All of your concerns are valid about the pilot lifestyle but hear me out. As a former flight attendant myself turned pilot, it’s something I thought about for 5 solid months and spoke to pilots everyday about before going to flight school and pulling the trigger on that 100k loan. In ANY profession you’re going to meet people that are miserable. However, there are more pilots that love their job than not. And the flight attendant lifestyle is the exact SAME as a pilot. You still interact with guests to a capacity but you also interact with ramp agents, gate agents, ATC, Operations as a pilot. That 100k loan will pay itself off eventually. The airlines need pilots! It’s an investment in yourself and your future and some people are getting to the airlines in less than 3 years. My classmate when we finished school instead of instructing got a job flying Lear Jets. It’s not common but there are other jobs besides instructing. If anything take lessons Part 61 and slowly ease your way into flying and pay as you go. I WISH I started flying at a younger age. All my classmates were 23 and I was 30 years old. Many pilots start as flight attendants so maybe you’ll still have the urge to want to fly and switch sides later on. Anyways, that’s the end of my rant lol Good luck on your new career!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a well thought out comment.
That’s pretty much my plan! I LOVE flying. The inside of a cockpit is the best place place in the world, so it’s definitely where I want to end up. Going the FA route is a way for me to expand my horizons, as well as earn money to pay as I go at a Part 61. Thanks again ♥️

Would you recommend getting a degree before starting training? I’m a senior in high school and unsure if I should take the college route or straight to flight school route with no college. Should I get a degree in something else so I could have a back up?

@@gbma3241Do you want to go to college? Do you have the money to afford college combined with flight training? If you answered no to one or both of those questions, I wouldn’t recommend doing college.
