Family speaks out with updates in Riley Strain's case...
The University of Missouri student had been cut off by the bartender at Luke Bryan’s bar, 32 Bridge Food + Drink, after he was overserved, Strain’s stepfather Chris Whiteid said. A friend of Strain’s attempted to leave the bar with him as security led Strain out of the bar around 9:30 p.m., but the security team would not let him out at that point, according to Strain’s stepfather.

If so, I want you to know that I will stand and support you because I do not want Riley's case lost among the headlines. I want to find answers and see this family get closure.
That's crazy. I guess it's just out of sight, out of mind now? There's a family still grieving and desperate for answers. That's not how we do true crime. You don't come for the suspense and take off when the grief strikes.
Good for you for speaking up and keeping the awareness going and for letting them know what happened to you. I agree with the other commenter, I think you should inform the Mods and if the bullying comments are still there where you can access them, you should write the names of the profiles that were involved and give that to the mods as well so that can keep a close eye on certain comments coming through.
Hope this never happens to you again but let me know if there's anything I can do for you and if I ever notice anyone giving you a hard time, I got your back. I will say something to them about it, not just watch it happen. ( not referencing the mods. That's a super busy job and it's hard to see everything that's going on the entire time. I mean the others in chat shouldn't ignore that when they see it )

That's the only reason the LE want to shut down any negative publicity relating to Riley's passing, other than an accident. Unfortunately, this isn't an uncommon reaction to crime and tourist towns.

I understand that it takes resources to look into this and resources cost money but come on. When something is so widely known that locals avoid the area and out of towners come through unaware they are sitting ducks and people are losing their lives, why haven't the TBI or whoever put together an under cover operation and stop this once and for all instead of letting ppl die and ruling it an accident or intoxication so that their tourist revenue doesn't fall.
I mean hell, you locals have children they may not even be aware of the issue that could fall victim just by simply having a fun night out with friends. Do they not even care about the welfare of their own community. Between the widespread roofieing and the high volume of ppl that go missing there it's becoming extremely concerning even for us outsiders about the safety of all of you that reside there. They need to get that roofie stuff stopped. I can't imagine doing that to someone. Especially being paid money to slip something in someone's drink that is trusting me to prepare it. That's insane. I think anyone that goes to the area for a night out better stick with unopened bottles and hold them the entire time.

@@KatSpade1018 thank you for your kind words. I thought when I saw Rileys footage that he was not just intoxicated. I wondered if he was harmed . They were only at Luke’s Bar for 21 minutes before Riley was escorted out. That made no sense to me . There are strips you can buy that you can put in your drink to test it. Sadly some reports are saying some bartenders are doing these things. I will do anything to advocate on behalf of this issue . In my opinion it’s attempted homicide because no one knows the final effect their actions can have on a person .
Nashville is a big city with so many wonderful things to offer visitors. This all happened on one street. And by the way, things like this happen all over the country.

Mr. Chris Dingman, it's nice to see you. I'm sorry for the circumstances, of course, but you are an absolute pleasure, Sir. Everyone needs a Chris Dingman as their family friend!
Please let Mr. & Mrs. Whiteid and Mr. & Mrs. Strain know that there are people out here still thinking of them everyday. They are so loved and speaking for myself, I am here to show my support for them until they have all the answers to their questions and beyond. What a kind loving family. Because of them as well as yourself I feel as tho I've lost a friend even tho I didn't even know Riley before this tragedy. There's a sense of loss in my heart for him.
I am anxious to hear the M.E. results. Not as much the state's results. No offense to the state specifically, I just feel more confident in an independent examiner with no ties to the family or the state agency. I feel they may be a little more thorough as well. It will be interesting to compare the results of both places tho.
I really hope that Tennessee will keep this case open and continue to look into it. This isn't an issue of grieving parents that can't accept that it's an accident. These are grieving parents that have no definitive proof of an accident as well as some very disturbing and unexplained details. No parent is going to accept that it's an accident or foul play without some proof to back it up and it's by far not just the family that is questioning that.
The circumstances involved are just looking very bizarre and I hope that the family will continue to search for the final truth. Even if there needs to be privately obtained investigators working just to keep this from going cold and actually find the resolution so that everyone isn't left not knowing. That is a terrible place to be and Riley's family deserves to know beyond any doubt what happened to their son. He could have called for emergency help with his apple watch. He didn't. That doesn't make sense. His missing items haven't washed up anywhere. I find that concerning as well as the debit card being on the river bank not in his wallet or shirt pocket. That is odd. Plus, sound amplifies near water. If he'd accidentally have fallen in, someone would have had to hear him calling out frantically for help. The accident theory just doesn't add up for me.
I pray for the family's strength and that they will find the answers they seek.
Oh and I'm sorry but the behavior of the "friends" that night as well as the days following are absolutely shameful! To see the agony in Riley's Mama's face as she recounted the day of the formal and the day of the vigil the friends attended was heartbreaking to witness and I know there were many of us Mamas that wear crying along with her in compassion. She is such a kind person that is living the worst nightmare and those friends had no regard and no time for her and no concern for their missing friend. The friend that THEY lost. I told my sons 22 & 20 the entire story, they run with the same friend group. They were floored about Riley's friends. The not walking him to the hotel and ensuring his safety, the attending of the formal, not searching for their friend so they could run around with the others there on the trip, not telling the parents of the vigil until it's starting 3 hours away. They were disgusted and said that's not at all what you do to your friend or their family. This wouldn't have happened if they would have simply gotten him back safely to hotel. How hard is that to do. Especially knowing he's not in a clear state of mind and is in a strange city. What the hell were they thinking. I apologize it's just very upsetting to know how easily this could have been prevented if ppl would have just stepped up and behaved like REAL friends.

