Im amazed on how down to earth they are considering the amazing things they get to do. It is easy to lose the appreciation for things as you continue to grow. They basically found a way to make a business out if their passion. And still be excited for the small things (and the big ones to). Love u guys!
I love that you guys have been bringing back the bloopers and some little everyday travel life moments into your past few videos. It feels like the perfect blend of your daily vlogs from back in the day with the incredible quality and editing you guys have mastered over the years. 🙌
This is not just a travel channel .... This is a cultural documentary that makes me appreciate our planet and I will support this channel till I'm an old woman! 🥰🥰🥰
I’m half Japanese (my American dad married my mom after the war). I got to take my mom to her homeland one last time before she passed in 2005. So nice you went back. You two haven’t changed (in appearance) since your first time there.
In my opinion, nobody could be half as everybody is complete with his/her heart. If your heart is with Japan, you are japanese. If it with Us then my prays are with you :)
@rizwankehumsafar you do not comprehend what we are talking about! I have never been to Japan, but because I grew up with a Japanese mother and a Portuguese father in Hawaii, I identify with all three of these cultural lifestyles. I am proud of my heritage and the history behind both sides of the family! Years ago, I was working as a manager for a Japanese American exhibit. A woman from Japan told me that I was not really Japanese because we were not born in Japan. Another woman, who was my age and a second generation too, but who's parents were both Japanese took offense. Just because we were never in Japan, doesn't mean that we do not identify with the culture. That is just as true for my Portuguese side. I am both and even identify with Hawaiian culture. I was brought up on the traditions, the language, the food and the history of the Japanese, Portuguese and Hawaiian people and cultures.
A big thank you to Kara for keeping your authentic joy and appreciation alive.. One could become a little jaded, seeing and experiencing so many exotic adventures, staying in some of the best hotels, resorts and humble accomodations. Seems like all the flattering words have been written over the years . . . .keep doin' it y'all!
Loved the tiny little audio call back at the end there.... Japan has always been a bucket list destination for me so thanks for yet again sharing this stunning place with us!
GO!!! Dont wait. You will hate that you waited once you go. Eat everything, go to monkey mountain in Oita, and ask the locals where to go and what to do. They will go out of their way to help you enjoy their country.
"Sorry for the sappy intro" as if we're not used to Kara crying 🤣 I love the full circle. It's very special to watch y'all go back to where it all started.
Nate in this video you said that you have officially lived your perfect day and I hope you get to say that EVERY DAY forward! Kara you spoke about growing old together (an absolute treasure) and I pray for both of your health and happiness for a very long time of adventures ❤️ We grin ear to ear watching you guys. Thanks for always keeping it real and sharing with us all! It has been a pleasure watching you two young people over the years on your life adventure. Thanks for being so inspiring. Because of you, my husband and I have resolved to believe it’s never too late for us! #BornAgain
Is it just me...or are Kara and Nate's videos getting better and better 🤔 my heart melted the snow in Japan when Nate said ..."Kara said we really are growing old together'" I feel like your videos are Netflix worthy these days.
Y’all are makin’ me tear up at how sentimental and appreciative you are. Nate living his best day is so awesome to see! Thanks for continuing to share your journey with us and for lugging around all the extra stuff! Kara, you’re 💯 on how eating amazingly-fresh-taste-bud-altering sushi is a curse.
Love that the original 'kara & nate theme' was subtlety playing in the background when explaining why you're returning to Japan. ☺ Great video as always!
We Drove all the way to Aomori this Winter in our Japanese Campervan!! It was incredible, I'm so glad you loved it as much as we did. The snow was insane on our journey North the most magical experience of our life so far, probably our favourite ever video to make, the snow was like a fairytale. I'm like Nate, a big kid in the snow! Defo not as brave as you guys going skiing, I would most certainly injure myself. We were laughing remembering Nate trying to make noodles in Kingin It video, defo stick to buying ramen in the shops hahaha
Great video! I was born in Japan on a US Navy base. I came to the states when I was barely a year old. I had never been back to Japan. I have plans to travel back in 2024 to spend a few weeks visiting the entire country and visiting the city of birth in Nagasaki prefecture.
