I have the disaster and I concur with TJ’s review. This is a butter machine and great for rail/box progression. One of the funnest boards I’ve owned thanks for the review I was shaking my head in agreement on every segment. I’m ready for the boss!
Been riding a disaster for 3 years now and absolutely love it. But they just restocked the evil twin in my size so I’m super stoked to try it when it comes in
Hey man, what are your thoughts on the Bataleon Disaster Plus this year? I'm thinking of upgrading to that from my twinpig. How different do you think the flexes will be?
100% Agree, nice Board for park, useless in 3k mountains, and everything more steep than blue tracks, perfect for purpose (butters and boxes). Not an all mountain board.
Does anyone know if a 151 would be a good park size for me? I am 5'9, 155 lbs and wear size 9.5 us boots. I was thinking of going for the 153W but I'm worried that the waist width will be too wide for turning...
I went on my first day riding in 10 years on my new Goliath. Not so much of a question about the disaster but do you think the Goliath will be okay for learning butter tricks with? Also starting out in the park? Or do you think it would be wise to invest in a board list this too? Thanks!
Noticed you are using the Union Atlas' on the Disaster on some portions of the video and another binding for other parts. How did you find the Atlas paired with this soft a board and what was the thinking swapping them out for the second binding (and what binding are they).
Hey man! I am looking for a flatground tricks board since i already own Burton Process for more all mountain. Been looking into Bataleon and Japanese boards, but a bit hesitant on American boards since they are heavier with more swing weight. Any thoughts?
If I have this board, what would you recommend for something to add as a second board? I ride mainly Big Bear (park) so still want something on the park side but want something more versatile and aggressive. I was thinking Burton Free Thinker, DOA, Jones Mountain Twin, or Burton Blossom. Also, still waiting on that free thinker review!
Is this board viable for all-mountain ? Interested in freestyle but I still want to enjoy the all mountain experience, not full speed sending it but just chill normal course riding and such Help pleaseee
What bindings and boot size did you ride with this board? I think my feet are too big for the non wide (10.5 size large bindings) but I weigh 130lbs so can’t get the full flex of a wide. Hoping I can maybe get away with it but probably not…
Hey you reviewed both the Bataleon Disaster and the Lobster Shifter. How do they compare? Pretty much the same or is there a reason (other than graphics) to take one over the other?
If I am looking for something that can do butters very well, good for park, but can also hold its own with some stability landing jumps and at high speeds, what would you recommend? After watching this I think the disaster would be a little too soft for what I want. Maybe the plus? Or a huck knife, or DOA?
What's the softest one in your opinion, this or the Wallie? 'Cause Angry Snowboarder said to me that even with the carbon strip, the Wallie Is the softest one.. Thanks in Advance, cheers
Your channel and whitelines are my go-to for products I actually purchase. How would you say the flex is compared to the '22 whatever? Long story short; I own the '22 whatever and I am looking for an additional board. Disaster or evil twin? Lol
If you want to do butters and rotating tricks the Disaster it’s the one! I owned whatever before and it’s the best all mountain board! Also own the boss and magic carpet for powder! The Boss it’s stiff awesome for speed!
I feel like TBT is worse for butters than a regular nose and tail. If you lean into press too much it always wants to wash out. You need press in the center part of the nose or tail. When pressing on the sides it is very easy to wash out. If it is not good for butters why do we really need TBT then ?
I believe it’s personal preference. I can use the 3BT fine for butters and presses, just seems natural. I had initial wash out when adapting to the base but after a season it helped me excel. Then my buddy (rides flat) hopped on mine and dislocated his arm almost instantly lol. So personal preference for sure
I think some carbon to help with pop and I believe it is slightly softer than the disaster despite being labeled the other way around. I just got a 2022 disaster and love it, but for $50 extra I would have maybe ordered the Wallie if it was easier to find online in my size. ZERO complaints on the disaster, felt comfy enough to hit jumps and hop on rails 2nd day out after a 5+ year break.
Love the fact that you show what washing out of jumps and the limitations on how hard you can carve with the board looks like.
thanks Chris! I definitely try to demonstrate that in the videos. I'm glad to hear you found it helpful
@@BoardArchive - Yep I've never seen someone push such a noodle to the extreme like this. Very interesting to see, and you have it in slow motion too!
Step by step breakdown including riding examples. Perfect review format imo. Thank you TJ. 👍🏻
thank you!

What the recommended bindings for this snowboard
@@maness2112 I have the Union Strata, also looking to upgrade to Atlas.
@@MrNated25 I've found the Atlas definetly can overpower solfter boards. Stratas seem like the go to for Park riding

How it is about Ollie/nollie? For side which is better disaster or evil twin?
these longer videos are so nice i love em.
I'm not buying a new board but I'm only here to watch TJ's awesome boarding style. I lied........... I bought this board!
Hey man, what are your thoughts on the Bataleon Disaster Plus this year? I'm thinking of upgrading to that from my twinpig. How different do you think the flexes will be?
Liked the shots showing the tail washing out.
why do you ride a 151 for this board? im 5'8-5'9ish and im around 135-145 i just bought the disaster plus at 154.. is this too big??
I like that top sheet…
Decent haha
What would be more forgiving and catch free, the disaster with 3BT and camber or Rome Mechanic with flat base and early rise?
100% Agree, nice Board for park, useless in 3k mountains, and everything more steep than blue tracks, perfect for purpose (butters and boxes). Not an all mountain board.
nice review, clean tricks, thanks TJ!
I just got this one and i love it!
I got this board last year, very hard to get used to it. I would only consider it a jib board for park :)
I destroyed my 20-21 disaster , bataleon just sent me a 30% off code. ships out next week💫
Just got mine and it’s dumping on the east coast….let’s go.
where is this hoodie for sale? looks like a tech hoodie!

Hey TJ, what boot size do you have? I’m a bit curious when you ride a 151.
Hey TJ could you possibly do a review on the Jones mountain twin
Tj's favorite brand is Bataleon
I wouldn't say that, but I do really like what they're doing with 3BT
Hey TJ! Love the vids. At 5’6 and 150 pounds, would you recommend I get the 148?
fantastic review!
Thank you david!
How does it compare to the partymod?
ultrafear or disaster or disaster plus?
what are the chances you review the danny kass 2022 union bindings?
Noticed you are using the Union Atlas' on the Disaster on some portions of the video and another binding for other parts.

Hey TJ I'm looking at the Disaster+ 5'10" 150lbs trying to decide between the 151 or the 154, any thoughts?
Its good board for beginner rider?
Can you do the Rome Artifact?

That was my problem. I had to get the 156W board because of my feet size. Size 11 boot with large union bindings
sweet skull graphic!
I ordered one tho and got charged for 2 but is a great snowboard
Dunno about the graphic haha... but looks like it could be a very fun board for few specific types of riding.
On Mountain Audio commentary was great
Hey you reviewed both the Bataleon Disaster and the Lobster Shifter. How do they compare? Pretty much the same or is there a reason (other than graphics) to take one over the other?
Not TJ but the Disaster is much more similar to the Eiki pro. Pretty much the same board.

TJ is cracked
How does the Disaster compare to the Wallie? I’m trying to avoid something too soft. Which would you say is more stable of the two?
Disaster.

the ride fuse! link in description if you want to check them out

wish they make a girls version. 142 and a little narrower
Made in China. After two weeks metal edges went off the board. Otherwise super funny to ride the Disaster. But the quality is bad.
