I believe it happened to me years ago. I only drank half of the drink and could barely walk out. Thank God I had friends helping me.
I’ve had it happen twice too. Once at a wedding another time at a wine bar. I finished my second glass of wine and my friend found me outside laying down in the fetal position on the sidewalk

It was reported several times over that when his girlfriend texted him, his text response to her made no sense, his response being only two words that appeared misspelled . So although indeed he was able to use his phone to send a text, the problem only lied in typing what he wished to say.

@@emac543I've never tasted any rum or liquor that tastes like Bar - B - Que. Nothing I've drank ever tasted like that. I do think that someone in his group thought it would be funny to give Riley something to see his reaction because they had never seen him be much of a party person.
If he was roofied it would have no taste or at worse it might be bitter or salty but never heard anyone say it tasted like bbq sauce. BBQ sauce is smoky, sweet and tangy. Dark rum might have a smoky flavor. Was dark rum stored in plastic for a long time, as this could give a salty flavor? Or his drink was spiked with something else. The ethylene glycol in anti-freeze is syrupy sweet BUT anti-freeze would have had some bitter components added as a safety precaution. Did he drink too much and get alcoholic ketoacidosis which could affect his taste receptors "chemosensory perception"? Sometimes frats drink ungodly amounts. Update: Some girl from Tennessee prolly nailed it, she said there is a "kurveball whiskey" that is super strong and tastes like BBQ sauce. He probably had to much and accidentally fell or was pushed in the water. My neighbor was a young man who was drunk and in a boat on a pond in the dark and it flipped and he drowned. His friend made it to shore and jept screaming for him to swim. He was too drunk to try and find his friend and end up drowning as well. Sad for the family, years later the drowned boy's father who was a brilliant professor ended up with dementia. It's been so sad for the mother and sisters. Sheet happens.

It’s so unfortunate for this gorgeous young man, who reminds me so much of my 15 yo son, but I’m so glad she’s found the strength to fight for truth. I’ve said since day 1, he was roofied and potentially mugged, if not his frat brothers involvement. Definitely 💯% foul play involved. I’ve been roofied and kidnapped. I also said that the feeling of being roofied your mind can function properly, while your body on the other hand loses control. This explains his conversation with the officer. I would be demanding the time his frat brothers left the bars, demanding footage from the night inside the bar, etc. I also said once he’s found they’ll call it accidental and refuse to investigate properly. I get it, they have other obligations, but if it was their child their outlook would be like his mother. Keep fighting for answers and justice! 🙏 ❤

Seems to me like his frat brothers were all too happy for Riley to leave alone ..... like they knew exactly what was going on with him because .... they knew. All due respect to Riley and it’s no excuse but maybe he was annoying when drinking and the frat brothers obviously didn’t care enough about him. He said or did something to get removed from the bar. This is heartbreaking and could have been prevented if just one of those boys cared enough to be with him.

It was reported that he was looking at his phone while walking. It is believed he tried to find his hotel by using GPS on his phone. His hotel was The Tempo Hotel but it looked like he was following a route to a BUSINESS named Tempo which wasn't far from where he was last seen. The whole thing is sad. He was really trying to find his way

I don’t think he stumbled into the river. There is a chain-linked fence as a barrier to prevent access to the river from the walkway that Riley was on as he passed the police officer.

Sounds like he was served Kurveball Whiskey. In Nashville, it's common to order it with Dr. Pepper, but some prefer it with Coke. It has a noticeable bbq flavor that can catch you off guard if you aren't expecting it. Makes way more sense than a BBQ flavored drug. Definitely a sad situation, and I hope the family gets the closure they need.

Well, I’m a Nashville native and I’m very familiar with that area in videos. I’m a cyclist and I ride with a Christian group that delivers food to the homeless in that area. Many of them are following this case and say something is fishy. I’m suspicious regarding the drink, as well as the following actions, or lack there of, of his frat bros. His family has brought this up and I can tell you that they are correct that he couldn’t have fallen down that embankment without suffering numerous lacerations. Something’s not right…..I hope the TBI gets involved if they’re not already. Rip Riley

I’m not a physicist/chemist or anything, but based on ingredients of Rum, coke, and sleeping medicine (which is frequently used for roofy drug and easy to get ahold of) I’m thinking this might explain bbq taste, but consider all ingredients in all roofing drugs. Talk to his college and a physicist/chemist at that
Usually benzos have a salty taste or no taste at all ..this is how they are able to be hidden in the alcohol.If it is the first drink of the night then one may notice an off taste...but if several drinks in...nope...or if given a drink like the kurveball whiskey with Dr.Pepper...this would mask the saltiness. Remember Dr.Pepper has an old school cough syrup taste to it ....I'm patiently waiting on toxicology.

The family needs to get this very specific PI on the case. He lost his own daughter, and has devoted his life to helping families. Anyways, this is a terrible way to describe who he is (bc don’t remember his name)…. But he was the man that solved the case of the little girl that was sucked into a hotel pools drainage system recently. I’m just little old me so no clue how to get that message to the family, but I think that’s who they need. He is passionate and every dollar would be worth it

i remember being extremely drunk in college but aware. one time I mixed alcohol with a drug and completely lost control of my behavior and surroundings and blocked out. i learned the next day my friends put me to bed. i don’t remember any of it. never did drugs again. i think that’s what happened- he mixed alcohol and drugs perhaps unknowingly and lost control with no one to help him

I'm sure there are many different kinds of roofy.. Many many years ago I was roofied at a show.. nothing tasted suspicious, but I started feeling terrible.. so I left.. got in my car. I woke up after getting out of surgery. I glitched out and drove into a brick building.

I heard the story like this....Riley was escorted out of a back door for being rowdy..The others tried to follow but the bar made them pay their tab and leave out the front door, when they got outside Riley was gone. That is very believable except for one thing.. EVERYONE...didn't have to stay behind to pay...SOMEONE could have met Riley outside.

If you dig in just a little you will find many cases like this involving young men nationwide and they all end up in a body of water. It’s been going on since the early 00’s and I believe it started in Minnesota and some relate it to the smiley face. Idk but it’s all very strange and scary.

That poor mamma. A young man was killed in a car accident a few years ago and his mom hanged herself a year or so later. Just... they also were very close. So sad. Just so so sad.
I was roofied 15 years ago in a bar. I was with my son and another friend. Some random guy tried sending me a drink, I declined. He then came to our table with his friends and a round of shots for everyone. Thank God my son was there, I don't remember anything after that. He caught me being led outside by the random guy and I have no memory of anything.

Based on trauma and brains reaction, I would assume it was because of the sheer shock and grief of her mental state. Once she began to come down from that stage of trauma, her mind would stop dissociating as much and begin to remember things that it didn’t before. all assumptions of course

I thought from the beginning he was roofied. He had 1 drink, and 2 waters at the bar. Then 20 min later they threw him out... pretty strange... maybe someone put lsd in his drink or something like that. Could be how he ended up in the river.

I can't see someone putting a flavored drug into someone's drink. The intent is they will drink it without noticing a change in flavor, not wrinkle their nose and dump it down the sink.