Oh I miss these travel videos. I thoroughly enjoyed. The interaction with the locals and seeing you alls response to experiencing different cultures is my favorite. ❤️🥰
The intro and Kara crying is the reason why we all watch and LOVE your videos!! Heartfelt and genuine mixed with the fun interactions between the two of you makes it very easy to come back week after week to see what’s next!! Thank you so much for letting us view the world and travel vicariously through you!!! ❤️❤️
I love the humbleness, humility and gratitude after all the success you had. Incredible energy and flow. Keep on going guys. What you have is very special😇💙
No thank you, my eyes got teary! Because of yalls boldness and strategic planning you guys had made this channel grow! I like how genuine the love for traveling and exploring places i sure wouldnt be be able to go! Yall show the impossible but in a pure way when you guys push eachother out your comfortable zone! So this moment is pure happiness and we are able to experience it with yall! 🎉
I was just talking about you guys the other day and remembering that you started in Japan, also hoping you would return again with all your world travels reshaping your views on the country
I was crying right along with you at the beginning! My fiance and I love to travel too, and we just watched your Japan trip a few weeks ago. I'm so happy that y'all are back in Japan and we can't wait to go see it ourselves!
OMG THAT ICONIC ENDING SOOOOONGGG from K&N first videos in Japan 2016...🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭 #IfYouHaveWatchedK&NFromTheVeryBeginningVideosYouMustKnowThatFreakinIconicSongThatKaraUsedForEveryVideos 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤣🤣
In the years I have watched this channel both Kara and Nate do a remarkable job at just have a great sense of adventure, fun and just overall amazing vibes love your videos! thanks for keeping up the great work in every video you make
1) I work for the Fairmont brand and who ever wins that trip is going to be in for a trip of a lifetime! 2) I remember your first vlogs in Japan and the nostalgia is unreal ❤
I never realized how much snow areas of Japan actually get!!🌬️💨 You two always find a way to battle through and have fun!! Kara you need to bring the to go cups of peanut butter with you to mix in with all of the ramen you eat!!😅
Japan is the highest on my list of places to visit. So beautiful. & I love what I know of the culture. I just adore how much the people care about taking care of their surroundings and each other. ❤
In 2010 I flew to Aomori Prefecture in Japan the day after Thanksgiving, flew home for a week at Christmas and then came back until 1 week before the 2011 Tsunami. I was there for work and it snowed everyday. In the smaller towns they don’t salt or sand the roads due to the rice fields, so the 2 days it didn’t snow the entire time I was there, the roads became ice. I love Aomori and it’s one of my favorite places to visit. In the spring the cherry blossoms at Hirosaki castle are amazing.
Thank you Kara for bringing back the OG "travel day" music for the intro and outro. It is definitely heartwarming and nostalgic and definitely not something that continues to haunt my nightmares 😄
So I’m 61 and retired, lots of time and resources to travel with. All I do now is watch K&N videos and tell my husband “we’re going to do that”. Then I start making reservations. Literally the best travel resource on the internet. I even paid for a year of fair drop, even though we currently live in Sydney and I can’t really use it. I just like supporting you guys. ❤
I am a very paranoid, nervous flyer and I'm flying tomorrow.Watching kara and Nate's travel videos makes me feel so much relaxed and excited. Thank you for making flying less nerve wracking ❤
wow I have been watching all your old vlogs especially the first Japan trip you guys went to and to see this, I'm so happy you keep going and shared so much culture and inspired me to travel again! and im actually applying to JAPAN for study abroad program which has been my dream location to adapt at! thank you for sharing what I would love to know thus far what Japan is about! looking forward to experiencing Japan for my personal growth soon!
