If you could revive one of these cancelled projects, which would it be? Personally, I’d revive the Batgirl film. I know the test screening state it was pretty bad, but I think it still deserves to be seen. It can’t be that bad….at least not as bad as Catwoman.
Even if it was terrible, I believe it should have been released on HBO as an Elseworlds story. People worked hard on the movie, and no matter how bad it is, it should not be hidden from the public.
Once again, keep in mind that many of these projects could be revived for the DCU under Gunn and Safran. An example of this is 'The Amazons' spin-off, which has been reworked into 'Paradise Lost.'

I love how WB executives say they didn't release Batgirl because it was a "bad movie" and it would "damage the DC brand" and yet they still have the nerve to release a Flash movie starring a known criminal in the main role
Yeah the movie has alot of bad press going on, but the reason they are going ahead with it, is cause unlike Batgirl, everyone at WB feels Flash is a great movie, one of the best they've done in a while, so i think they hope the fact this is a great film is enough to fix/help the brand, even though there is a big elephant in the room called Ezra.

"cancelled because WB had no interest" seems to have robbed us of a lot of cool films. the wonder twins one was a bad idea but everything else was more than reasonable, they have so many characters to chose. Plastic man couldve been the equivalent of Deadpool in the MCU for the humor tone. batman beyond is also worth it, such an iconic character. the jared leto joker movie wouldve been fine if there was a good script attached to it. Zack wanted the atom to be set with chinese elements, not a problem, shang chi was a good movie with solid east asian representation. god knows wtf was going on at WB for them to fumble this hard.

Since who would throw a bigger fuss over the Kyptonian invasion would seem like the the kinda thing they would deal with. Like its one thing where it's okay invading something in your quadrant thats just regular space stuff is one but krypton to Earth was way out the sector for invasion/refugees.
The fact that we lost out on "Man of Steel 2" is frustrating. Henry Cavill had a passion for the character he was playing, and Christopher McQuarrie could've been a good fit for the director's chair if Snyder wasn't coming back. WB's lack of interest in making a Superman film during this time period was straight up incompetent. I'm all for spotlighting lesser-known characters, but people still want to see the heavy-hitters.

The Blackhawks movie was being developed around 2018. A time where WB was really embracing disconnected universes and films that only loosely tied to the dceu. The Batman, Joker, Titans, Swamp Thing, Birds of Prey, Doom Patrol, etc. Blackhawk’s could have been a DCEU film but I think it was else-worlds. Stylistically, I believe the film would have been completely outside what comic book films typically do similar to the joker movie. Which I think reinforces the idea that it was else-worlds.

The reason I say this is due to David Zaslav stating that they are no longer going to invest in straight to streaming HBO max films and since Static Shock was an HBO Max DC film its clear it’s not happening any time soon. Any MOS sequel after Black Adam would've been The Rock Presents Superman and would've probably been directed by the director of Red Notice or something. We're much better off with Gunn's universe.

In Suicide Squad we actually see the Joker only when he kidnapped a family of the scientist and hijacked helicopter. All other scenes were Harley's corrupted memories (he has metal teeth there, while Batman ruined his smile only after death of the Robin). Joker also stated that he was changed by Harleen's treatment, so my guess, we see him in the movie during his turning into full psycho Joker. He was classic gangster Joker, then after HQ messed with his brain, he started to became more and more evil and his peak evolution was shown in Batman's Knightmare, where he has no gangster features at all.

Batgirl was cancelled 2 months before James Gunn became in charge of DC so that’s not the reason.

I agree that the film is kind of unnecessary but I do believe it has the right to be seen no matter how bad it is.
