Interesting that you catch rainbow trout. These are endemic to the Pacific ocean watershed only. However, many trouts and salmons have been introduced from Atlantic to Pacific, Europe to North America, etc, and back.

I love fishing, especially for Trout. I live on The Big Island of Hawaii and the best way to fish is on a boat which I don't have and shore fishing is kind of hard and you have to be careful what reef fish you eat because of the ciguatera poisoning you can get. So I miss fishing in Colorado for trout and would love to fish Iceland, but I doubt I'll ever be able to visit there. Love Your Videos. Iceland is very Beautiful. The only place I've seen that compares in Beauty is the Island of Kauai here in Hawaii.

Yeerhaaw, I haven’t tried any other apps yet, I’d love to find out which others are recommended too! Since you asked how my Icelandic is coming along, I’ll say this...I have been working on vocabulary words all this time, that’s pretty much how Drops is set up. I think my pronunciation is pretty good and if I see an Icelandic word or name, by now I can at least sound it out pretty accurately but can’t necessarily translate what it means. When I hear someone speaking the language in conversation (mainly on RUclips videos...I haven’t actually gotten to visit Iceland yet) the rate of speech is too fast for me to understand much of anything. For that reason I think I could understand/translate written text better than the spoken language. Since I’ve still just been using the free Drops app, my lessons have been twice a day for 5-10 minutes each. I’m ready to spring for the unlimited version to try to get better sooner! Hope this answered your question 🙂
Karen Friebel well I’ve only tried one lesson one Icelandic pimsluer but i can say with certainty that if you want to get better at pronunciation and conversation atleast try the free lesson and perhaps with the addition of memrise & drops (which i just tried and it’s quite enjoyable) you could get to a pretty decent level on your own. it’s a shame there’s only a few apps that offer Icelandic but there’s for sure other courses or apps i have yet to come across

I never fished but I knew /know a few who also love to fish but my best friend thinks that’s kinda cruel. but he is vegan. and I personally know what you do here is tradition and you don’t fish too much what you can’t use. Question: is it true you can let fish free after catching? And can they even survive after getting “hooked” or do you need special fishing tools for that? How much does it cost? I pay 3€ for one day, 6€ for a month or 12€ for a year here in Portugal (if prices haven't change since I haven't gone fishing lately). Have you ever tried the ledgering technique (bottom fishing)? I'm not sure if this is the name in english, but it's when you use a weight in the end of the line, a hook and some kind of artificial or living bait. Have you ever tried fishing on salt water? I noticed you are not a "catch and release" fisherwoman? Do you eat the fish later? (not a big fan of fresh water fish) And finally (sorry for the long comment) is there a minimum size limit to the fish you can catch? Here it varies on the species and is used to control the overfishing and the fish stocks. For example a sea bass must be at least 23 cm to be a legal catch. Hope you release more fishing videos.
Your (boyfriend's?) reaction when he thought you got that first bite was so wholesome. And that is literally the nicest road I have ever seen that remote. I live in Oregon and take that road, add a bunch of ups and downs, large rocks partially buried in the road, and tons of loose shale and you have the typical unpaved road in rural Northern Oregon.

This phenomenon is very real. I wen't out for a drive yesterday and I noticed that the noon sun looked almost like a morning sun rise.
It's more like 3 months for each. I wouldn't say 6 unless you're in north greenland.