Y'all are making me miss Japan so much!! It's definitely in my top two favorite countries to visit. Loved the video. Big hugs to you both! Safe travels ❤️
i love when you and the lady at the Aomori fish market kept saying yay lol. Also the reason you don't put your chopsticks straight down is because it is a symbol of death not because it is generally rude. It's bad luck to put them straight down in your food and is more of a funeral custom. When giving food to the dead you leave the chopsticks up. But then again not everyone has the same customs. Many people most likely appricate that you took notice of that though. Love your videos!
you two are killing me with the trip to Japan and skiing. Been wanting to go and ski in Japan for so long. Hard to do when running a landscaping business and buying a house. Fun fact: Part of what makes skiing in Japan so fun for outsiders is that local traditions encourage that the spirits of their ancestors live in the trees. So for one of the snowiest places on the planet with well spread out trees if you manage to go to Japan you will find yourself in great snow with few people (almost no locals) in the trees. Looks like you had fun. Hoping to make it there soon.
Japan is on my bucket list since I was a kid, hope to one day travel there, Tokyo,Niigata,Kyoto and Gion are among the cities I love to see, eat sushi, ramen, takoyaki, onigiri and mochi plus drink matcha tea either cold or warm and drink sake with ice, see art musseums, history musseums, temples and palaces, if this comes true one day I will be so happy
Awesome video as always Kara and Nate. Glad to see y'all made back to where your journey started from. I loved watching y'all's first time in Japan but. The moment I want ever forget is when y'all where in Hong Kong standing in front of the big ferris wheel and Kara asked Nate are we going on and Nate said no it's too expensive we're just going to look at it. No matter how many of y'all's videos I watch I'll away remember that moment in time.
I have been watching from the beginning of y’all’s journey and I finally got caught up to the most recent video! It took me a little over two years, a very rough two years in my life, and y’all have provided a me with a lot comfort. I loved that the latest video happened to land with y’all back in Japan! Really feels full circle!❤️
just got back from niseko this winter and this is so nostalgic. i've ridden that same gondola so many times (ps number 50 is the golden one for anyone visiting, but it's not in chronological order ;))
Awww... you guys are back in Japan! It makes me nostalgic for your very first RUclips trip here on this channel! ❤ I love to see how you've grown and blossomed since then. So proud of all you've accomplished!
I completely get your love for one of the greatest countries! The food, the people the all around cuteness! They are the most gracious people ever! This episode touched my heart and simply can't wait for next week! The poke bowl you created was phenominal!
I get that you' re in love with ramen, but you absolutely have to try okonomiyaki. It' s so delicious! Seeing your video makes me wanna go back to Japan and eat all the foods🍜 greetings from switzerland
I got so emotional watching this!! You guys sparked my love of traveling and inspired me to want to visit/live in asia, and years later I am actually living in south korea!! Now I'm coming back to your channel, not to daydream, but searching for places to travel and recommendations since I am actually able to take advantage of them now, and it's so surreal! love seeing how far you guys have come and thanks for inspiring me to find a life i love, too :)
Thanks for hearting my comment guys! Me and my family have been watching since around 2017 and we love you soooooo much! You always make our day better! Also Kara, I love snacks too🍬😂
I love watching you all in a country that doesn't primarily speak English. I feel like we don't get to see it a lot, but it's fun watching your all's reaction to not understanding everything.
In Japan we don't stick the chopsticks up in the dishes because they do that at funerals for the dead. On another note, I'm so glad you went back to Japan!!! I watched your first Japan videos recently and said out loud to my husband that you guys need to come back now that you are experienced travelers 😃Love your videos!!!!
Lol, so, irrelevant, but… …I’ve been taking American Sign Language and I use it at where I volunteer. When Kara said “I love snacks” I absentmindedly signed “me too”. I also signed “I love you” at my coffee maker yesterday morning. Clearly, needing coffee is something we have in common.
