Redline moves to accommodate for the raised transmission temps, it was a hot summer day! Trans cooling is definitely going to be upgraded for this year.

@@kei1880transmission whine, it’s completely normal
It’s not because of the transmission temps , it because the ‘ high ‘ oil temperatures.
Engine limits revs power to protect the engine you need an oil cooler.
@@Misterpapito237 Oil temp is fine for these, of course lower the better however the oil cooler on the S4 B9’s don’t fully open until around 127 degrees.
They’re designed to run hot, the car is also using upgraded motorsport oil and always changed after going to the track.
The revs are limiting due to the transmission temps creeping up that’s all, it’s a safety feature.
Car lowered its redline toward the end there to protect itself, I like that. Sounds awesome and drove nicely, nice job!

i saw that too, but i noticed the temp climbed above 130 to 132 and the redline went higher. very interesting

You like to think the rs4 could do a lap before overheating but I suppose only a professional driver can push it this far the was 2 yellow flags witch helped it cool down
Assumed it was going to overheat at some point, but very impressive and composed considering it was +600lbs how it would run a typical track event.
yeah the way the temp was rising was a worry.
I find it fascinating how you can get in so many different cars and push them to the limit. And knowing when the brakes are going or shot, when the tires are done, and so on. Thank you for making these videos I really enjoy watching them.

Love to see it! That was transmission whine not the turbo btw. I’ve had had 2 B9s. Doubtful about the 500+ without hybrid turbo or fueling upgrade. These things have great torque though.
he was probably rounding up, probably closer to 475-480. maybe a tad higher
Agree, my B9.5 S5 makes 500+ only on e85, on 98(RON) it’s about 460

I have a B7 S4 Cabriolet, love the thing. Would like to do a coilover instead of the adaptive magnetic and maybe pull another 100hp, so it's close to 450. That one sounded pretty good for a 6 with a turbo.

I'd love to see a video of a b8.5 S5 with the sports diff drive around the ring. That diff makes all the difference in the world
The S4 could also be optioned with the sport diff
The sport diffs are very weak though. I have a b8 s4 avant and done a few trackdays in them have had 2 sport diffs fail. 1 cracked internally and leaked the hydraulic oil into the gear oil which then ruined it, and the other after a few was whining and showing a malfunction when it got hot so just ditched it. Now has a standard diff in it waiting for the funds to do the jxb lsd retrofit (which can only be done into the standard diff housing). For having a bit of extra rotation on the road, fine. But (and I may have been unlucky..) in my experience they can't cope with track work
@@BarbecuedPossum what tires were you using on track? My S5 is more fun in cooler temperatures when the tires have less grip
Was on PS4s, normally i use ar1's for trackdays on my other car but couldnt be bothered switching as the s4 is my daily. Winter trackdays would be way more fun in these as can actually play with them on the limit, in they dry hot it's hard to do anything but understeer@@roywhiteo5
@@BarbecuedPossum Huh. I don't hear about them failing too much, but it happened to my friends B8.5 a few years ago while it was still under the extended warranty. By B8 did not have it, but my B9.5 dose, and it's been solid for me. A couple of track days, two trips to the drag strip, and lots of backroad blasting.

Its probably handles becouse of extra weight on rear seets. Once i got owersteer in the same corner with passengers where usualy i get understeer
At last a car that claims 500bhp and performs like a 500bhp car should even with 4 people on board, no BS figures here.

The 500 HP figure is pure and utter BS on 99 Ron fuel it will be MAX 470-480 HP at the engine.

Cooling is what you need to do first, see how the red line kept moving down to 5.5k revs to allow it some time to try and cool down...
thats trans temps doing that not engine temps. needs a trans cooler.

I’m surprised the Bluestuff and Yellowstuff pads held up. EBC gets some hate from the community. I have them installed on my R60 Mini, but it only weighs 1360kg/3000lbs.
This is a surprise, it would never occur to me to see a family Audi Saloon take corners so easily and quickly, especially with 4 people in it. A big surprise, Cool 👍
its a S4 - thats the sports, more powerful version of the regular audi - a regular audi would wallow on this circuit.
If you notice the red brake calipers, it has the optional torque vectoring sport differential. It's a magical option that should probably just come standard that transforms the cars handling. A S4/S5 with the sport differential will do doughnuts in the rain like its a RWD car with the traction control turned off.
Hey Misha, do you ever turn the heather on full blast when the cars start to get hot? I find it does helps quite alot and can bring the temps down quickly
was thinking that too,i usually do that on my turbo cars when im on a big drive.
For a track usage ESP should be in sport, it will prevent from understeering feel of a car

I love this generation of S4, with the modifications he said it’s pretty hard to get 503bhp with a stick turbocharger. It’s probably more like 450bhp.
It's not really. Just with a ecu tune you are at like 440hp. With intake, de-cat downpipe, intercooler you are easily at 520-530. And he has all those mods

This is crown gear quattro, 60% goes rear. Usually when people whine Audi understeer, they dont even know you have to accelerate in the corner.

Stock cars are not so bad once you start modifying stuff either the suspension is too soft or the cooling system cant cope or the seats dont hold you in or you need more safety equipment etc. etc.
Just put some decent tyres and brakes on a well maintained car and go do laps!

240kmh/150mph into swedenkreuz is what many 350hp cars do also. But this one was quite weighed down 😂😂 Fun to see the passengers move about in the back
The car is like 1,8t itself. And it looks like all passengers are 100+kg each. So like 2,4t all together 😂

The cars probably tuned in a way that when it gets too hot the engine protects itself from overheating
