- It has been a couple of weeks now since Riley Strain was tragically located in the Cumberland River in Nashville, Tennessee, and since Riley Strain was located his family has had many questions surrounding the investigation. So much so, they have now hired a Private Investigator to further the investigation efforts. However, in a new interview with News Nation, Private Investigator Steve Fischer, went into detail on how he is not getting the cooperation he had hoped for from law enforcement and the community.

You know, this whole reason to shut down the investigation could be to keep tourists coming to the city. If it's an accident, it's a convenient excuse not to shoo people away from the bars. But if it's a crime, oh, it just turns everything upside down. It makes the city look dangerous and might keep people from coming. One possible theory. Remember the disappearance of two Netherlands girls in Panama. The authorities preferred to close the investigation and claimed it was an accident. Tourism....

City hall doesn’t want to admit their soft on crime, hands off approach to the criminal and homeless problem puts tourists and residents at risk. I pray they stay on it to get answers they deserve. I lost my Son in 2012, and still don't know why. It has destroyed me. The coroner had it in his head that my son over dosed. It was like I told them, he didn't do drugs.I fought them for 9 months to get the toxicology. Like I said, clean. It has just about killed me. I know I have to fight for my living child, but it is hard. If God weren't carrying me I would be a raving maniac. Riley's parents know him well and they deserve to be heard.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I don't understand these people. They see us in denial and we can be sometimes. But we know our kids better than anybody if we're close to them. I live in Nashville. A lot of moms here with sons felt kicked in the stomach. The press made it sound like nothing was missing. He looked drugged. He was a good kid. Called his mom several times a day. Sounds like he might have been robbed and thrown into the river. Sickening story. His poor family.
Ya and I don't know why such a disregard of all the suspicious things. I think the bar is playing a part in trying to save their reputation. It sickens me Nashville is acting like this. I hope they know we do not all agree with the outcome they claim.

It wouldn't surprise me if it turns out to be drink was drugged and in a hazing-like event Riley died and to cover it all up the frat brothers threw his body in the river. Not one searched, assisted the family or was present in locating Riley. They disappeared.

I'm really thinking that his frat brothers are covering up something. We have not heard any interviews from them or the University for that matter. If it was my good brother for life, I would be doing everything possible to help find him. Instead they all left Nashville, Lawyered UP, and continued with Greek Week when they got back. All that time, their fraternity brother is missing

As his remains were coming out of the water , law enforcement was already announcing no foul play . They must think the public is stupid . At that time the body hadn’t even arrived at the medical examiner, or toxicity obtained. Big coverup to make Nashville Tourism appear like a safe place to visit . The PI is very smart, he has a site on X or what used to be Twitter. He advocates for victims and their families 💯

I wasn't suspicious of his frat brothers until the family friend who interviewed on the pascal show stated that NONE of them has spoken to the family, and when asked what happened that night their response was "talk to our attorney." Now I'm suspicious that something went down that night that shouldn't have and they are worried they might be held liable.

I am a Native Nashvillian and Nashville is changing for the worse, I think because people have moved here from other states and are now the voting majority. They have elected the wrong people. Nashville is short police officers, at one time 160 officers short. It appears that the city wants this to go down as a drunk guy that fell into the river. I think partly because they dont want tourists to think he was killed and partly to cover up the bad decision to allow homeless encampments in a tourist area.
Luke better get a lawyer. I smell a lawsuit coming.

I think the police officer that seen Riley should be investigated. It doesn’t make sense that the PD wouldn’t do everything they could to help the parents. Who are they protecting?
Agree and if he was really down there investigating reports of cars being broken into, why wouldn't he quesion Riley as a possible suspect or witness?
Check the cameras from the hotel and you will get the information you need.The fraternity was involved and they knew he had information on them.

Earlier today, News Nation released a video where Chris Dingman reports that they spoke with the homeless man that last saw Riley and said basically that he was really drunk. So that story hasn’t changed. Chris also said that the detention center where Riley would have passed if he continued onto the next bridge, will release footage that they have from four different video cameras.
Lie detector on all last homeless guys that saw him.

Very sad and bizarre. LE were convinced he was in the water. (Fair enough LE originally claimed both his watch and phone stopped working/signaling by 10:58pm. And, Riley was last seen on camera exiting from underneath the bridge by ~10:55pm - 10:56pm. Up straight, fully clothed and appears to be holding and looking at his phone.)
Thus, original *search area* should/could have been easy to pin point to begin not only searching for Riley but, looking for clues or possibilities. A 2 - 3 minute window of time before "falling in" per LE's theory. *So, why were searches never started there?* To first show if that theory were even possible. What was the terrain 2-3 minutes away? And, if he "fell" would he have been anywhere near water after doing so? Some of the drops are quite high and some not as much. If he fell straight down at some heights he may have potentially died on impact ... but, remained on land. (But, would the phone have necessarily somehow landed in water if still in his hand; and not his pocket. Shutting off both phone & watch.) But, when or how does personal body go into the water?

According to the family friend who did a lengthy interview on the Pascal Show - speaking on behalf of the family - the fraternity brothers have NEVER told the family what happened that night. They haven't told the family anything at all! They went home from that weekend and the first thing they did was get an attorney to represent them!

For instance, who was the other body that was found a day before Riley's body was found?! Why didn't the owner of that bar make a statement or tried to help with the search ?! WHY wasn't some of the Fraternity Brothers interviewed?! Good luck finding answers, because half the criminals in Nashville work for "law enforcement ".
I live right outside of Nashville- my first thought is it’s 2024 - every building should have a camera. When the debit card was found on the shore, it really confused me. And now the whole other part of missing items, really worries me that it was foul play. 😢. I lost my 24 year old son eight years ago - I hope they really get more answers, to have closure.

I am not buying that it's an accident. The frat boys keeping silent is very fishy. And LE won't investigate since it hurts tourism. Lessons learned from this case is to never go to Nashville for any reason, and if you have a good son with a bright future ahead of him, never let him join a fraternity.

Why has Luke's 32 Bar been so quick to dismiss Riley's ejection from their bar without ever explaining what the bad behavior was or backing it up with any video footage to justify the the action the bar took
I think it needs to be made more clear which doorway Riley was ejected from because originally I heard he was let out of the rear entrance of the bar which would have confused anyone visiting at any level of intoxication as to what direction they should go to return home

Murder is personal and his body showed no injuries. This is sadly a very tragic drowning. His boots would have fallen off in the water and if his pants had been undone, they would have fallen off as well. His body traveled 8 miles in heavy current in a murky river with a lot of debris. Dry drowning would explain no water in his lungs. It's just a very tragic loss of a young man with such a promising future. My heart breaks 💔 for this family 😢
Supposedly someone from the Idaho 4 case was in town at the same time and he was also a frat boy! Hmmm and how many kids have been killed in frats and sororities over the last couple of years?
