I am choosing between Jones Tweaker, Disaster Plus and Rome Artifact Pro. Mainly Ground Tricks cursing around resort popping some side hits. Thank you in advance for your valuable advice!
If you’re looking for a fun board, buy this. I have multiple boards and usually charge hard, but wanted to add something playful to my quiver for side-hits, rollers, buttering and just messing around. I’ve been riding this board HARD… it’s light, rocks heel/toe extremely well, easily maneuverable in trees, has enough pop to be fun, flexes easily and locks into presses, and it’s nearly impossible to catch an edge… I experienced some chatter, but it didn’t bother me, and it for sure washes out sometimes and occasionally bucks you around in the chop or a random divot on the trail… this board is not for beginners but a blast if you’ve been riding a while.
been looking for a review like this. Wondering if you've had any experience with just the disaster. As I'm planning on just doing butters and jibs occasionally boxes and some small rails. But I'd rather prioritize the butters aspect over the stability aspect
@@pablolee2252I looked at every review I could possibly find. Compared specs back-to-back repeatedly, and then just pulled the trigger. The regular Disaster would be far too soft. After ripping on this thing I wouldn’t want anything with softer flex. This board is perfect for how I ride. Moguls wash a little but I still charge through them perfectly fine. Back bowls… it struggles in the chop. Crazy maneuverable in the trees. I’d just buy this.
@jasonmcaron yea unfortunately I'm on the east cost so I don't have much for bowls or big powder days and I'm trying to really nail my butters and some of my box work
@@pablolee2252I grew up East Coast, riding there for 20 years. Then West coast, and now Colorado. Ice boarding is what it is and makes for great technical riders who are fast. If you’re in park, this is an amazing board that you’ll love. Look at the Evil Twin Plus. And Salomon’s Assassin board too (not the assassin pro).
Hey I've been looking at the disaster plus as a niche quiver twin party board for going slow on softer snow, lookimg at 156w to offset the soft flex for a little more stability, power, and pow float too, not for super deep deep days but less than a foot and left overs..what size you get and what's your weight...
Agree with the review. I used this in Japan Feb 2024, had a few powder days, not too deep. Handled a lot of terrain and some pow but obviously not an all terrain board so don't buy it for that. I was happy cruising around on it but a little sketchy at 80km/h. I'm 6'3 and 105kgs and rode the 156W
I snapped my Wallie and was looking to replace it with something a little stiffer but still fulfilling the jib board role. I’m curious how much stiffer people would say this is compared to the Wallie as they are both rated 3 by bataleon. I’m ready to be jibbing with a popier board but bataleons higher camber and stiffer boards all feature the medium base 3bt and idk if I can give up the wide base 3bt for those sweet presses.
@@AngrySnowboarder thats a pitty. Currently i run Evil Twin as my one quicer board, but i want to switch to butter board (wallie or disaster plus) and a second fr/grommer. You point of view wuld help a lot comparing those two, especially weight, pop and flex.
would you say this this a good choice for someone wanting to really get into buttering? or should i look for something softer. japanese spread boards seem to be better but hard to find.
Is the Disaster or Disaster+ better for all mountain? I'm looking for a 146cm-148cm board that can be used all mountain, but focuses slightly more on park. Recommendations?
Would you recommend this for an all-mountain rider that dosent really do boxes/rails, but wants a soft board for butters/flat tricks on the mellow slopes? Or is there something else that would be better for that, where you wont compromise so much on being able to carve and speed?
hey mate, i have the same demands as you. so far i think the whatever is best for this. its a bit stiffer and can handle speed / powder / carving better. it is still more on the soft side and with the raised edges makes buttering easy. its not the fastest and a good all mountain apparently
I spend most of my time anymore in west village (Kokomo & Union Creek) with the kids. Looking to add a deck to the quiver I can throw around and have fun on the flats that doesn't beat me up. I'm between this, a disaster, evil twin, and a Kilroy. Think it's it worth getting the +? I'm a 5'10' 185# middle aged former advanced/expert that does still enjoy straight airs and low consequence rails. Note: I have a free and deep thinker for kidless days.
Is this the board for warmer days and just play? I was hoping this would be a mellower version of the Evil Twin and just a great butter board to thrash around on
How different is this from the et+? I have an et+ but also want something softer for some days. Looking for something light weight and playful. Worth getting this as well or would you say not much different? Thinking between this, the regular disaster, and wallie and of course any other recs you have.
Been looking at this I’m 6’5 - size 13 boot - 195lbs It’s not volume shifted so is the 156W too small for me ? Looking for a soft playful board for the park, know of anything else for my size? Thanks and keep up the good work!
You should show us your skills on a snowboard cause my opinion on this board is completely different from yours. I’ve launched this thing over huge tables in mammoth, bombed double black diamonds and road some good powder on this board and it performed extremely well.
Some days I want a disaster strictly for buttering, but then I have to remind myself I’m never going to spend an entire day doing that ahaha

I love cursing at the resort. Take your pick all three are solid.

What size board did you ride
How does the wallie compare to this?
Is it still the same build like previous years ?
Wallie changed and I haven't been on the new one.

Nah this is solid.

There's so many better choices for all mountain than a soft jib board.
@@AngrySnowboarder what do you recommend? I wanted something with more focus on park that can still handle the mountain
Spring break resort twin, Capita indoor survival, ride zero
@@AngrySnowboarder appreciate it! I think the Ride Zero might be the best option. The others are outside of my size

Just ordered this one, just to butter and hit small features in the park. For bigger stuff I keep my Bottle Rocket.

If your Freethinker is beating you up on the flats might I suggest not getting something with camber then?
@@AngrySnowboarder It's more that the free wants a lot of energy. Great for when I can ride at speeds I want w/o kids.

It's a softer twin park board.
Does this board use job 3bt or twin 3bt

Did this have some of the quality issues as the new cruiser? I like bataleon but will avoid if this is the case
No

It'll work.
whats the difference between this and the normal disaster?
It's the plus so it has higher end materials. Name implies that, watching the review mentions that.
ultrafear or disaster +?
Which size did you ride, nerd?
The one they sent me.
Would you consider this an upgrade from the ride twinpig?
I hate the Twinpig so there's that, but it's going to be softer.
weird how a lot of the + versions are less stiff than the normal version
He didn’t say it was softer. I’ve only been on the party waves but the + was stiffer than the regular for sure.
