Their label was always up to something shady. They put out an album without the sister’s permission or knowledge, they tried to push them to dress more sexually suggestive and never seemed to understand that the sisters were a once in a generation talent combination that did not need gimmicks and BS.

They were a GREAT rock band...period. Nancy Wilson is a superlative acoustic guitar player, and has a good voice. Her sister, Ann, has perhaps the greatest female rock voice of that era...matched by VERY few (some say Grace Slick, some might say Pat Benatar...I disagree). Her power was amazing. They were huge from around 1977 into the early eighties, and continued to tour off and on into the 2010,s. Heart loved Led Zeppelin, and would often do covers of Zeppelin songs in concert. An. Wilson has the perfect range and power to do Plant.Jimmy Page heard them do some Zeppelin songs at one point and was impressed enough to say that they had his blessing for covering any Zeppelin songs they wanted. In 2012, when the three surviving members of Zeppelin (Plant, Page and JPJ) were given tribute at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC...attended by President and Michelle Obama, four groups performed four of their songs. The finale was a blow-your-mind rendition of Stairway to Heaven done by Ann and Nancy Wilson, with Jason Bonham (John’s son) on drums, orchestra and choir. It brought down the house, and brought Robert Plant to tears.....bringing home once again the loss of his best friend John all those years ago. It’s very moving, and you should watch it.......IF you have already watched their 1973 MSG performance of Stairway....which I think you have....OMG...I just checked your list of videos....you haven’t done it yet! So listen to Zeppelin 1973 MSG Stairway to Heaven, and then the tribute to them by Heart.

Yes, Haley Williams. I remember so long ago seeing Paramore in “Bands you should know” or something similar in the early morning on MTV or VH1, thinking, my daughter would love this. They were brand new playing Misery Business. Ended up being the first concert I took my daughter to see live. She was probably 14 or so.
Heart was formed by 2 sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson. The song Barracuda was written by Ann, the lead singer after a record company official asked her how her love life was. They were trying to say that Ann and Nancy had an incestuous relationship going on. Ann was pissed and went back to the hotel and wrote that song in 15 minutes. Nancy is playing the rhythm guitar and has an incredible voice and is an amazing guitarist. You should show Heart doing Stairway to Heaven which Led Zeppelin is being inducted into the Kennedy Center Honors. The production of that is insane. Such multi talented women as baskins of the rock era. I was 17 when they came out with Barracuda. Actually I had just bought a 1969 Barracuda a few weeks before and I was driving and listening to I95 a Connecticut rock station, when I first heard this song. It's unbelievable how fast that car was, especially when listening to that song. Every song by Heart is pure unadulterated rock, by two really ultra talented sisters.

Heart is an amazing group as you just found out. You said you are a sucker for great vocals well sir I highly recommend that you react to any Nightwish song with Floor Jansen singing. I suggest "Ghost Love Score", "Greatest Show On Earth" and "Romanticide" as starting points. You will NOT regret it!
It _looks_ raw af, but it's actually the audio from the studio recording. Not knocking it though -- Heart is a fantastic band with a diverse catalog, particularly their pre-80s stuff. You should try Crazy On You, Magic Man, and my personal favorite, Mistral Wind.

Heart is an amazing group as you just found out. You said you are a sucker for great vocals well sir I highly recommend that you react to any Nightwish song with Floor Jansen singing. I suggest "Ghost Love Score", "Greatest Show On Earth" and "Romanticide" as starting points. You will NOT regret it!
