- Authorities in Sumner County say the are scaling back the search effort for 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers who went missing one week ago. The case is now an investigation considering foul play.
I have had it with all the horrible things being done to our children. It has got to stop.

Authorities always know more than they say...they can never tell what they know because it will compromise their investigation...come on if you have water any crime shows or investigations like this people should already know this.Their is a child involved..an autistic child at that.

This breaks my heart. My grandson is 15 and HFA. He has a lot of kids his age that bully him. I pray they find him safe.
None of his shoes are missing? I thought he was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, etc. How could that be if he disappeared overnight like that? WTH? And, why is this information only just now coming out? No shoes? That's important information!
They have said since day one that all his shoes were accounted for at the home

I’m very concerned his stepfather got upset with him & killed him. Autistic children can be challenging. I hope I am wrong about his stepfather & this precious young man, but I feel sick to my stomach that something terrible has happened to him! There should have been evidence that he left, & there isn’t any.

Poor child. I have an autistic teen grandson. He is high functioning as they say. Age 16 but became an Actual EAGLE SCOUT over a yr ago. But hes Rare weve been told in autistic children. But he still often is socially awkward n naive. Like this child is. I sense a bad outcome but still pray he will come home alive.

In the interview , the mom says she went to his room to look at 6am he was nowhere to be found, Called stepdad then Police. Then they are talking on and on and then the mom says it herself, He was laughing and joking That morning. Well was he home or not ?? Stepfather: Between 12 and 6 he vanished and walked out the door. How dies he know the hours? Did he see him walk out the door?

On a less disturbing note, one thing that came to mind.....maybe consider attics, basements, crawlspaces and hidden rooms in the house. Their house has stairs...almost all homes with stairs have areas under the stairs, closet space, storage, little compartments.
Maybe it's innocent and he found himself a little hideaway, his own little personal fort, his own space and had been secretly setting it up and he "moved in" to it since he couldn't "move out" at 15...but didn't leave the house. He slips out when they're asleep. Then all the police presence and he's not coming out because he thinks they called the cops on him or something and he's in trouble.
I'm a mom of 3 sons, all adults now, but there was an incident where one of them decided to the room under the stairs would make a great hide out and he hid out and scared the crap out of me...but he was easily found because I'd looked there. Had he figured out how to get up in the attic it never would've occurred to me that'd be a spot he might've discovered and claimed as his personal space.
I'm assuming LEO looked into that possibility but in case not, pass it along. Maybe he's never left....and he's fine. But thinks he's in trouble so he's hiding out for real.

For literally 8 days straight, I have had to see story after story of missing children and worse...and most of them have turned out to be a complete failure of the adults around the child to protect them from evil, and others have been the parents themselves. One thing that is obvious is....Adults are failing children way to commonly now, and it just feels like it can't all be just coincidence.

This boy is smart. If he wanted to disappear 1 he planned carefully as heck and 2 he had to have help to be that good. This is 3 letter agency agent disappearing kind of good. Something is up. Its made national headlines several times over abd he aint found??? Hes either an aided runaway or his parents did something.

I’ve never believed he left home alive. I’ve suspected the mother…based on her interview. She said something odd to me…and I’m a mother of an Autistic son…she said for him to come back home and that he wouldn’t be in trouble when he did. She just admitted there that he would have reasons to think he would get in trouble by her….which means she punishes him a lot or shows her anger a lot…..otherwise he would have no reason to think he would get in trouble upon returning. This reveals that her personality isn’t the sweet quiet woman she’s acting like in the interview. The mother said the stepfather was out of town working….so this would mean she was alone with the boy and last one to see him. She also made a statement that he left out the front door and it was locked…as a mom of an Autistic son I am always listening even when I’m sleeping….how did she not hear him open the door and leave…or shut the door….Autistic kids aren’t quiet when they do things….he wouldn’t have shut the door quietly. My son slams every door in the house that he closes…even when everyone is asleep because he can’t do it quietly. Also Autistic children have trouble leaving without things they love….they have attachments to certain things and wouldn’t leave to go live somewhere else without taking those things…most won’t leave without their shoes either…they are very picky about things like that. But this boy didn’t take anything…not his cellphone…not his shoes or anything else he held dear. Either the mother did this….or she’s covering for the stepfather…and that makes her bad either way.