Agreed. I have a slim 22 year old son who like Riley always needs to wear a belt to keep his pants up. There's absolutely no way the river pulled off those belted pants or the cowboy boots, but his boxers and socks stayed on. My opinion huge Nashville PD coverup going on since Day 1.

I’ve literally followed this from day 1 and cried so many tears for Riley and his loved ones…what infuriates me is how the police department has failed them and I’d love to know how they would feel if it was their child!

I did hear about the receipt where Riley bought beer and 2 waters from his dad, Chris @ Luke's 32 on News Nation. Apparently, he ordered Coke and rum and maybe somebody else was buying a round of drinks? Any more updated news on the person wearing a cowboy hat that saw Riley being assisted in the river? I was so glad Chris addressed this footage I shared the footage information that has plunder has shared to the Facebook group the 2 hours. I’m glad there is more to go on from what he’s saying! It was very grainy and hard to tell if he could be one of the people walking on each side of the fenced off part because his shirt could look black or white depending on which way he was faced. I’m just glad there’s something else

I think I found a lead on a video. I found it in a comment section that stated Aidan Mattis found video of Riley froze @ the point of him falling during the editing process. Go to the "the lore lodge" the title is What we know about Riley Strain mystery so far (it doesn't add up). I don't know if it's B.S. Might be worth checking it out to be sure. I was looking on Google maps and in the area between the 2 bridges - to the right is the river and to the left is a parking garage.

People from the homeless encampment have said that Riley didn't go into their area, but the MNPD said that Riley wasn't seen on camera after the second bridge.
The only way both of those statements could be true is if he either got picked up by a car, or if he went into the parking garage (presumably to be picked up by a car).
However, the homeless person said he saw Riley stumbling into the fence and kept walking past the second bridge, but that contradicts the police statements. So one or both of them are lying.
I'm looking at the entrance to the parking garage now and there doesn't appear to be any cameras on the outside. Someone said they know there's a blind spot between cameras by the stairs (right next to the parking garage)

Patterns are signature's. Things are not random in this case. There are too many patterns.
Nashville PD have been useless in this case. My opinion, its been a cover up from the beginning because Downtown Nashville is dangerous. They were very quick to say rhey didnt suspect foul play, that it was an accident and they didn't feel the river was involved before they knew anything. That is a cover up to make crime rates appear lower. Nashville revenue depends on the downtown area and the last thing they wanted was for people to know how dangerous that area is. They came up with absolutely nothing in Riley's disappearance. The debit card and Riley's body were found by citizens. That river area is known to be crime ridden. Intoxicated people often get lost over there as told by some of the homeless living along that river. 2 or 3 other bodies washed up in that river just while they were searching for Riley. You'd be hard pressed to convince me that this wasn't a cover up. Seems anyone that goes missing in the state of Tennessee is never found, Sebastian Rogers, Summer Wells, etc. Makes you wonder.

Just looking for how they target...bar kicks them out, makes friends pay bill. Issue started there, imo...same for others? Did surveillance show sudden difference? His mom said he said drink tasted funny? What did she say he called it? Peppery? I can't remember, but it is on video.

He was pleasant to the officer, next, we saw two different cop CARS, in the foot patrol office location area...Several seconds were 'missing', why? Where is the original footage? I personally have been roofoed by security 'we pur your beer intto a to go cup'...soon it was b K urry and aa taxi was stalking me, and telling me Ii needed him....he knew! 2 yrs later, same scam on a girlfriend...She wrestled, and screamed her friends ran over and he fled. We are 2 local gals. It was later reported he was beheaded. Car-tel protects us....Does the bar have a gig going with cops? We need inside film. Was it a frat gig, by 'alumni?' Their loyalty is never over...Keep moving up in wealth and status in the organization?

Idk. I just really hope this doesn't end up like the Kiely Rodni case. Ya know, the whole, "yeah, it's sketchy, but come one be real. She was drunk af, drove into the reservoir, and drowned." They said. But there is no evidence in the toxicology report that pointed to her being drunk, we said.
There was a party, of course they we're drunk, they said. But there is no evidence of the party we said. Etc, etc, etc.

We saw, very clearrly, two different cop csrs circling Riley....right where he said 'hi'....and, the video is misssing some seconds right then...why? Is that why it took 12 days for videeo to be released during his search? Did the original copy remain elsewhere? What cops released, was altered, when cops were near him. Why?