The things looking like fish guts/intestines are actually fish sperm sacks called Shirako😅😂 it has a creamy texture, and it’s considered a delicacy in Japan (I don’t love it tho…). Thank you for your lovely videos❤
I definitely heard that throwback music at the end! It’s really like full circle! Can we just keep revisiting all the places from the first couple of years?
I absolutely cringed. I’m sorry but please do not stick your chopsticks in the rice. You talked about it, but you also did it before you started eating. It’s bad omen and it symbolizes death. The chopsticks are the incense and the bowl of rice is the holder. When you visit a country, please look up proper etiquette especially in Asian countries that believe in superstition. I enjoy your videos, but I also watch other RUclipsrs interviewing Japanese people and they always have a common complaint regarding foreigners. Not knowing proper etiquette. Just know, we are nice to your face, but we are also mad shit talkers.
Yeah. I was a little embarrassed by that too, and saying arigato arimasu instead of arigato gozaimasu. At least learn please and thank you properly. Also misinterpreting manners are friendliness and calling them cute like children - its a tool for creating distance and they can detest you while being polite lol. I love Japan, lived there a long time but this kind of naivety is frustrating.
Hey, we don’t mind the sappy! It’s wonderful to see that you have as much joy today as when you started this journey. We are frequent travelers from the US who have been having a love affair with Europe for awhile now. We are heading to Japan for the first time later this year though and can’t wait to experience what looks like an amazing country.
Watched all the old Vlogs for the 3rd time ever ! I think you should do a Q and A / update episode. Whatever happened to Charlie? Jordan and Julianne? I know they started a family. How is Nate's Grandpa doing? Dusty and Sarah-I miss them any future adventures together or with Kala and Barrett?? Just my thoughts. Love you both.
Fan fact I love how you display the time and most of the words matching the sorroundings, and I wish you showed bloops of kara licking the ice :):) I would LMAO
It makes my heart smile to know that your journey started in Japan 🇯🇵 ♥ I'm Japanese living in Dallas TX and I'm finally headed back to my home country in one week! I found you through Facebook videos and glad I did! Watching you 2 be so open to everything, the food, culture and your enthusiasm really makes me happy! I will now follow you both! Arigatoo ❤
I have been watching you guys for years now and I love to see you guys grow! I'm always waiting for your next videos and it never fails to amaze and make me happy. Thank you for the work you do! It is highly appreciated :))
Kara and Nate's childlike sense of wonder hasn't changed in 7 years. They seem to appreciate and be grateful for everything they get to experience.
I hope they will stay like this 😊🌸
Im amazed on how down to earth they are considering the amazing things they get to do. It is easy to lose the appreciation for things as you continue to grow. They basically found a way to make a business out if their passion. And still be excited for the small things (and the big ones to). Love u guys!
Oh yes .. their childlike buoyancy is a treasure 😁💗
It actually got better after a few months and hasn't really gone away since 😊

I love that you guys have been bringing back the bloopers and some little everyday travel life moments into your past few videos. It feels like the perfect blend of your daily vlogs from back in the day with the incredible quality and editing you guys have mastered over the years. 🙌
100% agree. The last few vlogs- maybe since the orca cruise- have felt so good. Comfortable but still showing us new places.
Yes, in my eyes they became more loveble since they are more natural
Your editor is amazing.

ようこそ日本へ!!日本を楽しんでくれてとても嬉しいです!!kara の言う「ありがとう」が可愛いすぎます☺日本一週とかしてほしいな。。。日本は素敵な場所がたくさんあるので😌
The lady in the fish market saying Yay was almost as cute as Nate and Kara! And omg it all looked delicious!
couldnt stop smiling
She kept saying to Kara “it’s delicious!”
See, now THESE types of videos give me that classic OG Kara and Nate vibe! The immersing in the culture and interacting with locals 💯💯

can’t believe how lucky we are to come along on our journeys, thank you guys 💕❤️
YES! Finally bringing back what I loved about your videos. Loved the OG feel of this video, this Japan series is going to be epic!
