Dude, throw some slo mo replays of the hits after the full speed shot/celebration. I kept rewinding because they're sweet and I wanted to see em again.
@@MonsterrificDino There are insane riders that are Ams. Don't disparage the term Amateur, it just means you are not paid by a team, or company and not competing in pro level events. Ams are way different than recreational riders, advanced, or even people considered expert. I competed at the amateur level for 7 years but with work and college didn't have the time to really dedicate myself to trying to make that next level. Pro class, in any sport is the absolute pinnacle of skill and it now being your vocation.
Loved the video. That looks like the perfect day on the mountain to me. Challenging yourself on some fun side hits. It doesn't get much better. It's funny that people in the comments are complaining that you call yourself an amateur and not pro. He doesn't get paid... so he's an amateur. I'm an amateur and do flips and spins on skis. 99% of people doing flips and spins are amateurs.
I grew up in the pre-park era in the late 80's early 90' and we hit tons of side hit and natural jumps. It's important to point out that you should watch out for traffic, use a spotter, and avoid busy trails - which you guys did.
Liam, you are putting out so many great videos but this one is definitely a nudge up. Always so honest and relatable. Congrats on the last wildcat! Smooth😅
On the last one coming out of the woods was sick. Can always go with a = Boned out method kicking the snow off the branch and landing in the sweet spot.
This was such a pure fun snowboarding Video from the Criteria to the terminologies trick selection and consistency from this writer. This was really surprisingly a great piece of Contant that I never knew I needed
Amazing video LOVED IT! send some bs3 this season looking forward to the backflip next year. PD: Notice guys how he always speed check and analize the jump before hitting it, thats a must! nobody goes huge without doing that first well done!
Didn’t realise we have the same board/binding/goofy setup 😂 can’t wait till next season to do more side hit progression. They can be scary though. Most my injuries happen from side hits rather than kickers.
YES he is the definition of an amateur, someone who is focusing on their weaknesses and improving on them, compared to a PRO who can just always land a double backflip or darkside 1080s, when you compare yourself to what’s actually possible on the snow you realize how beginner you are
Sick vid! What is your set up here? Burton hometown hero and Malavita bindings? I just picked up a hometown hero, and can’t decide what bindings to pair with it….
@LiamStevens Yes, you may be an amateur (and perhaps an average) of a snowboarder. But, first of all within an expert category and second of all within an expert freestyle category .) But, I guess you know it. Well done. Inspiring.
Calling yourself an amateur is a stretch😂. Great video tho
Right? Haha
Frfr, no amateur 😂
Depends who you're comparing yourself to.
I mean if he's not getting paid to snowboard then he literally is an amateur.
Like to good to be Am or not enough to be

"Amateur Snowboarder"...
1 minute in : does a flip off a side hit
Tons of dudes out there doing flips of all kinds that aren't pro. Pro now is triple cork 1900
@@Natedoc808 thats true, but I wouldn't call a flip an amateur trick.

@@Natedoc808 Sorry bout the mistake, I didn't really know the specific definition of amateur. Thanks though!

That last wildcat was sooooo steezy! They’re usually so snappy and quick, that was the floatiest. Well done man!
If you do a double tail grab (bloody Dracula) it stalls you out and looks the steeziest of steez 😮💨

Hell yeah! this is exactly the RUclips content I like to see! keep it up!
last hit was so fire dude holy. great video
Thanks Will!

The best kind of snowboarding
One of my favorite videos you’ve made so far!! So rad!
Yo in the first clip you exactly done what you listed the pros do and it got even sicker from there on :D
YOU ARE INSANE! definitely not an amateur
Huge!! Stoked for the 24/25 season clips
you are criminally underrated
On the last one coming out of the woods was sick. Can always go with a = Boned out method kicking the snow off the branch and landing in the sweet spot.
Sweet video. Thanks. This is what RUclips and snowboarding should be about...realness, accessibility.
Sick video! I am getting into my upper 30s so I can't afford to try stuff that I might not land, but it looks like you basically landed every attempt!
So sick Liam! For some reason I have a way easier time jumping off of side hits than park jumps. Any idea what’s wrong with me? Haha
Probably because most sidehits force you on an edge and on parkjumps you have to plan your turns before the jump
I’m the opposite
Same here! As a skier

your title says amateur but you're doing flips? get real.
Yes Get THE fuck real he aint amateur 😂
That just means he’s not sponsored, I think the word you were looking for is “beginner “ .. there’s a difference lol
@@zaidnoraa45right? Like spend some time in a park at a resort. Backflips are 12 year olds warm ups these days 😂
You realize dudes are doing 4 flips while spinning like 1900000s on the pro level?
Probably a more appropriate title would have been expert snowboarder versus pro snowboarder. He's clearly an expert and top 1% on the mountain.
One of my favorite side hit is the tree island near Bear Cub on Whistler - the Oakley jump
This pov of you is great! Please more like this
Side hits are the best and most fun. love the vid!
