*EPIC* 500hp Stage 2 Audi S4 by REVO - Who needs an RS4 ?!

- I have owned 2 Audi S4s, a B8.5 and B9 Avant. I was invited by REVO to drive their epic B9 Audi S4 Saloon. With a Stage 2 Performance Pack it is running just over 500 horsepower and 700 Nm or torque giving performance more akin to an RS4. The car has more than just an engine tune though with Revo's own 20" lightweight alloys, upgraded by from Alcon and a Milltek sports exhaust.

Re the Transam at 1.27, there used to be a Pontiac Firebird seen regularly in Dundee during the mid-1980s which always struck me as a cool car that still looks great today.

Nice video … I previously had a petrol B9 S5 and was waiting for this map to come out but before I had the chance to get it a fire engine destroyed the car … so I bought an RS5 to replace it … the warranty issue was certainly worth mentioning … looks like an amazing car indeed …

I had a Revo tune on my Seat Leon Cupra TDi, with a Clive Atthowe tweak, and it was a torque monster. Their software is top quality stuff 😁👍🏻

Great review and nice to see that the mods give that incremental increase in performance, without the eye-watering impact on the wallet. It would be interesting to see what the increase would be on your insurance after declaring the mods. An extra 20+% - not sure - any ideas?

I've been in a 17 plate s4 and always felt it needed a remap. It wasn't slow or anything it just felt like it can put down another 100bhp no problem

Great review very informative and interesting. I have the super charged S4 Avant with the Revo stage 1 software and even just that is really awesome and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it. I was sold on it by a Chris Harris video running the S4 with and without Revo map and an RS4 alongside each other. I guess the stage 2 is predominantly air in quicker, heat out quicker. Just personally I prefer the S4 ride over RS4 for everyday motoring. I’ve also smoked some proper non sleeper looking sports cars at the Nordschleife. The only thing I was told which may or may not be true is slightly more regular gearbox oil changes. Look forward to more awesome reviews, I also want a 308 GTS now I’ve watched your video on that 🏎💨🙃

Nice car. I am considering upgrading my S3 with REVO parts as I love the RS3 but can't justify the extra cost and fuel consumption. I think AUDI got it so right with the S4 but I would want a Black Edition as the chrome doesn't suit the cars look and is far to American bling for most people. With a Black Edition you get a more personal edge. I changed all my badges for black ones and on a grey car it looks stunning. I wish my interior was as nice as the S4 you were driving as it looks nicer than the S3.
This car is a beast with just stage 1 tune.
I can confirm. I’m running IE Stage 1 on 93 with an intake and non resonated x pipe and it’s absolutely incredible

I always thought your Avant sounded lovely, and I’ve almost bought one of those a few times in the last couple of years before deciding on the M340i xDrive. Really starting to think that I should at least invest in a tasty exhaust though.
Personally with experience. Audi over bmw. Bmw have to many failures especially when modified.

Got the revo stage 1 on my B9 S4 Avant back in November when it launched and love it - oddly it didn’t effect the insurance premium either when I declared it - this is tempting me for the stage 2 - also good commentary on the ride comfort - I love those wheels and you say the ride comfort wasn’t too bad on them ? I’ve got adaptive suspension so bloody tempted to push the button on those then work out if it’s worth lowering 👍 great review thanks
You should switch to integrated engineering if you actually want a real tune.

I’ve toyed with the idea of upgrading the exhaust on my i30N for some extra noise etc, but the warranty being invalidated has put me off. I’ve done some cosmetic tweaks with a set of rally flaps and upgraded the rear indicator, reverse and number plate bulbs to LED, but that’s as far as I’ll go.
Now, if I had an out of warranty Octavia vRS… hmmm 🤔

I'm not sure I would call an S4 a sleeper. Even in stock form visually the badging & quad exhaust kinda gives the game away for me. That said I do like Revo products which are well developed. I have a stage 1 Revo re-map on my Skoda Superb 4 x 4 estate which took it from 280 to 360bhp using stock air intake, exhaust & gearbox tune. Now that's what I call a sleeper, a "dad's" car that looks no different to most other Superb models out there but goes like stink when needed. I'm currently waiting for Revo to come up with a remap option for the VAG 1.5TSi engine so I can liven up our Skoda Karoq 4 x 4 DSG as well. The only snag will be if the DSG can take the extra torque. Time will tell.
Sleeper Forsure, just compare the cars this thing can take out numbers wise. Big names.

That's because you're a car guy and know what to look for. Most people are pretty clueless. The S4 is a sleeper compared to an obvious performance car like a 911.

Sat here with the bumper off my B8.5 looking at the tiny heat exchanger and coolant pump while thinking the same thing as that B9..... not enough cooling 🤔😅 The RUclips algorithms are watching us haha 😅😅

Awesome! Now you only need to fix the rocker-arm issue, which will grenade the engine, and you're good to go! I wouldn't touch these turbo 3.0 engines with a barge pole.
only an issue until 2019, 2019+ are super reliable and hold their power with upgraded turbos

It doesn't have a Haldex system. The S4 has a proper rear biased permanent Quattro system with variable torque split. If you pin it while turning out of a junction it likes to remind you that it can shove 85% of the torque through the rear wheels!

No, was running the stock TCU calibration. But we have been looking at TCU options.

They had just released the pack at the time of filming. Drop Revo and email and they can confirm the price depending on which options you are interested in 👍

very well, after this video everybody wants audi, but reality is on some other chanel that repairs often broken audis: Vag technic, when you see how much cost average repair, you will freeze

No one ever mentions telling the insurance company about the improved performance.
