Your camera, lighting, mic, and ability to make crochet so easily understood for beginners and experienced people alike makes you my favorite crochet guide on RUclips. You are a gift and I appreciate all you do. These are wonderful granny squares!
I will be 75 next week,. I've crocheted since I was 13. I have this year seen this in some finished projects. Two weeks ago someone showed a free fom scrumble. She said the name of the stitch but I couldn't here it clearly. All I caught was puff. Then this week this video showed up in my feed. I thought it was the stitch from the picture. As I read your description I was sure this the stitch I was looking for. As I watched you do the stitch I smiled. Because your first stitch looked just like what was on her scrumble. I am just getting ready to try free form crochet. I've done freeform quilting, and freeform tatting. I'm excited to be learning new stitches to go with stitches I've used all my life. Thank you very much!
Same here... been locked into just the stitches I learned without venturing further to learn more. I am 66 and I really need to learn more crochet styles....
The moment I saw this square I thought of Christmas. The puff stitches could be a snowflake. It works with all colors of course, but I saw me in a Christmas poncho or cape. I don't know if I am going to make something like that, but thank you Robin for the pattern!
Just started on my second ripple blanket, but I love this too, GS are my favourite , as my granny taught me,when small ,about 5 at the time. I thought the squares were named after her!!!! Every time I hear GS I think of Emily Thank you so much Pat
Aw thank you so much Andrea! I'm so glad my videos have helped you! ☺️ Comments like this definitely make it all worthwhile (at the risk of sounding corny AF 😅) x
I really hope you see this! Thank you so much for showing this beautiful square. I finely got brave enough to give it a try, and I LOVE it! You are a great teacher! Thanks again!
I only started crocheting this year, tonight I decided to try this one..........so pleased with how it turned out. Your video was very easy to follow. I'm left handed but still managed the right handed tutorial. 😊
Hi Patricia, I’m glad you managed to make one. This may help you for future crochet: you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RUclips yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!😃🧶
Robin😊I usually get bored of granny squares after a bit, but this pattern really peaked my interest-o-meter! Thanks for the excellent tutorial, you are definitely The Bomb!!❤️🧶❤️
Haha I am EXACTLY the same. Low boredom threshold but I really enjoyed making these because they are surprisingly quick and look so pretty! Like starbursts 😍⭐️
So very pretty! I really appreciate your anticipation of the questions that I would have about things like whether I need to do another stitch at the corner and moving the puff stitch and then finding where the next stitch goes. I haven't tried this yet, but your directions and video are really clear, so I don't anticipate any issues.
I really enjoyed this tutorial!! I made this on the train home from college. As someone who hasn’t been crocheting so long I really appreciate how you crocheted along with your instructions and didn’t just magically skip to the end.
Wow Robin you are just pumping out all these amazing and useful tutorials. Not too mention your skills to teach are by far the best! Thank you for all you do 🫶🏻❤️🥰🇨🇦
Wow! Thank you! Returning to crochet after 30 years! Lol. You are our treasure! To be honest, I had to slow listening speed to half, to my listening speed, lol! The way you say, "nice and tall" at half speed is hysterical. Coming from an American! My square came out perfect! Cheerio darling!
I have just started this granny square. I Struggled in the beginning, but now that it is coming much easier I love it. You showed different ways of joining granny squares but not the solid granny square. I love your tutorials they are so easy to follow.😂❤ S
OH MY GOODNESS! It is ridiculous how much I love this square! It is so extremely beautiful! I have far too many WIPs, but I will NEED to start another one, with this square! Seriously...Thank you so much for sharing this!
This is such a beautiful granny square pattern. You always make it so easy to understand the steps & directions. Thanks Robin and can’t wait to see the next tutorial.
I love this granny square. 💜💜I made it following your instructions although the center kept getting to big 🤷♀️ so I substituted it for a magic circle. It worked for me 💜 so thank you. Love your work as you give good instructions. 💜💜💜💜
This is so wonderful. I love the texture too. I also love how the puff stitches integrate into the original colored yarn in the second round; it harmonizes the granny square. ❤🔥❤ Also, Great instruction!!
I love this square ! I find your tutorials really easy to follow as you explain things simply. Your work is lovely and very inspiring. I’m off to pick up my hook 👍🧶😂
