "Finale"
2 Weeks before season end: The real finale, often a new mission.
I understand why it's done from a dev standpoint, but the story delivery hasn't really changed since Chosen, 3 and a half years ago.
Expansion-parallel seasons always were a little undercooked, but I can only hope Echoes was finished as a season before the decision was made to switch to episodes, cos right now, Failsafe and the general Vex aesthetic are the only things keeping me running Breach Executable, at least until the update on Tuesday that will make farming Radiolite on a public team more bearable.

story gets better, i seen the act 2 cutscenes. love the female "vex voice" actress! go watch expance series for more of her also!!

Dlc has also gotten stale, I miss when bungie shook it up but beyond light, wq, lightfall, and this dlc all feel the same. Too similar in terms of structure and even quality

That’s now both Halo and Destiny composers are gone, Martin O'Donnell was fired in D1 and now Michael Salvatori in d2 smh
"This was THE WORST launch"
I'd like to expand on this.
When I got Shadowkeep, it took 15 minutes to load in.
When I got Beyond Light, it took 30 minutes to load in.
When I got Witch Queen, it took 5 minutes to load in. (Granted, I didn't play it at launch)
When I got Lightfall, it took 20 minutes to load in.
FINAL SHAPE??? TWO HOURS.
Who gives a shit.
Just play it the next day.
@@PainKiller100500 ok
only 2h m8 that was fast xD i got problen even next day xD
2 hours is literally nothing
2 hours for TFS is a blessing
This was the first raid I ever did. Because I am a solo player, and it is definitely an experience I don't want to experience again. The lore and design of the raid was great. But if you're not the perfect in every encounter, fireteam will boot you. This is why almost 50% of players do not do raids.
That is just not true. Lot of people are actually willing to teach newcomers, even though it is not a reality newbie friendly raid
@Sjursrest How are you going to say that his experience is not true

At least put a strong emphasis on making content interesting for the solo player.
you can play up to 3 players in pale heart

And weapon crafting was a huge mistake, the problem is the lack of great gear isn't there.

Played destiny 1 from day 1 put about 5k hours into D1
D2 came and most of my raid team quit , I gave up after @2 months into D2 ,
Returned every time dlc was free with ps+ then quit
Returned for final shape because destiny was a game I genuinely cared about but all I found was a different game , same format but just with super SpongeBob bosses , confusing missions I just stumbled through or had to RUclips , wich I don't find fun
Tried dungeons , confusing and long winded
Nightfalls were fun
PvP Ive just not bothered with ( I used to pvp in D1)
And rsids , I'll just remember the good times with my ex raid team on d1 ,
So all in all I'm pretty much done with destiny the story has been told and for me there's not much left to come back for
Destiny was something really special to me, from the ost , to the beautiful artwork , to the story , to the People i met on the way
"Eyes up guardian" , "we've stepped into a war with the cabal"
And of course , " little light" are few of the memories I'll always remember and my eyes genuinely fill up every time I think of my destiny journey

Rise Of Iron took hours to get in. I didn't play this dlc day 1 though.

My man you got pretty decent quality videos keep it up
Due to a network change i couldnt play destiny for two weeks.

Am I the only one who thinks Witch Queens story was overrated?
By the way the whole "bungie why bad day 1 launch? You bad", every popular DLC launch has this issue, sheer number of people getting online is simply too much. It happens with CoD and every big game basically ever, I don't know if it will ever stop.
I have more than 8000 hours. Final shape is great. But the game is dead. Loop event and farming is soooo boring. Even end game is super easy for players like me. Not challenges.
I tried warframe., let me tell you. Uninstalled 10 mins later. Not only is it not better than destiny , it is crap
Had the same thing with destiny. Tried it, quit after a few hours because there is barely any content for free to play players. Warframe at least doesn't lock you behind paywalls.
Classic Tony
Just say you’re too incompetent to lock in💯
I might try to get into it later but I'm just surprised it managed to have a worse new player experience then destiny 2
All this yapping and Chrome still won't try the final shape. Crazy
Damn, I left Destiny at the perfect time, things just got too repetitive, and there was no reason to bring Cayde back, making the Forsaken storyline pointless
Yes, that is the end of this now...
The journey is already over for me. I already killed The Witness. Any other big baddy after this pale in comparison.
Seasonal Content and Vaulting Ruined Destiny let's be honest, I am glad Sunsetting was reversed, something it shouldn't have happened in the first place
I hope they bring back The Red War Campaign, Forsaken Campaign and old destinations back, I also hope they retire from Seasonal Content coz they are gonna go away in a year or so
iv played d2 for 10 years. its dead.. echoes are extra crispy boring. and everyone's playing first descendant rn. love destiny bt ill be back when they announce destiny 3.

I agree with your take on witch queen being a slightly better story but man let me tell you it’s by a slight margin and after all the gameplay and QoL changes I think TFS is just the overall better expansion
Final shape was good but I enjoyed rise of iron more
Yeah I hate Destiny as much as I hate myself.
Great video, 'Master Rahoul out of 10'
“This was (TFS) the worst DLC launch ever”…. are ya new to destiny??
So here is my take:
While Warframe excels in providing a lot of content, it lacks the challenge that Destiny offers, notably in Raids and Dungeons.
D2 has been a part-time job nobody wanted, It's a damn shame, cause the potential was there for greatness.
to think that you say the people who hate D2 the most are D2 players… wow.

Also prismatic is not a "new subclass" I shouldn't have to pay to use the abilities I already know again.
both halo and destiny are dead, cause they got no soul
It's good, but it's no Rise of Iron
Legit they should've one more expansion to finish the light dark since lightfall was so utter trash. I left at curse came back at witch queen then left a session of the plunder. The seasons just became so trash and recycled. Shit even episodes is trash. Goated take
The Expansion and Raid was trash. It was a poor rehash of Season of Haunted. We only got 1 new strike, when we should’ve got 3/4. We didn’t face any new Disciples.
Anthem was a good game but they f it up

I disagree, The Witch Queen was amazing but Final Shape story was so full of pay offs that it felt extremely satisfying.
God damn people complain like its a full time job.
Last episode was another gay narrative about osiris and the other gay guy. Soo boring nobody wanna play a game about gay "romance"
??? The episode is about the vex. Why the hell do you care about Osiris sexuality, it barely even makes much of an appearance outside of a cutscene or two
@@zachattackx288 gay romance=🤮🤮🤮🤮🙄

Don’t get me wrong, the raid and gameplay was really fun, but the story just wasn’t as good as witch queen, even lore wise,
The campaign was carried by cayde and crow.
Warframe is still better than destiny. Always has been. It’s always been free to play unlike destiny which is still not free to play. Only Bungo shills disagree
I respect your opinion honestly but ngl i see no one talking about war frame, that explains all i need to know.
I get that in youre eyes it's the better game . But for me destiny 2 is the better game , only because i like the game it feels more fun
If Warframe would've first person OG Destiny wouldn't have survived.

Not a good send off and hell it isn't even a true send off, still 3 episodes to go
Wrong it’s not dead
I tried to like destiny 2 but there’s just too much content that requires a full team with mics.
I don’t wanna hear some nerd blabbing about a relic on the mic.Thsts not why I play games ……
I hate that other game forgot the name but it’s free to play.
Elden ring base +dlc was a savior for me.1,300 hrs and still loving it.
