Thanks for the review. I have a 2022 Whatever and I have a Jones Mountain Twin. These boards are fairly similar, but I will discuss the differences I see in them. I'm an intermediate rider. I can do 360s pretty easy with the Whatever. I have to be careful with the serrated edge of the Mountain Twin when I'm doing 360s. When I'm going down steep sections of a run, and it's bumpy, with little patches of ice, the Whatever is going to slide out on the ice almost every time. The Mountain Twin holds on that ice and I never worry about sliding out. The Whatever takes bumps pretty nicely, maybe because of it's soft flex. I have a Jones Solution that launches me in the air on bumps because of its stiffness. The Jones Mountain Twin is fairly similar to the Whatever in bumps. A really big difference in the Whatever vs Mountain Twin is stability. The Mountain Twin always feels stable. You know your turns aren't going to slip out if you're carving. And when you go fast, that's when you really notice the difference. The Whatever gets kind of shaky, and it doesn't go as fast, at least the 2022 base wasn't sintered. The Jones is really stable at high speeds and goes a little faster, I enjoy both of these boards. The Whatever is really playful and easy to ride. The Jones Mountain Twin is a step up from the Whatever, takes just a little more work to ride, but offers more stability that can come in handy if you're pushing your riding out of the playful zone. If you like riding fast, the Jones Mountain Twin is a better board.
@BreauxBobby I have the Mountain Twin and am considering a more playful board as I’m progressing in the park and learning to butter and jib. Would you still recommend the Whatever for that? Or are they too similar? Im curious.
@@jibbajabbaguy I don't really ride the park. The Whatever reminds me of a skateboard. I skated for 15 years. I don't have to think about it under my feet. And it's about the only board that I have that I feel that way on. It turns pretty quickly. It's agile. I would think it would be ideal for park riding because the base would hold up better than a sintered base in park conditions. And the speeds are slower. The Whatever has a lot of control.

Hey Angry Snowboarder, can you tell us how different would the ride be on that board if you had the 159w or the 162w ? @@jimsdrivingschool I hope so. Haven't rode it yet but heading to BC for a few weeks in mid Feb.