"Snack time. I love snacks" ~ Kara 2023

Beautiful. Always wanted to go to Japan, at least I can live vicariously through you and Nate!
I will never be able to visit a tenth of the places they've been so I'm doing the same
Me as well !!😊
Kara and Nate you may be getting older, but the smile lines that you have getting deeper from your happiness and love from the years you share.
I love how Eamon and Bec are trying to avoid winter and y’all are like YEA SNOW!! 😂❤
They come from Canada so I'd totally understand that..

Awww... you guys are back in Japan! It makes me nostalgic for your very first RUclips trip here on this channel! ❤ I love to see how you've grown and blossomed since then. So proud of all you've accomplished!
the music was cringy
@@Grahamrobinsonvt802 Ahh, they were just starting out. Plus, they hadn't discovered Epidemic Sound yet! 😊
@@FireCracker-vd8pq true
I completely get your love for one of the greatest countries! The food, the people the all around cuteness! They are the most gracious people ever! This episode touched my heart and simply can't wait for next week! The poke bowl you created was phenominal!
🐟I hate seafood but Kara just convinced me to try again but only in the fish market you guys were at 😁. Hello from snowy Ontario 🇨🇦
the beginning part of the video got me all misty eyed :,) so beautiful
I get that you' re in love with ramen, but you absolutely have to try okonomiyaki. It' s so delicious! Seeing your video makes me wanna go back to Japan and eat all the foods🍜 greetings from switzerland
I just looked it up and it looks really good!!
@@bethb7965 yeah, we had it prepared right in front of us in a special Restaurant in Tokyo. It was unreal!
Kara trekking along behind Nate with a smile that says "I'm just happy to be here". Too cute.
You two are the perfect ambassadors for travel in wild, wacky and wonderful Japan! 😁
So glad you also love this beautiful country I now call home! 🏔❄️
Kate I think in a past life you where from Japan. You seem completely at ease with the culture you fit in ❤️
THE MUSIC AT THE END!!!!!😂❤OG KARA AND NATE❤❤❤❤
I absolutely love Kara, she is so fun and natural! I’d wish we could be friends😊 Nate is cool too, and I love how good he is to his wife👏
Yay for playing "the song" during the Kara and Nate 2016 flash back!
Lol, so, irrelevant, but…
…I’ve been taking American Sign Language and I use it at where I volunteer. When Kara said “I love snacks” I absentmindedly signed “me too”. I also signed “I love you” at my coffee maker yesterday morning. Clearly, needing coffee is something we have in common.
Hahahahah I love that🫶🏻
I love how raw and real y'all are! Fave travel vloggers ever!
I love Japan, lived there a long time but this kind of naivety is frustrating.
if ur getting sick of the cold and snow, you should come to Western Australia, its technically autumn but it doesn't cool down until April!
not every loved up moment in this video fully bringing me to tears because y'all love each other so much and it showssss
@kara and Nate, this vlog somehow made me really happy. I looooove Japan. Thanks for everything
I LOVE Kara’s pure love and excitement over the food LOL!!!!! I am the exact same way especially after skiing or other sports hehehehehehee ❤️
I was literally in Niseko last week! The snow and wilderness in Japan is truly breathtaking.
It makes my heart smile to know that your journey started in Japan 🇯🇵 ♥
I'm Japanese living in Dallas TX and I'm finally headed back to my home country in one week! I found you through Facebook videos and glad I did! Watching you 2 be so open to everything, the food, culture and your enthusiasm really makes me happy! I will now follow you both! Arigatoo ❤
I love the throwback music at the end!! Such a great video, as usual!
I have been watching you guys for years now and I love to see you guys grow! I'm always waiting for your next videos and it never fails to amaze and make me happy. Thank you for the work you do! It is highly appreciated :))
Loved the music at the end as a quick homage to when Kara used the same music on every video.😊
Oshi......Yay! Cracks me up every time
2 of the nicest, coolest people I've ever met!! You 2 are an inspiration!
