I also haven't combed my hair in years! Finger detangling is the way to go, decreases breakage plus it doesn't hurt as much as a comb. I also co-wash instead of using shampoo. I think once you find a regimen that works for your hair and budget, life is much easier
I have to go back to finger detangling. I noticed I loss less hair when I did. Last few months I have been and combing to see if I see a difference. I definitely do. Love finger detangling.
Just discovered this too, I just wash condition etc once out of shower I apply leave in conditioner (Garnier ) then some oil (jamaican black castor oil) then just finger comb/detangle... my hair is so healthy, moisturized and frizz free
Si ni Mungu 😂? Today is wash day and I just took down my twists lol. I been to the salon thrice in the last 3 years, but I've never tried not using a comb. About to try this
Finger detangling does not work, at least for me. I use a comb non wide tooth. Get every singl knot and tangle out because I hate having knots and a big ball of a mess. Tip to root with a rat tail comb lmbo. (I have very fine hair, but a lot of it, like a lot)

The way to go indeed. Do you notice build up after a while? That's what scares me about cowashing.
True, tailoring it to your budget and lifestyle.
@@MargieyAkinyi how do you that up do hairstyle you have on this video without a comb?
noelle sutton For me, after I finger detangle and Bantu knot over night it stretches it. Makes it easy to get in a pony tail.
Same I only co-wash and finger-detangle
Short and to the point. I love it
Thank you 😊

Way less hair is lost. Combing is a strange concept to me now lol.
You should go back.
@@MargieyAkinyi I definitely am. This weekend is I will be washing my hair and I will not be using a comb this time lol
Thanks, you've convinced me to switch to finger detangle only, and I have the tightest coils.
It's really the only way for me 😄
Thanks for watching!

I'm going to avoid combing my hair 😩!! Thank you for sharing this💕
You could try a combination of both finger detangling and combing first for a smoother transition.
It's worth it, I promise.
Glad it helped 😊
@@MargieyAkinyi ok!! Will definitely try it!! Thank you
This is what I need... In the USA 🇺🇸 maintaining natural hair is an expensive affair... I will upload my first attempt
I can't even imagine how expensive.

Takes time and consistency to adjust to this routine but its worth it in the end.

What brand of shea butter do you use? How much does it cost?
I use the raw shea butter by Natural Hair Kenya on Instagram. A 250g tub is Kshs 550.
You're adorable 💕
Thank you 😄
Beautiful.. I do that too
Waww how often do you wash your hair?
I wash my hair once every 2 weeks
