I believe in mirror smiling. I started this about 5 yrs ago when I was 19. I didnt feel pretty , i didnt even like looking in the mirror and had no confidence in my self. I started smiling every morning at myself even if it was a glance. Did this everyday and didnt realise when I gained all this confidence and feel pretty! I love how I look and if someone doesnt like me, thats their problem. I love me!

I had to learn how to say no and it’s been hard but beneficial for my overall well being. You can’t give out of an empty cup, so saying no helped me spend time to fill myself up again so I won’t crash and burn. This was on point and beautiful video as well! Thank you for the inspiration!

okay, thank god for this. I looked up "Glow up" in other youtube videos and most of them on the thumbnail looked like they purposely took a shot of themselves in the least flattering way and then on the after-picture, they had themselves on with makeup, showing lots of skin and meshed up hair. Yours is a breath of fresh air, truly, and made me feel happy, knowing skin isn't the only part of a glow up, and that one could have a better chance of sticking with it, when one has a system for it. This year of my life, at age 19, I’ve realised how much I have relied on other people for self-confidence and let it affect my self-worth. I think a lot of young women fall into this trap, especially in relationships, having someone tell you you’re beautiful and amazing is so wonderful that when you can’t see yourself as those things. If you’re out there relying on someone else to reassure you of your own self worth, or an Instagram picture to reassure you that you’re attractive, it will never fulfil you properly! This is so true. I tried a glow up several times but it didn't work until it came from a place of self-love and not a place of self-hatred. A true glow up starts from within.

Ooooooooh I can relate to that cause I got crooked teeth , but sometimes I naturally just get out of mind and totally even forget I got a crooked smile and smile wholeheartedly but will immidiately stop when I catch someone staring at me but I remember this guy someday who said *"Look at her smile man!!!;Lekhusa 😍😍😍"* with Soo much admiration of how much he liked my smile and Everytime I feel self conscious about my teeth I just remember the tone in his words when he said it

This year of my life, at age 19, I’ve realised how much I have relied on other people for self-confidence and let it affect my self-worth. I think a lot of young women fall into this trap, especially in relationships, having someone tell you you’re beautiful and amazing is so wonderful that when you can’t see yourself as those things. If you’re out there relying on someone else to reassure you of your own self worth, or an Instagram picture to reassure you that you’re attractive, it will never fulfil you properly! You are good enough and you are beautiful, learning that will be your first step towards independence and happiness!

I want to be active in classroom, speak my inner thoughts publicly and communicate with friends, without being the quiet kid anymore.
If I wasn't afraid of what people thought, I would be less anxious, guarded and apologetic around my friends, not mentally punish myself for my awkwardness,and wear the bold and colourful clothing that I love.

Being able to accept that no matter what happens, people will always chose to criticize you and you just do what needs to be done to make yourself achieve that inner peace, will make things go smoothly.
