Good job getting another camp out of the winter season! I always tell people to shake the blood into their hands as well, but I use a slightly different motion, like a pendulum, I don't do the full circle, just the lower 160° and that way my shoulders stay in a normal position, I find it just a little more effective and quite a bit more comfortable. I bike in the cold a lot and it takes the blood out of my hands so I do this a ton.
@@disciplined.adventurer Whitehorse Wildland is in Alberta near Cadomin. It's a beautiful backcountry park that connects to the Great Divide to the South and up Fiddle Pass into Miette/Jasper to the North.
That’s a good question, as it would be safe to drink. If my water supply was scarce, I would drink it for sure. I had a 2 L reserve water bladder for the way back down the next day so didn’t feel the need. But situation dictates, I would be fine drinking it too! And it would be safe to do so. Also, I think the back of my mind, even though I know it’s chemical free in the water bottle, I guess drinking the water next day wouldn’t be my first choice per say (at most the water could taste slightly “different”; but would be fine)
@@disciplined.adventurer , oh, good. I drink mine so I dont have to melt more snow. Wanted to make sure there wasn't something I wasn't aware of! Thanks for sharing another winter adventure - they're my favorite to watch! 🙂

Same here! I'm hoping to get out to Whitehorse Wildland while the falls are raging.
I would love to visit the Yukon territories! Canada definitely has some beauty. Can’t wait to see out that way in time!

Is there a reason you don't drink the boiling water you put in your Nalgene the next day after it has cooled?
