I am so happy to have come across your comment! When I was 15 years of age, my mother and I watched a movie about a young blind boy and an "ugly" girl. It stuck with me my whole life, but I could never remember the name of the movie, and only vaguely the girl's name. For 50 years (literally) I have searched. Seeing your name reminded me again and, though I expected nothing to come of it, I Googled it and... almost passed out when it popped up. Seeing it is not just a movie, but a novel, I turned to my husband and said I could now die in peace... but only after I read the novel, of course! Lol!