Someone that knew him did something to him possibly before they say they last saw him.. There is more to the story and they are too calm mom and step dad are too calm..
If he was gone when she went to wake him up at 6am, how was he laughing and joking that morning as she said, they have combed over that day???
He vanished out of a locked door? That is the biggest bunch of crap I've ever heard. Do they think the cops are stupid? Stepfather is sus and doesn't seem to have any depth of emotions in the interviews. Expect to see more missing kids in the Bible Belt now that Roe was overturned.

My great grandson is autistic. While he can be a real pistol sometimes, he’s very smart. He is computer literate, has a cellphone, has been reading since a very early age--before he even started school. He programmed the smart tv, & more. Each child is different. My little guy doesn’t feel physical pain but panics or shuts down if he yelled at or put in a new situation. He loved to read, play games, read books & play with his dogs. I pray Sebastian is found safe and returned to his mother.

I'm trying my best to stay positive but this is the 3rd disappearance in 2 weeks and 2 of the disappearances were caused by the person whom they lived with😢. Continuous prayers that this will be a happy ending, I can't take another RIP comment 😢.

I remember there was that autistic boy who went missing in Indiana last year, and he was found a block away from his home; he had run away bcz of abuse.

“The door was locked” no signs of breaking and entering, that’s highly suspicious, and easy determination. Only someone with access inside the home, or with a key took him. Wtf?? Both parents seem to know more.

This is soo sad I have so many questions how does a boy just vanish.. since they went over all cameras in area have they looked at vehicles and have they all been vetted. I'm praying that he is found. This is soo sad and this hurts my heart I have a baby that's on the spectrum and we are always watching her every move. I just can't imagine the pain his parents are going through.

After several days, I felt he had either been looking at the water, and fell in, or (as someone mentioned) in a car in a nearby impound lot. I can’t prove there’s one nearby, but I assumed the comment was from someone who knew. They advised checking hiding places like a car or car’s trunk. After a few cold nights, he may have sought warmth.
I hope and pray he is alive and safe! If not, he’s in a better place…Either way, prayers for his parents!

What was his fascination? There is often one focus. Could he have been seeking that? The song was a good try, The trouble is he could be afraid of dogs so he could refrain from answering if he hears them in the search. I’m sure the police are assuming anything is possible. So incredibly rural an area. Water would be a concern. Drowning is a danger. Did dad or a grandparent want custody? I hope the time line wrong and he left the home much earlier than though so they can catch him on the ring cameras people have and are led to him. Middle of the night and the cameras would pick up nothing. If it was earlier maybe at least an idea the direction he went or clue to why out in the first place.

A 16 yr old boy left his home on July 4th of last year. Even after a $50,000 reward offered, there has been no leads. He was grounded the night before. Didn't take his phone or wallet, but did take a pistol from his dad's safe. He lives close to I-40 and in alot of very open country. The parents searched the 1st couple of weeks and then stopped. Funny that the video showing him take the gun didn't have a time stamp and the camera at the front door wasn't working. Parents called and reported him missing about 4 hours after they think he left, early morning. Why would they do that so soon? This boy was very loved and cared about by everyone in this tiny town. It's very tight and nobody is saying a word, but the several outlining communities think the parents are guilty. LE kind of dropped the ball and didn't preserve any evidence in the event that this is criminal. Dad was fire chief so of course they wouldn't suspect him.
I don't understand how these kids just keep up and disappearing, but we're finding out that the parents are always guilty.
When did Sebastian's stepdad leave to go out of town for his job? I'm sure LE has info in regards to this and this is why the nature of the investigation has changed. I just hope I'm wrong.
Um! So he went to bed and in the morning mom finds him missing. So she calls her boyfriend first before the police.? Was there a sign that the door was open. What time did he go to sleep and what time did she check on him in the morning. I pray this isn’t another fake tears while her son all of a sudden vanished. Too many children are dying in the hands of the ones that supposed care for them like their parents.
Alot of questions... i know this young man is on the spectrum but most of them on it are very intelligent. just cause the parents didnt allow internet dosnt mean he wasnt hiding a device with it n talking to what he thought was younger people his age in a game group chat somewhere hes 15.he plays mindcraft it could be easy for him to get access to some part of the internet even if he secretly was borrowing a friend's device have we questioned close friend's?
