    Hey enjoyed the video mate. I’m heading to the blanda mid June, any tips on flies / tactics? Seems like stripping was the go to method, curious what sort of setup you were running. Cheers !

      Laxa k’Jos is a smaller river than the Blanda we fish with single handed trout rods as most of the fish are grilse - suspect you will need double handed rods. No doubt hitch flies and the usual selection of small doubles and trebles will work. I always have some small tungsten micro tubes which work well.
      I find in Iceland it pays to keep changing flies - it’s amazing what difference that makes, you often catch a fish first cast with a new fly!

      @@reggiemorgan6121 Blanda is completely different from Kjos. Heavy water and in mid-June expect to use double handed rod and big heavy tube flies like Snaelda or Frances. Good luck...
