    I have one that I've put about 12-13 days this season on. I road a 21/22 disaster last season and put about 75 days on that. I do personally think the + Is just oh so barely stiffer but that's me comparing it to a board that's broken in. Board is great for park progression and dicking around on groomers but lacks in chunder and off piste riding. Very skate like board but because of the 3bt and flex it can be very squirrely. + is definitely faster with a smidgen more pop, again all IMO. I road the same size board both years

    Just picked this up. It’s a bit stiffer than expected, a much better all mountain board. It’s definitely soft enough to butter, but if you are looking for a more playful board I would go with the regular disaster. Still a great board!

    • @UNSCR1PTED
      @UNSCR1PTED Год назад +1

      Stiffer as in maybe a 4 flex or compared to what? Genuinely curious because the only other review by ChickenTV claims it's stiffer than expected as well, whereas Angry Snowboarder says it's softer than expected.

    • @gergq5888
      @gergq5888 Год назад +3

      @@UNSCR1PTED After taking it out a few times I would say its a lot more buttery that I thought. It's easy to lock into pressess, but It also does great on booters and bombing hills. I would say a 4 sounds about right!

    Guys, you should know, that the Disaster plus 156W 22/23 - stiff as hell, so take the regular Disaster, if you want to easy butters or flat tricks

    I have this board and I'm upgrading to something stiffer because it feels splashy on anything but the slowest approach.

  • @BackwoodChong
    @BackwoodChong 5 месяцев назад

    That’s crazy a lotta ppl said the regular is softer than plus cuz the plus has the carbon stringers added for stiffness. Battle on has the regular at 2 flex and the plus at 3 flex

    I was surprised this board even existed given its marketing spiel. A (allegedly) stiffer jib stick seems counter intuitive, plus the disaster is intentionally the softest flexing board in bataleons line up. Why not just grab an evil twin if you wanted something park oriented but more mid road stiffness for larger features? Seems like a cash grab

    Just got this board b/c I absolutely hated 22/23 Capita DOA which was super squirrely. Speaking of folding that thing did nothing but fold on me. I know Disaster+ is park and flex focused but am hoping for a bit more hold given the traditional camber. I got a 153w Disaster+. Any comparison thoughts to DOA vs Disaster+? I always have my 21/22 Ride Twinpig to fall back on. Thanks.

      @@AngrySnowboarder damn, thats what i was scared of. Getting back to Powmow next week to try out. At least I'll have a park focused board and will end up riding the twin pig (which is just ok imo) but good for carving. My lady will kill me if i buy another board this season :) thanks for the reply. Me and my homies love your reviews.

      @acream32 Год назад +1

      @@tonygrilli fyi my twinpig is not this year's model so I only know the 20/21. Not playful enough compared to DOA & Disaster+. My issue is I'm average size and weight (5'11 170) but I'm a 13 boot so I need wide and prefer a freestyle feel even in powder. The disaster is way better than the DOA & and my twinpig but it has its limitations in heavy pow. Disaster really been shining on jibs and light powder over twinpig for me. Sold DOA. Picked up the new twin capita spring break powder and that thing rips in everything.

      @@acream32 thanks for the quick reply. I own the 22/23' Twinpig and it isn't as flexy as I was hoping. I'm thinking of picking up an on sale disaster to up my buttering/rails.

      Their marketing is bullshit but they do have SOME good boards . I have their dct instinct model... It is a pure freestyle "athlete" deck. Dont listen to the marketing, it is not all moutain at all. It sucks in powder but is a true machine on very large features. A highly underrated board. But imo their boards could be more "fun".
