I just fixed my Bosch dishwasher. Problem was stuck float in Water Level Control Assembly.
This keep the pump constantly running. Hard water/calcium deposits pretty much caked up stopping float.
I went a few steps further and took apart whole assembly and descaled parts and float with CLR cleaner and brushes.
Cleaned Styrofoam float on bottom and all moving parts. (Red push-rod and other parts).
Works as good as new now.
Thanks for video.
Brilliant idea @Robert Botman, I did the same and used CLR to remove all the grime and it ran a full 2 hr cycle no problems! (fingers crossed no other issues crop up). Thanks for the tip. The dishwasher repair man quoted $200 for the assembly + another $200 labor! Thanks to You Tube, Repair Clinic and kind folk like you helping others. Kind Regards.
@@ThreeBeatsAndTheRest Did it happen to be Error Code E5? That's what I'm getting and I'm wondering if it's the same problem. The dishwasher tries to cycle but quits before it starts and displays that error code.
@@mpapahronis Could you solve the issue? If yes, can you explain which way? I am getting the e05 code on my bosch dw.
I love this train sound
Saved me a lot of time and effort - thanks for the great instructions :-)
Nice thanks!
Was your dishwasher not feeling up properly
Eric Schmidt it was continually draining
Paddy Moore thanks.... Just running through garbage disposal.
How do you know if the problem is a bad float switch? Dishwasher seems to be overfilling, and pump runs, but does not seem to drain the tub. I have cleared all blockages. In the past the outlet near the sink, the pressure from the pump was so good to shoot up like a fountain. Currently, just barely dribbling. Got some water in the bottom pan, that seems to have activated an emergency float switch? And pump ran hard as usual. Drained water pan, and now back to overfilling and not pumping hard.
Turns out there was some debris in the pressure chamber preventing the float from working to trigger the switch. Cleaned the pressure chamber out and no more problems!
